Better than expected. The reviews gave me a little pause, but we were hungry and practically next door, so we gave it a shot. The restaurant is enormous, cavernlike. A little drafty and dark inside, but clean. Lots of TVs with sports & fishing, muted. We enjoyed the circa 1988 soundtrack. The menu's pretty typical bbq/burger joint but had a few surprises, like sweet potato fries. The beer selection was good, and had a few I haven't tried. We split a cheese and gravy mock poutine appetizer which was probably the single unhealthiest thing I've ever eaten but delicious. My husband tried their western style burger and I ordered the char-grilled meatloaf. The burger was huge, patty melt style, and very good. The meatloaf was very good and the veggies were cooked nicely. Dinner for two plus a shared appetizer (that could honestly feed six) & several beers put us out less than forty dollars. Solid.

It's a bit cheaper than other places in the area. Burgers are $7 instead of $10 or 11, but you get chips instead of fries. Everyone though their food was okay, nothing spectacular. Waitress was a little absent-minded and we had to have her re-do the bills because nothing matched up. Lots of games and crap for kids to play, quite a few TV's. We only went here because all the places we wanted to go to in Clarkston had 1-2 hour waits. They put chopped celery in the nachos topping. Who the heck does that.

Second visit with the kids and had great service and food! Got seated right away and severs were right on our order. Had the sizzle fajitas and lake perch, all was good and hot. Will be back!

B's is close to home so I frequent here often. The waitstaff is super friendly and very prompt. I have never had bad service. It's always very clean and the atmosphere is comfortable. They have great prices on beer and the best burgers in town! It's also one of my favorite places to get pizza.

My GF and I tried to eat at Union Bar, but we had a concert to attend and it was a 1.5 hour wait. We were in a bind and found this place down the street. The firs thing you notice is how big this place is. It looks kind of like a big lob cabin or something, and I can't imagine every single seat being filled here. It would be like 300 people with all the room they have. Plenty of TV's for the sports crowd, too. After we were seated at a far booth by this gaming area inside, we were ignored for 10 minutes. We figured we would order our drinks and meals at once to save time, and someone finally came over and took our orders. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich at the waitress' recommendation -- that was a bad choice. I've eaten a lot of pulled pork in my life and this was near the bottom in terms of quality and presentation. They serve it on what amounts to a plain Jane hamburger bun, which immediately fell apart after one bite. The pork just wasn't cooked well enough, and the sauce was too much to be honest. It's like they tried to cover up the blandness with BBQ sauce. The onion rings I got were pretty good, though, and good with the spicy ranch dipping sauce. The GF got a salad with chicken and veggies and enjoyed it. We each also got tall beers (she an Oberon, me a Two Hearted) -- my beer tasted a little flat and abnormal. I just drank it because, again, time was a factor. The service after being ignored for 10 minutes was good the rest of the way. She was courteous and gave us what we needed, though her recommendations weren't exactly on point. The place is clean, however, and the prices are standard fare for a dining establishment. Was it great? Not at all. Was it terrible? Nah. It was so-so... just OK and not anything to tell about to people looking for a place to eat in Clarkston.

I used to live in the apartments behind Mr B's and it was awesome being able to walk there! The food is always good, but a little pricey. The drinks are also pretty on point. However, I never felt welcomed by the bartenders and waitresses. This didn't affect my review because the food and atmosphere made up for it. *please hire friendly, WELCOMING staff members!!!!

I'm not sure why people choose this place the service is terrible not one time out of the million times I've been there have I had good service. We go for the pool tables mostly but I'm beginning to think pool isn't all that when I'm not getting the service I ask for takes 20 mins to order food comes out fast but it's never our waitress that brings us the food we sit and watch our drinks at the bar while our server is just talking with co workers. Defiantly not worth my time or money I give it two stars for how good the food is but I rather get carry out then waste my money tipping someone who doesn't deserve it. I was a server it's a tough job but it's not that hard !!!!!

Not sure why people eat here. I've been here three times- forced, as this is where we were told to meet for various occasions. Food is gross and twice they had a band playing and I couldn't hear anything. Back to the food- gross. If you are a foodie you will never find anything good here. Good luck.

I totally despise this restaurant in the Royal Oak location, total douche bag central, however, this location is completely different (at least on the day that I went). We sat under the covered patio outside and had dinner and some drinks. Sometimes I just want a really good salad and their Cobb Salad didn't disappoint. It was really good and it came with the "good" ranch dressing. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is what it is. Nothing fancy, but nothing bad either. I would for sure come back to try something else on their menu.

Heading back from a long venture to Grand Blanc MI, the Bar Burger Quest Crew decided to make a jaunt off the highway and stop at the first bar we came across. That bar was Mr B's Roadhouse in Clarkston, MI. Instantly we were both excited because we thought we were going to see a young Patrick Swayze sitting at the door... unfortunately he was off this particular night. The building was larger than the average bars we go into. It consisted of a 40 foot long bar, a dance floor, a stage, and a sitting area to enjoy your burger with friends and family. It had a country setting with an open floor plan which gave you the opportunity to see across the entire bar. At first we were skeptical as we walked into this bar because the very first thing we seen on the television was CNN. Now we have been into numerous bars and I can honestly say the last time I saw CNN on a TV in a bar was when Clinton was in office. The food on the other hand turned out to be excellent. The burgers we ordered where the Cajun Sensation and the Wisconsin Campfire Burger. Cajun Sensation Burger consisted of rubbed Cajun spices, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, shredded lettuce and creole mayo. Burger - 3.5 Price - 4 Service - 3 Overall - 4 Wisconsin Campfire burger was char grilled with BBQ sauce, bacon, aged cheddar, lettuce, and red onion. Burger - 3.5 Price - 4 Service - 2.5 Overall - 3 Both of these burgers where gone before you could say Fox News and the special ingredients that kicked them off where the creole sauce on one and the delicious thick bacon on the other. This bar had 14 beers on tap including the monthly special of a great wheat beer called 312 for only $3.00. You can hardly beat that price a gas station. It wasn't very busy while we were there, but judging by the pictures it looks like a great place to frequent on the weekend. The only thing that could have made this place better would be fewer opinions and more smiles!

Meh. Price was ok but my steak was terrible for the price. Overcooked, tough as John Wayne, It wasn't the worst place I've been to but it was far from the best! Nothing really compels me to return.

The food here is okay. Sandwiches and burgers come with Lay's-style potato chips which is sub-par since it is an extra couple bucks for fries or another different side on top of the slightly high prices. The atmosphere is nice though.

I couldn't decide between three and four stars. Definitely settled on four. We went with a very large group, and the waitress still dished out phenomenal service. Prices were pretty good...very reasonable. The side salad was enjoyable, and the ranch was great. The cole slaw was even good (and I am EXTREMELY picky on my cole slaw). I had a BBQ Pork Sandwich which was good and just as I expected it to be. Everyone else in our group seemed to be happy with their meals.

This is one of my boyfriend and I's favorite bars to go to. The staff is friendly, the food and drinks are good, as well as the atmosphere. It's an awesome place to meet up with some friends, play a few games of pool, and have some drinks. The bartender Amanda is super awesome!

Typical bar food, though not in a bad way. It wasn't anything fantastic, but it didn't suck. Honestly, it was just okay because I don't really remember the restaurant or the food.

Dry bland salmon. Basic bar food. Nothing to write home about. My kids like the area where they have the arcade like games. Atmosphere is casual and fun in the evening.

Just ate there. Food was really good and the portion was very big for the price.

Mr. B's has consistent food quality. Our family favorites include the fajitas, the pulled pork sandwich, the large Greek salad and the chicken fingers. Our favorite appetizer is the homemade chips and salsa. Waitstaff is always friendly and efficient. A popular Clarkston restaurant. Food is fresh and served piping hot. My only disappointment is the quality of their steaks, other than that this restaurant can be counted on to deliver a good meal.
