Good food. Great bar and sports bar. I would give it a higher rating if their WI-FI worked for iPhone and iPad users. This has been my complaint and the reason I go to other sport bars in the area (Mr B's and Overtyme where there is NO problems with the WI-FI). I should say the Windows and Android users have no problem with the Wi-Fi.

Good place to watch a game but it is kind of small so it may not be the best for hosting large parties greater than 20 or so people. I was here on a Sunday during a lions game and the place was packed with fans and had to wait 5 minutes before I was acknowledged by the bartender. They had good specials and overall this place seemed reasonably priced.

Quick friendly service, even on a busy night. Huge portions- enough to share or save for later. They even have a healthy menu with a bison burger....or you can substitute a portobello cap for a bun. Good place to eat with lots of parking. The sweet fries are good, not fabulous. Standard bar food with a pretty good variety of kinds of burgers and big beer glasses. :)

Not worth the wait of getting a table on Half Off Pizza night. We waited about 25-30 minutes for a table and then another hour waiting for one pizza. The pizza is only good because you are starving by the time your order is up. No disrespect, but the place is too small for what they can handle. Expand or do away with specials you can't deliver on.

Old bar drama with staff. The old lady manager/owner/who knows who she is?? She is rude and stuck up. I used to go here all the time but it has been going down hill! Change the wait staff and remodel the place and I might go back. You could have about the same restaurant/bar experience as going to a Ruby Tuesday or Applebee's.

First off, two stars at best with moderate alcohol consumption (heavy drinking). This place has steadily been on a spiraling downslope. What a dump. If you only read this please save yourself and go elsewhere. The service on a weekday was poor. Wait time for food exceeded over 25 minutes. Waitress had minimal interaction with table and gave overall impression of neglect. Several people entered the place without gettingn greeted, waited five minutes in the door and left. Literally walked the f@&k out. Seated near the enterance I witnessed this twice with large groups. Setting is terrible. The resturant feels more as a dungon. It is so dark and depressing you are tempted to jump off some bridge. No windows inside despite actually having windows on exterior. The setting makes you want to sleep..ZzzZzzZzz. The light fixtures lol tiffany style, not compensating for the poor layout and setting. Food! Help! It is horrendous. The obvious white elephant in the place is food, pathetic definition of food. The burgers are pure frozen food. If I had a guess probably pre-packaged bought in bulk patties. No authenticity period. The appetizers are disgusting. Salsa and chips, what a disappointment. I could buy better atiff in a grocery store for a more appropriate price. Macaroni and cheese, oh my its getting worse. My table companions had barely finished the meal due to poor lack of taste. Forget the garnish, you cannot dress up a pile of turds. I ordered a side salad prior to the meal however it came out last....seem right? The salad was old and had large pieces of the lettuce head. How hard is it to fuck up a salad?? I hope I dont get sick from this damn place. I will not ever come here again. From the experience to the service what an epic waste of time and money. I feel like I personally should get a refund from Hamlin pub for fraud of impersonating a resturant because clearly this place is nothing close.

I am a regular at this Hamlin Pub. The pizza is really good and consistent. Burgers are pretty good, too. Soups are good. Most everything else is standard bar food. Good selection of draft beers, and they run regular specials on craft beers. Service is always quite good. Sadly, it seems the wait staff rotates in and out very quickly. There are only a couple servers that have been around for any length of time. Lots of TV's for sports. It is worth a try.

This is my go-to spot before a concert at Pine Knob. We have a couple drinks, a quick meal, and we're out of there. Tons of regulars here as well. We happened to stop in when it was half off pizza night. It was a weekday and we actually had to wait a bit for a table. EVERYONE there was ordering pizza. The waitress even jokingly chuckled as to why we weren't getting pizza. I got half off on my drinks (happy hour) and a California Wrap. It was a bit dry, but still tasty. It's pretty loud in there, but that is part of the ambiance. It's a great place to start your night :)

Wow color me impressed. I was here for NYE in December 2010 and they served free pizza at midnight. I thought for sure they brought it in for some place, but nope they made it them selves. It was super tasty, not beer goggle tasty, but actually tasty. So tasty I have been back on a few occasions to pick up a pie. It was thin crust (clearly, not the level of tomatoes, tivoilis or supinos) but very good. You'll never believe you are at a bar good. They use the pepperoni that is smaller in size and cups up when you cook it...similar to Alibi's. All I know is the pepperoni is the bomb. They use a good amount of cheese too. As far as the bar itself is concerned there are tables, games, bands, karaoke, food selection, bar seating, tvs to catch the games....they offer a full menu, but I can only testify on the zaa.

I posted a couple of weeks ago and we did return last night. We really enjoyed and could go on and on about what we ate and the wonderful staff But.................. When we left and opened the door we were assaulted by a REPULSIVE STINK OF STALE CIGARETTE SMOKE and 11 people standing smoking OUTSIDE within 6 feet of the door. We eat out 5 or 6 days a week and other bars and restaurants find a way to stop people from being right in front of the door but when I called and told the manager about it he simply said' "Oh well, when the Michigan law kicked them out they had to go somewhere". It not only stunk but it was intimidating walking through a gauntlet of people while trying to hold your breath. WE WILL NEVER GO AGAIN

Their food is good, and they feature a decent happy hour as well as daily food specials. I also like that they have a "light" menu with more nutritious options. It is quite loud no matter what time of day, which can make conversation difficult.

I go here often with my co-workers. We prefer to sit at the bar because service is better and friendlier there. The waitstaff is often rude and has a "can't be bothered" attitude. The food is good, though, and reasonably priced. If you don't mind having to flag down your server, it's a decent place to watch a game.

If you are looking for a place to go for good food and drinks, don't bother. Their nachos were the worst I've ever had and I had to ask the waitress to bring salsa and sour cream over even though it says it comes with it on the menu. They have cramped little tables with sticky menus. I probably won't be going back.
