If you're looking for a place to grab a few latenight drinks and grub in the Clarkston, White Lake, Davisburg and Highland areas, Buck Shots is open till 2am ***7 days a week***. Oh YEAH. The BF and I ended up here after checking to see if the White Lake Inn or Root was open for a nightcap or two on a Sunday (not). This is not a place where I would expect to be served beyond-the-pale food, but I really enjoyed their large order of $2 homemade potato chips. Definitely enough for two people. I was STILL hungry even after having a full dinner with appetizers and dessert at 21111 in Novi. I also ordered up a Greek salad with cut up grilled chicken breast. The chicken breast was mostly moist and the salad overall was good. I would probably order it without the sliced beets next times. That's just a personal Yuk for me. The bartender greeted us when we walked in and we sat ourselves. It's got a nicer sports-barry feel with a number of TVs and animals heads on the walls. The dining tables are thick slabs of cool shellack-ed (sp?) wood. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. Drink prices were fair: $8 Jonny Black, $3 domestic drafts and $5 premium drafts. I saw cheaper specials and various events promoted on their website recently and they're also on Facebook. I will definitely be back. It's nice to have a place open that late in that semi-remote neck of the woods.

Great place to hang out on A Saturday night. Great DJ playing some good tunes. Staff friendly and food pretty decent all the time.

We used to love this place but we won't be back. The menu has changed and is not as good. We miss the nacho! The food quality is poor. So sad!

My boyfriend and I were visiting his family in Waterford, MI and they took us here on Sunday 11/25/12. I ordered the Buck Shots Grilled Chicken Salad and it was delicious! It is comprised of fresh mixed greens with sun dried cranberries, red onion, tomatoes, roasted walnuts, crumbled bleu cheese, topped with char grilled chicken & served with poppy seed dressing- I ate the whole thing and would order it again! Our server was friendly and everyone in our party of 6 seemed to enjoy their lunch. I recommend Buck Shots Bar and Grill!

A favorite spot for the locals! We love the buffalo chicken dip, fajitas, burgers, wings and etc! Great atmosphere and depending on the night you may find love music, trivia or some other form of entertainment. They have a nice selection of draft beers which has recently and pleasantly increased in size and flavor. If you want to throw a party, they have a fantastic back room and are awesome to deal with during planning and service arrangements. If you haven't been, you should!

Wings: not good at all! They were so greasy, it was gross. Service: not that great either. When my friend and I came in, nobody was at the door to seat us or even acknowledge us. Once at out table, I sat with an empty beer for 20 min and when my server came she didn't offer to bring me another one. She disappeared for most of my meal, and wasn't very friendly the few times she stopped by our table. Looks like an ok place to sit at the bar and have a drink though.

Wow - this place is a hidden gem. We were out in the Clarkston area and I pulled up places to eat in the Clarkston area and this came up. We had been out this way before and thought we would give it a try. Wow - am I glad we made it out here. They had an 80's band playing that night which was a nice plus. The drinks were made very well and the food choices were excellent. They were very busy, but you wouldn't have noticed based on the great service! We hope to make it out here again soon. We will be checking to see if the band is back out there too as they were really good.

Good butgers, enough tvs, outdoor option, friendly staff and was checked on by the owner at one point. Get the Bacon Mac n Cheese special!

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. The service was great and quick. The food was just okay...they have some interesting menu items. I'd go back, but it wouldn't be my first pick.

There is something that turns me off about strip mall bars, so it took me a while to finally make it out to buckshots. The decor has a "lodgey" feel to it. Its like a sports bar for people who hunt. There are tvs everywhere so you wont miss a game, and a stage for live music for the after dinner crowd. The service is great. Fast and friendly. The menu is large with only a handful of entrees and theyhave off menu specials every night. The sandwiches that iv had are all good. The clarkston club might be the best bar sandwich in the area. The salads are a little pricy but the poppy seed dressing is delicious. Dont get me started on the woodsman fries, i'm moving from the area soon and i will miss them the most. They have a great beer selection, local and not, but you have to pay top dollar for the good stuff. The wife and i usually get out of there for around $45 after dinner and drinks.

I had their bacon barbeque burger and it was great. I would consider it to be one of the top burgers in the area.

I've been here a few times and enjoyed my time each visit. I get the BBQ pulled pork quesadilla, which is AWESOME! I do have to laugh at R.G. who say's the server lacks knowledge of beer or food and then takes the servers word that "People don't like the sandwich anyway" (In Philly, you get your PCS with cheez whiz...That would be the "strange" cheese sauce you got on the side) RG has the most useless, ignorant review I've seen on Yelp in a long time! Go to BuckShots, check it out..It's not fantastic like The WoodShop but it's better than a Village Place and runs along the same lines as Mr. B's or Red Knapps. Atmosphere 4 of 5 Service 3 of 5 Food 3 of 5 Price 4 of 5 Overall 3 of 5

I admittedly stopped in to see if it was the hole I thought it would be an was pleasantly surprised to find a really nice, maybe even upscale bar. If you skip the buffalo chicken dip or the $5 martinis on Monday, you're totally missing out.

First time I came here I couldn't get a seat and I was all but ignored. Someone must have seen that review because they fell over over themselves to accommodate me. Off to a good start. Let's see how that burger tastes.

We went here on the recommendation of a couple friends who grew up in the area. We've been here a few times and the experiences have been varied. PROs: - Decently extensive menu for a bar... though their Chalkboard Specials seem to be better than anything else on their main menu. - Friendly waitstaff - Good sized portions; beware of the soup. It usually comes out too hot to eat and after letting it sit for 30+ minutes, it was still piping hot - Greenbean deep-fried cajun thingies... they're awesome. CONs: - Venison burger was very gamey. Yes, I do realize that deer is gong to taste gamey and I've had venison before... but this tasted sort of wrong. Since I ordered it in March, I'm assuming it's whatever they had stuck in the freezer from November or December - Very busy on Friday nights, though not a surprise. You'll have better luck with getting a smaller crowd on a random weekday

Welcome to Clarkston! Buck Shots Bar and Grill is located at the corner of White Lake Road and Andersonville Roads. Love having a new place to go that has a great atmosphere, good food and cold beer! The restaurant is like an Up North Lodge but classy. The table are made to look like rough hewn logs - beautiful. There are trophys around on the walls but it is not over done. The food is good! The burgers were great - hand made in the back and I believe the buns are fresh baked. We have met friends there a couple times and have not been disappointed. There is now music after 9:00 p.m. on the weekends - haven't experienced that yet - but am looking forward to it. Shout out to the folks who have made our visits terrific...Jay, Tracey, Carly and of course Jim Newton (the best).

Calling Chef Ramsay!!! This place needs help... went here after being recommended by people we know (we thought they were our friends) and we were very disappointed. To start with, the server lacked knowledge of the beer selection, menu items and wasn't attentive on a Sunday afternoon with light traffic. The french onion soup tasted like condensed Campbell's from a can, and was microwaved to melt the cheese instead of baked like the menu stated. At $4.50 a serving, we expected better. The "Philly Cheese Steak" Sandwich was served with a strange nacho cheese sauce - on the side, because, according to the server, "most people don't like it anyways". Note to management: If most people don't like it, why serve it at all??? The overall ambiance, as stated, had a cabin-like feel. It would be a fun place to eat/hang out if the food and service was better.

Went here for lunch and had the Fish & Chips. It was very good, and good portions. Inexpensive for what I received. The decor is fun, being modeled after a wood cabin type hunting lodge. It was clean and service was excellent. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is that there was no beer list, and no prices of beers. Why am I treated like I am cheap to want to know how much I'm paying? Why is that so common these days??

Me and my wife visited Buck Shot for the first time on Valentines Day. The atmosphere is great with an outdoor, nature, cabin type feeling. It features a long wrap around bar. However, it could use some booths. The customer service was something to be desired. We walked in and no sign or hostess telling us to "seat yourself". It was awkward standing there looking around for something to happen, and it appeared other patrons were having the same feeling as they walked in. When it did get busier, the jeans, camouflage t-shirt wearing manager/hostess dude with the hat did say "go ahead and seat yourself". It took forever to get a waiter to help us. However, that was no fault to the staff bc there was only 2 of them waiting on many tables. The food was ok, with normal portions, but a very limited menu. We seen other frustrated couples come and go with no service at all. I gave this 2 out of 5 stars for the desirable atmosphere. However, a close 3 would have been possible with some actual prompt service and a few added menu items. A simple sign would improve the experience a bit. Although, the manager was going for the laid back country look, a polo shirt and some khakis never hurt anyone. This place has potential and I wish it well.

I went last night 12/12/12 @10:00 pm. I can only give you one review on this place. The service sucks! I waited 10 mins and no one came to my table! The girls was talking to there friends that was in there and they wasn't busy at all. I got up and left. Some rude people that work there. The bartender wasn't that busy and he didn't even want to take my order. It was my first time there and last.
