I've been to Mexican Fiesta tons of time over the last few years. I love the salsa and hot chip ... many times we get this to go for snack during a game. The food is consistantly good each time we've been there, and the service has always been good. I would like to recommend a change for them. To me, there is not much difference between the burrito's and the enchilada's. It would be great for them to start creating a different kind of burrito. Places like Moe's, Qdoba's, and Baja Fresh are making a ton of burrito's with most ingredients Mexican Fiesta has on hand ... fresh mex. However, a beef burrito from Mexican Fiesta is just beef, tortilla, and cheese. No lettuce ... rice ... beans ... tomato .... guac ... salsa ... nothing else. So, I challenge Mexican Fiesta to start thinking differently and create some fresh mex dishes instead of staying with the same meat, tortilla, and cheese combo.

Some things just don't go together... Black shoes with a brown belt. A business suit with a mullet. A Hazel Park native at a dentist's office. And to this list, you can hereby add burritos with cole slaw. I can get past the whole un-authentic Mexican food thing. I used to love Chi-Chi's, and I eat Taco Bell regularly. My last meal on Earth would be tacos geared toward a Mormon palate served with fresh cut fries and fry sauce at Fiesta Ole ( yelp.com/biz/fiesta-ole-… ) in Idaho Falls, ID. I can get past the awful service. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated in an otherwise empty restaurant because the hostess was busy flirting with one of the waiters. I can even get past the dingy interior. While this one is the poor man's Chernobyl that is the Dearborn location, the Canton location is still extremely dingy for a relatively new building. I cannot get past the ridiculously Detroit® notion of piling nasty-sweet cole slaw next to a plain nasty burrito. For those who haven't tried it, the two dishes go together about as well as Mel Gibson and an NAACP rally. I don't understand why they bother making two salsas. A blind man couldn't tell the difference between either of them, and neither of them are any spicier than ricotta cheese. I usually like to end a one-star by suggesting another nearby restaurant within the same genre, but in this case my only suggestion to those looking for sit-down Mexican food is to go somewhere other than Detroit.

Just love this place me and my husband have been eating here for 20 plus years. We moved to Hartland Mi 16 years ago and still go to Mexican Fiesta II at least every other week. One of our favorite person to wait on us is Kerry we always request her unless she isn't working. The other two people that we like to wait on us is Aaron and Ashley. Our food, drinks and service is always great.

I am a bit reluctant to downgrade to 2 stars, since my kids still love their fave dishes (chicken soft tacos and machacado). I, however, am increasingly disgruntled. One of my favorites was the Mini Super Tostada/Super Tostada. The mini was a big dinner and the super was big enough for 2 to split for lunch. We ordered the Super yesterday and (what we thought was) a Mini came out. We asked, "Uhm, didn't we order a Super?" Answer: That IS the super now. We question: What is a mini now? Answer: Oh, now it comes on a shell this big (server holds hands out with thumbs and forefingers almost touching). Sigh. A mini is now a "super." 40% price increase overnight. My previous reviews were willing to overlook the mediocre nature of some of the dishes because of the value, which is apparently evaporating quickly. Bah.

A quick and inexpensive meal that doesn't make you feel yucky like Taco Bell does. Cute atmosphere with food that leaves you satisfied. The chips and salsa are nicely prepared (fresh) but sometimes the chips come out underdone. If you are a cheese lover go for the enchiladas. I have memories of it doing a better job 3-5 years ago.

I don't like giving negative reviews because of the effect it could have someone's hard work. When I moved here everybody raved about this place. The food is alright but not spectacular. The service is good and the prices are decent. I have no complaints about it but it's not the best Mexican food in the area. However, for some odd reason everytime I pass by this place the parking lot is packed no matter what time I drive by and I just don't understad.

I have dined at this restaurant 3 times now (twice at the same exact table:). Mexican Fiesta II of Canton has not disappointed this lover of Mexican food...just be mindful of the sometimes less than stellar customer service, and "hanging out" of staff around the front wait stand. All in all, I would recommend and return to dine here...for now.

Yum, Mexican food is number one on my list of "really good food that is bad for you". Nobody can resist the warm crispy chips and salsa at Mexican Fiesta. Try not to eat more than a basket full, or you won't have room for your meal! My favorites are the tostadas and burritos. Great hangover food :) I agree with some of the other yelpers that the service leaves a little to be desired sometimes. On this last visit our waitress was slow to bring pop refills, additional salsa, etc. I will still go back though because this Mexican food is just too good to say "no" to.

We were out with friend and looking for somewhere quick and cheap to eat, but we probably would have been better off finding a Taco Bell. The food had no real flavor or color. The side of beans is really just a mashy bean substance that has little to no flavor. In fact everything pretty much looked like mush. Margaritas and the salsa were so horribly watered down. It seemed like everywhere the restaurant could cut costs they did. Our server was okay, but we had to ask her several times to bring us some water. No one working there seemed to take any pride in making the service or the "dining experience" a good one. Within an hour all four of us had stomach aches. Never again, well maybe if I need a colon cleanse....

Noooooo! I can't believe I passed up local restaurants to eat "Mexican" food at this place! I'm 100% sure that Chili's would have been better than this. I mean, if we're talking Tex-Mex and all. Man. Sick. I'm sorry, I guess I shouldn't even try to describe what I ate here because even though I ordered the combo-plate, my enchiladas, tacos and tamales were all one color and texture. OHHHHH, I get it! Mexican Fiesta II puts "chili" ALL OVER their tamales because they are completely tasteless on their own! I guess the sludge otherwise known as chili drifted around on the plate, slowly engulfing my other innocent food while being carried to the table. This happened to my dinner guest's plate, too. Hmmm. Horrific. Just don't go there. My pina colada sucked, too. How do you mess that up?

Okay, so I've only ever eaten things off of the inside left flap of the menu, but I have never been left unsatisfied. Sure, the food might be kind of bland, but if you're someone who isn't a huge fan of spicy food (like me!) and you are in for some cheesy, greasy goodness, this is the place for you! I have been dining here for as long as I can remember (probably 15 years or so), and every one of my friends that I have introduced to MF2 have fallen in love with it as well. You really can't beat the price for the amount of food that you get. Three more things: 1) Hot chips are a must! When they bring you your chips and salsa, send back the cold chips and ask for hot chips (they aren't free, but I promise they are worth it) 2) the margaritas are delicious (and strong!) 3) If you get a meal with rice and beans, order cheese on top of the beans so you use it as dip for your chips. SO GOOD. Unless you're on a diet, check out Mexican Fiesta II.

This is one of my favorite places to go for Mexican fare. The interior isn't fantastic or anything, but the food has always been good in my opinion. I have sometimes had stale chips, but I care more about my meal than the chips usually. I haven't had a meal here I didn't like.

Remember getting excited for enchiladas at the cafeteria in college? Well, if you're looking for a trip down memory lane, head on down to Canton's Mexican Fiesta II ! Overcooked, over-cheesed and greasy runny beans paired with a boxed Mexican rice with a few chopped jalapenos. Just like Flo used to make in the Woldt dining hall at Central Michigan University! I do my best not to take people to task for really enjoying Mexi-merican food, the type smothered in cheese that quickly coagulates and is more chewy than flavorful. And if that's your idea of a tasty meal, this place will definitely satisfy. Mexican Fiesta does have a great layout, does have some really great menudo (tripe soup) and their steaks are good and prepared with a reasonable dedication to authenticity, but the enchiladas, tacos, burritos and "typical" Mexican items are decidedly greasy, smothered in cheese and often times a bit overcooked. The positives - Service has always been great, though I haven't been in a little while because I now only go if someone else really wants to go there. The salsas are pretty tasty and the chips are made fresh daily. Mexican Fiesta also has some great drink specials. That being said, the food this restaurant is known for is seriously lacking. If they got a better cook who was dedicated to fresh ingredients, knew what cilantro and onions were and knew that cheese doesn't need to go on everything, this place could have a lot of potential.

This used to be a great place for Mexican. The Dearborn location is still awesome, but Canton has gone downhill. Both times I've been here recently were really disappointing. First of all, the entire dining area was filthy. There were tons of little bugs, (maybe fruit flies?) around our table. The floor had more food on it then the plates. I did go twice, just in case the first time was an exception, but both times the service was very slow and the dishes, tables, silverware, etc. were very dirty. I would not go to Canton again, but will continue to go to Dearborn.

First of all the wait was terrible, it was filled with waiting customers and took at least 30 minutes to actually get to our table. Then there's the atmosphere, it's was incredibly loud do to talking, the happy birthday maracas every 5 minutes and the music. The service was pretty bad once she gave us our food we only saw our waitress twice as age walked by quickly, putting down the bill the second time. Then we get to the food, the nachos with cheese made all of us have a bad stomach ache and the meat had large chunks of onion and pepper in it. For dinner I had the steak, it was a very very cheap cut and was about 70% fat and was very tough and spicy. The rice was filled with onions and peppers as well as the salad, then the tacos had very bad bland taste and were very bad. The food was all bad and VERY overpriced. I plan on NEVER going back to that restaurant again and I know my family feels the same way.

Mexican Fiesta, you never disappoint. I have been out of MI for 5 years and when I came back, I had a list of places I wanted to eat at. You were at the top. Great food, great service. Flaming cheese is awesome, tacos are awesome, salsa love there are two types, spicy and non. Light tortilla chips , not heavy or thick. And you're coleslaw (who'd have thought) is amazing. Omg yum.

The waitress never took our order so had to ask a waiter that was passing by to take it. Order took forever and came out wrong but I did not complain because did not have the time to wait for the right dish. Food was mediocre. Worst mexican food ever had. Save the bad experience and go somewhere else. Of course won't be going back.

Their cheese tacos are AMAZING! This is why I love this place so much. However, there have been 2 times where I was seated and had to wait 15 minutes to have a waiter/waitress come to the table. They never actually came to the table, I left before that ever happened. From now on, it's carry out only.

Any mexican restaurant with the roman numeral 2 in it is a little suspect to me. The food is just very bland. It basically is just an expensive taco bell

Anyone who has given this place more than 1 star has never had Mexican cuisine anywhere else. I asked some co-workers where a good place to get some GOOD Mexican food close to home was and I was referred here. Clearly, co-worker is missing some taste buds. Sadly for my husband and I, we have all of our taste buds intact and all of us (me, hubby and the taste buds) were severely disappointed. I could have given it 2 stars since it is relatively clean, the service was dencent and the prices were low, but I don't want to fool anyone into thinking this is an acceptable place to dine when you want Mexican. The chips are not made fresh as they are at so many places, the salsa had NO taste and the food was less than mediocre. I will take a chain like On the Border or even Chilis ANY day for better tasting food.

We gave this place a few tried b/c it was the only mexican restaurant in town. We will never go back, the food is really bad sorry to say and the service isn't any better. I really want to support the local restaurants but this place is not good mexican, the cheese doesn't even taste good in the cheese enchiladas. Sorry to be so harsh but now a days when people go out they are treating themselves b/c they can't afford to go out often and this place always makes me feel like I was ripped off. I can defiantly make better food at home and I am just a average cook.

Well.....it is not the Mexican Fiesta in Dearborn Heights, but in a pinch it fills the bill when I get a craving for a Mexican Sandwich. They are normally pretty quick and friendly enough. Not GREAT, but it does the job!

Huge portions, we saw lots of people walking out with left overs. My daughter's nachos were served with lots of big strips of jalapeno peppers, green olives, and a slice of hot pickled carrot. I was surprised to see someone at a neighboring table eating a side of coleslaw. COLESLAW in a Mexican restaurant?? Weird. We walked in around 7pm on a Saturday and the places was absolutely packed. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad. If were lived in the area, we would go again, but were were just staying for a few days.

Came here for lunch and ordered the deep fried cheese tacos w/ rice and coleslaw. Those tacos were amazing! The crispy shell is good topped with sour cream and salsa. It seemed weird to me that there would be coleslaw at a Mexican restaurant. But it was actually pretty tasty. Portions are on the large side; which is good for me cause I don't have to cook dinner tonight! This tasty meal was only $6.49ish

Okay, between 1 and 2 stars. We told our kids it's like going to college and you're in the cafetaria. It felt like a cafetaria! The waitress wore a sweatshirt -- now that's casual. They bring out the guacamole order with the guac in a plastic to-go cup. Really? C'mon, go all out and dump it in a freakin' bowl. Not the cleanest looking but food was okay. I guess if you throw enough cheese over stuff, anything tastes good. Yeah, don't think we'll be back. We'll go to Mexican Village or Rojo.

Great margaritas! Decent service. Lousy salsa, stale chips. Fajitas... just hot meat and veggies, unseasoned and bland. I didn't hate it, but I won't eat there again

Place sucks. I really don't know what the fuss is about w/ some people. I've been here like five times and that's five times too many. I'll cut open my side, pull out my liver, and throw it on the frying pan w/ some onions and eat that before I come here again.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Authentic. Compares to Mexican Village in Detroit, only without the drive. Excellent value, excellent service.

I dont know where to begin, and that isnt a good thing. There is one thing working for this restaurant; they have cheap prices. I am shocked when I drive by and see the parking lot packed full. Maybe its because there is no other mexican restaurant in the area, but my gosh does this place suck. All the meals are drenched in cheese and oil. There is no flavor and its all accomodated by poor service. I've been there twice, and I dont think I can force myself to go again. I'd rather get some Taco Bell.

It breaks my heart to read some of the reviews talking negatively about my favorite restaurant. OK - I'm NOT Mexican, but I have never had a bad meal here. If you cannot eat all of the food - you can ask for just one of something. I get one beef and cheese enchilada and it is more than enough food with the rice, cole slaw or refried beans. The guacamole is to die for. Order HOT chips - so much better than the cold, but there is an extra charge. The waiters/waitresses are always friendly and fast. Please give it another chance if you have rated this restaurant negatively. My only negative comment is they could use new flooring - it is getting a little shabby. I'd rather eat here than some fancy, overpriced upscale restaurant.

Seriously one of the worst Mexican experiences ever. Totally Americanized. Their Dearborn Heights, numero uno restaurant is MUCH better. Or better yet, drive to Mexicantown in Detroit and experience the AUTHENTIC stuff at Xochimilcho's or Mexican Village.

Really good Mexican food, rivals Xochimilcos in Detroit. It's probably only second to Xochis and Little Mexico in Westland.

Food 5/5 Service 1/5 Thus, the 3-star review. Wonderful Mexican food. Restaurant is clean and reasonably priced. They also have lots of options available. The only downfall is the service. I saw my waitress every 20min at best. One of those visits was her asking if I wanted more water, at which point she dissapears for another 10 minutes with no water. If it wasn't for the amazing amazing food, I would be upset. I will certainly give this place another chance, and hopefully update my review.

This is by far our favorite "Americanized" Mex restaurant around. So much so that we still drive more than 30 minutes to get there and risk the possible wait. You can expect a 15-20 minute wait on an average Friday night visit that usually goes by quicker than estimated. They don't have a bar to sit at but you can order drinks from the counter in case you want to sip on a margarita or one of their other delicious alcoholic drinks while you wait. Once you get to your table you'll be greeted with warm tortilla chips and salsa and a friendly server. I have had a number items here but usually stick to chicken & cheese enchiladas with rice & cole slaw sides. Yes, cole slaw is an option and it's my favorite, ever. You really can't go wrong with their enchiladas, they're sooo good. Other faves include a beef chimichanga, beef enchiladas, and tostadas. The portions are very generous and service is generally awesome. LIke Charles W. says, if you're looking for taqueria style food, you're not going to find it here. What they have perfected here is Mexican style food for the local palate.

Who am I kidding? This place is as good as it gets for Mexican food. We visited tonight for the first time in a few months. It is probably the longest we have been away from this establishment since we have been married. It wasn't long before we remembered why this is one of our favorites, if not our all time favorite place. I personally believe that this is the best of all the Mexican Fiestas, even though all of them are good. This place has the best guacamole, best rice, and the best melted cheese. There is no better Mexican place in the state, in my opinion, and it is long past due that I raise this up to the 5 stars that it deserves. The consistency, the price, and the deliciousness that comes from a visit to Ford and Sheldon has earned this place a spot at the top of my favorite restaurants.

Carry out is a bit rough. They consistently forget items in your order. Be careful and look before you leave. After the second time of driving back to the restaurant on different occasions I have learned my lesson. Food is good though!

I love how fast I get seated. The family restaraunt is very affordable. The portions are big!

This place is awful! Their salsa had basil and celery in it. AND! Our food was swimming in grease. I tilted my taco to the side and watched it drain onto the plate. When I asked the server she said "well, we've been making it this way since 1968!". I wish we would have walked out after the first taste of salsa.

Grabbed lunch with a friend. I used to come here regularly when I loved in Michigan. The food was great. I had the chicken and cheese enchiladas. Adequate portions and a great price. Was glad that the place had not changed much.

I have been here before, many times! I remember it being so much better than my last visit. We had a big group, we always do. The sub-mediocre experience started with our server who was more interested in conversation with other patrons than taking down our orders in a timely manner. She was confused and made mistakes on the customized orders. The food is hit or miss, I like their salsa and hot fresh chips, very thin and crispy fresh fried, but the guacamole is basically avocado paste with salt and lime, no onions, tomato, peppers, and cilantro like it should be.. I ordered a wet burrito thinking it would be like a Sauza style with red sauce and a bit of melted cheddar jack cheese. It was overstuffed with broccoli and other veggies, and had a thick layer of what looked like mozzarella cheese you would find on a cheese pizza. A massive portion at that! i was told it came with rice, but didnt, which I was thankful for as i was already full. I think they should introduce black beans in their menu, change the cheese used, and go with smaller entree portions when they come with a side to give people a chance to try more. Most others in my party ordered chimichangas, and enchilladas which also looked quite basic, embrace the veggie fajitas. I would love to help them create a vegetarian friendly menu..

I came with a group of about 12 ladies and we had a great time! They have your basic Americanized Mexican Fare. Almost anything you can find at any other Mexican restaurant in the area... Tacos, enchalads, nachos, burritos, etc... One of the nice things about this restaurants is it can be of interest to meat eaters, vegetarians, and everything in between..... They came to our table with baskets of chips and their mild and hot salsa.... I can say positives for both of the salas... I especially enjoyed mixing a little bit of both in the bowls provided and dipping the hot, salty chips into it... The Margaritas were extremely delicious. They also have a full bar with beers, sodas, teas and various other drinks. I would recommend if you are looking for Mexican food along the Ford Road corridor!

Great Tex-Mex Food too!! Enchiladas and Milanesas are my go to items on the menu; keep the rice and beans...gimme more enchiladas

Whenever I am in the area i come in for the Mexican sandwich. A three layer tortilla With braised beef, rice, beans, and cheesy goodness, belly heaven! Great... Now i am craving one at hundreds of miles away! To be fair, I haven't had anything else here so I highly recommend this dish. Also, I usually do not like guacamole but here it is pretty good. Chips are are always hot and salsa pretty good!!

Food and service were good. Tamales on the other hand were horrible. Also please please please make sure your bill is correct. We had to have two items corrected. One being the gold 1/2 liter margaritas. Menu list the prices as 14 but the bill had 17 down and when I said something to the cashier up front she seemed to instantly know what I was talking about when I complained about the price. Either they updated the price and not the menu first or else they are scamming extra cash out of unsuspecting folks.

Huge portions great tacos enchiladas Chips salsa and rice but there's more than that There's always a crowd but usually fast service swasome food great service
Throw your bias away! This place is really good. =) Pros: Great value, Good drinks, great food, quick service. Cons: More often than not there is a 20 minute wait, maybe not the most authentic food. Alright this is Tex mex and people need to drop their bias for Mexican town food. I laugh at the fact that people around here act like they just hopped over the border with their skillet. This place reminds me of that comedy routine. " what's in the enchilada- tortillas, beef, cheese and vegetables. okay what's in the burrito? tortillas, beef, cheese and vegetables.". This food might not have the flare of Bobby Flat, but it's a darn tasty and abundant platter of happiness. I always go with the build your own combo and it's great. I order the enchilldas and burritos, partially because they taste exactly the same. It comes with your standard affair rice and beans. The spicy salsa is top notch. There are always leftovers because I have the restraint of a puppy dog when they bring out those just out of the fryer tortilla chips. I recommend the Cancun sunrise. It's basically like a jazzed up mimai vice. You really need a sweet drink to counteract the saltiness from the food. Waiting hasn't been too much of an issue for us as we usually can find a table or ledge to perch on with some drinks. Good way to pass time. The food comes so quickly that. I really don't mind waiting a little extra. In closing, Mexican Fiesta is really good and cheap Tex mex. If your are expecting fine dining look elsewhere, but this place has never let me down.

This is probably one of my go-to Mexican restaurants when I need comfort food or when I'm with friends. I also love that there are two entrance/exits to MF, since Ford rd is a nightmare to be on. Every time I come here, I ask for a side of guacamole, so I can munch on some chips and salsa while I look over the menu. The chips, depending on what time you get there, are fresh and hot out of the oven and other times cold and sometime a few stale chips. They also tend to be on the greasy side. My usual choice of meal is cheese enchiladas with a side of beans and rice. The first time I tried this dish, I remember not liking it very much, but boy did it hit the spot, after a tough day at work. They definitely don't skimp on the cheese, in any dishes! It can be salty, but what do you expect. It's great when you have a bite of r&b's. My hubs fav is probably the nachos. It comes overflowing with cheese, peppers, onions, beans and beef. The small is a good size, if you have a party of four and want to split it as an appetizer. My hubs and I ordered a large order for lunch and we still couldn't finish it. I've also tried the taco salad, which is also ginormous and even too big for my hubs (he normally clears his plate) to finish in one sitting. I thought it was on the salty side and I'm not sure if it's because of the green olives, but I probably won't get this dish again. Another time we came, I decided to order chorizo and eggs and was really disappointed at how unflavored and bland the chorizo was. I was thoroughly confused because I figured, hey it's a Mexican restaurant and chorizo is usually only available at MR or markets, wouldn't the chorizo be out of this world? Nope. It was not. I would give this place a 3-3.5, based on the several dishes I've tried. My favorite thing there is definitely the guacamole, so do yourself a favor next time you go, to get a side for your chips or even your dish!

I love a good fiesta. The waitstaff is nice, intelligent about the menu, and swift. I love the food and crave it now. If you love cheese, please come here. The enchiladas are tasty and it's served under a big melty cheese cloud. Free Chips and Salsa while you wait??? YES YES YES!!! I can't wait to come back For the amount of food you get, the prices is excellent. You definitely get your money's worth.

I'm from Los Angeles, when I moved here I was surely looking for some great Mexican. This place was not great, celery in the burrito? Lol! Taco Bell was more authentic Mexican then this. They were very nice people working here tho.

We ordered the Steak El Carbon or something like that, and it was the WORST THING I EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE. The tortillas were powdery, the steak was dry and hard. Terrible. We tried contacting them regarding this issue, but they told us to bring the plate back to them & they will remake it. That makes no sense. The customer service was terrible. We ordered it late at night and who is going to save a carry out for the next day? Never will I ever come here again.

Very good food! I typically get their taco salad. So yummy! Their salsa is pretty much water and ketchup, so that's a bummer. Friendly wait staff, moderate prices, usually fast service. A good staple in Canton.

I love this place! I've been eating there for 20+ years and the funny thing is I almost always get the same thing, the Cheese Enchilada's with Chili on top. Yep, I said chili on top. My favorite! Love the hot, greasy corn chips and the Coleslaw too. The rice and beans are very good also but chips and Coleslaw are my favorite. Wait, forgot about the Flaming Cheese, Cheese Taco's and the salsa, the best! I've tried another newer Mexican restaurant not too far away at the recommendation of a friend and was very disappointed and when I asked for chili on top of my cheese enchiladas, they thought I was crazy and didn't recommend it because it had beef in it. I won't ever go back there and will continue to go to Mexican Fiesta. And yes, the parking lot is always full because they are always busy (must mean something is good) and there is a wait, but it's worth it! Prices are good for food and drinks and there are always leftovers to take home! Great food, great staff, quick service!

Get the fajita trio for two!! It's a ginormous, sizzling platter of tasty shrimp, chicken, steak and veggies. And the accompanying plates (rice, beans, guac, tortilla, lettuce, cheese...) will take up the rest of your table space. The menu says it feeds two, but it easily feeds 4. Even if you don't get the fajita trio, you'll get HUGE portions of good quality food. The lunch specials (weekdays only) are a really good deal. I've tried the enchiladas, botanas, nachos, stews... All very hearty and delicious. This place is almost always busy, so I enjoy the atmosphere here. The service is very friendly and efficient. I just went last night, not realizing it was near closing time. Even then, they were very courteous.

This place is one of my faves in Canton. Although Canton really doesn't have much selection in the way of Mexican food, unless you count Taco Bell...which I don't...lol...but I went here with a friend for the first time years ago and I have never looked back since. The building itself is old and charming, you walk into a lobby with bar tables to wait at. Which is handy because there is almost always a wait, especially if you are going around the American dinner time...6-8pm. The wait is really not that big of a deal, it usually goes quickly and once you are seated, service is prompt and the food is made rather quickly. I have also gotten take out before because sometimes, with two toddlers, it's just easier to eat at home. The restaurant is set up on a couple different levels with a few steps to go down here and there and high ceilings with old wooden beams, it's very unique. Once you're seated, they bring you drinks. I usually order a Diet Coke, which is very good! It's funny, because I went there once when I was pregnant and I probably asked our server a couple times for refills and eventually he just brought me my own little pitcher of Diet Coke. My Hubs laughed because he knew how happy that made me. The waitstaff is good at reading situations, like that or when we have our kids, they bring their food out first, or bring the bill early, knowing the kids have a small attention span during the meal. But I digress...anyways, back to the drinks. I have also ordered a Orange-cicle Ice Cream drink with some kind of liquor in it, and while it was good, it was strong. I suppose some would actually prefer that, but I am not much of a drinker and it wasn't that good to me. But, maybe I'm not the one to listen to on the liquor front, try for yourself and decide. But if you're like me and prefer your beverages a little less 'potent', stick to soda here, because every time I've tried, the drink is heavy on the liquor side. They bring out fresh, homemade corn tortilla chips and salsa as well, with a mild and hot salsa. Hubs loves the hot and I love the mild, and we enjoy that before our meal. The chips are usually hot, and shiny, as they probably just came out of the fryer. Sprinkle some salt over them and yum! They have a large menu, with lots of options for different Mexican dishes. Pretty much the standard, nothing too fancy. The kids menu is good, offering items such as chicken fingers and fries or Mexican fare, like Tacos. I am not the most adventurous when it comes to eating out, if there's something on the menu I know I like, that's what I want. I'm not the person who thinks about trying something new, just for the experience. I always bounce between getting the beef chimichanga with extra cheese on top, rice and cole slaw on the side. Let me tell you a secret, the cheese they use is AMAZING!!!! And I don't really eat cheese, I kind of have a strange aversion to cheese. But the cheese is so good here that I started ordering the chimichanga with the cheese on top. One day I went in and the menu changed, they added that as an option under chimichanga. I asked them about why they added it and apparently it was asked for so much by people they added it on the menu! How's that for liking the cheese! It is delicious. It is either a queso fresco cheese or just mozzarella or a mixture, but it is very good. NOT a nacho sauce like some Mexican restaurants use. I always get the cole slaw as a side, because it's very good, creamy and a nice combo to add to my meal. I also always get rice, which is delicious. I'm not a huge fan of the refried beans, sometimes they end up a bit watered down. I've also gotten the beef and cheese burritos, which are also smothered in that delicious cheese! Sometimes it's just too beefy for me. Which is why I go with the chimichanga. I also tried the fajitas once, but I felt like I was missing something with no cheese. Haha. Hubs pretty much always gets the same thing as well, the combo...he loves the tostada! Sometimes he even gets the giant tostada, because he enjoys it so much! The portions are average- large and the prices are good for the amount of food you are getting. They also have a lot of options for vegetarians, with bean and cheese entrees. They bring the check and you usually go to the front and pay as you leave, sort of like Big Boy. Sometimes it depends on your server, because they've taken the bill for us before as well. Like I said, it's one of my favorites! Some people commented that is was really greasy, I'm not sure I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant that didn't have greasy food, I mean come on people, we're talking about cheese and beef, two things that are known for being greasy. If you don't want greasy, don't go to a Mexican restaurant, or order a salad for cryin' out loud! :-)

I asked our server three times to bring me sour cream. Once as I ordered, again when he brought the food out, and a final time when my food was cold as I was waiting and he had forgotten again. The food wasn't very good. Way too much cheese and oil everywhere. Not authentic in any way. Just alright.

This is the only Mexican Restaurant that I like. I get the bean and cheese enchiladas every time. They're always good. In all, this place is the best

Fresh warm chips and salsa is delicious! Prices are great. Services is speedy and friendly.
Rather than eat at Ikea, we decided to search for a place and stumbled upon this. The food was ok. The service was very good. The buiiding was ok. I had a combination plate. The taco was decent, the other stuff was decent. Nothing was really tremendous and wonderful. It was edible, but not tremendous in my opinion. I ordered the Queso dip and it was pretty lousy, just Velveta type cheese with some Jalapenos in it. I would expect more from a Mexican place. The chips were really good and the salsa was pretty good too. Their Mexican rice was really good, better than most places. The portions were gigantic. Our server was really efficient and pleasant. I probably wouldn't go back to this restaurant....but I am a bit of a food snob, especially when it comes to Mexican. I guess if you want good service, with large portions of average food, this is the place for you.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Ever. Don't go here.... Don't eat the delicious chimmy chongas. Don't drink the raspberry margaritas. Do not have a great time.

We were there with a group of 9 people and the service was excellent. A typical Mexican menu with some normal American items too--like steak. They start you with some warm taco chips and salsa which were very enjoyable. I ordered 3 beef tacos and they were very good. Their hot sauce is just right. My wife had the shrimp stir fry and loved it No one had any complaints about the food. The wines were good and reasonably priced. Will go back.

By far the best, authentic Mexican food! They start you off with fresh, hot chips and hot salsa and mild salsa. That alone keeps me coming back all the time! I also order pico, queso and guacamole to start. Their tacos are my favorite. Always delicious. Also sometimes order the fajitas which are sooo good too! I can never choose what kind of meat I want because they are all yummy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Margaritas & Coronaritas are awesome. Service is ALWAYS top-notch and they are the friendliest people!!

Service is good, food is good. Restaurant needs a little cleaning though. Beautiful vaulted ceilings and decorations that haven't been dusted in a long time. I don't like looking at cobwebs when I'm eating no matter how far from me they may be

Mexican Fiesta is and will forever be "the" spot. Our family has been going there for years. It's sufficiently priced, the food is always killer, and the margaritas will put hair on your chest. Your typical experience here will start off with hot chips and a choice of two fresh salsas: mild and hot. For most people, you'll eat more chips and salsa than you can handle and by the time your food shows up, you'll have to box it up. They'll keep the chips coming as long as you ask and I must say...they're UH-MAY-ZING! To be fair, I've never ordered anything other than chicken flautas. Fiesta is just one of those places that when you've been there once, you'll never want to order anything different off the menu. Your first choice will always be the best choice. If you are going to order the flautas, the shells are crisp and the chicken is always seasoned perfectly. You will never hear me say anything bad about Fiesta. This place is a great spot for couples, parties of 4, or even large groups. Oh...and order the margarita. Top shelf.

It's not authentic Mexican food. The tacos were very greasy. The salsa was bland, I had to add salt to give it flavor. My food was very bland. The restaurant appear to be clean. The only thing I enjoyed was my strawberry margarita. It's wasn't awful but I'll never go back.

I read the reviews on yelp and thought I should give this place a chance. Bad idea! The nachos are oily, the Salsaa is the worst I have ever tasted and the chicken fajita I ordered was horrible too. The only reason I am given it 2 stars is because the drink was decent.

I don't recommend this place because I have gotten food poisoning three different times. The food may taste good but you may suffer for it later in the bathroom. If you are constipated, go there it will help clean you out!

Overall the food was not very impressive. Not much flavor and kinda bland. The waitress was not very personable and she seemed more interested in getting out the door than letting us eat. She even placed the bill on our table way before we were done eating!

I'm probably at a 2.5 here, but I'll bump them up to three because I'm feeling nice. Do you ever have one of those experiences where you're picturing something in your mind and when it finally happens in real life it's nothing like you thought it was going to be? That was my experience with Mexican Fiesta's Chicken Fajitas. What I pictured in my mind: Grilled chicken on a sizzling skillet with onions and green peppers that leaves a nice trail of delicious odiferousness and makes all of the other patrons jealous. What I got: Grilled chicken on a normal old plate, mixed with onion, green pepper, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Butting up against refried beans, rice, and guac. In all honesty, I didn't read the description. Maybe it says that it comes with tomatoes and mushrooms. (Another reason I'm giving them 3 stars - assumption of risk.) However, never in my life have I been served fajitas in this manner. Maybe this is the Mexican way and I'm used to the American way. Well, God Bless the USA then. The tomatoes are cooked and mushy. I don't particularly care for canned mushrooms. I had to basically pick through everything to get the "good" stuff. The service was good. All in all, I think their food is pretty good from what I hear. Just stay away from the fajitas unless you want to be severely disappointed. Aesthetically, I think the place could use some TLC from an interior decorator.

Food was very, very bland, there was absolutely no flavor. Floor was disgusting, looked as though they hadn't vacuumed in days. I have been there a few times and the service has been awful every time, which I think it is due to the fact that the servers have too big of sections that they cannot handle. Takes forever to get a drink order in and even longer to put in your food order. Food order has been wrong 3 out of the 4 times I've gone and we never ordered anything abnormal. I've given it enough chances, definitely not going back again, Los Tres Amigos is the way to go.

Food was just ok, lacking flavor. Customer service was terrible. Stomach pains throughout the night will be enough to keep me from coming back. I will drive twice as far and go to Los Amigos in Westland next time, this place isn't worth going back to.

Huge portions. Always busy. Have been in here with family twice and each time I had a LOT of leftovers. The hot salsa is to die for and everything was amazing.

We enjoyed the fajita trio for two. Everything was flavorful and fresh. We also enjoyed the chips and salsa but was told that refills were $2.00 extra. Service was poor but we tried to overlook the indifferent young waitress.

Very surprised with this place, good food and very good service. Restaurant was nice and clean and pretty busy. We shared a nacho appetizer which was a perfect size for two people, I also ordered steak fajitas and my wife got beef burrito. We only got through maybe a 1/3 of each and took the rest home.

I came here for the first time today and I was disappointed. It's obvious the building was something else before. However, they didn't really do a good job making the place feel like a mexican restaurant. I felt like it was very bare inside. The chips and salsa were good, but every Mexican restaurant should have good chips and salsa. I ordered the chicken fajitas. They came on a normal plate, not the usual cast iron still-sizzling presentation you expect when you order fajitas. The plate also had the beans, rice and guac on it, with only the lettuce and cheese on the separate plate. Really odd in my opinion. The only redeeming quality was that the margaritas were good, and they sell them by the liter. I won't be returning. There are many other Mexican restaurants within a short drive from here that are much better.

I'm a lifelong Canton resident and for the best Tex-Mex dishes, you cant beat Mexican Fiesta. It may not be as good as in Mexican Town. But if you want great Mexican without the drive, come here. If your really hungry try the Mexican Sandwich with cheese. Totally worth it! Giving this place just 3 stars is unfair, 3.5 maybe but not just 3.

This place gives the local residents a good authentic Mexican Cuisine at a great value. Five Stars!!

My husband and I having moved to Ann Arbor from Southern California, have been looking for good Mexican food. We decided to try Mexican Fiesta in Canton based on a recommendation. As Latinos, we do have high expectations for Mexican food. We tend to find that the Mexican rice and refried beans and chips/salsa are an indicator of how the rest of the food offering will be. My husband ordered the cheese enchilada combination plate and I ordered the combo plate. We went this way, because we could sample many of the basic items you might have at a Mexican restaurant. Taco, enchilada, tostada and tamale. Unfortunately the salsa was terrible it was very, very watery. It's not often that there are chips and salsa left from the first serving when we eat at a Mexican restaurant. In this case we left almost the entire basket of chips uneaten. Next came my margarita. I ordered a Top Shelf margarita which was to have a higher quality tequila, grand marnier, orange juice (little odd) and mix. Again very disappointed when it came. It was so watery as if it was all ice, I sent it back. Shortly after, the food arrived. Timing was normal, not to long. Unfortunately the food was a let down. The Mexican rice seemed to be a "boiled rice", absolutely not authentic. The refried beans had no flavor. We assumed they may have been from a can, not homemade. If you like cheese enchiladas, these enchiladas were strange in that they were smothered with a pizza type cheese rather than a cheddar. You could barely taste the tortilla or sauce because it was all "cheese'. The taco meat was not flavorful, but rather seemed quite greasy as if the meat had been sitting for a long time soaking up grease. If you are not someone who has had the opportunity to enjoy authentic Mexican food, Mexican Fiesta may be a good choice for you. The service and setting in the restaurant was very good, however the food was just not up to our "authentic" standards.

We may have been unlucky but our food was bland , overcooked and took 40 minutes to arrive from the time of ordering. The restaurant seemed fairly unclean. The help was not helpful. Really can't understand why anyone would eat here other than a scarcity of good places to eat in Canton perhaps

The chip and dip were good and came out promptly but beyond that the experience was very "Meh." Ordered the queso sauce to try and it out and it just really wasn't that good as it was much to thick to really dip chips in and didn't have much spice to it. Likewise, the nachos came out and where the "piled on a plate" variety but there was also raw onion and green olives on them. I can kind of understand the onion even though I don't agree with it, but seriously, olives?! The main dish itself was only OK and pretty bland. I ordered a combination plate with two chicken and cheese enchiladas and a beef taco and the enchiladas were swimming in cheese with a small puddle of grease accruing next to them while the taco was pretty bland. The rice was a little bit on the dry side and the beans where fairly generic. As whole the meal was just kind of bland and nothing I would return a second time for.

By far the BEST Mexican food I've had around here & I've lived in area my whole life. Delicious, warm chips are served with tasty salsa. The fajitas are the bomb! Get extra (fresh!) tortillas if needed for only .50! Great chimis, and so many types (& sizes! ) of margaritas it's hard to choose. Love it!

In terms of Mexican restaurants, I find this place to be akin to the Chinese restaurants that cater to more American tastes. In the same way, Mexican Fiesta II is probably more closer in quality and service to Chi-Chi's than Mexicantown, but it's still mighty tasty. My wife and I came here for a weekday lunch on one of my rare mornings off and we were pleasantly surprised at the lunch specials... dollar beers! Of course it's just generic keg cerveza, (think corona light at best), but still, a dollar for a cerveza to go with a Mexican lunch... extra star for that. I've been to both this and the Dearborn location and they're pretty much the same service wise. Our server on this day was a young guy, quiet but knowledgable enough and polite. No complaints. The food was above average Mexican... of course the chips and salsa are stanadard and better than Chilis or some other place. And my burrito/taco combo plate hit the spot. The burritos are covered in melted cheese and it just oozes onto the fork... i would literally come every week if we didn't have to wait at peak times. The chopped chicken filling was solid, but not very spicy. My wife's flautas came out crisp and delicious, and the guacamole on the top was good and gooey. Price for the dishes were around 10 bucks for both of us.. cheap beer made it worth our while also. I think the drawback is the sheer popularity of this place. Even lunch was almost full by the time we left at noon. They obviously do good business in a dearth of good Mexican sit down food in the Canton/Dearborn areas... don't try to come here at peak dinner time (6-8PM) as you'll be waiting a good half hour, even on weekdays. Would I come again? Of course I would. But will you find more authentic, flavorful tacos, burritos and fajitas somewhere else? Of course you will. But Mexican Fiesta will still be in business for a long time.

Best Mexican food and the service is very fast. Did I say the food is the best. Lol try there nachos. They are so cheap and when it comes out to u it's loaded everywhere with ground meat that is cooked perfectly and seasoned a tad and well as cheese cheese and more cheese. The nachos alone would feed me for days. Lol

Its jsut your regular run of the mill mexican joint. Nothing out of the ordinary, but their coleslaw seems to be pretty good and a crowd pleaser.

Great chips and salsa - Which are complimentary! Food is always good! Just not very consistent! This afternoon I had the Fiesta Salad, and have had it several times before. Today they forgot the bacon, ham and avocado! After mentioning it, they made it right! But, they should have gotten it right without me! Check the menu... Then check your food!

The portions were small (compared to Mexican Fiesta Dearborn Heights and Hartland), the food lacked flavor and did not taste like the food at D. Heights and Hartland, the salsa had way too much celery seed and salt in it, and the service was awful... I'll stick to Mexican Fiesta in Dearborn Heights or Hartland!

Good food and friendly service. If you like Mexican/American food this place is what you are looking for. The servings are more than generous, I've never been able to clean my plate, and the chips/salsa are out of this world. In fact we stop by once in a while just to get a big bag of their chips and containers of salsa, it's really that good.

We've been to the Mexican Fiesta II several times and have always been pleased with our menu selections. We had Chicken Tacos and Steal Milanesa, both with re-fried beans and rice and they were both excellent. The Chips and Salsa were very good and replenished through out the meal. The service was great. 4 stars and I'll be back...
Having tasted my share of authentic mexican food - it can at times be hard to rate Americanized restaurants. Having ate at Fiesta on more than one occasion - I see positive and negatives that make this a middle of the road eatery. Positves: Starters - the chips and salsa & cole slaw are a nice beginning. Main dishes - I say most are good. I prefer the fajitas, tacos, chimi, etc. I have heard enchilada's as well. From experience the dishes are consistent. Negatives: I worry sometimes food is pre-made too far ahead as dishes fly out of the kitchen. Which is not great sign. But, the food still tastes at a level of reliabilty. Rice and beans leave a little to be desired and most likely are not much beyond store bought. I didn't care for the taco salad. As the shell and contents were lackluster when I ate it. I've had much better. Sometimes the food can lack the flavor I prefer and that is most likely attributed to many who might not like the additional kick [i.e. it is americanized]. I was really disappointed to find extra charges for seconds on chip baskets. Especially at two dollars. Another cheap item used to pad revenue from a restaurant. Not a fan with that. Overall two people can eat for under $30 and you have to acknowledge that as good considering the amount of food you get and the quality being good. There is more authentic places out there though.

Very solid Mexican food - not really "authentic" but very decent. The chips and hot sauce are outstanding. All other food we've had has been good. Cheese enchiladas, bean and beef tostadas, chicken tacos - all good. The servings are very big and you definitely won't walk away hungry. We usually pick up carry out - I haven't eaten in the restaurant in years, but it is almost always busy after work.

Ate here last Saturday and was hoping for more... I've read the last few reviews and was really hoping they'd turn it around. Like some of the reviews stated, this place used to be the top mexican joint around here. Well, no more... Our first batch of chips were cold and kind of stale. What!?!??!? I want hot chips, now!! The salsa was typical MF, not chunky, mostly runny... LOL I order the chunky beef burritos with rice, beans and coleslaw. The coleslaw, for some reason is always good here. It's nothing really special, most authentic Mexican restaurants don't even serve Coleslaw, but it is a nice mix. LOL My burritos we luke warm and not very tasty, very watery however. The spanish rice had no taste, so I used the salsa to spice it up a bit. My wife's wasn't any better unfortunately. Needless to say, we won't be going back anytime soon. :(

Ok.. So the food here is a bit mediocre and the service is a bit on the hurried and uncaring side but usually you can fill up your belly with some average Mexicsn food! There are some items that I've had there that are above average, for example ; the beef and cheese enchilada's with French fries instead of he beans and rice! Their coleslaw is magnifico!!! I don't know why??? But that coleslaw is really great.. They do bring warm taco chips and salsa to your table upon sitting down and they have what they call "home made" hot and mild sauces! It's nice to have those chips to munch on...while you're chatting with your dinner pals! Give it a try but don't expect authentic Mexican food, is all! I must give KUDOS to the manager though for sure!!! We locked our keys in the car . My hubby went in and asked for help and the manager came out equipped with a wire hanger! He proceeded to bend it and slip it through the slightly cracked window of the car....then he pulled up on the lock and VOILA'! The car door opened and we got to go home !! I'll go back and keep going back ... Not just because of the manager helping us, but because the food is predictable and way better than Taco Bell!!!

MF2 has staved off elimination! I stopped in for lunch with a girlfriend, and it was delicious. My MF2 came back from an extremely long nap in bland land! Now, I'm not going to go all crazy and rate them a 4. They still need to prove themselves again to me, and, more importantly, to Ken (who's last memory was so very not good).

Best Mexican food in Metro Detroit. Mexicantown in Detroit MIGHT be the only option that I'd prefer, but for inexpensive, tasty tacos, burritos and enchiladas, It's the best around. My favorites are the cheese and onion enchiladas, and the beef tacos. Their guacamole is fantastic as well. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Tasty food, margaritas are bad though which is quite sad. Not authentic Mexican by any means, but good for an American version of it. Pork burritos are delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Been there many times.

My boyfriend and I typically have the same opinion regarding the restaurants we try, but when it comes to Mexican Fiesta we can never agree! The food at Mexican Fiesta should not even be placed in the category of Mexican. I ordered a taco salad with shredded chicken. The salad came with green olives, and other strange toppings which I would never eat on a salad. The chips and salsa were horrendous as well. Nothing on this menu was remotely appetizing. The service was right on par with the food. My boyfriend will be making his next trip to Mexican Fiesta II alone.

Mexican Fiesta is Usually a hit or miss. It's most likely a miss though. You either like the food you ordered or you didn't and the service was good or it wasn't . Some food is Mediocre where some can be pretty good. The Cheese Enchiladas are your best bet for a Pretty good entree. I am a fan of the Cheese Enchiladas mainly for the amount of Cheese. They put a lot of Cheese and they make it the main flavor in the meal. Probably not the healthiest but it's sure good. They are definitely not authentic though. I have also had the Vegetable Quesadilla and the Chicken Quesadillas . Never again. I like the Quesadillas from Taco bell better. The Chicken Tacos used to be good I thought. The Chicken now is very bland. They need to add some kind of flavor. Why don't they add seasoning? The Rice is another thing I feel like tasted better a couple years ago. Lately it has tasted like nothing really. Almost like you are eating it but taste nothing. The coleslaw on the other hand is my favorite. Their Cole slaw dressing is just perfect and the portions of the Cole slaw is good for the price. The Hot Chips and Salsa are great. Those Chips I could eat all the time if I had to. The Salsa is just normal Mild or Hot Salsa with nothing special about it. I Usually eat the Mild though. Like I was saying the food is far from authentic. If you really are looking for real authentic Mexican food you should probably go to a Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Detroit. The service for sure depends on who is your Waiter or Waitress. We have had wonderful service and we have had horrible service. The Prices on some things can be a bit steep but on others it can be okay. Mexican Fiesta is far from a five star or even four star Mexican Restaurant but choosing from either Los Tres Amigos on Canton Center Rd or Mexican Fiesta I would choose this. I am giving it Two stars because I feel it's a little bit less than an okay or average Mexican Restaurant. But I don't think everything about it is awful.

Never a disappointment True, service is a bit hurried and uncaring. The food is average, not the worst or the best. Call it reliable However, if you are looking for a place to hang out for an hour before a show or after work this is it

We go the fiesta mexican salad and chicken fajitas. The salad was very colorful (chicken, ham, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato, olives, green pepper...) and the chicken fajitas were pretty good. Like what Darin E. said, they add mushrooms and tomatoes to the fajitas too. I personally like tomatoes so I though they were good. The meal came to $24 with tip for the 2 of us. There were leftovers enough for a snack and a lunch. Service is really good, the waiter was very helpful. I haven't tried their burritos though, next time I'll try that. Overall, not bad.

I am standing up for my favorite mexican restaurant in the area. Top complaints people have are that the fajitas are not on a sizzling plate when you order them. Really? They are made with real chicken! Fresh chicken, real steak! Not frozen with perfect grill marks thrown on a nice platter that they were not cooked on and served with month old veggies like chilies but they are fresh! Mouthwatering fajitas! Another review I saw was about the cheese. Yeah they don't have cheddar. It's kinda weird but when they have the best coleslaw and guac around you can deal with a lil muenster cheese. Also yeah this restaurant does not have a mexican "feel" to their atmosphere. They revamp the place every so often but do you really need to have neon colors and sombreros everywhere to enjoy your taco? Their meals are always fresh, as a vegetarian I especially love the fresh veggies and all the food options! The place is also very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. You will never leave hungry. And fresh. Did I mention everything is fresh?

I grew up with Mexican Fiesta in Dearborn Heights. My kids have grown up with Mexican Fiesta II in Canton. Everyone LOVES the beef and cheese enchiladas. The place packs em in regulary, so if you plan to dine in, be prepared for a short wait during peak hours. They turn the orders over pretty quickly, so the waits don't typically get too bad. Chips and salsa are legendary, no real explanation for it, they're just really good. Strawberry Margaritas are very good. Staff is always nice, fast, attentive....even during those peak hours, I have not had many bad waits for refill, extra chips, salsa or bill. Might not be as authentic as some Mexican restaurants but it is every bit as good and all at a decent price.

Pretty authentic Mexican. Beef and cheese enchiladas are excellent. The 2 enchiladas dinner was huge and more than enough to eat. Drink prices are very reasonable for the Detroit area. I would return again when in the area.

When we got here, my cousins had already divided one bowl for the "bland" salsa and the other for the spicy one. (I apparently like bland salsa.) This is where I tried my first flautas. The description sounded pretty awesome, so my cousin and I both ordered them. Both of us avoid cheese like it's the plague (unless it's mozzarella), so we asked them not to add it on the top. Sadly, when our plates came, both of them had cheese on em'. :[ The last time I willingly ate cheese, I was 14 and a family friend had come over to cook us dinner while my parents were gone in Asia. (She made macaroni and cheese, and there is probably no other dish out there that I would avoid more than this, other than perhaps a bacon cheeseburger, because I can't eat bacon.) But I figured I could just pick it off since it wasn't melted on. My cousin hates cheese with a hell of a lot more passion than I do, so she sent hers back. (So I followed suit. Might as well, right?) We were saying how they'd completely redeem themselves if they added more guacamole on top in place of the non-cheese, and BAM! :O It's like they read our minds! :D They were really apologetic and made sure we were happy with the new plates they brought out, so yep, I like this place. :] Portions are pretty big. :D Another plus!

Stopped on a weeknight and the lot was pretty full but got seated right away. My dining partner and I are "booth people" but accepted a table since the booths were visibly all full. Ok...the tables are tight and you will hear the conversation of the party next to yours if they are seated at the next table. Waitress was nice and attentive, considering that she had quite a few tables to take care of. Had to wait for chips and salsa and the salsa is "poured" from one of those Denny's type pancake syrup pour containers. Weird. The chunkier salsa got stuck in the spout of the pourer so we had to take off the top. Ordered trio fajitas for two and for $26 bucks it was sized decently. Had to ask for more tortillas (we only got 4) and had enough veggies to take one home. Wasn't happy with the shrimp, it was large and there were about 9 good sized shrimp but the TAIL WAS ON! Gross. Take an extra second please and remove the shell, c'mon! The fajitas were very salty and had mushrooms. Another weird, have had fajitas all over and haven't had salty mushrooms in there before. Sides (cheese, lettuce) were smallish with a huge honkin' container of sour cream. Nice portion of beans, rice and guacamole. Strange that as we were ordering she asked if we wanted beans and rice. Wonder what would have happened if we hadn't said yes? I thought beans and rice were pretty standard accompaniments to entrees. Over all, the atmosphere was a little stuffy but the food was a couple of steps above the casual Mexican restaurant. I don't know if I would seek this place out specifically again but if I am in the area, I will probably go again.

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. What happened? The interior is in serious need of updating. The food is mediocre and doesn't seem all that fresh. The chips served with the salsa are stale. Wish the management and owners would step it up a notch a pay attention to these issues.

Why I love this place? Because you can get lunch for less than $4 with tax! Service is hit or miss, depending on how busy it is and how many staff members are working. I think they are all part of the owners family, their teenage kids work there during the summer. I would recommend soft chicken taco with rice and coleslaw. Pour some hot salsa on the rice and you are all set. If you can finish 3 taco's, order the normal meal, but take it from me - after the chips, one taco will do you good with the sides, but you can always order two and take the leftovers home. Their orders come with two side dishes (not all orders comes with two sides dishes). For example, if you ordered the soft shell taco, it comes with 3 tacos and two sides of your choice, you can ask for one taco and still get the two sides. I would recommend their coleslaw (ask for it on a separate dish).

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(5)Jen S.
great food, always a long wait and very loud

Bah.
(2)Heather S.
(3)Mark U.
(3)KAREN B.
(3)Amy G.
(4)Dani A.
(1)Riki L.
(1)Heide T.
(4)Dottie P.
This is one of my favorite places to go for Mexican fare. The interior isn't fantastic or anything, but the food has always been good in my opinion. I have sometimes had stale chips, but I care more about my meal than the chips usually. I haven't had a meal here I didn't like.
(4)Daniel E.
(2)Brenda M.
(2)Sydney O.
(1)Sandy G.
Omg yum.
(5)Fernanda O.
(1)Shannon B.
Their cheese tacos are AMAZING! This is why I love this place so much. However, there have been 2 times where I was seated and had to wait 15 minutes to have a waiter/waitress come to the table. They never actually came to the table, I left before that ever happened. From now on, it's carry out only.
(3)jason s.
Any mexican restaurant with the roman numeral 2 in it is a little suspect to me. The food is just very bland. It basically is just an expensive taco bell
(2)Christine R.
(1)Holly P.
(1)Andria B.
I love this place! The cheese enchiladas are fantastic and I love the chips and salsa too! The staff are fast and friendly and even when they are busy the wait is never too long : )
(5)Bryan B.
Great food and fast service on a busy night. The salsa is great and the chips come to your table nice and hot. I enjoyed the Combo - lost of food on that plate!
(4)D. L.
Well.....it is not the Mexican Fiesta in Dearborn Heights, but in a pinch it fills the bill when I get a craving for a Mexican Sandwich. They are normally pretty quick and friendly enough. Not GREAT, but it does the job!
(3)Christine V.
(4)Theresa U.
(4)Jen W.
Some of the best Mexican food around! Service is always fast, too.
(5)Miike G.
Run down inside but for a $5 lunch what do you really expect! The best beef enchiladas in Michigan. Go on Wednesday for lunch.
(5)David G.
Decent food. Enjoy the chicken mole.
(3)Lisa O.
(2)Mike M.
Great margaritas! Decent service. Lousy salsa, stale chips. Fajitas... just hot meat and veggies, unseasoned and bland. I didn't hate it, but I won't eat there again
(2)Andrew S.
Place sucks. I really don't know what the fuss is about w/ some people. I've been here like five times and that's five times too many. I'll cut open my side, pull out my liver, and throw it on the frying pan w/ some onions and eat that before I come here again.
(2)j n.
Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Authentic. Compares to Mexican Village in Detroit, only without the drive. Excellent value, excellent service.
(5)Nadi T.
(1)Linda P.
(5)Christine O.
(1)Mike E.
Really good Mexican food, rivals Xochimilcos in Detroit. It's probably only second to Xochis and Little Mexico in Westland.
(4)Matt S.
(3)Jill H.
(4)Jeff W.
(5)Rory J.
Carry out is a bit rough. They consistently forget items in your order. Be careful and look before you leave. After the second time of driving back to the restaurant on different occasions I have learned my lesson. Food is good though!
(3)Beth T.
I love how fast I get seated. The family restaraunt is very affordable. The portions are big!
(4)Alexandria C.
This place is awful! Their salsa had basil and celery in it. AND! Our food was swimming in grease. I tilted my taco to the side and watched it drain onto the plate. When I asked the server she said "well, we've been making it this way since 1968!". I wish we would have walked out after the first taste of salsa.
(1)Karla K.
Grabbed lunch with a friend. I used to come here regularly when I loved in Michigan. The food was great. I had the chicken and cheese enchiladas. Adequate portions and a great price. Was glad that the place had not changed much.
(4)Vishal B.
(2)Margaret V.
(4)Miguel G.
Great Tex-Mex Food too!! Enchiladas and Milanesas are my go to items on the menu; keep the rice and beans...gimme more enchiladas
(5)Lindsey G.
(4)Kyrie R.
(2)Joe J.
Huge portions great tacos enchiladas Chips salsa and rice but there's more than that There's always a crowd but usually fast service swasome food great service
(5)Kris A.
My cousin invited me out and I chose this place because I hadn't been there yet. The conversation with my Cuz was the high point of the meal. The parking lot is perpetually full, so it was difficult to find a good spot (it's a shared, smallish lot). The inside is laid out oddly, but it's clean and has a pleasant vibe. Décor is reminiscent of what us norteamericano's expect a Mexican eatery should look like (but usually doesn't). Service was very good; polite, happy, and attentive, but not overly so. That's it for anything nice I can say. I guess I should stop here (according to my mom's old saying anyway). I'll Yelp on however, in true Yelp fashion. The tortilla chips brought as an appetizer were bland and cold. Clearly not fresh, and utterly forgettable. The salsa's (both hot and mild) may well have been made somewhere EAST of New York City (think about it...). The guacamole looked good, but was utterly flavorless. I ordered the "Cheesy Enchiladas"; 2 chicken, 1 beef. The chicken was basically canned shredded chicken with very little flavor. The beef was a VERY poor quality of ground meat (beef?) and was equally lacking in flavor. I also found a random piece of onion (a large slice) in one, and a single black olive in another. Neither were repeated. ??? There was a bare minimum of any sauce on the enchiladas (neither rojas nor verdes), but they WERE smothered in a bland mix of shredded, melted cheese. The accompanying rice was "blah" , but the refried beans were pretty decent and helped the rice out some. This is one of the few restaurants outside of a Coney Island or diner where I've had to go up and pay at the counter. The price wasn't awful, or I might have been infuriated instead of merely annoyed. I won't be back. I've exhausted all of the Mexican restaurant offerings in Canton, and found them utterly disappointing.

(1)Rael M.
Very good food! I typically get their taco salad. So yummy! Their salsa is pretty much water and ketchup, so that's a bummer. Friendly wait staff, moderate prices, usually fast service. A good staple in Canton.
(4)Joseph G.
The food and service was excellent . Try their meat tacos. Absolutely delicious. Good value for your money!!

(5)Kristen C.
I asked our server three times to bring me sour cream. Once as I ordered, again when he brought the food out, and a final time when my food was cold as I was waiting and he had forgotten again. The food wasn't very good. Way too much cheese and oil everywhere. Not authentic in any way. Just alright.
(2)Sagar P.
This is the only Mexican Restaurant that I like. I get the bean and cheese enchiladas every time. They're always good. In all, this place is the best
(5)M C.
Fresh warm chips and salsa is delicious! Prices are great. Services is speedy and friendly.

This has to be the grossest food I have ever eaten. I got sick later that night and so did my fiancé. I guess you can call that food poisoning. Everything was greasy and had no flavor. Our group ordered nachos, tacos, and a burrito. Nothing stood out except for the fact that we were throwing up in the middle of the night. You couldn't pay me to go back there. You have insulted Mexico with this prison food. Yuck....
(1)William S.
(3)Erika R.
My favorite Mexican restaurant. Ever. Don't go here.... Don't eat the delicious chimmy chongas. Don't drink the raspberry margaritas. Do not have a great time.
(5)Ernie M.
(3)Lisa R.
(5)Jennifer T.
Service is good, food is good. Restaurant needs a little cleaning though. Beautiful vaulted ceilings and decorations that haven't been dusted in a long time. I don't like looking at cobwebs when I'm eating no matter how far from me they may be
(3)Brett C.
Top shelf.
(5)Ronni G.
It's not authentic Mexican food. The tacos were very greasy. The salsa was bland, I had to add salt to give it flavor. My food was very bland. The restaurant appear to be clean. The only thing I enjoyed was my strawberry margarita. It's wasn't awful but I'll never go back.
(2)Nikita D.
I read the reviews on yelp and thought I should give this place a chance. Bad idea! The nachos are oily, the Salsaa is the worst I have ever tasted and the chicken fajita I ordered was horrible too. The only reason I am given it 2 stars is because the drink was decent.
(2)Michelle T.
I don't recommend this place because I have gotten food poisoning three different times. The food may taste good but you may suffer for it later in the bathroom. If you are constipated, go there it will help clean you out!
(1)J.d. O.
Overall the food was not very impressive. Not much flavor and kinda bland. The waitress was not very personable and she seemed more interested in getting out the door than letting us eat. She even placed the bill on our table way before we were done eating!
(2)Joe V.
(3)Leah P.
(1)J. H.
Food was just ok, lacking flavor. Customer service was terrible. Stomach pains throughout the night will be enough to keep me from coming back. I will drive twice as far and go to Los Amigos in Westland next time, this place isn't worth going back to.
(1)Sarah T.
Huge portions. Always busy. Have been in here with family twice and each time I had a LOT of leftovers. The hot salsa is to die for and everything was amazing.
(4)Dell D.
We enjoyed the fajita trio for two. Everything was flavorful and fresh. We also enjoyed the chips and salsa but was told that refills were $2.00 extra. Service was poor but we tried to overlook the indifferent young waitress.
(3)Emma C.
(3)Alex T.
(2)John B.
(4)Anthony B.
This place gives the local residents a good authentic Mexican Cuisine at a great value. Five Stars!!
(5)Lisa G.
(2)Michael S.
We may have been unlucky but our food was bland , overcooked and took 40 minutes to arrive from the time of ordering. The restaurant seemed fairly unclean. The help was not helpful. Really can't understand why anyone would eat here other than a scarcity of good places to eat in Canton perhaps
(1)Robert Z.
(2)Marsha B.
Love it!
(5)Cantonite P.
(4)Christine M.
Lol
(5)k a.
Its jsut your regular run of the mill mexican joint. Nothing out of the ordinary, but their coleslaw seems to be pretty good and a crowd pleaser.
(3)Don D.
(3)Lauren P.
(1)Vince S.
(4)Bruce F.
(4)Kelley W.
I've been going to Mexican Fiesta for as long as I can remember. I love the food.. And as a recent vegetarian I always order the bean and cheese enchiladas and leave satisfied. Recently, I took my fiancé there to show off my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant, and was unpleasantly surprised by the service and wait staff. We go on a weekly basis because of the impeccable food but the past half dozen times we've been, we've had inattentive servers, servers who are unable to remember our order, or who aren't familiar with items on the menu. I really hope this changes because we are big on service and would hate to stop frequently visiting because of bad service.
(3)Damon L.
(3)Martha V.
(3)Dave K.
(2)Suzanne S.

Good margaritas, fast, friendly service, food was mild and portions small.
