Great portions, friendly wait staff, nice location...But, again, put "some of your money BACK into your place and UPDATE it! When you first walk in, you want to "turn back around...Its dated, which makes it "fell dirty". Service is fast, and it has its good points. I just am "getting tired", that our local restrurants/motels, etc, are not "keeping up their places. We have a very popular city, so much to "offer", not only our locals, but tourism. Lets keep "tourists and the "monies they spend "here", not in Traverse City...If you "all work together, this town will NEVER become a ghost town, like many of the "up North towns have become... Owners, "pay attention to these reviews". Nothing like "fresh paint in nuetral colors, new flooring to brighten up a place! Cadillac is NOT a trashy town, bring people in and "keep them coming back.

We traditionally stop here to get ice cream as we drive across Michigan... and on our latest trip, we sat down and had lunch. We hadn't eaten here for several years, and it was a good experience. (Reminder to those reading old reviews--restaurants are now nonsmoking) 1) great location--right along the highway, so it makes an easy stop. Nice view of the lake/marsh, so you can look at the water and the birds while you eat. 2) staff was pleasant and helpful 3) enjoyed our food! I had the chicken strips with baked potato and salad. Chicken was a good amount, nice and crisp, not greasy. The house salad was fresh and crisp with a nice variety of stuff in it. DH had the bbq pork sandwich with the salad bar (it was the special, but then he realized it was on the regular menu and he felt let down) He said it was tasty. DD had the chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes--ate all the chicken, but didn't like her potatoes. DS had the fish sandwich but forgot to order it plain so he had to do surgery on it (not the restaurant's fault--most people like tartar sauce and lettuce and etc!) afterwards we got ice cream cones. Nice ice cream, nice flavors, but pricey.

My burrito was typical greasy spoon fare. The food other people ate was less than appetizing. Bathrooms were rundown and dirty. The whole place was rundown. I'm giving it one star for the burrito and one for the memories I have of stopping to eat ice cream as a kid.

The breakfast is cheap. Food is O.K. They don't let people smoke in there anymore. i'll go back

So I might be a little biased on this review, I apologize. This family owned restaurant is located right across the street from my parents house and we used to go here a lot. It's a smaller restaurant that could use some updating, but the prices are amazing! You aren't going to spend more than $7 on a full dinner. The food is excellent and there is a nice view of the lake. Great during the summer with the selection of ice cream and also great during the winter on those fun snowmobile trips.

The staff and regulars make this place welcoming and wonderful break in day. I felt like a regular myself even though this was my first time here. You only get this level of friendly service when the staff enjoy where they work and who they work with. The menu is full of breakfast and comfort favorites. Then there is the ice cream, mine was french fried and covered in hot fudge. This is the place to stop for good food, welcoming atmosphere, and very friendly service. All with a wonderful view of a little nub of Lake Cadillac.

Food was decent diner style and well priced. Location convenient and off lake. Service was good. It's a shame that the decor is so grimy, as this could be a real gem. Needs a major overhaul.

Frosty's is the best diner in Cadillac. Cheap, filling, and delicious food. The service is nice and the atmosphere is laid back. It's a particularly great place to go for breakfast after a late night of doing whatever... Love it ^_^ Side note- Don't go here for fine dining, quality ingredients, or a super clean/new establishment.

Came in for breakfast this morning on our way out to Caberfae Peaks. Food was good, the bacon was extraordinary, portions huge, prices great! Our waitress was very nice, quick with coffee refills, and didn't seem to mind our substitutions or funny requests. One of our group isn't a big breakfast food fan, and our waitress checked with the kitchen and they let her order off the lunch menu instead. We'll probably come back through here on our way out of town for lunch and pie! Previous reviews about the cleanliness here made me a little worried, but it seemed fine to me, a little dated, but didn't strike me as dirty.

Tons of character, a 'local institution', cheap food and locally owned. Good breakfast for what you pay. -Nice people - servers and staff. I've only had breakfast here.

Really dirty. It felt like I was dining in a really bad VFW hall. It's just a small town place so I feel bad bashing it, but the place needed a really good scrubbing. I couldn't wait to leave. I dig towny restaurants in general, but this didn't even ooze any up-north charm. I'd keep driving through next time or even hit up a micky d's instead (and I typically avoid FF like the plague).

Cheap breakfast, good service. My three egg omelet couldn't contain the amount of filling they put in it. Stuffed for under $4.

As good as it gets! Get there before 11AM and get the number 5. 2 eggs, choice of sausage, bacon, or ham, toast hasbrowns AND a coffee for $4.25! Best deal in Northern Michigan. Or, if lunch is more your speed get the Coupe de Ville, full of love and sandwich goodness. ....Loves it! Too bad this rating doesn't go to 6, people who post under five are haters, WOOOWWZAS! Yours Truly, Dynamite the Clown

CIGARETTE SMOKE! It ruined my dining experience. At any given time, about a fourth of the customers were smoking. Although the smoking & non-smoking seating is distinct, the airflow is intermingled. I had the smelt fish, which was just o.k. The oil in the fryer seemed extra heavy. My kids liked their kiddie meals. The restaurant appears to be a bit of a community institution, so I wish I could give it a higher rating. The smoke was so overwhelming that we almost walked out, and I certainly won't return.

We come here every year after a weekend camping trip for a real breakfast before heading home! Diner type food, omelets, pancakes, burgers, etc. Soup and salad bar too! Always satisfying and good:)

Great ice cream! Best pit stop when headed through town! The prices are pretty good for the portions you get. Definitely worth stopping by.

This place was actually our 2nd choice but the first place was closed for Memorial day, which turned out to be lucky for us. Great breakfasts! Get the hash! Great service too. We'll definitely be back!

Food was nothing special. I felt there wasn't much care put into my dish, and it was just thrown together. Service was a joke! Clearly everyone here hasn't had to serve more than 2 tables before. It took forever just to get seated, we waited longer than people that came in after us for food, coffee refills were few and far between, and when we went to pay it took 5 minutes, 3 workers to pass us to wrap silverware instead, and the person was very rude. I will never come here again.
