I have to second everything that the other review says. I am so happy that a friend of mine brought me here randomly one day. The food is AMAZING. I love their salsas. I frequent this place so often that they know exactly which ones are my favorite and a couple of times, they've given me guacamole for free. The people who work there are so kind, too. I think I am addicted to their tacos. I've probably tried them with all of the different kinds of meat they offer, even the beef tongue. They have great carnitas, too. Yum. When I'm away at school in Ann Arbor, I get cravings for them that are strong enough to make me drive back to Flint! They have great lunch specials. I think they're all $6 and include your choice of entree, rice, and beans. My mom always orders it with the chimichanga and can barely finish half of it. Sometimes, I'll go full fat kid and order a tamale or two on the side... I'd recommend that you do the same, too.

I visited this place based on previous reviews, and I my experience was completely different, when I think authentic Mexican I think fresh ingredients not the usual cheese smothered deep fried junk that u can get in taco bell! but that was I got, guacamole and salsa are OK, but nothing that would make me come back!

Hands down the most authentic and delicious Mexican food in Flint. I have spent the last three years in Long Beach, CA. So when I came back here to my home of Flint, I had a certain itch that I needed scratched. That itch being the taqueria-styled taco. A small, two tortilla, medium soft carne asada taco, covered with fresh cilantro and onions. Sheer heaven, but as it turns out hard to find in Flint. Cheese is available, but I don't much care for tex-mex bullshit anymore. I have learned from the most Mexican of Mexicans that cheese and sour cream do not belong on tacos. They have 3-5 different salsas, all delicious and amazing. They may only bring you one, but if you ask for the other flavors they will gladly bring them to your table, free of charge. They have a tasty breakfast burrito that wont break your bank or your waistline. They have tortas, which are big Mexican sandwiches that were not easy to find in Flint until I came here. They also have horchata there as a beverage. It is a sweet rice-based drink seasoned with sugar and cinnamon and is the best liquid dessert ever. Great to follow up a spicy meal with. The ambiance is also authentic enough to turn away people who would probably prefer a sizzling fajita and beefy crunch burritos. TV blaring Mexican channels? Black, painted felt posters? Mexican spice rack? Mexican cookies, candy and cds for sale? Not a white person in sight? These are all things you will be able to enjoy upon a visit. This place is a dive, but I love it dearly. This as close to Mexico as Flint will ever get. The best real Mexican in Flint is in an old Taco Bell. How is that for awesome?

It is a small unpretentious place with big taste. I love the chimichanga lunch special. The salsa is addictive and the guacamole is the best I have ever had. Usually expediant service and friendly staff. There are a lot off Mexican restaurants in the Flint and Grand Blanc area and I believe I have sampled them all. I think this one beats them all in terms taste.
