One of the best breakfasts my family has had! Took home some raspberry jam too. Watched the fresh bread come out of the oven for the toast and French toast, delicious blueberry pancakes too! Large portions for the scrambles which my husband loved. Definitley stop if you're in the area!!

My absolute favorite place to eat when I'm in northern MI. They have bears and deer and moose and birds on the walls, which some may consider strange or morbid, but I consider it decoration. the food comes in HUGE servings - we're talking plates bigger than my head for breakfast. Hearty portions, delicious home-cooked taste, and a cozy little place? Sounds perfect.

Excellent! I ordered an omlet and it was great. Everything is homemade and service was excellent. Decor is rustic.

Great breakfast! Huge portions. It's a one of a kind place (too many animal heads and antlers on the wall to count). (Sandwiches are good here, too, but I always dream about their ENORMOUS breakfast platters). Their homemade jams that come with the toast are also great!

All you could want in a breakfast joint-- great food, giant portions, consistently friendly and prompt service. For less than $9 you get three eggs, bacon, link sausage, American fries and toast with homemade jams-- takes up the entire foot-long oval plate. Highly recommend the pancakes.

My family and I usually come to the Camp Deli for breakfast 5-6 times a year, whenever we're vacationing nearby. It's always a favorite stop. Servings are large, so be prepared. I usually skip lunch after I've eaten there! Everything is freshly made or procured locally and it really makes the difference. It's not fancy food, just delicious. I honestly can't think of anything we've been served that disappointed in the least. I can't comment on the lunch items (never had 'em!) but I'd be shocked if they disappointed, either. Negatives? When there's a wait it can be awkward as there's no area inside set aside for it and no 'hostess' waiting to take your name. Do everyone a favor, though: don't be rude and take a table without checking with a waitress first. I'd also assume some would be turned off by the 'huntin' lodge' theme inside and it's mismatched furniture (me, I think it's part of the charm). And finally, no debit or charge cards accepted.

One of the best breakfast spots in the world!! Absolutely every, and any, thing here is impressive - it's like eating at Paul Bunyan's personal kitchen. Yum, yum!

Being in the restaurant business , this is the only place we go for breakfast! And we have a breakfast and lunch restaurant .. The food is straight forward fresh and good! Thank you Forrest, for making our day off enjoyable!

You gotta stop here when in the area. Best breakfast around. Great staff, clean, large portions. And, be sure to show up early so you can take home some homemade cookies before they run out. When they are gone, they are gone. Enjoy!

Can I give it six stars today? The bread is extra chronic this morning. Had to abandon my omelette so I could finish my toast, which I never do. Another amazing breakfast.

Anytime we visit this area we enjoy coming to this restaurant. Food is prepared to order, all the amenities are as previously reviewed. Weekend breakfast arrive before the hard rush at 8:30-9:00. Strongly advise that you make sure your name is actually recorded on their clipboard for seating. (They are only human and they do make mistakes.). Obviously good people own and operate this highly popular restaurant. We totally, without hesitation, recommend this excellent breakfast place. They open at 7:00 AM and close at 2:00 PM so plan your schedule accordingly. Well worth your wait time to be seated, if your name is on the list.

Excellent breakfast / lunch, like that I can have lunch while the rest of the group has breakfast. The food is filling, plentiful, and VERY GOOD. Love having breakfast there

Amazing breakfasts (lunch great too) with enormous portions and really fresh ingredients. The blueberry pancakes are loaded with berries and the egg dishes are all great, especially the Camp Scamble. Atmosphere is a hoot - taxidermied animals cover the walls and you really feel like you're at deer camp! Took the grand kids and had a blast.
