Had a great meal last night! Service, drinks, food, people watching. Only had a 10 minute wait. I love Bill's for exactly what it is! Our table feasted on Blue Gill, Walleye and Prime Rib. Portions are HUGE and the taters (sweet potatoes especially) are perfect!

My wife and I love a good steak and loved going to Bill's for the longest time. We both order the filet and choice (shrimp or walleye). The past three or four times we've gone one or the both of us have had a steak that is of an "off" cut. Perhaps from the ends of the loin. It seems like the quality of the beef has fallen off over the last couple years. When it's good, it's great. When it's not you might as well go to Applebee's and eat 40% cheaper.

Ok, let's just cut to the chase here. This is a real road house style meat place. There is not much for atmosphere here. Dress code is a clean nascar hat and overalls. However, it is a fun restaurant where you will get great service. The food always comes out quick and it is ok. I don't think the quality of the meat is anything fantastic, in fact pretty average but we know going in this is not Mortons or Ruth Chris. Decent steaks, a big potato and nice little salad. In fact they actually have a homemade blue cheese dressing which is pretty good. The disappointing part is margarine packets (uggh!) served with store bought cheap rolls, and the lack of draft beer, only bottles. Prices are reasonable, and like I said the place is just a road house that is kind of fun.

Hubby and I both had the 26oz porterhouse and they were soooo good!!!! Neither of us liked the coleslaw though and he didn't like the beer fries. I had a loaded baked potato and it was really good. It was expensive, but a nice treat. The waitress we had was wonderful. Extremely friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience. We will definitely be back for special occasions.

The Porterhouse has some great flavor and I really enjoyed it. The wife got the sirloin and it didn't have much flavor. I tried it and I didn't think it had any flavor at all. One of my daughters ate the same as I did and she loved her Porterhouse as well. Her belly can't hold as much as mine so I was lucky enough to have some left over for a late night snack. My other daughter got the Philly sandwich which was also more than she could eat so we put the rest in a box. I don't think she was impressed with the sandwich because she didn't have much of an expression when she was eating it. If you go, I recommend the Porterhouse. The bill for the 4 of us with pops was just over 90 dollars.

Bill's has dynamite steaks! It is a diamond in the rough. I've been here twice and just love the filets. The meat is so fresh and succulent. The steaks are served on iron skillet. I can see them sizzling now. YUM! They get their beef from fine locally-owned cattle farmers. Their filets are only $18 - a complete steal! Bill's is about 20 minutes southwest of Coldwater, MI. They have a wide variety of brews in bottles too. I cannot wait to get back to Bill's.

If you are within 30 miles of this restaurant, this is the place to go. The steaks are super and the price is right. The steaks are huge! The place is always packed! It does get noisy at times. The service is good and speedy. The meat is hand cut and prepared on-site. If you leave hungry, it is your fault.

This is a place the husband and I like to go when we want to treat ourselves to a steak dinner. The surrounding area really doesn't have much in the way of steakhouses....and it truly is in the middle of nowhere but easy to find as it is right on the highway. We've always had a lengthy wait, even when we went on "off" hours (not right at dinner time). I am a ribeye fan, and my husband likes the sirloin. We've never had a problem with the steaks. I usually get fries as a potato because fries are always a safe bet. My husband didn't like their mashed potatoes (I think they were "loaded"?) so he now orders fries as well. Salads are fine except do NOT get their "famous" bleu cheese dressing. It tastes like mayo with bleu cheese chunks in it. They are also known for their margaritas but I have yet to order one. You can bring kids there, but the menu is (in my opinion) expensive so maybe just for older children since the young ones usually waste their food and douse everything in ketchup anyway. I have recommended this place to friends before, but truth be told if a steakhouse opened up closer to where I live I'd probably drive there instead.

Unfortunately, our last visit to Bill's will be our final ever. From their distasteful shirts to their cold food served by an unfriendly waitress, this place now officially stinks in our book. I left a note on the back of our credit card receipt in hopes that the owner/ manager would at least see my comments. Too bad, since this used to be our favoritefamily restaurant. I refuse to drive almost an hour with gas prices this high to have food even my unpicky hubby didn't care for. Too bad, Bill's, you've lost some loyal customers.

Best steaks around! Prices are pretty crazy but what do u expect for a great steak!? Also it's always busy but the steaks are worth the wait!

I love the steaks here! They are always delicious and cooked exactly how I ask. The wait is a little long for the food usually, but they are almost always packed full, so it is to be expected. I have had several different appetizers and drink specials as well and loved everything I've tried! I always look forward to a night at bills, their portions are so large that there are always plenty of leftovers. :)

This is the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. We had to wait for over an hour for a table at 5pm. The problem was that they only give tables to people who seat the exact number that the table holds and most of their tables are large. I complained but you know when it goes in one ear and out the other. Then once we ordered food, the appetizer came a really long hair in the food. It was disgusting. They acted as if they were doing us a favor by taking the cost of the food off our bill. They also served my food about 5 minutes before everyone else at the table. I am shocked at the good reviews others gave this place. Our experience was horrible. From food to service, this place is bad all around.

Friendly customer service, waitress BA was great . Large portions for a reasonable price. Great steaks and well flavored. Good size menu and 53 different.t beers. Went on a Sunday with $1off beer. If in the area, a must go!
