The owners really care about their establishment. Especially Kevin. Thank you ! I can tell you take pride in your restaurant. Great food, and good times. A must try!

Good food, but a bit uncomfortable with the lady wait staff outfits. My daughter won't be working here. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and apps are tasty.

This place was awesome. The food was great (turkey reuben, cheeseburger, calzone) was fantastic, and the service was even better. Erin was a great server. We will definitely be back!

The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because my meal was very good. First, we had a reservation for 6pm for 7 people... We got there and was told it would be 5 minutes. 50 minutes later we were sat a a 4 person table to wait until a bigger one opened up... Also you should know we had 3 young children who were very hungry. Thank god they were so well behaved while we waited. Finally a little after 7 we were sat at a proper table. We ordered quickly since we were so hungry. The food took another 40 minutes at least to get to the table. My sandwich was good. But everyone else's was mediocre. The best part of the experience was the roof top view: very nice. But we will not be back.

We knew We were visiting Brighton and were looking for a place to meet our niece and her friend for dinner and drinks. After reading reviews for the local bars featuring food despite some bad reviews we chose The Pound. I have to say based on my experience I think the bad reviews were unfounded. Maybe I'm not as picky as some of the local patrons. Between the four of us we dined on two wraps, chicken wings, and a meat lovers pizza. All were good as were the Two Hearted draft beers. Our server Aubrey Anna was friendly and pleasant. I'm glad I didn't let the bad reviews steer me away we all enjoyed our visit and if we return the area I would visit again.

Nice atmospheres a ok and the service. No for the consumable products. So to start off the tea that is offered is out of a gun. Not a good start. For an appetizer we ordered the nachos which was tasty but there wasn't 2 ounces of hamburger meat on the entire thing. The group of four ordered two burger both were the "pound" not bad not great. We also had the the Michigan salad the best of the items. At any rate this not bad juts not a great find. Brighton has lots of good food and fun. See yea.

I wish I could have given this place a higher rating, but there are a couple of major issues that will prevent me from going back or recommending this to anyone else: 1) The drinks are diluted. Very diluted and of questionable origin. They are charging top shelf prices for cheap, inferior liquor. They then dilute this liquor as much as possible. The mixed drinks were, in short, an absolute rip-off. 2) Whoever is hiring their staff is clearly thinking with little brain, rather than big, business brain. The staff are almost entirely young, attractive, anorexic females with serious attitude problems. When we walked in, not one of the five hostesses actually greeted us - they stared at us and waited for us to speak. Then when we went up to the roof, the hostess (very dirty blonde hair and a sour expression) glared at us and our child like he was the devil and then literally threw the menus at us. And considering how many of these girls some incompetent manager hired, the service is appalling. It took 20 minutes to get our first order of drinks in. 3) Bathrooms are disgusting and you have to walk past the line of employed, but bored girls gossiping and talking about boys outside the bathroom. In short, I am extremely, disappointed and we felt so uncomfortable and felt so taken advantage of by the inferior, over-priced products that I will not be likely to return anytime soon. I will walk around the corner to Stout or Bagger Dave's where both the service and the product are top notch.

The location is great but the food I had wasn't so great. This would be a great place to drink on the rooftop but I wouldn't recommend the food. What really struck me as odd was how bad the what seemed to be homemade chips were. The chips were greasy and nasty tasting. Club wrap was ok. Bartender downstairs was fast and nice.

Cheese bread and italiano were ok but service was terrible. Waiter was an airhead and didn't really know how to wait tables. Decent atmosphere and a cute place but don't think I will be back.

I had the Michigan salad, one co-worker had the steak salad an another had the nachos grande. The food was very good. However, while after receiving our change, we were given only bills. The waitress advised they round up and do not give change. This is our money. Will not be back. Sad as the food was good. Debbie, Brighton, MI

I wanted to take my sisters out to eat and we decided to go here ! Their wasn't a long wait and we got seated right away which was nice ! The hostes was super nice and greeted me with a smile ! On top of that my server Anthony was hilarious and always kept a good conversation ! I really enjoyed this places atmosphere as well as its Amazing pizza ! There where a lot of people running around but that's just apart of running a good restaurant ! I highly recommend this place and there pizza !

This spot was decent. Decent for Brighton. Maybe not the best food. The pizza was ok. But, a great spot to drink with some friends. The waitstaff is friendly and there is plenty of room for groups. It's the kind of place you go just to enjoy a day off. Good for sports I would imagine and wasn't too packed the night I was in there. I really had a great time and for me this spot wasn't the greatest but, more about the friends you are getting together with while at the spot. It's great for that kind of gathering!

First , all negative reviews on the food are spot on. It all comes from a food service company and tastes generic. The service is okay, with staff focused on "moving you along" once your food finally gets there (which takes a long time). I like the rooftop deck as it is a great feature in Brighton but, because their food is so bad, they have a hard time filling the rest of the restaurant and turned to Groupon to increase food sales. If you get a Groupon, don't plan to enjoy it on the great rooftop deck as it is not allowed to be used on the deck. As I mentioned, the food is bad so save your money and just go there to drink :)

Good food? Compared to what? This place could use Jon Taffer's help via an episode of Bar Rescue. Ate here during a weeknight recently and about the best I can say is the guacamole and chips were good. The margaritas were watered down (I had two, both watered down); the food was medicore and that's being charitable. My French dip was awful. The meat was way overdone and as a result, tasteless. Cardboard would have tasted better. The au jus (and I am serious here) tasted like the chef had spilled a salt shaker into the juice it was that salty. The sandwich was too big to actually fold over and dip, so I have no idea how you are supposed to actually dip the sandwich into the au jus. I guess the chef and manager have never actually tried. My wife's strawberry salad was good, except the waitress said it came with chicken when in fact, the chicken pieces were pieces of cheese. The cucumbers were obviously on ice since they were dried out and not moist. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good. Before you think I'm being too picky, bars CAN have good food. They just have to try a bit. But there's really no excuse for lousy drinks when you're a bar. To their credit when I mentioned the salty au jus we did get a coupon for $5 off but to be honest this was our first and last time here. The Pound really is for the dogs.

We ended up at the Pound after dinner because the women wanted to dance. This decision led to one of the most bizarre and ridiculous encounters of my life. Before getting to that, let's discuss just a few ways in which the Pound! is possibly the worst bar I have ever been to. To start with, management must not have anticipated much of a crowd because TWO of the three toilets in the men's room were broken. This led to ridiculously long lines for the men's room. How a nightclub can be so stupid to not have a fully functional bathroom on a busy Saturday night is beyond me. Was the only plumber in Brighton on vacation that day?? Since it was so nice out my group decided to grab a table outside underneath the tent they had set up. The outdoor bar was advertising $5 specials of Miller Lite and other pint bottles on special. Not a great deal, but I don't expect great prices at a nightclub on a Saturday night. What I do expect is for the beer to be relatively fresh, which was not the case at the Pound. The Miller Lite and Coors Lite bottles were branded for St. Patrick's day, meaning that the beer was at least 3-4 months old. Really, the Pound? You don't care that you're blatantly selling skunked out beer to your patrons?? Finally, as previously mentioned, I had one of the most insane enounters with any employee of any establishment at the Pound. When we had had enough stale beer and long bathroom waits, we went to exit via a chain rope that a bouncer was sitting next to. The bouncer informed us that he's "not supposed to let people out this way." Excuse me? Was the Pound seriously going to try and forcibly detain us? Having had enough of the nonsense, our party exited via some yellow caution tape wrapped around the tent. The bouncer and two of his buddies standing near him proceeded to scream, curse and threaten us as we left. I don't know if the guy was drunk, high, stupid or some combination of all three, but he should have been fired - and possibly arrested - for his insane behavior. All of this because we tried to exit the establishment. So in closing, if you want to drink overpriced, stale beer, wait an eternity for the bathroom and have your life threatened by bouncers for absolutely no good reason, then the Pound is the place to be. If none of those things appeals to you, literally anywhere in Brighton not named the Pound is a better place to spend your Saturday night.

Terrible food. Drinks are diluted. I've heard from at least three friends to never get bottle beer there because it's always, ALWAYS very old beer. Not sure if they buy old beer from other places at a discount or they don't manage the books and stock properly. Regardless, I'd skip this place and head to champs if you're looking for a good burger and a beer.

Nice clean place. The food was good and not to expensive. Our waitress was very friendly. The outside sitting is definitely a bonus.

Very busy Saturday night downtown. service was a little slow, but we sat in a large booth in front of the windows overlooking Main Street which was cool. Pizza was very very good, homemade dough! Greek salad was also very good. Fun atmosphere.

I would say if you've scrolled through all these reviews and read through them they're probably almost all spot on. But in all fairness I don't feel like this place is claiming to be something they're not. I haven't eaten here but I'm sure the food is Meh at best, the service is hit or miss, one night I had a bartender who was really not that attentive but a week later I had a server who was decent so... really hit or miss on that. One thing I found strange maybe hilarious is that they have bouncers at night...why? It's Brighton, MI... I'm gonna guess not even Ypsilanti bars have bouncers, infact the only place in Ypsi that has bouncers is the strip club so...and I've partied at bars at MSU where lets be honest bouncers are needed... it's a college town with crazy college kids... Brighton is not that. The fact this place has like 3-4 bouncers working at one time suggest more or less something "crazy" might happen so I guess on a positive note you're in for a show if seeing someone drunk and disorderly is your idea of nightly entertainment. So honestly, don't go into this place with high expectations and expect Ann Arbor quality food, service, and drinks. But... but if you're bored on a Friday or Saturday and have nothing to do... roll the dice. Odds are you'll see some funny stuff. From the sounds of it you should just get your food and spirit needs out of the way first and maybe just stick to beer when you arrive. The one thing this place has going for it is the roof top bar. it's quite a view honestly, especially at night.
