I discovered this place from yelp and I am so happy I did!! We've been here twice now and each time we cannot say no to the house made French toast. We share it and get another item as well because there are just too many good choices!

This place has been one of our local favorites for years, but things have really slipped in the last year. The egg white preparation seems to be a smaller portion every time. And most importantly, they cannot figure out how to get the toast out of the kitchen with your breakfast... I've waited 10min the last three times we've eaten here. I think we'll be taking a year off and trying new places that value their customers time. I should note that we've had many good meals here in the past. Hopefully they get it back on track.

In town for a wedding and wanted to check out a breakfast diner and this place came up...Mediocre food. Slow service. I ordered smoked salmon Benedict and it was more like cooked salmon. So fishy and unappetizing. Their "hollandaise sauce" was so greasy and thick. Could not eat it!! My husband ordered the tex mex bowl which was decent. Would not go back.

The menu selection was broad. Everything sounded delicious. I had the salmon Benedict and it was one if the best I've had. Affordable prices and good service. Will definitely go back again! Loved the chocolate covered strawberries!

I would highly suggest a trip into this "Mom & Pop" style restaurant. The staff was pleasant and service top notch. And the food....outstanding! I'd recommend the "Greasy Spoon" or one of the many omelets.

This usually one of my favorite places for breakfast. Today, however, it was not. I ordered the tomatoes au gratin, but said they didn't cook them enough last time. Well, they were terrible again!!! Waitress boxed them up for me to take home to cook. I would have expected a manager/owner or whoever would have talked to me. I am not interested in coming back.

Sooooo good!!! This is one of the best breakfast spots in the area. Their stuffed french toast is to die for. We generally go here for special occasions- brunches, graduation, mother's day, etc although I'd like to go here all the time. Nice staff, clean restaurant and great food. If you love breakfast- this is a great place to check out.

Down home & damn good. This has become a MUST eat every time I return to Michigan to visit family! The five stars is definitely for the amazing food- consistently voted best in Livingston County. The atmosphere is down home country and service is seat yourself & we'll keep your cup full! Large groups can be accommodated in their extra dining room and there's extra parking behind the building. It's not much to look at on the outside, but the food is more than amazing!

Mama is pregnant and was craving waffles one morning so we went to The Breakfast Club which I had seen had good reviews on yelp. When we first rolled up we were a little put off by the parking situation. It seemed like every spot we pulled in to was reserved for another store in the strip or handicapped. However, we realized there is plentiful parking in the back. As another reviewer said the decor is a bit dated but I almost think that's part of the charm, it's a mom and pop kind of place that doesn't bother with anything fancy. I got my waffle, my son ordered a pancake (which they decorated with a face of strawberries for him), and my husband got eggs benedict which is his out to breakfast staple. Everything was super delicious. My waffle wasn't exactly what I was expecting, a lot of cinnamon and vanilla in it, but it was totally delish and hit the spot nonetheless. My son actually didn't eat much of his pancake after getting a taste of my waffle. We're not big out to breakfast people since my husband cooks a lot of breakfast foods at home, but if we're ever in the mood again I'm sure we'll be back!

Food was good, which was not the issue. I have a small family and for our bill to be over $50 for nothing special was amazing. I don't mind paying a lot when I'm expecting it and the service is great, but unfortunately I had to ask for coffee 2 times and we were only 1 of 3 tables. Their was just no presence of authority anywhere to be found. The worst thing at a restaurant is for people to receive their food before you, even if you ordered it 5 min before, especially when their is only 3 tables!!!! Was so upset to see this, especially since I had small children that were hungry.... I don't understand how that happened or how our bill was over $50. We had 2 kid meals, 2 OJ, 2 sandwiches and 1 side fruit (which is huge chunks of melon and oranges that were worth .50 at best) and 2 coffees. I will never return unless they get realistic on pricing and have better service

They advertise 4-egg omelets but don't be fooled... I know omelets very well and these are NOT 4-egg omelets, they're more like 2 to 2.5 eggs (about 5" X 3"). I ordered omelet with broccoli, cheese and portabella mushrooms... very little mushrooms. Next time I'll stay with their more popular dishes (baked french toast, etc.)

To die for breakfasts. Unless I looked up restaurants in the area I would have not found this little gem. Located in a rough looking strip of stores. Walking in the decor is dated. Don't let any of that stop you. I have been here multiple times and have gotten something different each time and each time I have loved what I have gotten. Their "famous" baked french toast is to die for. Probably the best breakfast item I have ever ordered. My husband gets the egg options and always is satisfied. I have never had a problem with the wait staff. They are always at the table moments of us sitting down and came back frequently to fill coffee and see how everything tasted. The chocolate covered strawberries are a nice touch with the bill.

Family breakfast morning of the wedding. Had a party of 9; heard only good things from my family. I had the baked french toast (house specialty). WOW! Really enjoy it. Needed something a little salty/savoury on the side; ordered some potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream. Great start to the day!

The Breakfast Club is a very cute little place. In all honesty, the only reason I decided to go there was because of name. My love for teenage delinquents attending detention brought me here. Oh boy did it reach my expectations. They have an impressively large menu for being mostly a breakfast place (closes at 2 I believe). I got the French Toast, they have some interesting menu items, like a creme Brulee French Toast, but I wasn't feeling too adventurous. The service was amazing. I don't remember the waitresses name, but she never let my coffee reach empty, and that's all I need. The only reason I am rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price. I think it was 9 dollars for my french toast (only 4 pieces), and then an extra 2 for my bacon. Despite the price, I love this place. If I'm in town, I'll come back again!!

Where do I start! How about the unbelievable French Toast, oh my! If you are a fan of French toast you must come to The Breakfast Club and take their creation for a test run; you will be back. The food was downright excellent. The eggs, fresh. The ham slices were thick and tender. What a great way to start off the day; and the chocolate dipped strawberries were a wonderful treat with the bill (:

Good breakfast! Lots of great breakfast items, with many out-of-the-ordinary items. On the day we were there, the staff was chummy with some guests and it affected service. Certainly better than your typical diner or chain.

Had breakfast here this morning. Seems like quite the spot with lots of local business meetings/breakfasts. Personally had the yogurt parfait and it was delicious. My friend had the blitzes which were just as amazing. Will definitely eat here again!

Love having breakfast here. Service is always good, food is consistent, coffee is decent and the chocolate covered strawberries at the end are my favorite. I've never had the famous French Toast, however I've heard it's amazing. I almost always get one of their breakfast bowls. I've never order anything other than breakfast food...overall Breakfast Club is a delightful little place to enjoy your weekend morning. Better than going to IHop. Yuck. :)

Very disappointed. I will state that I created my Yelp account specifically to leave a review for this restaurant. I feel the need to prevent others from wasting their time and money. With a name like the breakfast club one would make the assumption that they made good breakfast...my assumption was wrong. I honestly am not sure how the other reviews are so good. They must have been written by friends or family or by people who have never had the privilege of having a remotely decent breakfast. When we went we ordered the breakfast burrito and the classic eggs benedict to split. Normally breakfast portions are ridiculously big...but not here. Both the hash browns and diced potatoes were clearly from a bag and a tiny portion. The eggs benedict was the worst ive ever had. I wish i could say that the worst thing was the hard boiled egg they placed on the canadian bacon and english muffin that they tried to pass off as a poached egg...but unfortunately it was not. The "hollandaise" sauce was awkward. I dont even know what to say about it. It tasted like movie theater butter...i wish i was lying. To be honest i have no clue how they even managed to make it taste that way. Then the breakfast burrito which had chorizo eggs green peppers tomatoes and cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. Im not sure they know what chorizo is..what was in our flavorless soggy burrito was not chorizo. It was gross. THE PRICE...was clearly a one sided joke. Our bill was 20.12. Ive worked in restaurants a lot of my life and understand youre paying for quality service and atmosphere...which we got none of. It was 9.99 for the eggs benedict and 8.99 for a breakfast burrito. Thats outrageous especially for frozen food and the tiny portions. Both of us left that place hungry but didnt want to break into our 401Ks to get another meal to hold ourselves over. They should take the word breakfast out of their name until they figure out how to make it.

Haven't been here in a few years and had always looked forward to coming. That will not be the case anymore! Service is one of my pet peeves. At this moment, after receiving drinks but waiting over 15 minutes for the waitress to return to take my order, I would give service a 1 out of 10. Two people just walked out. Waiting 10 minutes now and food still has not arrived. But, don't much care how the food will be at this moment. When the service is so sub-par, the meal is ruined.

Great place! Got a 4 top fast on a busy Sunday at 11. Pretty fast turnover. Amazing selection of breakfast dishes. The Eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked with a mild Hollindaise sauce. French toast was good and bacon is thick sliced and well cooked but not overdone. Omelette was generous portion and perfectly done. Good coffee with lots of flavored cream options. Ended the meal with chocolate covered strawberries. Highly recommended.

I wanted to like this place... I really did. We recently moved into the Brighton area from Ann Arbor and going out for breakfast on the weekends is a time honored tradition in my marriage. I was eager to find another option for us. We went on a Saturday early in the morning. The place is on the small side and was packed. I'd read all the great reviews, so I was ready to wait for one of the small tables and eager to have a great breakfast! There were actually a few tables open, so we sat down right way. ...Well, the food was just okay. It was a little bland and my sides were cold compared to my breakfast entree. Bleh. My husband had the corned beef hash and he just shrugged and said "I've had way better, I've had way worse. It's fine". The BIGGEST problem is the service. It was AWFUL. We waited over 10 minutes just to get a drink order in... but sip carefully, as the entire time we were there, we couldn't get anyone to get us a refill. Someone did come by and top off my husband's coffee at one point, but I couldn't get another iced tea if my life had depended on it. Our waitress disappeared and became a mythical creature that we began to think we had only imagined... she resurfaced with our food over half an hour after we ordered it. I asked for hot sauce for my eggs and she once again disappeared into the mist, where we gave up on her resurfacing. I eventually flagged down another waitress and begged for hot sauce. She brought it when I had given on waiting for it up and eaten half my food. Refills were always asked for but never provided. (sigh...) When we were VERY obviously done with our food... napkins piled on the plate, silver wear set up into various sculptures made out of boredom, etc... it took us SO LONG to flag down our mythical unicorn of a waitress to get our check. ...and then we waited. We waited for half an hour for our CHECK after we finally got to ask for it as people piled up at the door waiting for tables, tables around us got their food and their check and LEFT as we waited for our check. I was making apologies to my husband for even suggesting this place as I looked at his face getting poutier and promising him he could go to Home Depot and buy something stupid if he never brought up that coming here was MY idea again. Finally, the waitress appeared with the check (and, the only perk of the meal, chocolate covered strawberries!) and my husband almost LUNGED at her to get her to take our card with her before she could take off again and we had to wait even longer for her to come back and take the card. We finally walked out, 2 hours after first sitting down. 2 hours for some eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast guys... and no refills for my sad, empty glass of iced tea (which had been empty since about 7 minutes after I got it). If the service had been better, I would have tried this place again to try one of the other menu items to see if things got better... but I don't think we'll be back.

My mom was in town from ca and we were looking for a close breakfast restaurant. I yelped and this place came up so we thought we would try it out. Coming from ca where we have an abundance of restaurants I found this restaurant to be cozy, clean and delicious. The staff was friendly and fast and we will be back again to enjoy their delicious menu.

The Breakfast Club (Brighton) is a spin-off of the original, located in Clawson, MI. It serves the same menu from what I can tell including its awesome breakfast burrito! The coffee is outstanding as well as the rest of the menu items. If you have not been, it's a must try.

We have only been once since the original owners sold it a couple of yers ago. We still go to the one in Novi, still owned by them. Love the special things we can get there you can't get anywhere else. And not to mention the chocolate covered strawberries freshly dipped :) I love breakfast for dinner and wish they were opened later.

Went here on black Friday super early. I think everyone was still out shopping because this place had one or two other parties in addition to mine. However, I went, got the eggs florentine and coffee. First, it was nice to have a selection of flavored coffee creamers to use. The service was very nice and the waitress was very attentive. My food was really good. The eggs florentine is eggs scrambled with spinach, sat on sausage patty and English muffin bread. Then it's all covered with hollandaise. The eggs were great, I loved that bread they used, but found the sausage a little too salty. The hollandaise, I think, was packaged because it didn't have that delicious creaminess or flavor that homemade has. Breakfast came with hashbrowns, which I wish had more flavor. They seemed like they were frozen -- which is fine, but I really wish more was done to them besides a crisp-up on the griddle. I'd give the food a solid three stars. It's hard to find any good breakfast places around, much less 3 star food. Most placed are 2 or so. The great service bumps it up to a 4. The waitress was nice and the extra bonuses are nice: flavored creamer and a chocolate covered strawberry at the end! I'd definitely come back and try the dishes others have recommended.

They have been rated the top place for breakfast in LivCo for darn good reasons: The food is awesome and the service is fast and friendly. Skip the chains and come here for the fabulous unique breakfast (or lunch). Everything I've sampled has been delicious, but of course, the oven baked French toast is where it's at if you're in need of a sugar rush. It's the bomb! The hubby's favorite is the breakfast burrito, served with salsa and stuffed with eggs, cheese and chorizo. It's divine. Always great in-season specials, too. And flavored coffee creamer! It always makes me smile to be able to put a little flavor into my morning coffee. Prices aren't super cheap (you will spend $7-$10 on b-fast entrees), but it's worth the extra dollars for better quality ingredients and interesting menu items. {Note: This isn't the same owner as the other Breakfast Clubs around metro Detroit, but they have a very similar menu.} Enjoy your meal!

I went here this morning because of all the great reviews. I thought it was okay. The parking was horrible! It took awhile to find a spot. We arrived at 12:30pm and only had to wait for about 10 minutes to be seated. However, we waited around 10 minutes for our server to find us and then 45 minutes (!!) for our food to arrive. Nobody came over to say anything about the delay. Our food was ok. I got the eggs benedict without hashbrowns. Someone mentioned something about the hollandaise being out of a package and I agree. It didn't taste homemade. The fruit on the side was good. My friend ordered the pecan banana pancakes and she liked them. The absolute best part was at the end. The strawberries dipped in chocolate! Yum! I would go there again and try something else but only if there was no line.

I'm always searching for a great breakfast place and I've definitely found one! First of all, the food was great. The kids loved the generous portion of blueberry pancakes and I loved that they were whole grain! I had the signature French Toast. The serving is huge and the mixture of cinnamon role and Texas toast gave it just the right consistency. The streusel topping didn't hurt eitherTheMe husband had the spinach, tomato, and feta omelette which he said was tasty. Next time Ill have to try something else off the extensive menu. The Breakfast Club has a nice open dining area. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. And the chocolate covered strawberries with your bill is a nice touch. Reasonably priced and quality ingredients.

For starters be forewarned that the menu at The Breakfast Club is huge. In addition the massive menu there were also several inserts or special sheets so be sure you look at everything. We walked in at about 945 on a Sunday morning and weren't hopeful as the parking lot was packed, however, despite the packed parking lot there were plenty of open tables and we walked right in and sat down (the restaurant is surprisingly big on the inside). We were given coffee and water right away and given a few minutes to look at the menu. After a while the waitress came over so see if we were ready. My girlfriend was torn between several dishes and asked if the waitress had any suggestions or favorites. The waitress then blew our minds by telling us that her favorite was the Bananas Foster which wasn't on the menu but she highly recommended. I ordered the Greasy Spoon skillet to which I added bacon and sausage to for two dollars. Our food was fantastic. The Bananas Foster was incredible and I believe has become my girlfriends new addiction and my scramble was amazing. It came loaded down with a staggering cheese and meat (a truly impressive amount of bacon and sausage for being a two dollar add on) and was everything I hoped it could be. We'll definitely be going back and recommending it to our friends.

It's always good food. Today the petite woman who sat us never smiled and bossed us around a bit. Our server was Regina who was attentive and kind. However, her verbiage was funny when she said "do you want the chocolate covered strawberries? They come with the meal..." Um, yes we do-duh. Just bring them, they're included and delicious!

Holy crap this is breakfast as good as it gets! I would compare it to the Bongo Room in Chicago as the best breakfast I've ever had. I go here every time I come to Michigan. It's like Grandma's cooking but on crack. Like Grandma's food after attending culinary school.

Sorry, but I was not that impressed. I had some extra time to kill on a trip from a job site to visit my daughter at MSU and pulled off on to Grand River and cruised down the street. I am not a fan of the corporate places if there is a local owned place available. So I passed Panera, Big Boy etc and came across The Breakfast Club next to a Tattoo parlor. Very nice inviting place, all tables. The coffee was served quickly and I sipped while looking over the extensive menu, A very good selection of breakfast staples with their own twist. I chose the Wild West Omelet, It was pretty good with the highlight being the excellent cheddar cheese, I would have liked a little more ham , but all in all a good omelet. The hash browns with it were very basic, grilled crisp on the outside and kinda mushy on the inside, so-so. I also order a side of corned beef hash.... BIG let down. They prepared it a little different then most places. The potato's were about 1/2" square deep fried cubes and the corned beef was thin sliced pieces. I am guessing they were tossed in a skillet to warm them up and then served. The potato's were marginal at best and carried no flavor of the beef. The corned beef was dried out and not very tasty. The only plus was it was not loaded with salt. The service was good and the bill was $14.40 plus tip If I was in the area I would give them another try, but I would not make a special trip.

Had breakfast here this morning. Seems like quite the spot with lots of local business meetings/breakfasts. Personally had the yogurt parfait and it was delicious. My friend had the blitzes which were just as amazing. Will definitely eat here again!

Yuck. :)
