Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is probably the best tasting pizza delivery restaurant around Brighton area, this is our go to place whenever we don't want to cook and just crave for some meaty pizza. I wound say 90% of times this place can keep its standards and delivery an excellent pizza, of course the 10% of disappointing experiences did not stop us form coming back. I gave it a 5 star because the current rating is way too low, this place should have a 4 star on yelp.

The only reason this doesn't get 1-star is that I'm hopeful it's not this bad all the time. First time here. Ordered an extra cheese and pepperoni pizza. Time for pickup was very optimistic, leaving me waiting in their lobby an extra 10 minutes. The actual flavor of the pizza wasn't bad, but how do you literally ruin a pizza by overbaking it, when it goes into a timed rolling oven? I attached a picture of the burnt mess. Literally black edges. And the cheese far passed the melted stage and formed into a single greasy piece again. Very disappointed. But I will give it another shot someday... And lower the rating to a never-to-return 1-star if the service and quality remain the same.

We ran a premium pizza joint in Ann Arbor and I gotta say that this is some fantastic pizza ! We ordered from our hotel room and were very pleased with the quality and promptness. Will order again when we are in the area.

There is a dearth of good pizza places in the South Lyon/New Hudson area. All it is is chain pizzas, local joints with crap ingredients, and more chain restaurants. I realize Guido's is also a chain, but finally this is a local, chain restaurant with decent ingredients. The service is always nice, the food is good and I'm actually getting pizza that I'm pretty happy to eat. Get the fire roasted spicy sauce for a little extra kick. It completely made the pizza for us and was great. We will be trying the chicago-style deep dish soon and hope that's a success as well.

The food here is very mediocre. We ordered the pasta and it is supposed to come with bread. When we got it the pasta was burned and the bread was raw. When I told them the bread was raw, they did not offer to replace it, refund any money, or even just simply apologize. Go somewhere else.

The pizza looks great, but that's about all I'd be able to tell you about it. We've tried to order pizza twice for delivery and both times it never showed up. The first one was last Valentine's Day (2012). We were told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, we finally called and canceled. We were told the driver was just leaving the store with our pizza. No thanks. We should have learned our lesson, but decided to give them another chance tonight, a year and a half later. We were again told 45 minutes. This time I called after an hour and 15 minutes to see what the status was and was told that they hadn't even started cooking it yet. Seriously? I'll give you a pass if you're overly busy on a holiday, but on a random Wednesday? The employee answering the phone tonight was incredibly rude and hung up on us when we asked to speak to a manager. We called back and asked again. He told us that if we call back tomorrow and they're not busy, he'd make us a pizza for free. Yes, because that is going to help me tonight when I have 2 children screaming because they're hungry and nothing prepared to feed them because I was planning on pizza. We again asked to speak to the manager and this time the employee told us that the manager was too busy. I can't imagine how a place like this manages to stay in business. At least stop taking orders if you're swamped, don't tell people 45 minutes then not even call them to tell them the change in time, especially when people are counting on you for dinner and don't have anything else to eat. We've tried it two times now with the exact same result. This time was our last time.

Best pizza around

I'd rather give these guys my money than some corporate pizza chain any day. They are super friendly and use quality ingredients. Make sure to try the subs... they're awesome!

Never tried them. Waited over an hour for delivery (wouldn't have ordered knowing that). The pIzza was luke warm at best and the famous sauce? not all that great. I ordered cajun crust or did I, couldn't tell because it was flavorless. The people who give them rave reviews are most likely related to someone, or are someone who works there. I will let everyone know my experience so they don't make the same mistake I did.

Meat lovers deep dish with a side of the cream cheese dip... About as good as pizza can get!

Best thin crust pizza in Brighton with the best deep dish going to Jets. I've gone to Guido multiple times for fresh ingredients and good service you don't necessarily find at bigger chains. Thier garlic crust is delectable and their sauce has a distinctive flavor about it. This is a quality place to go for a good pizza when there's no time for cooking something.

Saturday night...they said 45 minutes on the phone...pizza was here in 39 minutes...pizza and boneless wings were amazing...seriously. if you like a good round pizza with curled up pepperoni and great sauce and a perfect amount of cheese and you live in brighton, just try it...oh and did I mention that the wings were awesome?
(5)Justin S.
Great pizza! Watch hidden cost like extra cost for "premium toppings" $2.50 extra for feta cheese? Other then this good food!
(4)Danielle H.
Waited...waited....waited. Called to see where our pizza was at after an hour and was told it was just coming out of the oven and say someone 'new' must have told us it was going to be an hour. Usually they're on point. Cancelled our order

I am from Chicago and here in Brighton, MI visiting family. (Only said because I am jaded when it comes to pizza.) Guido's does pizza justice and is one of the best I've had in Michigan (again, remember the jaded comment.) We ordered a large specialty, bread sticks and cin. sticks. The pizza was packed with toppings and very tasty. The sticks were also very good. In addition, everything was well priced\ for what it was (and today's economy.) Thanks, guys. Keep up the good work!

Got carry out pizza from here tonight. Been looking for a superb Detroit style pizza without having to drive to Detroit or even Buddy's in Livonia. Decent pizza, but just like the chain Jet's and Papa Romano's. Nothing special, wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. $10 for $20 deal at least made it worth while.

Love this pizza and the yelp deal is awesome!

This isn't premium nor gourmet as it is also listed. Just another low grade Michigan pizza. High sugar white bread dough with cheap low quality cheese and toppings. Conveyor belt oven. If you see a conveyor belt oven, it is an obvious sure sign this is just another Michigan junk food pizza. But when 98% of pizza places in Michigan serve junk, the community likes junk. If you gave them a quality pizza from Detroit's Pizzapapolis, Supino or Lansing's Delucas they will hate it. Quality pizza requires a minimum of 4 things: A real pizza oven, a Hobart, and all fresh never frozen toppings. And last but not least seating.

Had the eight piece "Boss" deep dish last night. Outstanding sauce! The crust was good as well. I've lived here for 14 years, and just recently tried Guido's for the first time. I wish it wouldn't have taken so long to discover this place!

The garlic cream cheese was really good and unique. The thin crust was yummylicious! Customer service was great. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Pretty tasty traditional round pizza. Deep dish is just okay. I prefer Jets in that category. The sauce is unique and zesty.

Guido's has won the best pizza at the Brighton Summerfest 2 years running. There is a reason for this. It's because they aren't scared to use awesome sauce. Other pizza places scrape a thin layer of vague tomato based lubricant over the crust. Then they top it with accountant measured pieces of low grade meat and questionable veggies. Guido's is not so. They have a unique, robust flavor to their sauce with hints of smokey goodness. Fresh, premium toppings are piled on until the pizza can't take no mo'. Then they cook it. Then they bring it to you. Then you eat it. And it is delicious. I recommend their salads and hotwings as well.
