Burgers
Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Most burger restaurants in the United States often serve hamburgers with French fries and other condiments. If you have a liking for burgers in the United States, then you won't be disappointed. Disappointed that son cannot eat here as he has allergies to soy, dairy and gluten. Although they have an OK gluten free menu, the presence of soy is everywhere (including the soy oil the fries are cooked in). At least I had a great Michigan craft beer! Server (Laurel) seemed put off by my ingredient questions and was not at all helpful. I think she was glad we left without ordering food.

Had a turkey burger on wheat bread... Amazing. Also ordered a side salad it had cranberries and pineapple on it I was a bit skeptical when it came out and I tried it. SOLD... It was delicious! Service was great Haley was very attentive and very friendly.

This place just hits a home run at every bite. I was especially pleased with our latest experience of both service and food at this location. You can't beat a delicious burger built and cooked the way you ordered it. My go to 4oz. patty w/cheese on pretzel bun paired with a side of hand cut fries was fulfilling and exactly what I had a craving for. We didn't drink this time but would normally glow at the selection of craft beer. Logistically I am happy they still use the complete your own slips method as opposed to the electronic entry via waitstaff. There's something about the decision process of toppings, bun type and sides that add to the experience. We had a short wait of under 10 min. for our party of two on a Friday at 7 which didn't seem bad compared to the other restaurants in town.

Nice open restaurant but burger was mediocre. Out waitress was the best part of our experience. Soggy fries. Red robin has the burgers in Brighton

so here I was... looking for a Saturday night meal to share with some fine companions. Next thing I know, the worst excuse for spinach artichoke dip is entering my mouth and I just couldn't help but wish all of this was over. looking for some sort of redemption, the chips and burgers traumatized me in a way I may just never recover from

Decided to try Bagger Dave's for the first time on Labor Day and we ended up walking out. I usually don't bash restaurants in reviews because I have worked in the industry my whole life and understand mistakes and problems come up all the time, but sitting for an hour and fifteen minutes with no food is a big one. We were seated promptly, had our drink order taken, and liked the different burgers on the menu and were very excited to try out the food. We were informed by the server that things were running slow and it MIGHT be a couple minutes longer to get our food than usual. The restaurant was barely a quarter full so we assumed five-ten minutes longer max. After 30 minutes our server came by and said it will be about 5 more minutes and didn't even offer to fill our now empty drinks. Okay no problem we understand things happen, someone didn't show up, etc. After another 45 minutes of waiting and our server AWOL, we decided to leave. We really didn't even get a sorry or explanation from the server as we were seen leaving. It was our first time here and I was excited to try a burger, so it was a shame having such a bad experience. Mostly likely would not go back.

Went here for lunch the Saturday before Christmas and had a poor experience. We had no silverware, drinks took a while to come out and when we finally received our medium burgers they were beyond well done to the point that it was too dry to eat. I informed the waitress who did not apologize. Later she came back to the table and stated that they had a new press they were still getting used to. They were not busy when we were there and l know understand why.

We visited on 11/29/14 and were greeted and seated promptly, drinks and food were ordered, and then our waitress, Hannah, disappeared after bringing the bill. What if I wanted another beer or another whiskey on the rocks for my partner? After waiting for twenty minutes, we left our table and tried to check out at the front desk where I assume they do carryout. The first person told us they couldn't check us out because they were a host and went to find our server. I explained that I didn't want him to find the server, I just wanted to pay. The women who was standing nearby ended up helping and cashing us out, explaining that there was a 40 top coming in. While I understand that a group of that magnitude is significant for a waitress in tips for the next hour, I also expect her to remember that she has other tables. The food was well prepared, seasoned appropriately and the Right Brain Stout and the Traverse City Bourbon were both excellent additions to the food.

I've been here a few time and been happy with my food and service. Keep makin' good stuff :)

Haven't been to this location in a while. Service was awful. 15 minutes to get drink order, had to go ask for a server, 40 minutes to get food. Not that busy, lots of servers standing around. Burger was well below average. Looked like a frozen patty and had no flavor. Fries undercooked. Mac and cheese terrible. Won't be back here again.

Great burger build your own burger was excellent. Good toppings fresh ingredients. Fries were tasty. Wait staff was very friendly and fast. Manager clay j was very nice and professional

Really expensive lunch today. Totally worth it. Prime rib burger is awesome and cooked perfectly. Built in rewards program is a plus and our server was really attentive.

First time at this location. We walked in and were seated quickly. I did notice the place was quite empty for 6:30 at night. Even though we were looking over the menu it took our waitress 5-10 min to make it over to our table. As my husband was looking over the beer menu he asked what was on tap for the "managers special". She replied then went into a lengthy explanation of not only what was on tap but what each beer was (waste of time). We are avid beer drinkers we know what a stout is. After that he settled on the Train Wreck (which he's had numerous times) she then started lecturing him on how "hoppy" this beer was and how "high" the alcohol content is so he probably shouldn't drive after. I almost had to pick my jaw off the table. Not only did she act like this was our first time drinking beer "ever" you try to talk a customer out of drinking one? The burgers were nothing special. I got the 4oz and it was medium rare inside. I ordered medium and the patty is very thin. I ate it since a little red doesn't bother me.. It's just a sign of a bad cook. My burger also had 5 pounds of lettuce on it. Basically all I could taste. We go to the novi location all the time and honestly, it's much better. It's always packed. The waitresses here need to know the different between being helpful and pretentious. If a question is asked just simply answer it. Keep your opinions to yourself.
(2)Kevin N.
The only other location I've been to is Novi, and it's like night and day. Where Novi gives you a small form and pencil for doing build-your-own, the waitstaff in Brighton want you to rattle it off. I thought it seemed like an easy way for mistakes to be made, and sure enough, what I got wasn't what I ordered. Because the food took a long time to arrive, and what I received at least resembled what I had ordered, I didn't bother to complain. I also didn't complain about getting a small pack of cold, 2" long remnants of french fries I received for a $3 upcharge, or the fact that I ordered my drink with no ice -- a request that was ignored twice. I guess now I'll complain, and that way, instead of getting placated with a coupon or free dessert, I can let my experience serve as a warning to others.

I stopped by for dinner a few nights ago, and got a great burger. I'm sure that 90% of people order the BBQ Bacon Burger, but I strayed off the beaten path and ordered the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Turkey Burger. It was really stinkin' good. I also like how I now have the option of ordering fries or chips a la carte. Sometimes the burger is all I have room for, so it's nice to have the choice. By the way, the sweet potato chips with honey cinnamon dipping sauce is like getting dessert with your meal! Lastly, I really appreciate that Bagger Dave's chose to sell Michigan-made sodas instead of Coke or Pepsi. It's a unique experience, and I feel better about supporting local businesses.
(5)Michael S.
I really like this place. The management really bends over backwards to make your dining here a pleasant experience, including expediting your order!! Jody is our favorite waitperson and she is a true professional. Great Caesar Salad and I didn't know a burger could taste this good!! I build my own Olive Swiss Burger. They have an excellent and ever changing selection of draft beers! This is a family friendly establishment and we have always be treated very well!! Try the "Garbage Burger" if you are really hungry!!

I visited for lunch today for my first time. I had not read the reviews prior to my visit, but had driven past it several times. I thought it was a "Five Guys" kind of place, so I was pretty surprised to find a family bar type of environment. My waitress, Auriel, was a peach. She was exceptionally friendly and had answers to all my questions. I was in the mood for a big juicy hamburger made medium rare (yeah, I know they're not allowed) like Champs in Livonia. I got the 4 oz burger which had a good flavor, but it was far from big and juicy. It is an A-ok burger in a very nice bar type atmosphere. I enjoyed the train going around the ceiling like at Station 885 in Plymouth. The menu was mostly burgers and you can build your own. They also had chicken and something else you could substitute. I thought I might go into withdrawal shock when she told me that they do not have Diet Coke or Pepsi. They have their own brand. I was surprised that it was quite good and I did get free refills. As is my pet peeve in bars, several people were standing right at the back door smoking. Isn't there a law that they need to be a little bit away? Had I known, I would have used the front door and walked to the back parking lot. I would recommend it for a burger and brew or a Diet Cola.

Wife and I stopped in because being a burger tavern you'd thing they would be great burgers. Well they don't hold a candle to In-N-Out burgers in CA. They are avg at best. We'd rather go to a local pub/tavern and get a good juicy burger off a seasoned grill. My wife ordered a Gin and Tonic and the Ball canning jar they serve their drinks in was to big and the gin was drowned out by the tonic so she ordered another shot so she could taste the gin. Why is it that an establishment that serve liquor can't make a drink so you can taste the alcohol? The good part of this visit was that my Corona with a lime was great and the server was pleasant. Probably won't be visiting a Bagger Dave's anytime soon. Reason for the vey loud tip is because we sat on patio next to road and we couldn't believe the amount of traffic in this small town but it was cool sitting out there.

I was really expecting a fabulous burger but received an overcooked product that lacked flavor. The patties actually looked like McDonalds' regular hamburger patties. There was more lettuce than meat, though it was fresh and crisp but excessive. As with any great burger there should be a great pickle. What got was again very fresh and crisp but about the size of my index finger. The interior looked fresh and inviting with great wait staff, excellent brews, and easily viewed television locations. I will return for the beer, as I love microbrew but will have to try something else on the menu other than a "Legendary" burger.

Been here several times. Place isn't bad, but can be hit or miss. I've had servers that are really friendly and good, and at other times I have had servers that don't seem like they wanted to be there. The food is OK, burgers are decent. Fries are good. I like the little cards on the table where you can fill out your burger, it's handy. They have a train that goes around the restaurant, which is great for my little one. Stopped going here more after they switched to their home-brew pop. I usually have beer but my wife likes to have a soda with her meal. We don't really drink much soda at home so it's kind of a special treat. After they made the switch she ordered a diet coke and they brought out their house diet-pop, which isn't good. But they didn't tell us about it... I figured it out looking at the menu and then asked the waitress. If they switched back to coke products we would probably go here more often. The patio is great in the summer.

Can't really say that they have good burgers as I compare all burgers & fries to Howell's Bar in Dearborn. Wondering why the waitstaff can't just write my order down like other places. Looking at the selection sheet was mind boggling. I just wanted a plain cheeseburger with fried onions & tomato but found out that they couldn't/wouldn't saute the onions. No reason given. Waited over 20 minutes before our server came over to take our drink order. At least we were sitting on the patio area so we could watch all the folks walking around Brighton. We did try the chili - nothing special or memorable. For what we ate, I feel that their prices are way too high & the food unimpressive. Definitely won't be back or recommend to anyone else. Waste of time & money.

Mention the word "allergy" and you'll be given a HUGE booklet with every. single. ingredient listed. I really just wanted to order a burger and go, but now I had a list I had to look through to make sure I wasn't going to inadvertently eat something I can't have. The woman waiting on me was super polite and friendly, even the manager came over to make sure I was OK eating whatever I had ordered (yup). I ordered a turkey burger and it was good. I'm happy I gave Bagger Dave's a shot, but it wasn't anything particularly spectacular. If I come back it'll be because of the employees and their attention to detail when it comes to my allergy, rather than specifically for the food.

First off I'd like to say I used to love this resteraunt but over time I've gotten really rude service or they have messed up the order way too much. I'd like to share my horrible experience i had tonight with my boyfriend with you guys. Well we had got sat down at our table very fast, very nice (main)waitress that had placed our order we waited about normal time for our but the lady that had brought us our food was not the lady that placed our order our got us our drinks. This second waitress sat in front of me my boyfriends order and then procededd to sit my order in front of my boyfriend & say "wow thats a lot of cheese"( which was 3 slices) as soon as she had said that my boyfriend and I switched our meals. She had this look on her face &then said to me "wow are you going to eat all of that?!!?!" And procededd to be very loud about how much cheese there was it was embrassing to say the least. I was very upset & it honestly made me feel fat (I know I'm not , but it still doesn't matter what size you are you should have to deal with rude service). My boyfriend had ate his very quick and I barely touched mine. After our main waitress gave us our check the 2nd waitress came back &said "Oh you didnt finish your burger!?!" To which i replied "no." She suddenly turned to my boyfriend and asked him if he finished his , he replied "yes because im fat!" She got. This look of defence on her face and said "now i never said that!" & we procededd to walk out.Oh let's not forget the food has gone way down hill you now receive these very thick burgers that that not even the bun can handle (very sloppy). So tonight was the night I'll ever be at any bagger Dave's again (I will also be calling \emaling them about this service). I recommended waiting a couple months for halo burger in Brighton to open in Brighton. If don't see my problem you would have had to been there

They have lots of Michigan beer on tap! I love this. This is basically a create your own burger establishment. Turkey or Beef. They do a great job on both. They have a open air eating area in the front which is great for Michigan weather and a bar area in the back. Middle of the place is family oriented and has a train that goes around the ceiling. The one improvement they need to make is to add a bigger beer size than the standard pint. Oh yeah, the fries are fresh cut and delicious.
(4)Dave C.
I think their burgers and fries are good. What I don't like is how they say they have a gluten free menu...when actually its the same normal menu just minus the bun...What a joke.
(2)Vince S.
We had a good dinner with our selected burgers and beer and the service was very friendly.
(3)Joan W.
Wait staff is great. However, the burgers are like glorified Big Macs that you can have your way. Seems more like a family place that serves alcohol.
(3)Susan J.
oh my gosh..... greasy, greasy, greasy!!!!

When the construction sheets finally came down and I realized we had a Bagger Dave's in town, I was initially indifferent. I had tried Bagger Dave's at their location in Berkley which was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I didn't expect but much better here but decided to give them a chance to redeem themselves. Came here for dinner with the girlfriend. She went with her usual Coke, I had the Short's Huma Lupa Licious IPA. I've had it in the bottle and loved it, on tap here it is phenomenal. Their Michigan craft beer selection is actually fairly impressive for a chain-style burger joint. Both of us did burgers. Her the single with basic toppings, me with a double and everything but the kitchen sink. They came out pretty promptly with an order of fries (one order is enough for two people). Burgers were delicious and the fries were not the soggy nightmare I remembered from my Berkley visit. I would compare the burgers themselves to something like In-N-Out, not the taste but the style. Small little patties and buns packed with whatever you crave. The fries are cut similar to Five Guys but actually have flavor and aren't food rats would bypass like the garbage at Five Guys. We've been here twice since they opened and both times the wait staff were awesome. Always prompt and checking in with you and you never feel rushed to leave. There's a patio out front we've yet to try, but I know there's a few TV's out there. In the middle of the restaurant is an assortment of low booths but in the back are some high-top booths with lots of TV's right in front of their bar. That's the place to sit if you ask me. Definitely give this place a try if you're on the fence, you won't be disappointed.
(4)Megan A.
The Staff is very unpleasant to deal with. The food is overpriced and average. I don't think I would come back, nor would I recommend this place/
(2)Claire L.
Love it here. New pretzel buns are to die for.
(4)Mike N.
I consider myself a self appointed burger connoisseur, and I was somewhat happy with this establishment. I think the reason why was the option to create what I wanted, because other than that, the burgers were just okay. I have been spoiled by having some of the greatest burgers like Hodad's and Rocky's Pub both in San Diego, and Schuberg's in Big Rapids. With that said, Bagger Dave's was okay. The service was very slow, enough that the table next to us left. If it hadn't of been for the fact that we were enjoying the company of our friends we might have also. 45 minutes later we received our food. They do have something going for them, there fries are very good, and any place who puts vinegar out for the fries is a winner in my book. The atmosphere was good, the Tiger game was on, and all was well from that prospective. Parking is mostly in the rear, but you have to walk all the way through the restaurant to the hostess stand to get seated. Overall, its not bad place to eat, just know that it could be a while to get served.
(3)Jay S.
Not impressed at all. Food was not delivered as ordered and no one came back to check with us. Service was poor. Menu is limited and not all unique. Red Robin would have been a better choice.
(1)Jason H.
This place recently opened in Brighton. What can I say, it's a gourmet burger joint (similar to the place down by the freeway) that carries beer from several of Michigan's breweries. While the selection of beer is somewhat limited, it's still great to be able to go into Bagger Dave's and get some of those great Michigan beers. The food is about what you'd expect from a gourmet burger joint, except that the prices are a little lower than what you might expect.
(4)Bill S.
Interesting place but Champs is still the place for Burgers and Beer.
(3)Jiggity J.
After reading so many good reviews, I figured I'd give this place a try. Got the sweet potato chips, tried the cinnamon honey sauce.. eh, wasn't really that great (esp. After having sweet potato *fries* with caramel at Yum Yum Tree) but wasn't bad either (at least the crispy ones). Anywho, this is a burger place, right? So I ask them to be cooked a particular way and I'm told you can only get them medium well or overcooked. Immediate red flag. I'm thinking A) what quality beef are they using here where they don't cook to order? And B) I thought this was a serious burger place since, you know, 'burgers' is part of the name. I declined on the beer, though, which may be where the flavor comes from? (More on that ahead) Onward to the burgers. Last I knew, medium well had a little bit of pink. These were well done as im sure all their burgers are cooked (seeing as how fast they arrived on such a busy night). I had the train wreck and my wife had the bleu burger. One thing I noticed immediately was the lack of flavor. Here I had just about every topping and none of it stood out at all except for the fries because they had less flavor than everything else. The bleu burger, on the other hand had too much flavor and was crazy salty due to the generous helping of bleu cheese. That's all you could taste not because it overpowered the meat, but because the meat didn't have any distinctive flavor of its own. The last time I had anything this flavorless was when my workplace bought burgers from the glamorous Logan's RoadHouse. All in all, I doubt ill be going back. Service was ok except for constantly being asked if I needed anything (even after paying the bill).
(2)Liz M.
We had to wait FOREVER to be seated but aside from that I was in heaven. I don't care if it is a chain, it is good. I love building my own burger and despite not being able to choose how it is cooked it was juicy and delicious!! We have also visited the Novi location which is smaller but not so packed on the weekends so we don't have to wait. I think once the newness wears off this one in Brighton we will be regulars.
(4)Kyle M.
I've been to both the Novi and Brighton Bagger Dave's now, and honestly outside of their effort to appear as a local business (despite being just another corp chain) and being consistently clean I'm not finding anything great about the establishment. From shotty service to horrible fries and insane prices Bagger Dave's will leave you wishing you stayed at home. Which is exactly what you should do. So, rather than dropping $35 on two mediocre burgers, two beers (priced a dollar more than most other bars), and a small fry (think a cold soggy small fry from Wendy's) go spend that same $ at the grocery store buying a few pounds of beef, a few fresh veggies and a 6 pack of that exact same local beer and throw your entire neighborhood a party.
(1)Todd D.
No waiting for Lunch. Waitress was great. Burgers were better than ok, but not excellent. Fries were excellent and so were the chips. Prices for food are good, but beer and other drinks, higher than the norm in this area. I was very dissapointed that the punch card program was discontinued. This restaurant has not been here very long, and I was close to having the free burger, but they discontinued it probably because patrons were getting to the point of a free burger. Waitress said not to waste time talking to management about it, as they have made up their mind and wont change. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended.
