Service is personable, professional and fun to be at. The food is consistently good. So is the option of boat docking for the restaurant

We had a great dinner tonight. The Whitefish was tasty, the ribs well seasoned and fall off the bone tasty. Our waitress and other staff were attentive and the view was wonderful from the upper porch.

We came for their Wednesday "Burger and a Beer" night, so everyone at our table got a burger. I can't speak for all of us (though I'm almost certain they would all agree) but the burgers were great! Nice buttered/toasted bun, burger was actually cooked medium as I requested, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. Plus, they have meunster cheese, so I was sold. And I'm glad Michiganders are fans of green olives on their burgers, because I love having some sliced olives to top it all off! The beers that came with the burger deal were not any that I was going to order: Labatts, Bud, etc. Bit for an "up-charge" you could get a bit better brew. I chose a Harbor Light from Petoskey Brewing Co and I thought it was great! I opted to just get the chips that came with the meal-others had raved about their sweet potato fries, so they ordered those for an additional charge- I was not impressed. The star of my meal-the Caprese Salad. Though it's a simple salad, it takes some skill to make it outstanding, and this was! As far as the atmosphere, while I can appreciate the gorgeous, tall, wooden ceiling painted with a compass rose, it made an echo chamber of the entire inside. It was LOUD! I was visiting family in Boyne, and we would have loved to have been able to hold a conversation around the table, but you couldn't really talk to anyone besides the ones sitting directly next to you. The outdoor seating is where I would choose to sit- I recommend a reservation. It was very busy (we waited 45 minutes for indoor seating) at 6:00 on a Wednesday night in the summer.

Solid, but not spectacular. Good wine list, with wide variety and many by the glass. Started with the calamari - done well, but a little skimpy at this price point. Had the pan fried perch with risotto and sautéed yellow squash. Perch was moist and well done. Risotto was excellent. Squash was a little boring - could have used some bell pepper to liven it up. At $25, seemed high - probably to keep it in line with the other fish choices, not because that's what perch costs.

It took a while but i like this restaurant. We tried several times to go and got stymied by a private party or a Monday or the time of year. But it has paid off The last several times I've been there the food was good as was the service. I recommend it

We have been here two times. All of the fish dishes are really good. We had the perch, salmon and walleye. Everyone enjoyed theirs. The appetizers were average. Calamari, fish tacos, tuna, really weren't worth the calories or expense. Wine selection and drinks were good. The service was a little slow and a bit disappointing. This would not stop me from coming back. Make a reservation so you can sit outside on the deck. Overall this is a very good place. 3 1/2-4 stars.

Firts time here. Food was good and so was the service. I would recommend. We had reservations and were seated outside at a nice table. We will be back.

Excellent lakeside setting. The service was a D...very poor, a un-attentive server was unknowledgeable on the menu and offerings, and it took over five -ten minutes to find her while trying to get our bill. Food was good but the total package is going to be a pass.

Up north yacht club which is open to the public. Salads range from $4 to $9. Sandwiches for $8 and mains for $16 to $22. Good food and even better that they have dockage on the lake. Wine list is ok but sparse.

Really impressed with this place! Visited on a busy Saturday in June. Made reservations and they were right on time with seating. We order the duck flatbread and calamari for appetizers, both good although the flatbread was a little weird. But we ate it all. For dinner we had perch and hanger steak. Both were prepared perfectly! I had the hanger steak and orbits served with asparagus, portobello and fingerling potatoes. It was delicious and I will order again. No salads or bread served but that was fine. Will be back! Great view!
