Went here for a private event. The room they put us in was way too small and we were all uncomfortably smushed in. Started with the salad, had great dressing and homemade croutons. Then got the filet mignon. I asked for it medium and it was over cooked. Still tasted pretty good. For sides we have mashed potatoes, really creamy and green beans. For dessert we had carrot cake. It was unbelievable and I usually don't even like carrot cake.

Great steak- and that's all. Went for an anniversary. Showed up for our reservation early and was able to get a table (clearly not slammed on a weekend night). I was carded when ordering a drink. I am clearly not 21 anymore and find that offensive when you're spending as much as you will here. The bar was out of ingredients. The lobster bisque has no meat in it and was served without a spoon (I had to wait for someone to come around). The sides were ok, steak was delicious. Our server forgot to ring in a bottle of wine and brought a second tab for me to pay. I've been treated like more in places I have spent much less than a night here.

Simply amazing!!... Sonya, our server was a gem for one! I ordered lobster bisque, 12 oz. ribeye medium rare, and a side of mac & cheese for dinner, and for dessert I shared the creme brûlée and bread pudding with a friend. There is not one thing I could complain, food was fantastic, one thing I would say is I did not appreciate the vibe I was feeling from the gentleman in a suit at the front door when we arrived: we had just come from a super casual event so we were dressed a teeny bit down and you could get the feeling he did not want us to possibly dine there - $500 later on a slow Sunday evening, I think he was ok with it ;) I love Cameron's overall, I always end up coming back for more!

The manager refused to intervene, after several requests, to ask parents of a shreaking baby to comfort their child. This experience destroyed our father's day celebration . The surly, nasty, arrogant, man has no business taking the title of manager since he most certainly has no managerial skills. We will never return as well as everyone we can share our story with.

There have only been a handful of times where I've had food and service be equally ON POINT and this was one of those times. We went to celebrate my lady's birthday on April 28th the lighting was dim and had a nice warmth. Our server, Jennifer, was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu items and made great recommendations. For appetizers the 3 of us had: oysters (half shell), seared ahi and spicy lobster. All three were outstanding! We each also had a Cesar salad (with anchovies) we are foodies and prefer the real McCoy :) For dinner: I had the Chilean sea bass. I could decide if I wanted it with capers on a bed of tomatoes and spinach OR with a champagne lemon butter cream sauce...SO I got the former and Jennifer brought me a small side of the latter . 1 fish and 2 great sauces!! Plantains! "It was bigger than bananas lol. I had a side of mashed potatoes that were creamy and delicious. My lady and her mother both had the ribeye...my lady ordered it medium rare for the first time and delighted in every bite! The only hiccup was my lady's mother also ordered medium rare but hers was cooked more medium. Usually when this happens, we would send it back to the kitchen, but we were incredibly hungry so she ate it but I urged her to at least mention it to Jennifer which she did.. The Manager Ava came and addressed us about the mistake, assured us that she shared it with the chef, she offered to remake it, but it wasn't necessary. She came back and gave us each complimentary happy hour passes for a free appetizer. Then she implored that we take a dessert which we did and then gave my lady's mom a $25 gift card for her next visit. Honestly, we just wanted to let the chef know that the food was incredible albeit the steak wasn't overcook (to medium) but Ava gave us THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. If for no other reason, we will be going back for the service but trust the food is top notch! If you're looking to have dinner for a special occasion, definitely go here and ask for Jennifer!

Amazing food and amazing service. Went for my birthday dinner and Tony was our server. He was incredibly friendly and attentive. I got a free desert because of my bday which was a nice treat and Tony made sure to make us feel extra special by giving us great recommendations. Great experience overall!

I like the cuts of steak that they have here. I also like the decor and ambiance that this place gives off. The prices are high but to be expected in this area of Birmingham. It's really worth checking out but be ready to spend extra cash (which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5).

For those that don't know Cameron's and Mitchell's are both owned by Ruth Chris. I took my dad here for his retirement dinner. It's everything you'd expect from a nice steakhouse. Great service, food and atmosphere along with the ability to run up a $300 tab on dinner for two and some drinks. Been here a few times and the steaks are very good (similar to Ruth Chris) and the seafood is on par wiith mitchell's. Everything is very good, just nothing to set it apart from other very good upscale steakhouses.

My girlfriend's and I celebrate the holidays every year and treat ourselves to a "nice" dinner out. 2 of us had never been to Cameron's and one had and highly recommended the restaurant. Let me just say that I was not impressed at all. Our waiter (Paul) was non-attentive and quite blase even. Dining at a restaurant of this caliber should be an "experience" not an fly by night occasion. Our table was literally on its last leg and wobbled back and forth as we ate. Paul was not very forthcoming in recommending anything and just kind of was "there" and again not really attentive. Never once did he check on us to see if we even liked our meal. I had the chilean sea bass which was pretty decent but I've had better. For a $75 meal this was definitely NOT a pleasant experience.

Really good time!!! My soon-to-be and I took our mom's here to confirm our wedding plans and our dinner was pretty good. The portions looked very small at first, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. We all ordered the Filet Migon and/or Shrimp. I am not a steak connoisseur, but the steak was very lean with practically no fat and very filling. I also had a white sparkling wine and the Strawberry Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert. The wine was a kind of a rip-off - I ordered the half bottle - the waiter should have told me to just get a bottle - the half bottle filled up half of one glass. Overall for four people, our bill was approx. $300 bucks with the tip and we had a wonderful time.

This is a response to Mister Vegas.... "Go back to Vegas" This is the ONLY steakhouse that is worth going to. Its the BEST. I never had a bad meal here but I've had plenty...and I do mean. PLENTY of bad BAD meals in Las Vegas thats for sure. The filet wtih blue cheese gets my vote -- it is phenomenal. The sides here are fantastic too and I usually have difficulty picking out which ones I want. They are all great -- the sea salt potatoes, creamed spinach, and so many others. It sounds excessive but I usually order 4 when I take someone there with me. The appetizers are great too. One other thing.... I had a blast when I ate here. The staff even came to my table and we met the chef and I personally thanked him for a great experience. Now, I didn't ask for this --- but I thought that was awesome. The bar menu is great -- and I went there many times and had oysters and drinks with my friends. Its a relaxed atmosphere and we watched the Tiger game back there and talked about business. I had the french onion soup and shrimp cocktail and they were prepared and presented beautifully. Whenever I want to have a great experience I always pop into this place.

So I don't eat beef, but my wife does. Whenever I go to a steakhouse, I get lamb chops or pork. I will say, the lamb that Cameron's had was cooked spot on. Not gamey. For all the steak eaters out there, my wife seemed to enjoy her steak plenty (though I can't comment on the specifics on the taste of that). Desserts are pretty delicious as well. The creme brûlée is made with fresh vanilla bean with a nice crisp cartelized sugar crust.

Birmingham is breaking yet another yelp hiatus. After the impeccable Steakcation Yelp event, I had to come again! I really enjoyed our experience at Cameron's. I love steakhouses and its ambiance, dim lighting, and the indulgence. Red meat isn't consumed very often in my world, so going to a steakhouse is a real treat. Cameron's is located on a lovely Birmingham street. We didn't feel like circulating around for parking- valet was a quick and practical option. The décor was impressive. All I remembered were mirrors, luxurious wood, and dark leather booths. I had the 7oz filet mignon, medium with asparagus and it was incredible. He had the bacon wrapped filet, with melted gorgonzola crust and a wine reduction glaze with a side of green beans and walnut brown butter. I will fast for three days to have what he had. It was simply luscious. Also, the competent and inviting service really added to the amazing night, such a lovely wine and dining experience.

I held a private dinner with a speaker at Cameron's and I was extremely impressed with them. I worked with Pavlina, one of the managers, to set-up the event. She was very responsive, flexible and professional. She also personally oversaw the event the night it was held. The room is attractive (not your typical banquet room) with stone walls, a window overlooking the restaurant, and nice lighting. A flatscreen tv is available (at no charge) for presentations. Three servers were assigned to our group and they were attendive and inobtrusive. The food was excellent. I'm usually disappointed in filet mignon, but the one I ate at Cameron's was the best I've had. I will use them again for events and recommend them to others for their functions.

This review is long overdue and is not based on a single visit, it is based on 12-14 over the course of 2013. Before i go into detail let me say, I am picky, sometimes to the point where it becomes unnecessary but it is what it is. The decor, cleanliness, atmosphere of this steakhouse are fantastic. I have been here for a dinner for 2, party of 8, thanksgiving dinner, sat at the bar as well as the high table area and the reason i mention this is because the experience may vary drastically per location, it is important to note that all reflect 5 star ratings. The filet, bone in filet, ribeye, bone in ribeye, bone in prime kc strip, always top QUALITY, the temperature is always spot on and in my opinion the best cut of beef you can buy in birmingham, mi. The sides, au gratan potatoes, asparagus, sauteed broccoli, mac and cheese, oh heck, close your eyes and throw a dart at the menu because it doesn't matter which you choose, they are all delicious! The desserts such as the Shark Fin and the best CARROT CAKE money can buy! Try them, its worth the calories, just make sure there are a few friends to share with, they are LARGE! HAPPY HOUR! enough said!!! The Private dining sales manager Pavlina does an amazing job coordinating large parties and ensuring excellant service with consistantly delicious food, just an overall wonderful experience, HIGHLY recommend if you have an important event! I think by now you get the idea, I love this place, it's the picture of consistancy and quality, if your looking for a new place to try, try Cameran's Steakhouse!

Medium rare prime rib steak was incredibly delicious. Well seared but tender inside with great marbling and wonderful flavor with no additional sauce necessary. That's the mark of a high quality slice of meat. Side dishes were delicious. Prices for the food, service and preparation were reasonable. Quite a good steakhouse as far as steakhouses go. A quiet and starchy crowd as well, but that basically goes with the territory.

With the new addition of our Baby my husband and I have created a new baby-free eating-out motto "Go big or Stay home". We tend to take our baby (Cameron) with us almost everywhere, however there are some restaurants we don't deem as baby-friendly. These restaurants are designated by asking myself, pre-baby if I was paying $200+ for a dinner would I want someone's infant strewing crackers all over the floor next to me? Granted your answer may be, "I never want that to happen at any restaurant", but this foodie couple had a child so it happens at 70% of the places we eat out at. All that being said, Cameron's definitely falls into the baby-less category. One of our go-to steakhouses has had the tendency to disappoint lately, so we ventured into Birmingham to try Cameron's (at the suggestion of a yelper in fact). The number one aspect to Cameron's that I appreciated was the service. Our waiter was very attentive, but not annoying and he knew what he was talking about. We ended up chatting about our trip to Napa and favorite wines. That brings me to my second like, the wine list. Though it wasn't as big as other places we have been the wine that was chosen for it was very impressive. One of our favorites the Sienna Meritage was on there so we ordered a bottle to enjoy with our dinner. I ordered the filet and my husband had the T-bone. Ok, you steak aficionados may want to hurt me, however I feel that once you get over a certain restaurant price point there isn't a lot of variation in steak flavor. Now I am not saying there is anyway to compare Outback to Cameron's however when compared to another $50 filet, I didn't see a major difference. Overall, Cameron's was a very good experience and we didn't walk away feeling like we missed anything. The price point is really high, so it isn't going to become a staple in our normal restaurant routine.

Cameron's is a solid choice in Birmingham with good food, and, in our experience great service. The ambiance is fitting for a steak house with large leather booths, pictures on the walls of famous people eating steak there and a cozy yet grand feel good for a date or a business dinner. Our server was attentive, able to make recommendations based on what other people in our group asked about, and generally knowledgeable. I ordered the lobster tail which was good, but probably a tad overcooked as it started to have more of a rubbery texture. Steaks that others ordered were great. The meat really shines here, while the sides are definitely just the accompaniment. All the sides were good (mac n' cheese, asparagus, scalloped potatoes) but didn't have the same love and attention that the meat receives. Desserts were ginormous. We ordered the chocolate lava cake which would normally come in a small ramekin, but was closer to a sprawled hand in size rather than a small fist. I would definitely good back when in the area.

The only thing worse than bad food, is bad service to go along with that food. This place gets along being one of the only joints in town, but it's antiquated, with below-average food. This was a business meal, so I made the best of it, but I very politely asked the manager to speak after the meal was over. He promised he would send the business folks a gift card to try the restaurant again, but he never did. This is after, no joke, about a dozen follow ups. What's worse than bad food, and bad service? Liars. GM of Cameron's, Christopher Rewald, is that liar. I can not tell you what to select here, as we had nothing of value except laughs at their inadequacies. But I can tell you NOT to try the Ribeye, French Onion Soup, Mac and Cheese or the Creamed Spinach. Hope that helps!

The mark of a restaurant of this stature is more than just food. 8 minutes into my first visit (I am in from out of town) we still had not been greeted by a waitress or offered a cocktail or a glass of wine. Once I spoke to the manager, a free cocktail, and many apologies followed. I understand mistakes happen. What happened next is absolutely unacceptable for an establishment like this. My guest and I enjoyed our appetizers (I had plump oysters and he the Wedge salad) before we were even finish our main course was brought. Right in the middle of a wedge salad they drop a Rib eye "to the side." Was he supposed to wait for it to cool so he could have a cold $50.00 steak or was he supposed to abandon his $15.00 hunk of Iceberg? There is nothing worse than being rushed through a fine dining experience. I found this faux pas to be embarrassing for the restaurant. Lastly, when offering, then bringing the check the waitress mentioned 3 times that the first round was on them as if to say "don't forget to give me a nice tip." Overall the Ambiance is great and the food was well prepared, but the service and planning has a long way to go to truly consider themselves among the best in Detroit.

Wow! Just had Christmas dinner here. And it was absolutely fabulous. There were 9 of us. We sat at a huge round table and proceeded to be wined and dined. The menu is short and sweet. They offered a prix fix menu which most of my family ordered. Several good options. My husband had the filet which was perfectly cooked medium well. He asked to have it butterfly however, our waiter Jonathon said it wasn't necessary. He assured him it would be cooked too perfection and it was. His prix order included a beautiful walnut apple blue cheese salad. Since he wanted the hand cut fries it was extra. But the fries were worth it. Also included dessert. He also had a shrimp cocktail and they were huge and delicious. I had oysters and carppacio. It was awesome. Our family had Lamb Chops which were tender and also perfectly cooked. Chicken, Stripped Bass and Scallops. Everyone raved about their dishes. The Scallops came with lemon risotto and it was tender and so good. The bread is to die for. And I was impressed that they gave us 2 bread baskets so it made it easier to pass around instead of waiting for it to come around and having to wait on more. Our bill totalled approximately $530.00. Tip not included. We also had wine, cocktails and coffee. I had the creme brulee and wanted to lick the dish. The prix menu included a brownie cheese cake and fudge with nuts and cranberry. That was also really good. I will be calling the general manager Monday morning to thank them for starting a Christmas tradition. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I would say this is a fancy restaurant. When I first walked in, it has this water fall right next to the entrance. If you want to have a anniversary or Valentine's day dinner here, this would definitely impress your date. However, where we were seated was so closed to other tables that i thought i was gonna bumped into other's table. We ordered lobster bisque, filet migon, lobster, and scallop. When i asked for medium rare for my filet migon, the steak cooked to medium. After i told my server, he was nice to give me another steak that was cooked perfectly. The sea scallop are just okay. It is the typical sea scallop you get from a fancy restaurant. Overall, they food are good, but i am not impressed enough for me to go back again. If you decide to come here, you expect to spend ~$50/person without any wine.

I went with a group from work. Everyone got steak. My filet was from the fixed price menu. It was a petite filet but it was overlooked for medium rare and not tender. The mini crab cakes were good. Not much filler and a lot like Mitchell's . The calamari are big, thick pieces with good batter but no sauce?.. Had the steakhouse salad with a nice dressing put on and mixed in the kitchen. The mashed potato side was nothing special. The Au gratin potato was cheesy but the potato was well done making it oddly hard The coconut pineapple bread pudding was a very wet muffin? The service was very efficient and friendly.

I recently went to Cameron's. I like the interior, it's very modern and cozy but not overly pretentious. I feel that Cameron's atmosphere is superior to Flemings. I sat at a booth and they are a bit of a tight squeeze, but comfortable. I'm always worried about pulling off the tablecloth getting in or out because I've definitely done it before and no one wants to be that person. Our server was very attentive but was not hovering at any point. For dinner, I had a 7 oz filet and ordered the broccoli and au gratin potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly to medium, as I had ordered. The potatoes were really good, covered in cheese and had a crispy taste to them. The broccoli was just alright. It was a bit undercooked and was served with béarnaise. I guess I'm not a huge fan of béarnaise but their sauce was quite flavorless. It didn't matter because I didn't plan on eating it anyway. The sides are definitely big enough for two people. For dessert, I got the carrot cake. I wish they would have warned me. It literally has to be a quarter of a cake, I'm not kidding. It was 8 layers or some ridiculous amount. I took most of it home because it was so large, I barely made a dent. But the cake was very moist and delicious. The frosting could have used a bit more cream cheese, it tasted more of buttercream than cream cheese frosting. But again, that's my own personal preference. Overall, really tasty meal. They have a great winelist and the service was attentive.

Service was great - food was just decent and my wife's steak was over cooked. Not cheap, and a lot of competition now in town for steakhouses. Still good, and better than Flemings around the corner.

Our new favorite Restaurant. Have been here twice and each time they exceeded our expectations. The steaks are great. However, they had a 24 ounce Australian lobster tail today. It was outstanding as it should have been for $100. Total bill for two with no drinks was $240 including tip. So it is a bit expensive, but definitely worth every penny.

My husband and I went to Cameron's on a date night away from our newborn and two year old. We were going to go to Fleming's but I convinced my husband to try something new. I definitely regret not going to Fleming's! It was a mediocre meal. For the price, you would expect tastier food and better service. The calamari was the worst calamari I have ever had. It was tasted like my two year olds chicken fries- very disappointing. The Caesar salad was so bland I had to ask our waitress if there was dressing on it. (Why so stingy with the dressing??) Our filets were good - but nothing to rave about. The dessert, bread and drinks were the best part. I enjoyed the atmosphere. We sat in a booth. All in all, if you want to spend 200+, spend your money at Fleming's in Birmingham instead. Cameron's is just not worth it!

Solid restaurant during restaurant week. Was bummed about the portions but I being a rw veteran knew what I was getting myself into. App: lobster bisque tied with the dessert for the best dish on the menu. The lobster bisque was pretty standard but most restaurants can't even pull standard off. So if you have a good lobster bisque then you earned your seat at the big boys table. Main course; filet 7 oz. A 3/5 at best. Maybe it was cooked wrong maybe it wasn't. I think I am not a steak guy. I probably won't end up ordering steaks anymore at restaurants. I'll stick to fish or something. Once had a friend tell me a good steak is one that you don't need a knife, your fork can slice right through it. I had to saw through this beast. Very disappointed. Also did I mention that you had to order side dishes cause they are not included in the restaurant week menu. Peeved at that. Restating my case: the steak was really hard to cut through. Dessert ! Bread pudding was delish! No more needed. To summarize I probably won't come here again. Not cause the food wasn't too good, but because it is expensive but has nothing "special" to offer.

One of the better Steakhouse resturants in Metro Detroit. I had the 11oz Filet mignon with shirmp and a side of broccoli. The calamari is also good. I like how the chef added hot peppers to give a different flavor. The ambience is great and the service staff is good too.

I have a tip for you and it involves saving money and enjoying good food. Got your attention? Great. CAMERONS HAPPY HOUR Thats all you need to know. Ok fine...I will give you a little more info. From 4:30-6:30 Monday - Friday you can get some extremely delish apps and drinks for $7. Crispy delicious lobster bites, full size steak sandwich with fries, calamari, tenderloin skewers, burger and fries...just to name a few. They also have some yummy cocktails for 7 bones as well (I suggest the blueberry mojito). The husband and I stopped by on a Friday night and the bar was dead. We got lots of great service at a very affordable price. I strongly suggest checking it out!

Appetizers were delicious. Steaks came out and looked awesome. Only problem was I ordered mine medium rare and everybody else ordered medium well. My steak came out and it wasn't very hot possibly waiting on the other steaks to finish. It was still good. We had carrot cake for dessert which is very very good. Comparable to J Alexander's!

In my opinion, there is nothing that makes this place great or horrible. It is a middle-of-the-road pretentious steakhouse. I did not have to pay so it was good. The steak WAS cooked well. I would not go rushing to make reservations here if I had to choose the place...it is just not special.

Sigh. This was one $200 meal that ate like an $80 meal. Let me start by saying I'd been eagerly anticipating dinner at Cameron's all week. First, a night with my husband and no kids is a rare treat. Second, we were celebrating my birthday. There were things to like and things to dislike about Cameron's. Ambiance was nice. It felt cozy yet lively at the same time. Staff was very accommodating, but a bit confused at times. One waiter came to our table with calamari that we hadn't ordered. Another came with asparagus when I'd ordered the green beans. Another waiter brought water glasses when we'd already been given water. But these things didn't mar our experience. What did was some of the food. I was really looking forward to the lobster bisque. And frankly, I'd rather have had Zoup's lobster bisque. It was very one-dimensional and not at all memorable or decadent like a good lobster bisque should be. My husband ordered a Caesar salad that he said was just mediocre. They served warm bread, which at most restaurants, is a great indulgence. But Cameron's bread was so airy that it was hardly worth eating. I ordered a gorgonzola-crusted ribeye, which was flavorful and juicy. The hand-cut fries were delicious! But the brown butter and walnut green beans (which sounded yummy) were undercooked and bland. My husband had the filet mignon and shrimp, which he liked, accompanied by the mashed potatoes and corn. Both his sides were good, but nothing special. At night's end, we were full, but we wished we'd chosen another restaurant.

We were at Cameron's for the Steakcation Yelp event. Sometimes you go to one of the Yelp events and you already know the restaurant. Sometimes you go to a place you have never been before and you less than impressed. But when we enjoyed the drinks and appetizers at Cameron's for the Steakcation event, we knew we would have to go back. I am not sure how we missed Cameron's before. We have been to several other venues on that street. So when we walked in, I thought, is this new? What was this before... So we sat at a table with some nice folks that we had never met before and we chatted as we waited for appetizers to be served. The wait staff came and we ordered bevy's from the list that was on the table. My wife and I both ordered Manhattan's although we are typically not Manhattan drinkers. Wow they were big tasty and strong. That was a good sign. Then the app's started to come out. One as better than the next. And Cameron's really put their best feet forward. The skewered steak appetizer was outstanding. The beef melted in our mouths. And in fact, everything they served was similarly spectacular. Now Cameron's is not Burger King. You can do some credit card damage in a place like this. But that said, it was so good, that I started thinking about family and business events that where Cameron's would be just the kind of place to dazzle the guests. We will be back. That's for certain.

I enjoyed my experience here better than my experience at Morton's. the place is really nice and we chose to sit at the bar. service was okay, pretty slow but the bartender was nice for the most part. we got crabcakes for appetizers, potatoes au gratin and fries and they were all decent. only complaint would be that the prime rib was done medium instead of medium rare.

Best steakhouse! Steak was cooked to perfection. Everything is a la carte. We had Mac and cheese and broccoli. Tasted amazing. The only downfall was the Zip sauce. It was too salty.

I have never been to a restaurant that has Silver Oak by the glass, that was a nice surprise. It is definitely a place to see and be seen and there are not a lot of those in the area, so it does have a fun buzz of local celebrities and people trying to hitch onto said local celebrities. I started with the Lobster Bisque which is a favorite of mine. My only complaint and this happens more than it should is, not enough lobster. Other than that, I thought it was good. I ordered the smaller filet and it was cooked the way I ordered it and I enjoyed it. It didn't stand out either way to me (very good or very bad), but what I expected. This was a business meal, I would normally not pick a steak place because for me, they all fall into the same traps: a la carte everything to death ensuring a very expensive meal, large family style sides of vegetables and starches and an expensive wine list with not enough options by the glass. This place does that, but it was still a good meal, I am just glad I didn't have to pay for it. To Recap: The Good: Fun people watching, good bar area, solid food. The Bad: Pricey, doesn't stand out against other steak houses. The Band This Restaurant Most Resembles: Muse, because the prices are madness.

Yes. Just, yes. I'm not sure what exactly reviewers are looking for when they whine that there is "nothing special" about Cameron's. Cameron's is a wonderful, traditional steakhouse. We made reservations for our second wedding anniversary, and included a brief note on our OpenTable.com entry mentioning the anniversary. We've been underwhelmed by most restaurants in Birmingham, so we weren't expecting *too* much. When we entered, I noted the decor. Clean, dark woods, etc. About what you'd expect. We were greeted warmly and wished a Happy Anniversary, which was wonderful (I honestly figured they'd ignore the note). We were given a booth in the corner and promptly greeted by our waitress. She was very helpful, knew the perfect balance having a fun personality without being annoying, and checked in on us just the right amount. I had a glass of wine, and really wanted the crab stuffed mushroom caps for an appetizer. However, I asked about gluten, and it turned out, the crab is mixed with bread crumbs. Incredibly, our waitress suggested that the chefs could probably make me a batch without the breadcrumbs! They were amazing, and I was so appreciative! My husband and I each got steaks, his the bacon-wrapped gorgonzola-topped filet, and I got the filet with sauteed mushrooms. We each got a side to share. The food was delicious! Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. They also offered us a free dessert since it was our anniversary! We got the creme brulee with fresh raspberries. Yum!!! Overall, I was very impressed. When you know you're going to drop upwards of $50 per person, you have certain expectations, and mine were all met. Great service, great food.

We had a large, demanding group. Bless our server's heart, she was so accommodating. We wanted Key lime Pie and they didn't have any so she went to the deli next door and got us a piece. The crab legs were fantastic. I really enjoyed. The atmosphere is nice and it was a great experience.

Found everything to be very, very good. Started out with the stuffed mushrooms which were solid. Not too much cheese and the right amount of crab. Followed that with the Chop-Chop Salad which is probably my favorite 'side' salad in Metro Detroit. The dressing is spectacular and the figs were divine. For my main course, I had the small filet, which was plenty for me. Got it medium rare exactly as requested. Flavor was spectacular, especially when combined with the bernaise. Wrapped up dinner with the cheesecake. It wasn't Cathy's (from back in the day), but it was solid, if unspectacular. I ate too much, but it was a wonderful meal. On top of the whole thing, the service was spectacular, the setting was quaint, and the company was outstanding. All in all, a great meal.

It was just ok. Steak, sides were not special. Nothing different to other cheaper restaurants. Dessert was so good.

I was from NYC, and I can say that I am not s picky person. I was craving for steaks so I went to try the Steak House with my girlfriend. We were disappointed with the foods and the prices. Starter: We ordered the Lobster Bisque. It was to salty, so it only tastes good with bread dipping in it. We could barely find any lobster meat in the soup. Main Entree: I ordered the Bone-in rib-eye. The steak was too thick, and that my steak has a big chunk of fat (way too big). Sides: I ordered Chop House Corn. Yes, it sounds fancy, and yes, it cost $7. But it was just saute corn in some kind of buttery soup. It was too salty, and too watery. Dessert: This was the only dish we really enjoyed. We ordered the Apple sauce Upside down Bread Pudding. It was really tasty, warm and moist. I would not go back again for steak.

I'm a steak guy. I like meat! I like to drink too. Cameron's is a solid place. Been going for a long time and it is consistent all around. Want a safe bet on a good dinner? Camerons. Want good drinks? Camerons. Want a nice scene? Camerons. I think it's just that it has maybe gotten boring though. Not much creativity for a place like this you'd want to see more after going there so frequently.. but like I said: want a solid place for dinner? Camerons.

Went for restaurant week. We had a couple cocktails at the bar and enjoyed happy hour appetizers. The food was awesome and for $7 a great deal. Then we made the mistake and moved to a table. We had the bisque, salad, and beautiful filet mignons. Everything we ate was superb, the service, however, not so much. Karma prevents me from naming names, but I felt like I was at a diner. It was truly a shame. It really annoys me when I have to stack dirty dishes and put them at the end of the table to be removed. the service did not fit the quality of this place.

My finace likes to find new fab restaurants for us to venture to, outside of our regular Ann Arbor area eateries, for special occasions. He chose Cameron's for my 33rd birthday. Reservations were made on OpenTable.com . We were seated promptly for having a reservation, but the place was dark, very loud and I will never understand why restaurants will have tables just outside of the kitchen, so close that you are in constant danger of wearing a tray of entrees. Of course, this is where we were seated. *Strike One* - bad table and ambiance We waited much too long for water, and even longer for drink order. Once the waiter returned for the drink order, we insisted he take the food order, in hopes of shortening the wait. We had an allotted time of 2 hours for dinner, before having to leave to catch a show. Unfortunately, this meant skipping dessert, since it was an hour between the time we were seated to the time we were given bread and butter, in anticipation of our dinner. (no appetizers either, trying to save time) For lack of a better term, it was down right gross to have a waiter that was so busy, he was sweating profusely, every time he visited our table. I was afraid he was going to drip on the table. *Strike two* - Wait and waiter While we waited, we couldn't talk to each other, as it was much too loud, and we aren't ones to shout. We watched the trays and orders come in and out of the kitchen and grew a little wary of all the dishes coming out and being placed in the hallway on stands, just being left there, then sometimes would go out to a table and sometimes back into the kitchen. The most disturbing part was the tray of dirty dishes right next to the stand with a tray of fresh entrees. *Strike three* - food I ordered Surf & Turf. The filet was tasty and cooked perfectly, but the lobster tail was overcooked and definitely not worth $50 for the plate, that did not include any sides, salad, soup or garnish. We didn't leave hungry, but it wasn't a good experience. At least they had Andes mints in the foyer on the way out to make up for no dessert, but felt like we got the hairy eyeball from the blonde manager as we left, for taking a mint.

When I am paying for steak (in Michigan anyway), Cameron's is the only place i'm willing to splurge. These days, high quality beef (The Hillers Own Aged Filet for under $9 a pound is amazing!) can be had at so many grocery stores, that if i'm going to spend 25+ dollars on a slab of grilled meat it better be something special. What makes Cameron's steak "special" is their grill powered by hell's furnace which can take it well above the 500 degree max temp of any home setup. This basically nuclear fuses their seasoning into the perfect meaty crunchy crust while leaving the core a perfect medium rare. As a FYI, I think this treatment works better with meat with a higher fat content. (Quick point of reference, this is still nowhere close to the best steak that I ever had at Bob's Steak and Chop house in dallas...) Finally Cameron's has the added entertainment of being cougar central, where you get a front row seat of the indigenous Birmingham species mating ritual.

Transcendent. That first bite of the velvet that Cameron's is trying to pass off as steak generated several thoughts all at once including, but not limited to ... 1. How am I going to explain to Deb how good this is without sharing too much of it? 2. All food that we eat from this point on will pale in comparison 3. I'm thrilled I didn't let the $43 price scare me and finally ... 4. I need to maintain an expression for the other diners that says "Oh, life-altering steak? Of course, ... I eat here nearly every day. I am not a once-in-a-great-while visitor who is overwhelmed by my good fortune." Wow, the bone-in ribeye (22oz) with asparagus and mashed potatoes ... hold on while I pat myself on the back for that choice. Incredible flavor and texture and let's face it ... one course of this meal was nearly 50 bones, so the fact that it seemed worth it was maybe the best endorsement I could share with you. Deb went with the 7oz filet, asparagus and mac-n-cheese. She shares my admiration for the quality, the quantity, the service and the ambiance. I noticed someone who reviewed Cameron's mentioned that it was dark, or dim ... and I thought, "Who wants to eat a high-end dinner in a place with neon lighting?" I thought it was condusive to a serene dinner mood and that worked for us. Everything on this visit for that matter, worked for us.

A-OK is a perfect description for Cameron's. Perhaps, yet again, I am biased having come from Texas where good meat runs rampant- that is until we kill it and eat it. Sorry, but that's what happens! I went to Cameron's for Birmingham restaurant week. I started with their Chop Chop Salad, which is their version of a chop salad. I appreciated their addition of asparagus bits within the salad, but otherwise nothing special, and actually a little watery. 2nd course was the filet. I was expecting a lot with it being a steak house that everyone raves about. It was unarguably very good, but again, nothing that lived up to the hype. Good rub, cooked the way I asked, but not very memorable. Even less memorable was their chocolate raspberry cake for desert. The raspberry sorbet was also watery, and the chocolate cake a little dry. Overall Cameron's was aa pleasant experience, but with all of the hooting and hollering people do about it, I expected much, much, more.

This place is great. A wonderful way to spend a romantic mothers day celebration for my wife and I. Service was great, but not excellent. Our waitress could have been more attentive to us on a Friday night. The food was definitely up there with other restaurants I have been too. The Filet oscar was deliciously tender and moist. It melted in your mouth and the crab topping was an excellent topping for it. The mix of flavors on each bite was simply exquisite. My wife's NY strip was just as delectable. Moist and tender to taste. Asparagus was crunchy. Mushroom sides were scrumptious. I would highly suggest going here for a romantic night.

I came in early and did not compete with the crowds. The mature and professional staff were very attentive. We had steak and seafood at our table. This included lobster bisque, large shrimp cocktail, RIbeye steak and Shrimp Scampi. The cocktail was served with a shredded bed of vegatables with fresh and large shrimp. The steak was ordered and served medium well and tasted great. The Scampi was served with rice. The scampi sauce was thicker than I have seen before, but had great flavor.

My first time visiting the restaurant, and oh my, I loved every minute of it. Me and my husband went for our 1 year anniversary dinner on Friday night. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we made a reservation and showed up at 7pm. It started to gather more crowds but we sat in the back booth so we liked our privacy. Starter: We ordered stuff mushroom and calamari for our appetizer. Calamari dish was better than anywhere I've tasted. I am sick and tired of buttery/oily calamari but Cameron's had a kick to it with jalapeno pepper and peperncinos. Stuffed mushroom was nothing to write home about, just okay. Couldn't really taste "crab meat" stuffing. MAIN: For main, I ordered heirloom tomato salad with mozzarella and capers. I was not in a mood for huge stake, so this was perfect. The mozzarella was so soft and meaty I was very very impressed with how the salad was put together. Juicy tomatoes, tangy capers, etc. in balsamic vinegar...mmm... My husband ordered $43 ribeye. The price didn't scare us, we asked what's the best and this it what the waiter recommended us. OMG so mouth watering good...I tasted my husband's and it was perfectly cooked. We looked for a chance to grab a bone and bite-in when no one was watching. For our sides, we had asparagus and wild mushrooms. To be honest, this mushroom side dish was better than appetizer mushroom side! DESERT: To finish the night, we had their HUGE 7-layer carrot cake. "No raisins, no nuts" dissapointed me for a bit but when I tasted the cake, I was very satisfied. I usually prefer cream cheese frosting over butter cream because I'm not a huge frosting fan, but their butter cream was not too rich, just perfect. The cake was super moist with bits of coconut in it, and although we were planning on just taking it home, we ate half right there. After our dinner, we were told that the cake was on the house for our anniversary...HOW SWEET! Throughout the dinner, all waiters/waitresses kept their eyes on us and we never experienced any unfortunate service.

Saturday was my second visit to Cameron's and again PHENOMENAL-really my favorite steakhouse in the area. The lobster bisque, petite filet, creme brulee all yum, yum, yum. Sooo, now I bet you are curious, why then did I not give them five stars??? Here is why: we went in and were told there were no tables available until 9:30 pm (we went in at 6:45) and that it would be a bar high top. We walked next store to Mitchell's, got a drink and used our Open Table app to find out what else was available in the area and WAIT, WHAT??? a 7:30 opening at Cameron's, so we took it, walked back over after our cocktail and were immediately seated in a nice cozy booth. So thanks Open Table, if not for you we would have been scrambling for dinner.

Well I struggled between awarding 4 or 5 stars, they almost received 5 but I try to reserve that for the exceptional. I will say our dinner was fantastic, the food ,the service the decor all top notch. We had the oysters Rockefeller, lobster bisque and Caesar salad to start and all were very delicious. My steak was the bone in KC dry aged strip (very special steak indeed). My wife had the Filet Oscar which she really loved beside the excess char. I believe that the smaller cut of meat like the petite filet doesn't need the same exposure to an 1800 degree broiler as the larger cuts. It was a very minor flaw in an excellent dish. We also split a side of Au gratin potatoes again, very nice. Cameron's really reminded us of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, this was funny because after dinner the waitress told us that Cameron's was owned by RC. I would definitely go back without hesitation the experience was terrific.

Went here with my family to celebrate my birthday a bit early. We saw Chris Draper that night here. The rare steak here was really rare and therefore more delicious. All the cuts of meat were cooked to perfection. Everything is a la carte. I recommend ordering off the little menu so you can get crab cakes, fillet mignon, and broccoli for $35 which is the low price for a meal here.

Without a doubt the best steak I have ever eaten! Ordered the 11oz filet with a Cognac PepperCorn sauce, which made the steak absolutely amazing. Was told to try the corn, and it did not disappoint what so ever! Boss had the lobster tail and also had nothing but great things to say. Excellent dining experience, my only complaint is that people were smoking in the bar area while we were dining. Was not overwhelming, but living in Cleveland, it was noticeable. As for drink menu, a widespread collection of single malt scotches, vodkas, rums, and wine.

Hmmmm. My husband and I went to this restaurant for our 25th anniv. We had been here twice before and had really nice experiences. We had a nice table and a waitress that was fairly attentive, but we didn't feel like she was watching out for us. My husband doesn't drink alchohol and I always measure our service by how well we're taken care of inspite of that fact. We ordered appetizers, salads, steaks, sides and desserts. I had a cocktail and a glass of wine. Our bill was not for the meak of heart. We won't go back. Service is what we weigh our experience by. It just wasn't fab. We'll go to Flemings or Capitol Grill next time.

This was my first time dining at Cameron's. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The ambiance and decor is both sophisticated and relaxing. For dinner, I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the lobster mac & cheese, both were excellent. The carrot cake was good...but doesn't beat J Alexander's. The service could have been better. Our server was a little slow and she seemed too tied up with a 6 top; maybe she was new or something...(or maybe Ann R and I had the same server) Overall, I'll be back. This seems like a pretty solid place.

This is an awesome discovery! I wanted to try this Steakhouse since 2010, when a friend of mind recommended it for a group gathering. Let me say that we we're all extremely impressed with not only our entrees, but also the servive was IMPECCABLE. I would like to say that we are a small group of restaurant lover's and we compare everything from desserts to wine! CAMERON'S stole our hearts gracefully! We raved about the steaks, and my wife ordered the Mac & Lobster dish, it was Rich and Decadent. I will definitely be back soon! If you and a group of friends want a beautiful restaurant to celebrate any occasion look no further.

I can't believe I have never yelped this place...ok, we all know it's expensive, let's move on. Appetizers are huge and any steak house that offers smoked salmon and chilled shrimp the size of my hand is doing well with me so far. Now, I never stray from the perfect filet oscar entree...a 8oz filet, topped with crab and served with asparagus....it's perfect and the last 2 times I was here, it was cooked to perfection. I don't know what kind of delicious rub or seasoning they put on their meat before the cook it, but it's enough to make you addicted to it like a crack pipe. My hubbs had a fabulous bone in filet that actually I enjoyed more than my filet, but damn, was it good! We just got a side of broccoli, and these sides are MORE than enough for 2...it better be if you are paying 7-12 bucks for a side. Dessert: chocolate lava cake....unreal delicious...pay the extra whatever it is to get some vanilla ice cream on it because without it, I never thought I would say this, it is bar far too rich...whipped cream doesn't cut it-you need both. Please dress up a little before coming here...not a suit and tie or a fancy dress...but it totally ruins the fine dining experience when people at the next table are in jeans and a crappy t-shirt, of course we all know these days un-properly dressed patrons are NEVER turned away, eventhou they should be. Bottom line-everything here is going to be good...everything looks good and it's priced for everything to be good...I reviewed my favs, and once again, I wish I could afford to go here more often!!!!

So far, the best bone-in Rib steak I've had in Detroit. Beats Bourbon Steak, Roast, and Iridescence easily. Cooked to a perfect medium rare with an excellent salt/pepper crust from high temp searing.

Just recently moving here from Los Angeles I have to say I'm a bit of a steakhouse snob. I was so pleasantly surprised coming here! Aside from it being a bit too loud, the atmosphere was fun! Our waiter was super nice and very attentive. I decided to have the roasted chicken which was very yummy! The bf had rib eye, which he likes bloody as hell, and they cooked it perfectly! And for our side I believe we had garlic mashed potatoes, which i couldn't get enough of! Definitely check this place out! You won't be disappointed!

This was my first visit to Cameron's Steak House and I wasn't disappointed. The calamari appetizer was excellent, the steaks were delicious (cooked exactly as ordered) and the wine selection was good (although slightly pricey). The lava cake with ice cream ending was heavenly (and enough to share). Will definitely go back again.

Over priced and under-whelming food. While the service has always been above average I've never been as impressed with the food as other local steakhouses. Prices are also much more expensive than other local options (and the food at Cameron's is no where near as good). The atmosphere is definitely up-beat and its a great place to people watch; however, you can get a better meal at a better price at several other local establishments.

We have had so many great dinner's here. I think the service blows most places in the area out of the water. It is a chain and I am not always prone to that... but I have had such terrible service experiences in the Detroit area... that it became too risky... Some times it is nice to go for the guarantee... Good cuts of meat, fresh and cooked properly. It is usually filled with some good looking people... linen tables... I like to request the booth in the back area behind the bar. tends to be quite and private... I know others the want the raised booth in the center to be seen. They also have great bathrooms. a big plus for me. nice coat check & valet service

So, there's good news and there's bad news about this place. It's mostly good news, but which do you want first? The bad news first, you say? Well, dessert was pretty ... meh. I had a creme brulee, which, you know, was good and all, but not particularly exceptional. Lovely caramelizing on top, but that's to be expected from a place that deals with cooking hot things. The creme itself was a little rich for my liking, but without the eggy flavor. My co-diners received lava cake as part of their prix-fixe meal (more on that later), which I personally thought was awful. It was sort of just ... too chocolate-y without any other flavor to balance it. Oh, and the coffee was absolutely terrible. Holy frick it was awful. Now, seeing as I've read in all the other reviews that the service here is great, I'll write my shitty waiter off as an off-chance. He was inconsistent, bouncing between hovering and then disappearing for extended periods of time and kept confusing two of the people at my table. However, the other waiters around us seemed competent, so I won't hold it against the restaurant as a whole. Now for the good news. The steak is incredible. I had the 14 oz. New York strip, cooked medium-rare, and it was perfect. Very flavorful, juicy and cooked to perfection. There are no frills here, just meat. If you want frills, they have an extensive menu of sides. I tried the "skillet au gratin," which I guess is a fancy way of referring to what T.G.I.Fridays would call "cheesy potatoes." No matter what you call them, they're delicious. They have a prix-fixe deal where you get a salad, choice of three, maybe four, entrees, choice of three sides and a dessert for $33. My father and uncle got this with the filet mignon, and they both expressed apprehension upon ordering it since so many restaurants are incapable of cooking a good filet. Well, both of them adored it. Warning: the portions here are a little smaller, because you're getting it for a great deal. They also did a great lambchop for my mom. Word of advice: if you get the lambchop, it comes in three two-bone chops, but the chef will cut it into six one-bone chops for you if you ask. Do it that way and it'll be easier to eat. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here, definitely enough for a four-star review. I had to knock off half a star for dessert (I know it's a steakhouse, not a bakery, but can't you just ship cake in from somewhere?) and another half for my waiter, who was bad, despite what I've read in other reviews. PS: The bathrooms are awesome. The women's room had hairspray and scope. How cool is that?

This place does a steak to perfection! After having some bad experiences at other nearby steak houses, it was a pleasure to come back here for how it should be done. The service is impeccable and food delicious. The one complaint I had was that they no longer have the calamari rings, instead they do the strips that look something like french fries. Just a preference, but did take something away. The drinks were great, simple and tasty. My boyfriend and I had fillets and they were very tender and cooked just to our specifications, presented simply and not with much pomp. We were there on the Wednesday night, which was pretty low key but that didn't mean that the staff slaked off. It is typical to have 2-3 waiters, so any problems/needs are quickly addressed. The bar was packed, but they generally have a good set up.

Our First time here, Just outside of the downtown Birmingham business district. Very nice upscale decor, about 1/3 booths the rest tables with a nice bar area. We had reservations for 9:30 on a Saturday night, we got there on time, but were not seated until after 10, There was no seating at the bar area so we ended up waiting in the lobby. Not to bad because of the great people watching. Very interesting crowd, young and old but all very very upscale and dressed to impress. I did not know mens loafers with no socks were in style again, but on this night they were ! Back to the food. Once seated in a booth we looked over the wine list, very nice but we were not in the mood, so very good mixed drinks were ordered at $8-$9 each. We had oysters on the half shell, excellent, fresh, no shell chips. The lobster bisque was also very good. Our entrees which we split were a 7oz fillet, very tender and tasty and the lobster mac and cheese, also very good. Only one piece of lobster presented on top , I was hoping for some pieces in the dish, but still very good. We did not order dessert, but got a HUGE piece of carrot cake for the limo driver , he said it was excellent ! While waiting for our table we saw several wait staff carrying food in and out of the front door. We asked our waitress what that was all about ? She replied that Cameron's, and the restaurant next door Mitchells Fish Market, were owned by Ruth Chris's and you could order off of each others menu and they would bring it over. So not quite a 5 star rating.... minus 1.5 for the wait and lack of lobster but .5 stars back for the great people watching.

The place is cool and the food is good, not as much of a scene as it used to be, kind of a good thing, I used to avoid it at all costs on thursday when you couldn't even move in the bar and we think were cool crowd is there. The service is pretty good and the food is typical steakhouse, and done very well, if you are looking for a good steak in Birmingham than this is the place to go. I must admit that I dont go there as much as I used to, but I still make it in about twice a month.

we were not so impressed with this restaurant overall. we had reservations for 7:45, and we had to wait for 15 or so minutes for our table to be ready, which is always an annoying thing to have happen. once we sat down, no one came over to give us water or take our drink order for close to 10 minutes. finally, a waiter came over asking us if our waiter had taken our drink order yet. we said no, and he apologized & got us water & our drinks. he was very nice. our waiter was serving the party of 6 at the table next to us. when he finally made his way over to our table, he didn't even acknowledge the fact that he was mia for so long, which would have made everything fine. instead, i was further irritated by this. i ordered salmon, my husband got steak and we split the creamed spinach. the salmon and the sauce it came with was absolutely disgusting. i guess i should have known better & not have ordered fish at a steakhouse... my husband's steak was good-he finished the whole thing. the spinach was also delicious. the decor and ambience is really nice, but after the lousy service, i won't be going back. i think its good to go if you are a larger party, as there was no delay in the table next to us getting any part of their meal.

Lousy food and service. We were the only table and right away they sat a 4-top of loud talkers next to us (the place was deserted)! The guy who cleared our tables was a slob and he reeked of cigarette smoke. We ate at 6:30pm on a Wednesday this week. Two of us. The waitress told us she gave blood an hour before we walked in and she was not feeling well. Then she spilled beer on the table. She also didn't place my Lobster order. So no lobster for me! So I ate the Steak Filet and it was not delicious- not silky and smooth like I anticipated. If you want a beer other than your basics forget it. No craft beers. I couldn't believe it. The lobster bisque was good mainly because they add a dollop of caviar on it which was unexpectedly cool. I would not recommend this restaurant especially because there are other steakhouses in Birmingham that are better.

Cameron's does steakhouse to perfection. The ambience is classic without being stuffy. The service was fantastic and personable. I went there pretty late (10:30 pm) on a Saturday night on a whim for dinner, and the place was still packed with diners. That's pretty impressive for anywhere in the suburbs. Mmm, the steaks were out of this world, and cooked exactly as we requested. I'm drooling as I type this just thinking about how delicious the food was. The wine list is extensive, with a fair amount of reasonable selections for those of us who aren't Birmingham executives. If you're looking for a quintessential steakhouse experience, Cameron's is it.

Cameron's Steak House is amazing and every time I'm there the experience is quite memorable. I'm talking top notch service and superior steaks. Extensive wine selection. I highly recommend bringing good company, having the gorgonzola ribeye with potatoes au gratin and a slice of cheesecake with espresso at the end of the night. Superb! Just such a shame it's in Michigan.

Without question the best steakhouse I've been to in the Detroit area, and maybe anywhere. Service was good. The food was right on point. Beyond the typical "meat and potatoes" steakhouse. They have a dry aged rib-eye, which is hard to find sometimes. They had a special potato au gratin with jalapenos in it that was absolutely yummy and delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Finished off with delicious dessert and a glass of Inniskillin ice wine. (On my next visit they of course din't have the potato au gratin w/ jalapenos... i really wished they'd make that a mainstay on the menu!) Cameron's Steakhouse was a complete 180 from their sister restaurant Mitchell's Fishmarket next door (ick!). The place was hoppin' .... Clearly this was the place to be in Birmingham on the night I went. It was a bit on the loud side even. I sat next to Darryl Hall, though I'm too young to appreciate who that was and my co-worker had to sit and sing his songs (while he was 3 feet away) before I really knew who it was.

Love it, love it, love it. They have absolutely the best calamari hands down. Cameron's has a really nice atmosphere and I have never had anything that I did not like. They also have a decent selections of wines that you can pair with your meals.

this is my favorite restaurant in michigan, hands down. i went there for my high school graduation dinner and my college graduation dinner. picture this: 32 oz filet mignon with a balsamic glaze and sauteed portobello mushrooms piled on top. served with yukon gold potatoes, asparagus, and other pieces of greatness. To top it off, go ahead and pay 16 dollars for that chocolate lava cake. do it. the ambience is amazing - there is a waterfall as son as you walk in, dim lighting, and the waiters are very well trained and very attentive. The food is expensive, I won't lie. But, it is beyond worth it. the amaretto sours are fantastic - i haven't had anything else there, but I can vouch for those. If it came down to it, and you had the choice between eating at Cameron's for one dinner, and having enough money to eat for a week, you know the right choice. CAMERON'S.

with 8 visits over 4 years we still are not able to go any further with the star ratings. every visit has a collasol problem ie: bad service, cold food, warm "cold"appetizers oysters, brown lettuce, over dressed salads, bad water service, bad drinks (goose on the rocks with olives) dirty glass dirty ice olives are bruised. i mean come on man! i did enjoy one visit when it was my party, a few people at the bar and the king - lebron james and crew sitting down for dinner. i generally share the table with a doctor, lawyer, wall street exec. and wives if we decide to go in a few weeks it would only be out of following an annual routine. we all grew up in bham, so it does make sense and flemings is no better.
