I don't know why salt bagels are so hard to find outside of Michigan, but they remain a local indulgence to seek out when I'm visiting. And Einstein Bros. is a reliable supplier of some salty, carby deliciousness. Pretty good bagels, okay and friendly service. The two register model is a little strange. You order your bagels at one register (oddly, before you reach the part of the counter where you can actually see what bagels they have in stock that day) and then pay at another register. Your order is prepared by a third person. I'm not convinced that this makes the service faster in any way, but whatever... they have salt bagels.

Einsteins is my favorite bagel place in the area, not that there are many to choose from. I'm a big fan of their Asiago bagel with garden veggie smear or their breakfast sandwich with asparagus and mushrooms. The biggest issue with Einstein is that they are grossly overpriced. Almost $6 for a breakfast sandwich is a bit pricey in my opinion. But otherwise everything is tasty.

This is the slowest most inefficient dining establishment I've ever been to... I don't know how they stay in business. Bagels are great, food is great, but the staff seem untrained and undisciplined in customer service and speed. Come here if you want to stand in a giant line while people bump into each other and forget about your order after you've paid.

I'm not going to elaborate too much on how annoyed we were with this location but here are some factual points of view - 1) Entered store at 11.54am - there were five people ahead of us. 2) Ordered bagels by 12.05pm. 3) Received food at 12.25pm. So we basically stood around for 20 minutes for three bagels and cute of coffee when there were between 5-6 people working behind the register. Sounds like an operational mess back there. Also they forgot to add my potato salad and pickle to the order. Def won't be coming back here since there's a better bagel shop nearby.

A quick bagel on the way to work or lunch pick up. Always consistent quality. Service is usually good but sometimes not great. I keep going back!

I was not expecting much when Mom and I came here to do some wedding planning, but we were both super surprised by how tasty our bagel sandwiches were! The Thintastic Chicken Pesto Panini was actually really darn good! Lots of juicy chicken, and great pesto flavor. The bagel is the worst part about it - they're fine, but they're not fresh out of NYC or anything. But since the actual ingredients in the sandwich were so good, we were really pleased! I think my mom had the spinach artichoke chicken sandwich, and she really liked it too. If you just come and get bagels here, you might be disappointed. But if you get a sandwich, you're in business. Oh, but watch out for the cashier who rings you up wearing his plastic sandwich-making gloves, then turns right around and makes your sandwich. DUDE! The gloves shouldn't touch the register, then the food! Mom actually talked to someone there are about it. They need to work on their food hygiene rules apparently. Also, everyone behind the counter seemed a little "not with it," just low energy and sort of confused about the menu. It's a shame, because the sandwiches are so tasty.

I love Einstein but this location is HORRIBLE. Really slow, not the greatest with accuracy or friendliness, and they do some crazy stuff with cream cheese. It's always just a blob in the middle, they don't actually spread it. AND they are always running out of coffee or creamer.

I wish I could give this location zero stars. I love the food at Einstein's but this location is the worst. I usually order a couple of bagels and a tub of cream cheese if I am out. After ordering and paying, it usually takes 10-15 minutes for the bagels to show up. I don't understand why the person taking my order cannot just hand me the bagels like all other Einstein locations and other bagel companies. There is also often an employee behind the counter who appears to be walking around and doing nothing. This location has lost me as a customer which means Einstein is not getting my business since the other locations are not near where I live.

This place does not get it - at all. I have been here several times, and the only reason I keep going back is because it's the only place on my drive to work that isn't "fast food" breakfast. The food is decent - nothing ground shattering - but the selection and quality is OK. Where this place fails is the service, set up and speed. I have parked my car, walked in and turned around back to my car here countless times. EVERY time I go here - even when it isn't that busy - I have a significant wait for my order. I cannot even begin to count the times I've been sitting around waiting for my order for 15 minutes, looking around at other customers in the same boat as me waiting wondering what the heck is going on, and trying to keep my cool. The employees here have ZERO sense of urgency and don't seem keen on working to get their customers out the door in a hurry. Also, the two register system is confusing and frankly sucks. Rant over. I won't be going here any longer - I'm just happy that other Yelpers have shared the same frustrations as me because it has driven me crazy.

I go to his location almost 3 days a week because its conveniently located at the end of my street. This place consistently amazes me at how many times it dissapoints me. I go in the morning around 6:30 am for coffee and there will maybe be 2 or 3 people there and they still can not manage to get me in and out in a timely manner. There is one women who works the morning shift every day and she greets me as if she is annoyed that I have walked in EVERY morning. There seems to never be anyone in charge to speak with regarding mistakes or concerns. There whole system of production is completely wrong. Having to go to one register to give my order and name and then having to walk to 10 steps to say my order and name all over again is a huge waist of time and consistently leads to very long lines, disgruntled customers and numerous mistakes.

this place is in shambles.. the only reason I go to this location is because i can walk from my house. I will now drive as far as it takes to get decent service. There is only 1 competent employee I have ever seen there. Management seems to be something no one at that location has ever heard of, pretty sure if there is a manager, he is tied up in back while the incompetent employees unwittingly take steps toward idiocracy. anyone looking to start their day off angry, this is the place.

I purchased over 100 dollars of food and coffee for a morning meeting. Later that morning I noticed two of the fruit cups had mold on the inside and the fruit was clearly bad. I took pics and emailed them to the customer care contact info provided on the website. Ultimately the store manager contacted me as I requested. He seemed not at all sympathetic or concerned and ultimately offered to give me a free bagel on my next visit. I could only chuckle in my head since he clearly did not care and the fact that I actually paid more for those two fruit cups than the cost of a bagel. But that was his "resolution." I never did return to claim that "free bagel" ha!! I will still frequent other locations at times.

As stated in a previous Review: "This place doesn't get it". I used to be a regular here, coming about every 2 weeks or so on a Sunday. Now I might go here every 2 - 3 months. The reasons being, they are ALWAYS out of a couple flavors of Bagels that I and my Family want in our Dozen Bucket. I got sick and tired of having to wait 10 - 15 minutes for Bagels to come out of the oven, or not getting what I wanted at all. I called their Corporate Office but nothing improved. Now when I do rarely go to the Berkley, or Southfield locations, they will be out of something I came for. Today I went to the Berkley location for the Pumpkin Crunch Bagels they advertise. The sign for these Bagels is in the window, and in the Bagel showcase, yet when I ask for them, I am told: "Oh, we are done making those for the Season" !! What ? its only October 26th, you're still advertising these Bagels in your Store, yet there not even Available ?? This place, and Company are really messed up !! I also had to wait 5 minutes for the Asiago Bagels, as usual.

I live within walking distance, like the food, and refuse to go. The staff never shows any care for getting your order done right, or quickly. You will wait a long time no matter how many people are in line. The last time I went, the guy behind the counter commented that "your nails are sexy." I'm all about a compliment, but this is way too creepy. If you want a job here and can answer 'no' to any of these questions: Do you care about your job? Do you care about customers? Do you care about doing things in a timely or efficient manner? You're in luck.

This place is definitely substandard. After I placed my order for a Bacon, Egg & Cheddar on plain, I watched the people behind the counter laugh about an inside joke and answer the phone twice before getting around to make my sandwich. Then, after the sandwich was fully assembled, a woman behind the counter wrapped my sandwich in foil, placed in on top of a paper bag on the counter, and ran to answer the phone. I waited another 90 seconds before getting my sandwich after asking a different worker for it. This place is NOT fast. All this, and I was the only person in line. Ridiculous.

I still LOVE the friendly, helpful staff at this Einstein's but I need to update my review with a serious concern: parents of young children often STAND their toddler on the counter at the register, while paying. I really like that this place is kid-friendly but allowing customers to put a child IN SHOES THAT HAVE BEEN ON THE SIDEWALK on a counter where food items are placed is unhygienic and a major food safety violation. I don't mean that the parent sits the child on the counter, I mean that the parent STANDS the child on the counter. If these were babies who weren't yet walking, I wouldn't care...but these are toddlers who walked through the parking lot. Ugh.

First of all, Oh no you didn't complain about that staff?? They are patient and friendly and know their regulars! Einstein RO is the Cheers of bagel houses! My kid loves it so that's why I do. If you have a kid you understand. And the coffee is fine. Geez.

Does it take an Einstein to make a bagel sandwich? Apparently, yes. Though overpriced and corporate, Einstein Bros. Bagels has always been a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. That all changed today, when these geniuses made me the worst breakfast I've ever paid for. I stopped in at 11am, and to second Jon W.'s opinion, Einstein Bros. again looked like the Donner Party had stopped in for an early lunch and beat it. I've figured out why this place is such a hot mess. I worked at one of the world's busiest Tim Horton's during high school (we'd have lines of cars stretched down the block during the mornings), and the only way we survived was by working our clearly delineated roles. Sandwich maker, front register girl, drive-through #1, etc. At Einstein, every person behind the counter takes orders, makes food, pours coffee and uses the register. It's anarchy. No one knows what's going on, there's no order, people knotted up everywhere waiting for food. A Hot Mess. So I walked in today, and unfortunately got in line behind the woman with two children under four who nevertheless need over-specific bagel orders, "Matt will have the spinach bagel, no not that one, lightly toasted, with ... wait, what kind of lox do you have? what comes on that?" ugh.), and placed my order with one of the roving counter-people. The turkey bacon avocado bagel thin sandwich does not, apparently, have turkey. A hyphen would change everything, but I ordered it anyway. After almost giving my order away, I left with my sandwich to-go. I unwrapped the damn thing at my desk fifteen minutes later. Apparently, she forgot to toast it, but it wouldn't take a 180 IQ to realize that you HAVE to toast a bagel thin that's coated with orange sauce (tasted like a poor man's thousand island dressing mixed with mayo). Completely soaked through, the bagel thin had the consistency of a wet diaper. Obviously, it was inedible. She also forgot the turkey bacon. So I paid $6.29 for one iced coffee, two slices of tomato and one slice of avocado. And a pickle. I'm a pickle eater, but this particular pickle tasted like it had been soaking in a jar of battery acid, not brine. Shame on me for hitting a chain? Maybe. But I won't make the same mistake again. Ugh.
