Mediocre at best. The sushi looked like minimal effort was put into preparation...poorly cut vegetables and sloppy rolling. They were very bland in flavor. Soy sauce was the saltiest I have ever tasted. The tacos were great but tiny and oddly paired with rice. Decor is pleasant and I wanted to like this restaurant. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

First off, if you're comparing this place to a big city restaurant, don't. If you're comparing it to all of Bay City... Well... I love this place. I've been at least 5 times since they've opened. I always get the sushi. They only have a couple rolls to choose from, which is disappointing, but they are very delicious. My husband and mother in law get the cooked dishes and have liked them. The restaurant decor seems a little bare... The waitstaff varies. There's a really nice, tall, young guy who is very friendly, and I enjoy when he waits on me. A couple of the other waiters seem disinterested in customer service... and that's not cool. I think this is still a work in progress. I'd like to see the menu have less traditional items and more "fusion" dishes. I'd pick this over Fusion 1 any day!

I'm giving this restaurant a 4 because personally I've liked almost everything I've had, with a few critiqes. The Malaysian Fried Noodles are my absolute favorite and a very unique dish for this area. I get Pad Sieu all the time at Thai Restaurants in the Flint and Detroit area, this is very similar if you add broccoli. Tasty rice noodles in a delicious smoky brown sauce, just enough to coat the noodles. I eat the Bibimbap, very good. Hot stone bowl with rice, beef, spinach, fried egg, zucchini and the best Korean sauce on top. The hot bowl cooks the rice to a crispy and delicious texture. Preparation consistency needs some work though. I've had bowls that weren't as hot as they should be and the eggs are almost always over cooked. It's delicious and I always wish the portion was larger or they had a larger available. I recently started trying the bowls, also very unique for this area. Great flavors, complex dishes and a great lunch on a cold day! Again though some preparation issues. Eggs should be soft boiled, I don't really care for a solid hard boiled egg in my soup, it should be soft, runny and combine with the broth to form a silky consistency. Also, broccoli was undercooked and huge pieces to eat with a soup spoon. Easy fixes and it would be perfect. I've tried the hibachi, steak and chicken, very nice. Yes oddly similar to Asian Express in Midland, but great nonetheless. Sushi, I've had one roll and it was tasty! It's not super high quality sushi restaurant sushi, but tasty. I've tried the tacos. My husband liked them more than me. Personally I think the shells need more of an Asian touch. Wonton wrapper shells, soy wrappers, not Mexican tortilla. The contents are very tasty though, especially steak. I haven't tried the Chinese since they have that everywhere else, but they have options there as well. Atmosphere, very clean and modern. Love that. It's nice to eat at an Asian restaurant that looks clean and trendy looking. Staff, amazing. Very attentive with managers even roaming to check on you and your experience. Nice touch. I'll be back, have already been at least 10 times.

I ordered the vegetable sushi rolls and sesame chicken, both were very good. The sesame chicken came with hot and sour soup which was out of this world good. My husband ordered shrimp fried rice and was a little disappointed because the eggs in his meal were slightly burnt. The hot and sour soup is the best I've ever had. The restaurant was virtually empty on a Monday evening and is nicely decorated. It would be a nice place to take a date or clients as long as it isn't too busy. The open tables would be a bit too loud to converse on a busy night. We will be returning.

Clearly one of the best Asian food places in the tri-city area. Provides a culinary tour of the southeast Asia and Japan and Korea.

Finally!!!! Bay City has a good asian restaurant again! Awesome service, cute atmosphere, great food. I had Malaysian Noodles. They were awesome. Little bit of kick, perfect. My best friend and mom had tacos. They had a mix of coconut shrimp tacos and korean bbq beef.We all raved over our food. Our waitress was so sweet. Someone else even came around and checked on everyone. We will definitely return.

I'm so excited that this area finally has a sushi place!! Blossoms has sushi, your standard Chinese dishes, and hibachi meals!! Their menu has a great variety. I had the teriyaki chicken hibachi (only $7.50 for lunch!), and it was amazing. I would prefer the veggies to be cooked a little longer, but overall it was delicious. Great service as well. Very friendly staff. Nice, new, modern place. Great deals, very affordable prices. They are busy!! Get there before noon if possible for lunch - they fill up quick!! The Tri-city sushi roll was also delicious. I'll be back for sure!! This is my new favorite spot in the area!! :-)

Very good food at a reasonable price. I had the crab cheese and hibachi shrimp. Compared to other restaurants we have eaten at theirs were the best. Waitress we had was friendly and very helpful. Service was fast. It was a good place to eat on the way home from northern Michigan.

Popped in here after some auto service at Thelen. River Roar or something was going on, so there were a lot of cool expensive boats in the area. Anyways, I was the first customer of the day, and some friends of mine recommended this place. It was very good, I had the Curry Noodles or something like that. There were a lot of things on the menu I'd like to try in Saginaw. Service was exceptional too, my server was prompt and didn't bug me. Don't understand the negative reviews on here, it's a bit bizarre.

A group of friends and I tried Blossoms for the first time last week. The sushi selection is small, but it was good! My friend tried a couple of the fish tacos and said they were "okay". Crab rangoons were a little greasy. We all had hibachi and thought it was really good for the price. I got steak and shrimp hibachi and it was only $13. Overall, we really enjoyed it!

Love the Sushi. Generous Portion sizes. Atmosphere isn't the greatest (it's in a strip mall). But other than that, it is a decent place to eat.

We tried this place out last night and I just had to laugh. It is literally the same as Genji but half the price for their hibachi menu items. The yum yum sauce is very runny and not at all like Genji. We overheard the waitress tell the table next to us that "this is a sushi restaurant" which is absolutely not true. This restaurant has been hyped up way too much and is really just a copy of Genji with cheaper items. Personally, I would drive to Saginaw or Midland and pay full price for quality food.

I do not understand what prior reviewers are talking about. Maybe they're naive when it comes to what a noodle dish or Korean taco should be. Udon, a favorite of mine, was a sodium bath. It tastes IDENTICAL to ramen noodle flavor packets. I'd bet the (over)price of my dish that those same packets are what they use. Korean steak taco appeared to be a low-grade flank steak that was WAAY too sweet. Carrot dressing, which drowned out the salad, was the same; way too much sugar. I'm not a cynic, but this place was totally awful. I will not return. Bay City needs to take a stand against this knock-off Asian joke.

My first review on any restaurant ever had to be written because it was the worst experience I've ever had in my first 32 years of life. I had, without embellishment, inedible sweet and sour chicken takeout. The white steamed rice, which only half filled the container, was mostly crispy brown rice from sitting in the steamer too long. The chicken that was only half covered in sweet and sour sauce was so overcooked and rock hard that you couldn't cut into it. I ended up ordering Chinese from another restaurant in town and eating that. So disappointed.

The restaurant is open until 9, and we arrived at 8. After we ordered, the staff locked the door, and started vacuuming and mopping the floor. Our food was ok, but you could tell it was rushed out of the kitchen. We left about 845 and we had to unlock the door on our way out. Probably would have reviewed it higher if it felt like they wanted our business.

The Hibachi Steak and Chicken was top notch! I have eaten at the infamous Genji Japanese Steakhouse in Midland and Saginaw, and this was very similar! Many of the same dishes, but in a little smaller portions for a cheaper price. I recommend!!

I normally don't like to leave bad reviews, so I'll try to keep this curt. Just didn't think the food quality was there, sorta like a china buffet quality. Not for me. Service was good though.

I came here for lunch at around 1pm. My guest and I were promptly greeted and seated with a smile. Hot Tea and Diet coke were quickly brought to the table after they were ordered. I asked if they had BeeBimBop for lunch, the server said that it was normally a dinner menu item as it takes up some kitchen resources, but as it was slower after the rush , she said she could swing it. I like a server who is not a robot and can make the impossible possible! So that right there gets 4 starts. The BeeBimBop was great! My guests order was spot on. Management came by and made sure we were satisfied. a very welcome addition to Bay City - Delivery would be awesome (hint hint)

Hoped for high expectations but fell far short of even good. Had three entree's to dine in with one to go. Chicken hibachi was chicken coated meat. The meat had no flavor. Cubed dry meat. Hibachi beef the meat was chewy and sauce too hot with few vegetables. Bibimbap was ok but 16 year old daughter does better at home. Ordered one hibachi to go with onion soup and was delivered at the end of our meal and sat it on the floor while we finished. Yuck. Wait staff were all very young and inexperienced and everything was spilled either on the table or even on the wife's leg. New restaurant stares into open cold parking lot with no window treatments. Sorry to say we hoped for better.

My husband and I finally found time to come in for lunch after a friend raved about how good it was. I'm so glad we did, we had a fantastic seaweed salad, which I've never seen anywhere else locally. The sushi was delicious, the hibachi and gyoza were cooked to perfection, the best meal I've had in a while. We'll be coming in regularly from now on.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
