Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

My first experience here right after the place opened was good--I loved the chicken greek salad, they got my order right, so I went back. It has been consistently disappointing ever since. I have ordered take out several times, and they never get the order exactly right. And for some reason, I end up standing there waiting to pay for my order and leave while they first serve dine-in patrons who get in line behind me to check out. Doesn't make sense--we're all paying our checks and leaving, so why not first come, first serve? The service is usually poor to mediocre. But most of all, the place is DIRTY. Everything is sticky: the tables, the menus, the condiment bottles, the salt and pepper shakers. Ew. Those are things that should be washed regularly. (Here's a hint, Red Olive: if you wipe something with a dirty, sticky rag, it doesn't get rid of dirt and stickiness!) And if you really want to be grossed out, take a gander at the dust bunnies on the chair rail attached to the wall above the booths. Yuck. Today I went in for breakfast, for some reason. The waitress was all frazzled even though the place was only about 1/3 full. She sat me at a booth that had yet to be cleared and cleaned. Then she came right back and wiped only half of the table with a skanky, smelly dish rag, and left the condiments out where the last patrons had left them on the unwashed half of the table. Mostly, she just got the crumbs wet and rearranged them for me. Then she dropped a sticky, crumby, gunk-spattered menu on my wet table and put my silverware and napkin in the wet crumb mess. I was disgusted. At that point, I was pretty sure I was leaving because I had lost my appetite. Then I ran my finger along the chair rail above my table, and it was caked with dirt and dust. I said, "EWWW," loudly enough for the people around me to hear, then I got up and walked out. If the dining area is that dirty, imagine how the kitchen looks! This place is gross, and the wait staff can't be bothered to do their jobs. I'm not sure it's been cleaned since it opened. Do yourself a favor and drive down University about a mile to Spargo's. It's not perfect, but it's much cleaner.

This was my second time at the Red Olive. Again, not impressed. While the menu boasts an array of offerings, primarily Mediterranean, they're mediocre at best. The worst thing about the Red Olive? Service. Take my advice, I wouldn't make plans for a quick lunch. It took 10 minutes to get a bill, mind you were were one of four tables in the dining room on a Saturday at lunch time. Another ten minutes to cashout at the cashier. Server forgot to bring a side when I asked for it. Twice. Unacceptable. People...There's far better places to spend your hard earned money.

I have pretty low standards when it comes to breakfast food so my review may not be one that you want to go by. If I don't have to cook it, it tastes like how breakfast should taste and the service is decent, I'm happy. We have two small children so not having to wait is key. We got there shortly after 9am on a Sunday. Place was all but empty, just how we like it. We were greeted and seated promptly, our server was very friendly, food came super fast and coffee was refreshed in a timely fashion. Fabulous. I ordered the gyro plate. Tasted like a gyro plate. My husband ordered the strawberry waffle. He was under the assumption that it would be fresh strawberries, which turned out to be wrong. He said it was pretty much like the canned pie filling. So if you're into that sort of thing... I agree with the previous reviewer about the stickiness. I grabbed the dessert menu out of curiosity and it was pretty disgusting. All in all, because of the service and not having to wait, we'd go back.

The Greek salad from here is amazing. Over had it more times than I can count! The dressing is what makes it. Creamy pink Greek dressing made in house! So so good!

First time here. I am searching for a place that has WIFi Since Peets closed. This is perfect for that purpose because you never have to worry about being bothered by servers. Ever. Food was meh, a step up from fast food but not as good as Leo's or a coney joint. Definitely off my list for food for any reason. Lucky's down the street is a better opinion.

Honestly the biggest rip off I've encountered in years. $8 for a tiny pathetic wrap with NOTHING on the side! Fries taste like chemicals and are an additional $2.25!!! This place is just plain awful. The chicken in the wrap is hard and rubbery, literally inedible.

I came here for a working lunch on a time-crunch. When we walked in, all the tables were full but we were acknowledged and seated quickly. I ordered the grilled chicken and avocado wrap and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The chicken was grilled perfectly. The menu said the wrap came with sour cream, but it was delivered with ranch dressing; this was slightly dissapointing because I enjoy sour cream, but I didn't want to bother te busy server for a minor detail. The service was quick for how busy the restaurant was though. I would definitely return.

My go to place for a healthy to go. The portions are generous and the quality is pretty good for the price tag. My favorite salad is the oriental chicken salad. Lots of chicken breast, and always fresh veggie. The portion of their gyro is almost double the serving of Olgas. Have yet to try their omelette special of 3.95 before 11am, will update once I'm able to.
