It's all love. Pasties (with veggie options!), killer coffee, decadent pastries. Always a treat, always a pleasure.

Recently I tasted an almond croissant purchased at another coffeshop in AA. It was a total fluke, I'm not much of a pastry person. After returning twice more to get another one...I asked where it was baked and found out it came from the Pastry Peddler. These things are AMAZING.

A couple other cafes have now jumped on the wagon: you can buy Pastry Peddler pastries at Comet in the Arcade, Lab, and Sweetwaters. Good choice, my friends. I will now buy my coffee with you so I can get my favorite treats. :) The lemon-ginger scone is amazing. Also the morning glory muffin baked in a fun tin with ridges, so you get more of that buttery crispy edge. :)

Recognizing pastry styles and tastes differ greatly, the pastries here don't really stand out, especially compared to some other Ann-Arbor/Detroit area options. On the upside service is friendly and fast.

Delicious hole in the way with a great variety of croissants and sandwiches. I gave this place only four stars because coffee is not good and they are in the middle of nowhere
(4)Priya R.
The chocolate croissant WAS really good. It was incredibly flaky and just divine. My only issue with the place is the hours. Be sure to check to see if they are open before you go!
(3)N W.
I've never tasted croissants as flaky and fluffy as the ones at Pastry Peddler. EXCELLENT pastries. My only suggestion for improvement is seating. There are only two tiny tables (four seats total) available in the place, which makes enjoying the place very difficult. Parking can also be a challenge, as it is located in a very dense location on campus (right off of State Street)

So, wow. That just happened. I just ate the best croissant of my life and it was in Ann Arbor, not exactly a city known for its baking prowess. Pastry Peddler is a gem, almost hidden with its small sign and unassuming demeanor. It is located steps away from the law school on Packard, which is simultaneously amazing and dangerous (at least to my dreams of holding off Type II diabetes for a few more years). The store has two small tables (two seats each), so it's not exactly suited for crowds or long study days, but it is perfectly situated for picking up a delightful pastry on the go. The selection is second to none, at least in downtown Ann Arbor. Almond croissants? So soft and moist, glittered with almond slices and filled with sweet crème d'amandes. Intelligentsia Coffee? Makes me feel like I'm back home at the cafes in Venice and Silverlake. I am considering printing a list of all their menu items and checking them off, one by one, as my addiction grows. With their impressive stock of puffs, danishes, rolls, scones, and muffins, that could take a deliciously long while.
(5)Sonu M.
Oh Pastry Peddler. I am still looking for an almond croissant as good as yours. I'm not sure I'll ever find one. Keep peddling those pastries, PP.
(5)MC S.
Just moved to A2 and is in the search of real bakery and pastry shop. Was a bit disappointed that I couldn't find real French or a modern Japanese bakery, and am very pleased there's this yummy little pastry shop. Hooray for French styled viennoiseries in Pastry Peddler! Buttery and flaky, but not over dressed with sugar and icing- what a real viennoiserie should be. The price is not low for simple pastries, but well worth it. Bravo! Will definetly come back again and again ;) It will be awesome if they can make canelé,too. Please~~~~
(4)Stephen K.
Best scones in Ann Arbor. So good.
(5)Linnea B.
Fantastic pastie's! Try to not have them reheated, the fresh ones are much better! There are four seats seats so put your baggie in your fur lined parka and book it home.
(4)Olivia N.
The hours are odd, definitely not a place you feel comfortable lounging around for hours. So, now that you're not expecting a coffee shop, what to expect? Well the pastries are good. I've had the almond croissant in a variety of local cafes. I thought going to the source would be a little cheaper but the prices seemed high, especially because you can't laze around and enjoy it in the shop. Honestly, I would suggest going to Mighty Good because the pastries are from here and the lattes and prices are better.

5 million stars for the pastry peddler! Hands down THE BEST bakery I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy pastries from! Now I live off off dessert and sweets, I have tried bakeries all over Europe and the US daily and take it very seriously and am extreamly critical. Pastry Peddler blows them all away! The only thing that sucks it that they close at 4pm so I had to wait till saturday, our last day in Ann Arbour to get to go and load up for the way home. Even my husband who isn't a fan of sweets at all couldn't wait till we got out of the parking lot before telling me to break out the goods. What is an apple pillow puff you ask? Well so did we, its a huge fluffy donut, no filling or icing needed just fresh apple chunks throughout and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Now THIS is a simple delight one could eat every day. A fresh warm croissant that crunches and flakes when you bite it with chocolate AND almonds, chocolate still warm and runny inside? YES PLEASE! I used to drive to France (10 minutes from home at the time) for croissants all the time and have tasted the best of the best and who knew they could be found in Ann Arbour MICHIGAN?!!! Really, this was an amazing find and almost reason enough to relocate and buy the house just to live above them! There is rarely a pecan sticky bun I don't love like a second child and I gladly take this one under my wings. Also unresistable are their chocolate chip and packard street best cookie, the latter being oatmeal with every thing imaginable and not just the best cookie on packard street. I look forward to returning to Ann Arbour and the Pastry Peddler is one of the main reasons, I would drive out of the way to go here, sucks that in my case that means 3 hours....
(5)Jeanie S.
Butter croissants here -- delicious. Flaky, but not too brittle. Perfect with an espresso drink, or a hot chocolate. Will make this a regular treat when I'm feeling decadent.
(4)eula m.
This place has excellent coffee. Intelligentsia brand. I highly recommend the lemon ginger scone. They always play country music in the morning, tunes that are pretty distinct in a midwestern college town.
(5)Laurie D.
I just ate the best chocolate croissant of my life. My husband said his raspberry cheese Danish was exquisite. At one point, I stole some of the raspberry goo from his Danish and put it on my croissant. So rebellious. I can't wait to try a breakfast pasty and some of the other treats! Living so close to this place is going to be delightful, albeit dangerous.
(5)Todd N.
Oh you want pasties, you say? You want jalapeño mac n cheese poppers? You want every scone on earth and you want to wash it down with homemade chili? Then Pastry Peddler is for you! Just don't plan on sitting down -- they only have 4 chairs!
(4)Samantha H.
Since it's about 2 minutes from my house, it is VERY hard not to go every single day. Their chocolate croissant is unbelievable - perfectly flaky and just the right amount of creamy, delicious chocolate. The blueberry muffins are great as well - huge blueberries!
(5)Ryan B.
This place has been calling me on a daily basis on my morning walk to class, and I simply could not resist it any longer. I don't usually like Pasties, but seriously, they are so freakin good here. I had the breakfast one which was egg, sausage, cheese and potatoes. Incredibly filling and a perfect balance of shell and filling. Their cinnamon rolls also are surprisingly good. The surprise:RAISINS! Make sure to throw it in the microwave to the left of the door (if you like them gooey and melty), and your mouth will be in cinna-ecstasy. Does it get better? Yes! 16oz. house blend coffee for $2? Okay! And get this--$10. Work! And my last compliment is that the waitstaff and people that frequent this place are awesome. Though there are only 2 tables inside, it's worth the wait to get one. Chilling here is fantastic and interesting (especially if you live on S. Campus, because you'll meet people in your neighborhood). Why it doesn't get five stars? The hours. This place should be open later on the weekends then just till 1PM on Saturdays. Nevertheless, love this little pastry shop and can't wait to return.
(4)Golnaz P.
I came here for an almond croissant. They had run out of croissants by noon on that Sunday. I settled for a raspberry and almond bear claw. The outside was perfectly flaky and the inside was soft. It had the perfect amount of flavor. I don't even like bear claws and I really enjoyed this one. My only recommendation would be to come early because it not only closes at 3, but it runs out by noon.
(4)Dee S.
Pastry Peddler is the kind of place that makes me sad that I don't live in Ann Arbor. Wonderful coffee and amazing dessert. I'm surprised that the inside is as small as it is since I assume they get pretty phenomenal business. Not a "sit for hours and study" place due to the size but definitely perfect for dropping by on the way to class. I had the white mocha with some sort of almond pastry that was out of the world. The pastry was perfectly made - the right amount of flaky, the right about of sweet (very understated...which worked perfectly for this type) and very fresh. They make the desserts right there and do a phenomenal job. The one con would be their hours are weird. I posted the new hours on one of the quick tips...but still.

The home of the nasty pasty: I dont eat sweets ever and was told that this was a good place to get pasties. I was pretty excited because in my book there isnt a good pastie place south of Munising that I knew of. Well there still isnt. First issue is that they didnt use real pastie dough what ever they used has the texture of a rubbery pizza dough with no crunch even after I cooked it. Second, because it was breakfast I figured that I would get the spinach and artichoke pastie, BIG MISTAKE. There is spinach and artichoke in it but only about 10 percent the other 90 percent is and overwhelming amount of flavorless mozzeralla cheese. It was soft, gummy, rubbery and flavorless and after the first bite my stomach was so turned I ended up stepping out of my office and vomiting. Not only was it a bad pastie, it is the worst pastie I have had! EVER! (Please consider they may have good doughnuts, I really don't know.)

Best. Pastries. EVER. One time, I googled Pastry Peddler and saw that the website wasn't working anymore. What started as a small suspicion that they might've closed down turned into an ALL OUT FREAK OUT with me frantically calling them as if someone had done stole my baby. They're still open. They're still in business. But that just shows you how good their pastries are. They take you to crazytown. The obsession started with their **Croissants**. They are buttery, flakey, crunchy on the outside, yet smooth like silk inside. But then, my eyes lingered over to the **Chocolate Croissants** which has two long bars of chocolate in them and a drizzle on top. Yum. When I decided to be "health-conscious", I moved onto to the **Apple Danishes** where I lingered for a good year or so. My fave thing about them was that they weren't too sweet, considering its apples, sugar, and something sweet that makes them all glisteny and beautiful. I swung back to the **almond croissants** which are my current favorites -- either the inside is so soft that it tastes like almond paste or it actually has a small amount of almond filling in it. Whatever you are, you're good. I also enjoy the **pecan sticky bun**, but more as a dessert after lunch than a breakfast food. I have to say, I've liked every pastry at Pastry Peddler. It's high quality shiz guys. It'll make you look at store-bought boxes with disdain. You must go.
(5)Pari N.
Buttery fresh almond chocolate Croissants? Yes, please! This is probably as good as a croissant gets! If you're not a chocolate fan just go for the almond croissant, or the plain one, all of them are great. I've also tried their pecan sticky buns, which was good, but as I can't resist their croissants, I haven't had the chance to try their other pastries yet. It's so bad that I don't live closer though, and that they close rather early, especially on weekends. Wish they were open longer.
(4)Kathy L.
I love this little pastry/cafe! The women are so nice and friendly, and the espressos are delicious. And of course their pastries are to die for. Plus they're no more expensive than Espresso Royale or Starbucks (and they're all homemade right in the cafe!). This little patisserie reminds me of the olden days, when you would visit your neighborhood bakery and everyone knew each other by name (Ok, so I'm not old enough to remember the "olden days," but this is at least what I imagine they were like). It's not a place to sit and spend some time (they have 1 inside table), but it's definitely worth making this a regular stop on your everyday commute to work or class.
(5)Alex S.
It's baller. You should go here.
(5)Senushi J.
I was just in this very cute pastry & coffee shop the other morning. As soon as stepped into this charming, albeit small, establishment I was immediately greeted by the owner (Katy Loy). There is a perfect selection of carefully crafted pastries such as the best croissants outside of Paris, pecan sticky buns, and delicious cinnamon rolls. It is obvious that the artist behind these confections has had professional training-- Loy attended the French Pastry School in Chicago. However, I'm so glad that she returned to Ann Arbor to open a much-needed quality bakery. I highly recommend The Pastry Peddler to anyone! p.s. They proudly serve Intelligentsia coffee, which I haven't tried yet but hope to very soon!
(4)mariah c.
This sweet little pastry shop opened up just a few blocks away. Though its tiny size means it won't be the best stay-and-work coffee shop, I can tell that the close proximity to fresh croissants may become a dangerous thing! The pastries here are the real-deal, not some thawed Sysco variety. The owner, Katy Loy, trained at the French Pastry School in Chicago, and then returned to her Ann Arbor base to share buttery, flaky baked goodness with the masses. I would still say that Cafe Japon has my favorite croissants in Ann Arbor, but the Pastry Peddler's run a very close second. With the added bonus of reasonably-priced hot apple cider and Intelligentsia coffee (I don't drink coffee, but I hear that Intelligentsia is some of the best), this will probably become my regular place to stop in (either by myself or with a coffee-drinkin' friend) and grab a toasty beverage and fresh-baked treat.
(3)Pauline S.
Frozen hot chocolate! A delicious treat on those rare, warm days in the A2. When you wish you could be at Serendipity but are too broke to head to New York, come here. This will satisfy that urge for the time being. Their chocolate chip cookie is also amazing. I bought one on Friday, accidentally forgot about it until Monday. It was still a damn good cookie three days later. Alas, there are only two tables here so make sure you get your stuff to go.
(4)Frank M.
This is a great little local bakery, the kind you always wish to have right across the street from you. Their coffee drinks are good and they had hot apple cider when it was in season, which made me really happy. The pastries are amazing, my favorites are the pecan sticky bun and the almond croissant. While I haven't had the plain croissant, my girlfriend says they are really good. And that's saying something given how picky she has become with croissants since getting back from France. There's only one little table, so it's probably not the type of place to go and sit (though they may put tables outside once it gets warm) but it's great for grabbing something to go. Oh, and the staff are all really friendly.
(5)wendy r.
I like a good pastry once in a while and this is the place to grab one. All butter and made with care, you'll love a treat from this bake shop. The owners are friendly and always there-enjoy some midwestern, friendly charm while you snack.
(4)Robert F.
Best pastries in Ann Arbor, without a doubt. If you want to be picky about that statement, Afternoon Delight wins the muffin battle, but a muffin isn't really a pastry. Went here just about every Saturday when we still lived in Ann Arbor and always was impressed. The owner is extremely friendly, as is her father, who often works there. To my knowledge they are the only place to get Intelligentsia coffee and tea in town and the selection of delicious pastries never disappoints. If I was forced to name one negative, I would say their somewhat limited business hours have stopped me on many occasions from enjoying a late afternoon or Sunday treat. Try their almond croissant, it will change your life.
(5)Jane F.
Omg. I love this place. Best bakery in Ann Arbor by far. I love pretty much everything there, in particular the pecan sticky buns, chocolate cherry scones, almond croissants. The owner is super friendly and always remembered us (and our dog!) when we came in!
(5)David T.
Wonderful little pastry shop. The food is inexpensive, but that doesn't mean it's not good. The food is great and made fresh daily. I'm definitely going back.
(5)Daren C.
This is a great bakery shop! If you need great bread go to Z's but if you need great croissants and pastries this is the best in town! My only question is whether some of the fillings are made there or brought in from Sysco. The coffee is good but not great, but really who cares? Its about the pastries! ... The owner is homegrown Ann Arbor so I hope the locals support this place.
(4)Erin G.
I'm glad I don't live too close to here, because that could be a bad, bad thing. I'm sure each delicious baked treat has your daily recommended amount of calories. I've only so far had the croissants and the pecan sticky buns, but everything else is home-made and looks delicious. The croissants are amazing. So buttery and flaky and light. The pecan sticky buns are ridiculously delicious, but I would recommend sharing one with someone else--they're huge and pretty rich from the sweetness of the glaze and the buttery pecans. They have Intelligentsia coffee, which I don't believe anyone else has in town, so that's pretty exciting. I am a coffee addict, and Intelligentsia is some of the best. The place is teensy tiny inside, so it's not a stay-and-hang-out place, which makes me sad. I would love to sit and have a cup of coffee and a croissant and just hang out, but the only table in there has been taken when I've visited. It's only open until 2 i believe, which makes it hard to get to for me, because I sleep in late or have classes all day, but it's definitely a must-visit.
(4)Tim F.
The Pastry Peddler is doing so much so well! The croissant might be the best I've ever had. And, while I haven't always liked Intelligentsia coffee (and having lived in Chicago, I've tried plenty), theirs shined in a latte, full of the coffee's interesting caramel flavors. There was nothing of the burnt flavors that you get some of those coffee shops further up State Street ...
(5)Anna Marie C.
If this was located in any major metropolitan city, the line every morning would be out the door. Instead it's in quaint Ann Arbor where only diligent foodies stumble upon it, or in my case said foodie recommends it to me. With luck on my side, my apartment also happens to be located just steps from it. Since my "aided" discovery of the Pastry Peddler 2 months ago, I've had more chocolate almond, almond, and chocolate croissants than I can count with my filanges. I've also had the blueberry muffins because they do run out of croissants on occasion. Breakfast will never be the same with Pastry Peddler setting the bar high. And Michigan winters? No match for their intellegentsia coffee. I've yet to try their homemade soups and pasties (like empanadas).
(5)Annie V.
When I think fondly if Ann Arbor, the Pastry Peddler is always in the top 3 of reasons why I like town or miss it. The croissants are the best I've ever had, the coffee is much better than any chain coffee you're used to, and they have service with a smile! If you are on your way somewhere in the morning and you're near this little gem, do yourself a favor and stop in... Then after lunch you'll stop in again to get a box of goodies for tomorrow morning.
(5)Kukla D.
Half the stuff is burned. Every day. If you get anything that's not burned, it's fabulous.
(3)Beck E.
I do love some of the pastries from this place (the only thing I have been disappointed by was this sugar-coated puffy doughnut thing--the name escapes me). And coffee is quite tasty. If only there were more seating. :( I was excited to learn that Pastry Peddler bought out the space nextdoor that used to house the Subway, but it turns out, they're just turning it into a huge kitchen to bake in. No extra seating for customers.
(4)Yevi M.
Pastry Peddler is truly one guilty pleasure of mine in Ann Arbor. This place has been consistently incredible for the past 4 years I lived in AA - staple treats remain amazing and new additions are equally good. Almond croissant is truly the best I've ever had anywhere and I get it every time for the SO (that way I can have some too!). Muffins are fantastic as well - I especially like the wholesome wheat one, sweetened with orange juice and so filling! Packard cookie contains pretty much everything I love, so I would never pass on it as well. Breakfast pasties are the best as a FILLING meal before a long day. Coffee is incredible too. And don't pass on their paczki, as they are really good as well. Basically, I can't think of a single bad thing about this bakery shop and I hope they will continue to thrive for many more years to come!
(5)Katie K.
I mean, it's not the best but it's not bad either. The coffee tasted like it had been sitting too long or something but it wasn't bad. I also had a dirty chai latte. not the best I've had. it was pretty much milk with a touch of chai flavor rather than an actual latte. meh. boyfriend got the breakfast pastie and really like it. I got a ham and Swiss croissant but wasn't the biggest fan. it was just too cold and the croissant seemed old. may or may not try this place again.
(3)Liz W.
This has become my go to place for all varietals of croissants. Usually I am a chocolate croissant girl but I am in love with the almond ones here. The chocolate and the chocolate with almond are indeed mighty tasty but there is just something about the almond ones that make me happiest. The plain butter ones pair wonderfully with chicken salad when you take them home with you. Just a tip. They have excellent Intelligensia coffee, which is my fave coffee. Swing by here on a Friday or Saturday and pair it with an excellent cinnamon raisin roll. I also like the apple pillow puffs or a Danish in a pinch. Honestly everything sweet I have had here is scrumptious. Nothing is too dense or tooth achingly sweet. It is all fresh, flaky and sinfully delicious. The pasties? Not the best I have had. The vegetable one is really quite good. The meat varietal? Meh. I am a snob when it comes to traditional pasties though. The pastry crust is good, the filling wasn't making me do cartwheels. Not a big issue for me as I have other local haunts for them but I thought I would share at any rate. My only other issue is the hours, it makes getting here difficult for me with my crazy schedule. Luckily for me I have an indulgent husband with his own sweet tooth who will bring me some.
(4)Stefanie N.
oh my gosh their apple pastry puff thing...AMAZING!
(4)Alexandra K.
Hearing that their croissants are amazing, and finding myself in need of such pastries for an event, I made my way over around 7:20am to purchase those--oh and of course breakfast for myself. Walking in, it's really just a place to grab and go as they only have 2 tables, 4 chairs. Included in the tight space is a microwave--just in case you like your pastries warm. A very pleasant college student helped me, giving me some suggestions. -Hot chocolate: it sure comes out hot. They actually put enough chocolate in--not something I always find to hold true. Maybe next time I'll skip the whipped cream since it makes the hot chocolate slightly too sweet as it melts. But I'd probably just stick to coffee since this is just your average hot chocolate. -Breakfast Pastie (egg, cheese, chorizo, sausage, bacon, potatoes, peppers, onions): the dough is quite thick and semi flaky, but more hearty. The insides are lovely and warmed nicely. The eggs are very fresh, and well spiced (mildly spicy). The chorizo is perfectly cooked and the potatoes and onions with bits of red pepper--wow. It just makes for a creamy, well spiced and flavorful mix. It's also extremely filling--and this is me talking. -Beef Pastie (ground chuck, potatoes, rutabaga, carrots, celery, onions): there is a huge piece of beef inside that is nicely spiced and thick. The problem is that it's all a bit dry, even the veggies inside. I would prefer to have it be more creamy but ah well. -Apple Pillow Puff: oh wow. This is amazingly flaky. And the cinnamon. Wow is it perfectly doused (and I mean DOUSED). The fresh and well spiced apples are cooked within the dough--as opposed to a filling, which in my opinion is much better. It makes for a light, but extremely flavorful pastry. -Butter Croissant: to me it was just your average, good buttered croissant. It could be slightly flakier for my tastes (so slightly little less crispy) but good. -Almond Croissant: man do they douse these is a glaze/syrup--the sides even have hardened glaze hanging off of them. First bite, ok. Second bite, pretty good. Third bite, FINALLY, you've arrive at the delectable almond paste. What's nice is that not only is there a perfectly sweet paste, but there are almonds within the croissant, and not just on top. It's quite good, but not the best almond croissant of my life--and you can really only eat it a few hours after it's been baked--it stales quickly. -Chocolate Croissant: mmm I'm always too critical of these. I like the insides to be completely filled with chocolate--like oozing chocolate and this is just like in a pain au chocolat: only 2 rings of chocolate exist. It's just not enough for all the flaky dough--which in this case is very flaky and crisp. I wouldn't get it again. -Cinnamon Roll: can you say staler than anything I've ever eaten. Not only is it rock hard and stale, but it doesn't taste much like cinnamon. The only good part is the amazing icing which is a perfect mixture of sugar and butter. FINAL VERDICT: I have to say, for a bakery these prices are pretty steep. $2.25 for a normal croissant. Their pasties are reasonably priced--I mean $5.65 for a FILLED pastie is reasonable but most of their sweet prices could be lowered slightly. And their croissants may be slightly overrated, but their pillow puffs and pasties! YUM! I'll be back.

Wow, can't believe that two pastries and a medium latte cost me over $11. I'm a regular shopper at Whole Foods and I still think that is absurd. Yes, they are made well and the customer service is friendly but, I can't imagine ever paying that much again. Whole Foods also makes excellent pastries but, their's cost $1.99/piece while the Pastry Peddler's costs $3.25/piece. The pastries are of the same quality; in my opinion. Also, Whole Food's large latte is $4 while the Pastry Peddler's medium is $4. I see no reason to pay more for the same quality food. Also, this location has virtually no parking spaces available. There are about 6 spaces in front of the store and if those are taken...good luck finding a parking space. The space inside is quite small. I only noticed 4 seats. Also, Comet Coffee sells the pastries made by Pastry Peddler and they frequently offer deals via the "Hooked" app. for the pastries. They offer $1.00 off Pastry Peddler pastries via the Hooked app. So if you are really craving their pastries and want to pay a reasonable price for them; then just purchase them from Comet Coffee. Comet Coffee also makes delicious lattes and coffee drinks and is located adjacent to a parking structure (Maynard lot).

Almond croissants and apple pillow puffs are wonderful but ugh! Soooo buttery and flaky! If I lived near here I would be so poor and my skin would be terrible. (Try to come early because the selection runs out.)
(4)Amy G.
Spring break 2014 = pastry tour of Ann Arbor. My friends and I are wild, I know. First stop was the highly rated Pastry Peddler. We happened to come on Mardis Gras, so the shop had the special seasonal product of paczkis available. While I was tempted by the jelly donut-like treats, I opted for the a egg and chorizo breakfast pastie. It was $6 which is more expensive than any old pastry, but they are sizable and filling as a meal. On a cold winter day, as I bit through the buttery crust the hot dumpling innards were quite satisfying. The eggs would be slightly bland if one did not have additional seasonings available, but just make sure to request some ketchup and/or hot sauce from the counter. It's an extremely small shop with only two tiny tables so it's not really a cafe to hangout in, but certainly worth swinging by to load up on artisan-type baked goods.
(4)Holly P.
After hearing another one of my favorite local coffee shops got their pastries from the Pastry Peddler, I decided to check out the source directly. This is a simple, small place with just 2 tables inside and a couple outside. I didn't even ask about wi-fi because it wasn't the type of place where you settle in for the morning. That being said, the pastries are bomb and my latte was great. Intelligentsia is the first coffee that made me fall in love with quality coffee beans and get away from super sweet syrups. Because Pastry Peddler serves Intelligentsia I expected the coffee to be great and was not disappointed. I've had their croissants before and they are as good as the other reviewers have mentioned. But that lemon ginger scone? DIVINE. If the other pastries are as good, my self control is in for a world of trouble...
