Juicy Kitchen Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

One of my fave places to grab a bite in the neighborhood. Healthier options than usual diner but with great, non pretentious food. And they use local produce, eggs & dairy in all their dishes (I saw the Tantre farms truck unloading some beautiful looking stuff when we were leaving this past weekend). There's the omelet of the day filled with seasonal veggies, plus a variety of egg dishes (also heavy on the veggies) and some sweet options like stuffed french toast (made with whole wheat Avalon bread), oatmeal, and scottish oat cakes. Lunch is also available with a variety of sandwiches and salads to order. They also have espresso drinks (iced or hot) and smoothies for your beverage needs. Also the prices are really reasonable given the quality of the foods your getting. My fella and I both got espresso beverages and a brunch entree each and we walked out of there with a tab of around $20. Not too bad! The space is on the smaller side but I've never had to wait for a table. There are also a few tables outside should the mood strike for al fresco. If you visit past the time the kitchen closes (2pm on weekends/3 weekdays) you can still get some prepared foods like salads, soups, and the like out of the cooler to either eat there or take home. Coffee drinks are also served until close. You can also pre-order meals for pick up (also available to order online) which is a nice option if you don't want to cook but want to spare your waistline the typical take out fare. They also have a variety of baked goods available at check out. Many (if not all) are whole grain, low sugar, and vegan to boot. A sweet treat without the guilt! A solid spot for lunch/brunch/breakfast and more. Love it!!

While on a mid-week vacation day, my wife and I decided to try "Juicy's" for a late lunch at this popular eatery known locally for fresh and healthy food. It is a small place with just 7 or 8 tables. After gazing at the menus written in colored chalk on the blackboards mounted to the walls, you place your order and pay up front at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. As we walked in at about 1:45 pm, the place was still packed with the lunch crowd although most had finished their meals and just seemed to be enjoying some relaxing conversations...kind of a casual coffee house atmosphere. We both chose to go with the Omelette Special of the day which contained califlower, zucchini, onions, white wine sauce and white cheddar. It was served with some fresh greens, fresh blueberries and strawberries and a couple of small slices of a hearty Zingerman's-style multi-grain bread. Wow...such great flavors reflecting the freshness of the ingredients folded into the omelette. The service was really friendly and the food was genuinely tasty. Prices were a bit steep at $9.50 for the omelette special but I don't mind paying for this level of quality. Juicy Kitchen definitely earned the right to enter into our Ann Arbor breakfast and lunch rotation. 4 solid stars.

Came here with two friends for brunch a while back and had a delicious meal! Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. Very locovore friendly. Great staff and deliciously prepared dishes, clearly made with a lot of care. Location is pretty off the beaten path, but absolutely worth it! Location is small, but I was able to find a seat pretty easily.

S-l-o-w service; food is fresh but not spectacular and a smidge overpriced given the portion size. I understand the vibe that the owner is going for, but given all the awesome raw materials she has to work with (Avalon bread, Tantre produce, farm fresh eggs), the execution is a bit eh.

I love the comfortable atmosphere of Juicy's Kitchen! They are so welcoming with their colored chalk on the blackboards - HOW FUN! I was very impressed with their oatmeal cakes and fresh salads! Healthy and delicious. I recommend Juicy Kitchen to all locals, especially if your diet is Gluten Free, they offer many options that everyone will love.

I have been to this place twice with my parents and both times the food was very subpar. The first time I got a veggie burger, and it just flat out didn't taste good. Since veggie burgers are hard to get right, and my parents love this restaurant, I decided I'd give it a second chance. The second time I ate here I tried the JK Club, which was an insult to my taste buds.... Grilled chicken breast, fresh avocado, local bacon, zesty ranch dressing... In principle this sandwich sounds amazing, but the execution was extremely poor. First off, the bread dominated the sandwich. It was served on a large ciabatta that day, which tasted like day old Kroger's bakery bread. Each bite was overpowered with too much bread. Next, it was very skimpy on avocado. Last and most importantly, the chicken was dry! Let me repeat that last statement... the chicken at "JUICY" Kitchen was extremely dry. There was nothing juicy about this sandwich, and it left me feeling like I had a cement block sitting in the bottom of my stomach. My parents really enjoy this place, but their taste in food is very poor, and they tend to go to places with bland food that leaves them feeling stuffed. I on the other hand enjoy fresh flavorful food, and have very high standards when it comes to food. The quality at Juicy Kitchen comes nowhere close to meeting their price point, and the taste is awful. They seem very nice there and have the right idea when it comes to food concepts, however, again the execution is awful. I will not be a patron at this wannabe California style restaurant again!

Absolutely marvelous colorful real food!!!!! Fruit quinoa salad was awesome. Banana bread w yogurt and pbutter and fruit amazing. Veggie eggs Benedict w avocado sauce and micro greens phenomenal, this place is killing it. ! We've been waiting for a place like this in A2. Always a line but they work fast. The only drawback is the place is small. But my best hope is that they will do wonderfully in business in our town and open a larger shop soon.

I love Juicy Kitchen! I mostly go to Juicy for breakfast on the weekends but sometimes for lunch as well. The service is always fast and friendly. The food is delicious - fresh, local, organic. At breakfast - I really like their quiche or egg specials. The space is small so sometimes there can be a wait for a table on the weekend but I've never had to wait more than about 5-10 minutes. I wish I lived a little closer because I would go to Juicy Kitchen even more.

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Juicy Kitchen! Which I found because of Yelp. Thank you yelpers. This place is totally my kind of place. And, if you dream of adorable and intimate restaurants that serve high quality food, prepared mindfully, then this place is probably for you too! It's just so wonderful! And, I'm so grateful that the owner followed whatever it was that brought her to this place in time so that she could share Juicy Kitchen with the world. Or, at least Ann Arbor. And me. And even though I live about 25 miles away, I will be here often, for sure. It's adorable, adorable, adorable and I love that I can get gluten free, vegan, vegetarian or whatever, simply by asking. It's small (I think it seats around 14-ish) and it's simply precious. Small enough so they can provide great service to everyone. ...SUPER friendly and accommodating staff! Food is sourced from local farmers whenever possible and oh so yummy. Our coffee beverages (latte and regular coffee) were wonderful as well! They serve Mighty Good Coffee, which is of course, well, um, mighty good. Seriously! Have no idea about the internet because this really is a great place to connect in person with another human being... You know, eyes connecting, exchanging words and not texts. Pretty wonderful! I'll be back and soon! Thank you Juicy Kitchen for being here!

This is definitely one of my favorite eateries in Ann Arbor. Still a best kept secret, JK never disappoints with healthy and delicious meals. I've had breakfast here numerous times, as well as ordered prepared dinners to go. Today I tried the potato hash, which was phenomal, and typically try something new every time I come. Such a great idea and a great way to eat healthy on the go and for the same price as if I'd eat out or go grocery shopping. It's a little far from campus, but is a great place for busy grad school students that want healthy options. The staff are always friendly, as they waited 2 hours after closing while they were cleaning up to allow me to pick up my food. Impeccable team and service! I only wish that they had longer hours so I could make it for dinner.

I have really enjoyed my visits to Juicy Kitchen. Albeit small, it creates a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The food js delicious and fresh and they have great vegetarian and vegan options, so there is something for everyone. Don't skip the smoothies!

This is a great breakfast place and I'm looking forward to going again. I ordered the JK Benedict with a side of chicken sausage and I was very pleased with what I received. I also ordered a grapefruit spritzer and loved that it was juice with plenty of pulp. Everything was seasoned well, although I did add hot sauce (they carry The Brinery Hot Sauce!) and it was more to the spice level I was looking for. The only gripe I have about this place is the lack of space to eat. I felt smooshed and claustrophobic in a way that will prevent me from going in again if it's busy. It's a VERY small location and they pack in the chairs and tables.

I love their cinnamon vanilla lattes! I have also tried the baked eggs, breakfast quesadilla, the JK benedict, and their french toast. My favorite has been the JK benedict. I enjoy eating outside and they have these cute little heating lamps available for their guests to use on chilly mornings. I really love that when I leave here I don't feel stuffed and feel that I have eaten a truly healthy breakfast. I also enjoy that they serve fresh fruit with each meal and a small amount of mixed greens. At first I thought the mixed greens were an unnecessary plate decoration but actually they taste delicious for breakfast especially with the fruit. I'm looking forward to trying all of their menu items in the future!

I was pleasantly surprised when having breakfast at this cute little place! I was there on St. Patrick's day so had their corned beef hash, which was delicious. Will look forward to coming back again to try out more items on their menu. Recommend!

The juicy kitchen doesn't stick out from the road because I used to live in the area and never noticed it. But they are a great option for breakfast, especially if you have celiacs disease or you're vegan/vegetarian! All of their options were really healthy and fresh which I really appreciated. The staff was so sweet and really accommodating. Even my FIL who isn't a health nut really enjoyed the food! If you're in the area and want a fresh tasty bite to eat in the morning this is the place for you!

Wow this is definitely my new favorite restaurant !!! Went there on Saturday and ordered their power bowl w/ an over easy egg on top (UNREAL) and their special cinnamon and vanilla latte. My dad's oatmeal pancakes and mom's quiche were also unreal. It really is feel good food and an incredible atmosphere. Truly a hidden Ann Arbor gem.

I LOVE this place. Living in California, I find it hard to find organic healthy tasty cuisine with gluten and dairy free options and this place is it! I am surprised there is not that much in Ann Arbor that comes close to this place. I came here 6 times in my visit to my parents in Michigan just to get their food to go - it was amazing when I wanted healthy delicious food and didn't have time to cook (with the gluten-free and dairy-free options). I am obsessed with the owner's homemade tahini date cookies. I am buying 10 to freeze and take back to California. The owner is so sweet too. Love this place!

Every Sunday night, I look forward to receiving the e-mail detailing what Juicy Kitchen will be offering for carry out dining. Really wonderful soups, salads, entrees and desserts. All with top notch fresh ingredients, healthy and delicious. Recently, I have enjoyed the kale and garbanzo bean salad, moussaka, ratatouille, tortilla soup, corn and cashew soup, and more. It is great to have these meals in the fridge when it is too hot to cook or you are just too busy. I love JK because it is one of the few places I can go to in town where I know that I am getting healthy and delicious food. Also, the vibe is friendly, it truly feels like a neighborhood cafe. I eat "in" frequently but I also love the carry out.

Mr. MVP and I went to Juicy Kitchen for an early lunch after an appointment at University of Michigan. I was excited because in Kalamazoo our options are incredibly limited with our gluten free diet. Mr. MVP was just excited because well, bacon. We were greeted immediately and felt very comfortable asking questions. We explained that we were gluten free and we were told that most everything on the menu could be made gluten free with a few substitutions. Huzzah! *There are no clear indications when you walk into Juicy Kitchen, but you order at the counter from the large menus on the wall and then grab a seat and your meal is brought to you. Not a big deal, this process just was not clear to us when we walked in.* Mr. MVP ordered the club and I ordered the breakfast sliders. Both of us substituted gluten free bread. I opted to add the daily vegetable in the sliders (cauliflower and broccoli) and add bacon. Mr. MVP ordered orange juice and I had a decaf latte. The gluten free bread had a good texture. As a nice bonus there were sunflower seeds on the crust. This was a hearty bread, which gluten free people usually don't get. It was also toasted. Yummy! The eggs and veggies complimented the bread perfectly and the portion size was just right for me. I neglected to tell the staff when ordering that I cannot have citrus, so Mr. MVP ate my fruit, which he said was sweet and fresh. Mr. MVP said his club was perfect. Avocado, bacon, tomato, and lettuce on gluten free bread. It was the best ingredient combination ever. His orange juice, which was fresh squeezed was tart, but tasty. Mr. MVP also had a peanut butter quinoa cookie. He said the peanut butter was not nearly as strong as he would have liked, but the quinoa was light and added a pleasant airiness to the cookie. I could not stop worrying that there was soy in the cookie from the peanut butter, but Mr. MVP thoroughly enjoyed it. Our lunch was around $30, but it was well worth it. We will add Juicy Kitchen to our regular list of places when we travel to Ann Arbor for appointments.

Great breakfasts! I like how the menu changes based on what is available...that just seems super authentic and it also forces me to try new things (which I do not always like to do). Owner is super friendly, great atmosphere.

Healthy, fresh food. For the price, there many, many more tasty and plentiful portions all over Ann Arbor. This the first time that I left a highly-regarded- by- yelp restaurant feeling dissatisfied.

This is a great restaurant! They have delicious vegan, gluten-free, and paleo options without being overly pricy. I ordered the baked eggs with kale and sweet potatoes, plus a regular coffee with almond milk. The baked eggs were fabulous! Great portions at a great price. The only reason why I didn't give it the full 5 stars is because the space itself was very small and crowded. If you don't mind that then definitely do not miss out on this great restaurant whenever you are in Ann Arbor. I'll definitely be going there next time I'm in the area.

They were so friendly! We had called to see if they would seat us outside with our dog. They hadn't set up any tables outside yet, being that it was a cool December morning in the forties, but when we arrived, there was a water bowl, a dog treat, and blankets waiting for us. The food was also very good and health. We go the stuffed french toast and BLT scramble - I recommend getting the stuffed french toast. But 5 stars go out to their hospitality and friendly service.

This is one of Ann Arbor's best local spots. Hidden in a strip mall next to a gross liquor store and gas station you would never expect to find such a warm, intimate and welcoming atmosphere. People actually talk to each other here. The baked eggs are our favorite. And I love their homemade bread. Seating is limited but the staff work hard to fit everyone in. Summers are great to sit outside. Also they get their coffee from mighty good, so that's a plus always.

Clean food at last! Amazing little place with an awesome menu. I chose the breakfast burrito special today. I noticed the Mediterranean sandwich I'm looking forward to going back and trying. First timer, but definitely not the last.

This is my favorite place to get breakfast food in Ann Arbor. Food options are staples, but with slight variations - interesting, healthy ingredients incorporated into the meal as additions or item replacements. The menu changes frequently, but salads are generous, flavorful and chock full of fruit. Every soup I've tried has had a well-thought-out, interesting blend of flavors. My favorites are the benedict options. Every week there is a different "rotating" eggs benedict: sweet potato polenta cakes with kale hash and goat cheese hollandaise, crab cakes benedict, corn cake with veggie hash. (Sweet potato is my favorite). I haven't tried anything from the lunch menu aside from salads yet. However, oepn hours are limited and the space is small. It can be difficult to get a seat - I wouldn't come here with a group larger than 4.

I finally ate at Juicy Kitchen this week and I can't believe I waited so long! The space is very welcoming - small but inviting and very cozy. The service was warm and friendly, and the staff was clearly very passionate about their food. My omelette was delicious - I didn't leave a single crumb on my plate. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu!

The breakfast sliders were SMALL but the fresh fruit and quinoa salad was HUGE and super tasty. I felt bad for my friend who got the sliders. The restaurant is extremely small, so it's best if you don't plan on staying there especially on the weekend. I would take food to go and bring it for a picnic in the Arb!

Delicious! Very friendly staff. Healthy and lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Also very sweet to dogs. They brought our dog a bowl of water and a little doggy treat.

From what I understand, this is a new location. I've been here twice now, but never to the old spot - so I have nothing to compare. What I do know: the location is nothing special (in a strip mall next to a pizza joint) but the food flavor, quality, and nutritional profile are top-notch - as is the passion and commitment of the staff. Juicy Kitchen offers breakfast, brunch and lunch dine-in, as well as carry-out dinner options (you can order-ahead online, or see what they have when you're there). The dinner menu changes on a weekly basis, depending on what's in-season and - I imagine - the discrepancy of the chef. So far, my dine-in brunch and carry-out dinner experiences have been the best. I picked up lunch once and while the food was all tasty, the portions and the options are just not as amazing as they are for brunch or dinner. The grilled zucchini and cheese was good but felt like only 1/2-3/4 of a sandwich, and the veggie burger and the mediterranean sandwich - while quite flavorful - were nestled in a LOT of bread. My take-home dinner experience was quite different - the prepared meals were FULL of fresh, seasonal vegetables and whole grains. The chicken (even after sitting in my fridge for a few days and being reheated) was juicy and SO flavorful. I've never cooked it so well myself! We also loved the tempeh and the sweet-potato curry. An amazing option for a lazy but healthy dinner. We sat in for brunch - and the interior of the restaurant is cute but small. Maybe 6 or so tables total with a door that unfortunately lets cold air in on a chilly day. On the plus side, I love the fresh, free, fruit-infused water (oranges, lemons, limes) available for self-service. The selection of wholesome baked goods is yummy, and the daily specials are fantastic. We had the shredded sweet potato hash with salmon, pumpkin scottish oat cakes, and a veggie-filled omelette that was one of the best I've ever had. I also ordered the chai granola a couple of times and each time received a vastly different portion in different containers. I don't know how much you're supposed to get for the price, but I do know the granola is AWESOME - not too sweet, filled with real coconut flakes, pepitas, pistachios and whole grains. (Not "filler" like most other places.) In general, I would not call the portions big - but they're enough. I would recommend ordering sides, soups or salads to fill out your meal. The quality of the food, the attention/friendliness of the staff, and the changing menu will keep me coming back for sure!

This restaurant is a gem. So cute and cozy. Relaxed atmosphere with a real emphasis on healthy eating. Vegetarian friendly. Staff is very helpful with menu. They have meals ready for take out in the refrigerator. Recommend trying those also. The food is not like everyone else. When ever I go to Ann Arbor I look forward to eating at the Juicy Kitchen.

On a bone-chillingly cold day, the chick pea vegetable soup really hit the spot. Pairing that with the blackberry salad was a great combination. It's been a little crowded for my tastes more than once but I picked a day unfit for man or beast to go so it was only about half full. Plenty of elbow room on this occasion. Great to know that anything you pick on the menu (nicely presented on the wall) will be a healthy choice.

Juicy Kitchen is a cozy hidden gem! Tucked in off of Maple it could be easy to pass by, but you shouldn't! I had breakfast here yesterday and this morning. Every item on the menus is prepared with thoughtfulness of health and flavor. They are open for breakfast and lunch only (I believe), but they have a great selection of prepared soups and salads for take away for an easy healthy dinner for your family.

Great food with a an emphasis on fresh, healthy eating. Excellent choice if you have special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). I've dined in the cafe as well as ordered catered meals more than once for an annual party (dinner for 10). Menu listed on the wall as you walk in as well as on the table. Also have weekly specials listed on a separate board. Please note: The cafe isn't large and can be crowded on weekend mornings. You order at the register and food is brought to you.

Nice menu with fresh ingredients and friendly staff. The seating area is a bit cramped but they have a small space so not much they can do about it. If you use the restroom, you walk through the kitchen. I thought about yelling "Surprise! Health Inspection!" but I thought better of it. I enjoyed the breakfast quesadilla and the nachos. Their coffee is mighty good.

Absolutely delicious! I am vegan and had the tempeh breakfast slider and a spelt donut. Both were fantastic. It was probably the best donut I've had since being vegan!!!! Very friendly service and chill atmosphere.

I got an omelette with toast and fresh fruit. The good news was it was excellent! Very fresh and tasty. The bad news was the toast was half a slice of toast and the fresh fruit was 3 pieces of fruit. It was also pretty expensive. It was crowded and I felt rushed to eat and get out as they only have about 6 tables.

This gem is hiding in a strip mall, but when you walk in the staff and atmosphere welcome you. The meal was so amazing I forgot to take a pic. The homemade cinnamon - latte syrup is delicious! My group had the omelet, the hot mess and the JK club and all cleaned our plates! The prices are appropriate considering the portion and local, high-quality ingredients.

Best kept secret in town for a great breakfast. Very friendly (slightly hippy) feel to the establishment which is small, so if you like your space, dine on an off day. Most importantly the food and coffee are delicious and fresh. It caters equally well to the vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free crowd as well the omnivore.

Went to this spot on the way home from Detroit to Chicago. Wanted a healthy breakfast after eating bad all weekend. When I searched breakfast/brunch locations this popped up on Yelp and I am so happy. Fresh, healthy, good food. We ordered the egg slider, the hot mess, and the hipster hash. We were all pleased with our meals. It was delicious real homemade food. We also had the baked doughnut and the date cookie. All were amazing. I will certainly be back here again. The owner was there working and she was so nice. Service was excellent!

Good place for brunch. Food is fresh with beautiful presentations. Two concerns cost a star: First, there was no seasoning on the food I ordered. No spices, herbs, salt nor pepper. Second, it's a tiny space where bar stools and high tables are cramped together.

Juicy Kitchen is quietly tucked away in a small, obscure shopping small. Don't let the location detour you from stopping. Locally sourced ingredients paired with freshly roasted coffee from Ann Arbor's own Mighty Good Coffee, make this an excellent place to eat a healthy meal. Try the Oatcakes with bacon. Very good. One note, breakfast for two will set you back $30. Worth it but a bit pricey.

We decided to try Juicy Kitchen because we saw tons of good reviews. We went there for breakfast around 9:30 and could get seated without any problems. We ordered french toast and eggs benedict with bacon. I wish poached eggs were runny, but it's ok. For the portion size, the price is a bit high. Food tasted good and light. Overall experience was positive.

  • Gary C.

I had the baked egg on sweet potatoes and kale; perhaps I was looking forward to it too much based on other reviews, but I thought it was just ok, nothing to write home about. My wife had the rueben; it was not as good as the one at Native Foods in CA, but my wife thought it was probably a lot less fattening and healthier. It just seemed like there wasn't much spice in the spicy sauce, and she would have liked some horseradish on it. It was good, and I would go there again to try a different dish. It definitely was friendly, cozy, and worth the trip.

What a great, cozy, find! I've been searching for new places to try for breakfast on the weekends and came to Yelp to do a search. Based on the reviews of others, I decided to try Juicy Kitchen this past weekend. I'm glad I did! My food was super fresh....I had the Sunday breakfast special which was created in honor of St Patty's Day--poached eggs over corned beef and cabbage. Delish. While you won't find this item on the menu now, you will find a nice change up every week, alongside the menu staples. While I sat and enjoyed my meal I eyed the other plates of food being delivered to nearby tables. Everything looked really good. I'm looking forward to a second visit, and soon!

Wanted something other than the hotel breakfast so I checked out reviews on Yelp and decided to try this place. Good decision. Had the Hot Mess breakfast sandwich, which was indeed a mess, but excellent. The service was top notch and as friendly as possible. The owner came out and thanked me for coming to the restaurant. Classy move. I only had the one sandwich so not ready to go to 5 stars yet but I would certainly come back here again.

Finally there is an interesting breakfast/brunch place in A2, and on the west side nonetheless! Tiny, tiny place but it is never disappointing. This is not a greasy spoon diner, the coffee is excellent and the food is very yummy. Highly recommended.

The food was very good the staff was welcoming and the coffee was much to my liking. Although the place was small, all the wood made it feel cozy rather than cramped. The quality of the food was very tasty and healthy, how did they manage that?

A wonderful spot in the neighborhood! Knowledgeable and friendly staff and healthy brunch options that are tasty and don't leave you hating yourself afterward. You may have come across the chef at Selma Cafe back when it was still on Soule, and she continues to impress here. Keep an eye on the chalk board for daily specials, refill your Roos Roast coffee, and take home an try the yummy but not too sweet blueberry pomegranate smoothie!

Reply to Susan T. I was there in the spring, when the weather was still cold. Maybe all the coats and scarves added to the cramped atmosphere; one person's "cozy" is my "claustrophobic". As to my bill, salad +tea +tax +tip = $14. On my fixed income, this is a splurge lunch. Your staff (you?) definitely served a small sauce cup-let of hummus on the Mediterranean Salad plate, which was appropriate to the flavor mix, although difficult to eat given the lack of bread and incomplete cutlery. Since it was my first time there, I had no idea of your no-bread custom - the order-taker who inquired if I wanted chicken should also have inquired if I wanted bread.

This review is for the cafe only - have not tried their take-home meals. Been here a couple times now, and their food is very tasty and ostensibly healthy/nutritious. Really enjoyed the baked eggs over sweet potato hash, and the stuffed french toast is light yet delicious. Haven't tried any of the specialty drinks, but the regular coffee is good (Mighty Good) and comes with free refills. I want to give them a 5-star rating, but the main sticking point is that the portion sizes are kind of skimpy - wish they would increase the quantity of food, even if they have to bump up the price. Unless you have a small appetite, one entree doesn't make a filling meal, yet two seems too much. Another thing that put me off is that there is an extra charge for paying by credit card. Also, the space is very small, so I would recommend avoiding peak hours and limiting group size. In spite of these things, the food is good enough that I plan to go back for more (perhaps I've been unlucky with my selections thus far). One way to get around the small portions: after finishing at Juicy Kitchen, head next door to El Harissa and get some gelato for dessert.

Want to go out for bunch, but not in the mood for some greasy bacon & eggs? Want to feel *healthier* when you stand up from the table? Need an infusion of veggie vitality to undo last night's poor life choices? BAM! Juicy Kitchen to the rescue. I have kept coming back, tried about half the menu, and have yet to be disappointed. Personal favorite is the baked french toast with cream cheese and caramelized apples... hits the sweet spot between hearty and healthy. Also, the coffee is delicious and bottomless, just as the good Lord intended it. The only downside is the location, in a little strip mall sandwiched between a liquor store and a dry cleaners -- hampers the al fresco ambiance, but not too much. And, I'm a little happy that it's hidden (for now).

What a pleasant surprise! From the outside, I was expecting just another hippy-dippy juice bar with the requisite hommus n' sprout wraps and unseasoned raw vegan whatnots. But no! The baked egg with vegetable hash and bok choy came with some of the most savory, melty, caramelized onions (done the real way) that I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. The vegetables were so fresh and flavorful, a welcome addition to my plate at the end of winter. The oatcakes were hearty and moist. Split pea soup was light and delicately flavored with tarragon. Normally I raise an eyebrow toward baked goods that include millet, but the crackly banana bread was incredible. The table next to us ordered the stuffed french toast which was huge and looked amazing, as did the omelet. Everything came with a side of beautiful berries and fruit. Orange juice was freshly squeezed. JK has mastered the delicate balance of making food both healthy and delicious. The menu offers something for everyone, whether you're looking for something light or heavy, and has plenty of options for those with particular dietary needs. Though located in a strip mall next to a liquor store, the space is cozy and bright. I wish it was located in my neighborhood. A real gem!

I ate brunch at Juicy Kitchen for the first time this with a friend this past week and I liked it so much that I told my sister about it and brought her there two days later! Not only was the food healthy, tasteful and innovative, but the the vibe of the restaurant was fresh and engaging. Both times that I have been there the servers were very cheerful and pleasant and made it feel like we were entering into their home. I would highly recommend spreading the word about Juicy Kitchen as a place where you can go to grab a high quality breakfast, lunch or coffee and leave feeling well nourished and energized!

We were looking for a new, delicious breakfast place on the west side. Went to Yelp and this place had perfect reviews and was very close. We were not disappointed one bit. Great food, AMAZING customer service and reasonable prices. I had the breakfast slider which was delicious. So full of flavor and it was the perfect size for a normal human being. My girl got the baked eggs and we were both blown away. The sauce that the eggs and sweet potatoes are served with was so good I can't describe in words all the flavor that was swirling around in my mouth. There are some other great healthy things on the menu I wish I had room for to try but that's why I'll be back again.....and again and again. Highly recommend!

I just found out about Juicy Kitchen this morning, what a needed kitchen on this side of town. I had a delicious muffin with shredded coconut and sat outside enjoying the morning sun. The atmosphere inside is very rich and relaxing. The service was friendly and the menu is rich in variety of wholesome foods. I can't wait to bring friends there for a full meal.

A very nice environment, although located in a drive way. It could have use a garden or some flowers on the front part. Other than that, food is delicious, plates look great, staff is very friendly. I would say it is a bit overpriced but makes you feel good anytime.

I recently went to a 50th birthday party catered by Juicy. The food was by far the best I have had at a party in Ann Arbor and the smoked Salmon was the best I have had EVER! The food was displayed just as good as it tasted. We are looking forward to eating at the restaurant very soon!

Great food, friendly staff, what a find! The greens are fresh off the farm. The food is wonderful, so far the soups, the salads, the chicken salad is so tasty and healthy, ther home made Veggie burgers are beyond amazing. I love my meat, and usually veggie burgers are simply subpar substitutes for me. Not the case here, this Veggie Burger stands alone with such a blend of flavor, I am a total convert. Whether you want chicken, or Vegan or Gluten Free, they have a health and wonderful tasting meal for you. GRK Ann Arbor

Juicy Kitchen in Ann Arbor is a true gem. It's hard to believe that they can make healthy, local, organic food taste so good. I am a vegetarian and oddly enough, don't like most vegetables. but JK makes them taste so good, even I eat them. Devour them!! I've had a few of their salads and they are the freshest salads I've ever tasted. I've eaten at many 4, 5-star fancy schmancy restaurants in my lifetime and JK totally goes toe-to-toe with them. I've never tried their sandwiches but they all sound delicious. Their bakes goods are also divine, and are as healthy as can be. I am so impressed with how extensive their menu is for being such a small place. The service there is really good, too. They are really friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell that your satisfaction really matters to them. and you can tell that they all love being there. The only downside is the location; it's in a seedy stripmall that backs to a tattoo parlor and is next to a liquor store. I am completely confident, however, that JK will continue to wow everyone in Ann Arbor and someday soon will move to a more appropriate location. It's just THAT good. It's a must-try!!!!

I had breakfast at this new restaurant this morning. I had the egg slider with veggie and bacon. It was delicious and the bun was very tasty. My husband had the stuffed french toast that was really outstanding. Nice fresh fruit was available for both. My plan is to make my way down each of the breakfast items and try lunch and take home items as well.

This is a fantastic (mainly) vegetarian place in a neighborhood that needs more cool places. I had missed Reubens since I went vegetarian twenty years ago; their tempeh Reuben was better than I remembered them being. I also sampled the zucchini grilled cheese with pesto dip, which was excellent. And the (apparently) vegan coleslaw was perfect. Can't wait to try their breakfast, which also seems to combine tastiness with healthiness. The place is small, so once the word gets out more, it may be hard to get a table. In the summer there are also outdoor tables.

This is my favorite place to go for breakfast in Ann Arbor! So cute and the food is delicious, creative, and healthy and I absolutely love the fresh cut flowers, decor, and fact that you can see them cook your meals right in the kitchen. I went one saturday morning and went back three saturdays in 1 month. All they need is a bigger space for more tables :)

I hired Juicy Kitchen to do the catering for my son's rehearsal dinner at the Chelsea Depot in Chelsea, Michigan. They were wonderful to work with and went out of their way to make things easy. We had countless complements on the delicious food which was presented beautifully and was more than enough for everyone. The servers also were pleasant and professional. I can't say enough about Juicy Kitchen. They are the top of the line.

Amazing brunch food, for an amazing price. Coffee is refilled as you would expect at a brunch restaurant, but it's quality is awesome. The restaurant for sit down is a bit cramped, but you can sit outside on a nice day which is a wonderful experience.

  • Jane A.

The place is cramped and for someone who didn't know the menu or flow of things was a little uncomfortable. We were in town for a wedding and after driving through the night needed breakfast. We decided on here based on reviews as well as their gluten free options. We decided on the oatmeal cakes and the gluten free club sandwich. The oatmeal cakes were filling and, with fruit, had a fulfilling sweetness. The gluten free club kinda fell apart in my hands. I loved the avocado but wanted less 'sauce' on it. It came with a little side salad that left much to be desired. I picked out a blueberry or two but that's it. We also had a side of bacon which seemed very expensive for what it was. Service was just different, I guess. As you order and pay up front- but that isn't really clear off the bat. But they did check on us and clear the table.

I asked my daughter to choose a healthy place for breakfast/brunch in Ann Arbor. Juicy Kitchen was an excellent choice. We both ordered coffee and read through the entire menu. So much good stuff to choose from! We settled on Good Morning Sunshine, and two Hot Messes. We wanted to lick the plates! Tasty, wholesome, and all sorts of delicious superlatives. It is definitely a place we will visit again to work our way through the menu - and into the lunch/dinner menu as well. Juicy Kitchen is located in a strip center, so parking is limited. Also, the café itself is not very big (fewer than 10 tables), so seating is at a premium. With lots of walk-in traffic, and table turnover, the cashier/waitstaff were a bit slow on clearing/wiping tables in order for other folks to sit. However, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Give it a shot, and get some good food for your day!

If you like meat, you will love Juicy Kitchen's meat. We had a tenderloin of pork that was the tenderest I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and so full of flavor. I wish I could get meat like this to make at home! It was served with butternut squash topped with pomegranate, and Brussels sprouts. Just delicious.

We were looking for a breakfast place that served something other than the standard eggs/meat/potatoes, something healthier and with more interesting offerings. This was perfect. There were only 8 tables, dining area is small but the food is delicious. I had the daily omelet special, my dining companion had the daily quiche special. Both were made with very fresh ingredients and served with nice fresh fruit and greens. We both had lattes which were beautifully made and very good, which is hard to find. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. They have done a nice job with making the most of a small space, nicely decorated. Has that cozy, neighborhood feel. We need to be in that area tomorrow and are probably going back.

Had soup for lunch at the new Juicy Kitchen Cafe. I had a delicious seafood bisque, and my husband had a bean/lentil soup that was also very very good. We will go there again, and maybe pick up some of the ready made food they had packaged for take out.

Just visited the new Juicy Kitchen cafe on Maple. JOY! It's a bright, friendly space. More important, the menu is chock full of delicious, fresh, and healthy items! I had a breakfast sandwich with eggs, veggies, and bacon and took a salad to go. The bakery case is bursting with yummy looking treats, ranging from homemade banana bread to healthy, oatmeal cookies (sweetened with banana) and baked donuts. Mighty Good coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Easy parking. I'm thrilled to have this cafe in the neighborhood.

Having moved back to Ann Arbor from Portland, Oregon one thing I've missed is the café culture. But since discovering Juicy Kitchen I've found a great way to fill the void in my heart and appetite. What makes JK work so well is the obvious love and culinary intelligence of the proprietress, Susan. Everything from the menu, the décor, to the happy hipster helpers conveys a quiet but profound confidence. Juicy Kitchen is clearly run by someone who both knows and loves exactly what she's doing. The food balances both comfort and conscientiousness. Between visits I crave an omelet or the tempe Rueben, but everything I've had has made me feel both healthy and spoiled. Even the water is unique- infused with fruits, herbs, even cucumber slices. I have yet to find a more mindful use of a café that wasn't on one of the coasts. Anyone who craves that culture or cuisine will love the Juicy Kitchen.

the Juicy Kitchen Cafe is tucked away in a nice little NW Ann Arbor neighborhood corner strip (off N. Maple Rd at Miller Rd) as casually as a four leaf clover amongst a patch of wild flowers, and you're just as lucky to discover it. inside it's reminiscence of a downtown chic pacific NW cafe, tall tables on one side with low wood benches on the other. sidewalk cafe seating available, complete with outdoor heat lamps and blankets for chilly fall days. order cafe style up front after the challenge of picking just one or two of the amazingly creative, delectable and healthy dishes for breakfast or lunch (even plentiful dinner to go options). I tried the mocha there and have been completely spoiled by it's demure sweetness! Now I haven't found anywhere else that makes a mocha that's anything close to being nearly as chocolatey smooth as JK's Cafe. I've had a few different omelet specials - all of them hearty and tantalizing combinations of vegetables with cheese - each plate of food comes with salad greens and fruit. Down to every detail the food is so flavorful, nourishing and complete. I sampled the quiche my friend got and we savored then raved about it - the light yet dynamic flavor. But beyond my wildest culinary desires I have to say Juicy Kitchen has THE BEST Tempeh Reuben!!! Nothing compares to Juicy Kitchen's Tempeh Reuben (except maybe the Del Rio when it was around).
