I would expect a place that specializes in bagels and has bagels in the name has some consistency with bagels in the eight hours they are open. I would also expect that their bagels maintain freshness in those eight hours. This was absolutely not the case. The bagel I had must have been atleast a day old and even after it was toasted it was very stale and hard. It was very disappointing and safe to say the worst bagel I've had from a bagel shop. The cream cheese wasn't much better. It was your average veggie cream cheese. Nothing fresh about it but it wasn't awful. The ice coffee was good. I would go back for that. The second star is really for the good ice coffee and the hopes that I will try a bagel again and it will be much better.

You don't know what you have until it's gone, and my morning Mr. Bagel itch has gone unscratched for longer than I'd like to contemplate. The staff here is very friendly, and if you're a regular, they'll remember you and get it going as you stand in line. The bagels are exceptional - dense and chewy, like they're supposed to be - and each flavor shines through, even on the super, or everything, style. The only drawback is as others have mentioned about the chain - they close too soon, and run out of stuff, so get there early!!

Mr. Bagel is easily the best bagel joint in Maine. Consistently excellent bagels and the Yarmouth branch is fun, upbeat and staffed by some really great people.

Really great bagels, pretty decent prices, not the best employees.

We stopped here in July on a Sunday to pick up a quick lunch. It turned out to be so good we stopped again on the way back on Tuesday. Poppyseed bagels with cream cheese - loads of poppy seeds and cream cheese! Chicken pesto wrap was "okay" but the favorite was the Gobbler wrap - real carved turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo - so good that we stopped again on the way back and three of us got it. Super clean rest room, too. Lost star is because at 1 pm Tuesday afternoon there were three bagels left in the whole place - one salt and two cinnamon raisin. Bummer - maybe they still don't have the whole supply/demand thing worked out. Or Mainers only eat bagels in the morning, I don't know. Really nice staff, pretty good list of wraps, large beverage selection, and easy off the highway.

Who the heck has a bagel shop and 10am on a Saturday morning runs out of plain, poppy and sesame bagels. Especially plain bagels. Dang, make some more would ya. Mister Bagel, it should be called Mister Maybe we have Bagels.

Great bagels and a huge variety of different, delicious cream cheeses. They do tend to run out of flavors quickly so make sure to get there early. The staff is all super nice and friendly except for this one girl who checks every single bill I've ever payed with to make sure it's not a counterfeit. Really? You're going to make a big to-do because you think I am using a fake five dollar bill to pay for my bagel? Makes me feel kinda awkward and untrusted as a regular customer. However, everyone else is super nice and they always have tons of coffee made.
