Our new go to breakfast spot! Coffee was fresh and piping hot, just the way I like it. Homemade veggie hash was beyond scrumptious...fresh chunks of vegetables and seasoned perfectly! We split a homemade blueberry muffin on the grill which was equally as amazing. Excellent homemade dishes and great experience :-)

Everything is homemade here. English muffins are about 3x as thick as a standard EM, with a texture similar to a soft pastry or biscuit. I got eggs Benedict - sooo good. Stay away from the juices here - otherwise, you really can't go wrong. Service is friendly and efficient. Overall GREAT experience, can't wait to go back!

There food is good, place can be extremely packed on the weekends parking is a pain in the ass the prices are fairly cheap but there waitresses can be rude and ignore you. Because I was ignored and disrespected the entire sitting of my breakfast I will not be going back to The bakery

Great little hole in the wall restaurant. Western omelet is delicious and when they have waffles on the menu, you must try. Everything on the menu is great. The only downfall is that it is dated but that is what makes it what it is.

Wicked awesome warm cinnamon roll. Biggest I've ever seen. However I am ruined forever after having the Eggs Benedict because I can't get that homemade luscious English bread at home out west. No Benny will ever compare. If you go to Chutes you must try it. With Ham, Lobster, Spinach or the special. Also they have a HUGE special menu. Biggest portions ever and four of us ate for under 40 bucks. Also the signs on the wall are quite hilarious (Unattended children will be given espresso and a puppy) and the decor is really charming with teapots and local country art. I think half the servers are related to the owners and are very attentive and seem to remember most of the people coming in. It's super busy on weekends, but you can call ahead and get your name on the list. They seated us when our whole party arrived. That seems fair. They're not afraid of big parties.

On a Saturday just before noon the parking lot was jammed, but by 12:40 the hordes had thinned. The country kitchen theme is strong here. Bacon and blueberry muffin were good, French toast was just all right. There are some gigantic, reasonably-priced breakfast platters on the menu for people who aren't picky egg-haters like me. Service very friendly and prompt.

You can see the pictures I added. Our food was plentiful and overall tasty. WE came on our way to Tassel Top for a family beach day. Everyone felt full (after a decent wait on a Saturday morning) and the cost was low; thanks in part to a special coupon my dad had from "Daily Chicken"(?). He and my mom have been before and thus our visit. I'd be fine going back to try a lunch item next visit up that way...

We came to Windham for a week long vacation and found Chutes through Yelp. It was so good our first day that we came here for breakfast every day. It's that good. Food is outstanding and so is the service. Don't hesitate.

I love Chutes! The service is wicked good; the waitresses are very pleasant and the food comes quickly. The homemade bread is SO GOOD especially the English muffins. They just had a pulled pork hash special and it was delicious. Definitely stop by if you're looking for breakfast in Windham !

Stopped in for breakfast on a random winter Monday morning - it was packed! You sign yourself in on the clip board and then wait for your name to be called. You won't be seated unless everyone in your party is present. It's not fancy, it's kind of like being at an old Aunt's house but the breakfast was perfect. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the English muffin was divine and the bacon was crispy. The OJ was a little meh - tasted like concentrate/sweetened but husband declared the coffee delicious. $20 for 2 huge breakfasts and drinks - it's a deal!

We were driving home at the end of a road trip, and were looking for something filling and easy. We did have to wait just a bit, but even with a line ahead of us, the wait wasn't too long. As it was our first trip to Maine, the waitress claimed theirs was the best in the state when I inquired about the lobster benedict. The price was very reasonable, so I did get it. It was pretty good. My daughter had an omelet which looked delicious - nice big pieces of vegetables and sausage throughout. They had delicous-looking huge cinnamon rolls, but we didn't have room to try one because we were so full from our meal. I would definitely frequent this place if I lived closer. It's also right next to a very colorful upscale second-hand clothing store, which I would also frequent if I could.

Food was bland and very divey but being one of the one places for breakfast in Windham you really don't have a choice unless you go to portland or south portland

Went here with my father for breakfast I had the Irish Benidict, was amazing, homemade English muffins topped w corn beef hash, eggs and holaindase sauce! Portion size was amazing for the price! The wait staff is very friendly and attentive! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaraunt to anyone wanting delicious food on a budget, the bill for 2 people and a healthy slice of ham for Big B (dad's dog) was only $22.00...

Chutes is more than a diner, it's the brick and mortar of our community. The people are earnest, caring people who genuinely care for their patrons. The food is what gets you in the door, the people bring you back. For food, I'd try the hash. I'm a huge fan of the buffalo chicken hash but try them all! Always consider the specials menu. They put a lot of pride in mixing up specials offerings.

Terrific food, good price (partly due to a coupon), great beginning to our beach day. I got the Cajun sweet potato hash with andouille sausage, peppers, cheddar cheese, and scrambled eggs and wheat toast. I really enjoyed my meal! The scrambled eggs were alright and sweet potato isn't really my thing most of the time, but the sausage was delicious and really pulled it all together. However, there is a large problem I see with Chute's: they feature several varieties of hash at breakfast, including the classic corned beef hash, but they don't make the corned beef hash, they get it from a can. When you think of hash, you think of that (or hashish). They make all of the other hashes in house. IF YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR YOUR HASH, MAKE THE ONE MOST PEOPLE WILL BE ORDERING IN-HOUSE. Anyway, that's the way I figure it. My father-in-law also got an order of Finnish toast, a sweet cinnamon-y bread (with some other flavor we couldn't identify). My wife enjoyed her chicken fajita hash with scrambled eggs. Also -- the bathroom door was rather difficult to open, always seemed to be locked and in use even when it was not. Despite the bathroom door and the corned beef hash thing, 5 stars.

This is a hole in the wall place with great service and great food. My wife and I both had specials. She had a lobster omelette and I had the sausage and mushroom omelette. The portions are normal, not over the top big and the prices are appropriate. The muffins are amazingly good. My only disappointment was they weren't on yelp yet.

As a man of larger carriage I appreciate a good Sausage, Gravy, and Biscuit...Chute's makes the best. Their biscuits are buttery and soft - sausage has just enough kick and the gravy is emm emm good. I beg you to stop here and try a muffin, even if you're not hungry. When it come's to Chute's gluttony is a good thing.

My favorite place to have breakfast out. Really good food, loads of inventive choices as well as traditional. Fast friendly service. Amazing baked goods. Does get really crowded, so allow for that on weekends. Consistent.

The food was ok, it was cheap so that made up for the mediocracy of the food. My waitress was really nice and checked on me a couple times, in fact all of the staff was really friendly. I felt really bad for the girls working there because they all had to wear denim dresses, I didn't know those still existed! It's worth the price and maybe I just got the wrong thing.

Great, casual and affordable breakfast places. The eggs Benedict is fantastic and made with their signature English muffin which is huge. My family also tried the pancakes (pretty good) and the biscuits and gravy (good). Service was very good, quick and friendly.

I have a feeling that this will be our new breakfast haunt. There are some great "Brunch" places in Portland, but what about breakfast? How about a place with honest, fair priced, country style breakfasts? Where can I get a cinnamon bun that fills a dinner plate? Chutes! Food: We usually stick with eggs, tubers, breakfast animal (usually bacon) and toast. GET THE OATMEAL COUNTRY bread! This makes this meal an amazing repeatable offense. Coffee? Not bad at all. Ask about the flavors. Your cup will never be empty Service: A great combination of friendly and sassy. Perfect! Verdict: If you don't want to spend dinner bucks on breakfast then hunt for a parking spot and put your name on the waiting list. You won't be disappointed!
