Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.

The staff here welcomed us with open arms, good burgers, great cocktails (cheap!!) and the best lobster roll my brother says he's ever had. And my brother is somewhat of a lobster roll snob, so that's saying a lot.

Food was pretty good. Fries were seemingly homemade. I enjoyed my meal, and so did my gf. It was VERY noisy at one point inside though, so keep that in mind if you're trying to have a dinner and conversation with friends. Good food and decent service though!

Just finished dinner. Waitress said it was her first night. She was very attentive, answered our questions and did an overall great job. We had the lobster roll. Good amount of meat, could've used some seasoning. Served with fries $15.99 special tonight. Childrens haddock meal $6.99 served with fries. A good portion. My son enjoyed and couldn't finish. 2 combo platter of whole belly clams and sea scallops served with fries for $20.99. The portion was good, but our favorite place gives a bigger portion for the same price. However, I'd still come back here and recommend this place. It was cooked just right. Shipyard pumpkin ale $5 draft. Tall absolut vodka and cranberry $7. A little light on the vodka. Peanut butter pie to go so I can't comment on that yet. Plenty of parking. Has lots of tvs to catch up on the games. A full bar. Looks like the locals come here which always says come back.

We ate outside for a late lunch and it was really relaxing a great burgers. I also had the lobster soup SO GOOD. The staff was all very pleasant and good about checking up on us but not annoying lol. I would definitely eat here again when in town. Waitress was sweet.

Great burgers and the buffalo chicken dip was awesome. Martinis are perfect and the beers are ice cold. Great spot for cheap but quality eats.

Went here for a bite to eat before we went out for my boyfriend's birthday back in January, 2015. Nice setup, the waitress was super nice, and everybody's food was good.....except for mine. I ordered a cheeseburger medium/medium-well, and it was barely cooked. Yuck! But three out of four of us enjoyed their food, so I figured three out of five stars would be appropriate. I would gladly come back here for a few beers, but probably never to eat.

My wife and I sat down here on our way back from a day in Portland. We got the drinks dropped at the table and at that time I noticed a smell of public restroom cleaners(that's all I can say to describe it). I almost got up and left but we were too hungry. We toughed it out and ordered food. My wife was incredibly surprised with a fresh salad with good dressing. The wings were good. I ordered a cheese pizza off the late night menu. It was delicious. The burger the man at a table over looked good too. To our surprise, this place delivered some tasty bar food at a reasonable price. It is opened late in comparison to surrounding restaurants, so if you are looking for some late night drinks and some food, this is the spot!

Pretty terrible experience here. It all started when we walked in for a late bite and some guy yelled a disgusting profanity from the bar. We sat down and ordered fried fish plates, steak tips and prime rib, which you apparently can only order medium. I'm honestly shocked we didn't get sick from the steak plates, as they were absolutely disgusting. Fried fish plates were okay. When we were leaving, we noticed a lot of intoxicated bikers at the bar and outside. Strange place, but maybe a bad night.

We enjoyed our time at Litchfield's. The beer was cold and the food was good. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon in the winter to watch the Pats game and the bar was big--plenty of seats for people to sit and watch. The bartender was also very friendly and gave us good conversation. We had nachos which were average, but the fried clams were very good. Onion rings were delicious as well. I'm sure during the summer this place would be a hot spot. Hope to try it out then!

It was great. Got off the freeway on our way to Sugarloaf from Boston. What a great surprise. The staff was super, the Reuben and the lobster roll were great. Happy we randomly popped in here.

Tried out this place because it really was all that was open ( 8:30pm) and had cars out front. We were kindly greeted and sat in a booth. The waitress was nice and got us our drinks. We ordered the captains platter, cup of chowder and a side of home made baked beans. All the food was tasty and enjoyable. This place is more of a tavern than a quiet restaurant. There was a serious hockey game on TV and the bar was loud and our server was sucked into the game... It took a little time to get our check. Good place ! We will be back.

Did takeout from here back in August 2012. We all enjoyed our meals - seafood, fish, chicken parm, kids tenders. Inside looked like a place we would visit before we had our rug rat. A nice pub with decent food. Will be going again when we are in the area.

A friend and I went here for the first time today. I had the haddock basket. It was delicious. The fish was moist and flaky and the batter was light and not greasy. My friend had the prime beef sandwich that had thinly sliced roast beef with onions and horseradish mayo. She liked it so much, she wants to come back on Thursday! This is definitely a bar and grill type of restaurant without the dankness one sometimes associates with the name. It's clean and open and our waitress Susie was wonderful. It's great for all ages and has a menu that ranges from hamburgers to char grilled oysters. I highly recommend this casual eatery and plan on returning soon. It's so nice to have a restaurant in Wells that serves good food and is open year round.

Great nachos and onion rings. Good selection of beer and friendly staff. Lots of viewing options for Sunday football.

There were some good and bad points. While the chicken tenders were good, they tasted too much like fried fish. While I don't mind fish, the familiar fried clam taste is not something I wanted on my chicken. The fries were good. While I thought the cole slaw was normal, my husband thought it was soggy. The honey mustard is phenomenal! Now, my Caesar salad, on the other hand, was a very big disappointment. More than 1/2 of the romaine lettuce in my bowl was the core. In fact, large clumps of the yellow core was still in tact. As we all know, the core has a more bitter taste. They were all picked out and pushed to the side. I also had many center pieces and could count on one hand how many green pieces of lettuce were in the bowl. I felt like I had a bowl of scraps. They were all pieces I normally throw away at home. The croutons were cute. Cute, because they were so small that you couldn't taste them. They were about the size of plain M&M's. The dressing, or lack there of, was basic. I contemplated asking for more to mask the bitter lettuce, but I ended up resorting to taking some of my husband's honey mustard for that task along with adding some moisture to the chicken I paid extra for on the salad. While it was tasty, it was incredibly dry. Our waitress was nice. Needless to say, I'm not optimistic I would go back, but if they were the only restaurant open and we were in the area AND hungry, we might try, again, but I will stay clear of the salads. As a local in Maine, I will NOT drive specifically there to eat.

Great wings and beer selection! The friendly staff was very attentive and let us put on any game we wanted. Will definitely be here again for another game.

Visited this fall while in town. Tod bought the place which reopened late this summer and did a great job. Very fun atmosphere, friendly servers (Celina and Melanie), fantastic bartender, Emma...she's a superstar back there! The Beardo loved his seafood combo. Tod's special Greek salad and dressing were fresh. Very professional. We will return!

Happy hour beer - the ONLY reason to go here. Hell - the locals bailed out after the special, and none of them had food. We unfortunately had the nachos - with chicken. It was the size of a handful of chips, hardly any toppings, and a COMPLETE RIP OFF. Not to mention made completely wrong. Just all wrong. Cheap beer - yes. Food- No.

We will definitely return to Litchfields Bar. There is a large bar area, very inviting . It was a beautiful evening tonight so we sat outside. They have a nice fenced in area with tables and bean bag toss games. We enjoyed the mozzarella stix. I loved the lobster roll. The onion rings were thin and nicely battered. The prime rib sandwitch and burger were delicious. The service was excellent.
(4)Kara H.
Tried this restaurant while visiting my parents - They have a great outdoor area for relaxing. The location is more of a bar/pub environment then a full restaurant. The service was good. Food was good. I would like to go there for happy hour or to meet friends, not really a place to dine with my aging parents.
(3)Kathleen S.
Please folks, give it another chance. A few weeks ago, when we heard that Litchfields was again UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, we decided to give it another try. We had tried it after the big renovation that turned it from a nice family restaurant into a sports bar/pizza pub/arcade/WTF a year and 1/2 ago. The people who have now taken it over have decided to go with the sports pub/family restaurant scene and it works. The bar is very large and the bartenders and waitstaff are extremely attentive and friendly. The pub food is solid...good nachos and sandwiches and very good, reasonably priced drinks. We have been twice, sitting at the bar to watch Bruins games (sniff..sniff go Bruins 2013). Both times, our service was excellent and super-friendly. The billboard sign at the entrance says that the owners were voted as making the best burgers in New England. They really were excellent. Weirdly, I tried the bacon/peanut butter burger (it sounds awful) and it was really awesome. We will be back, particularly when the summer crowd makes the thought of driving Route 1 south unbearable.
(4)suzie q.
Not good to say the very least. The best thing I can say is the server had the best of intentions and was sweet serving us the inedible food. We were a large party and none of us had a good word to say. The pizza tastes frozen along with the fried app type thingys, its almost like they empty their freezer and drop it all in the fryer. Burgers were burnt on the outside and raw in the center. I hate to write a review like this, but maybe the owners will see it and try to fix it all.....

Besides being the sit-down restaurant that stays open the latest in Wells, it is probably the best food as well. I can honestly say that the best fish I've ever had was at Litchfield's: the Haddock. Their Haddock was amazing. My girlfriend informs me her seafood pasta was the best she's ever had. The atmosphere was comfortable and they had a live piano player playing. Service was great, food was great.

WORST MEAL EVER! This was such an embarressment. I brought two clients for dinner and I'm so upset with the service and especially the food. The young waitress didn't have a clue. That was the first red flag. I tried to explain to her that I couldn't have bacon or ham on my salad. That was it. Just no bacon or ham. My clients ordered the broiled haddock and the roast chicken with a side of stuffing. As soon as the haddock was set in front of him I gasped. The piece of haddock was the size of a chicken tender. This was 17.00! We all looked at each other and we were not happy. The other plate had a piece of stuffing that was 2" x 2" and as rubbery as a ball. She was not happy at all. Then my salad looked at least salvagable until I put my fork in it and under the lettuce, I pulled out ham. I told the waitress I couldn't have ham and she said I hadn't told her that. The other patron showed her that the fish was a very small portion for 17.00. She said she was sorry and couldn't do anything about it. I told her that I lived here in town and was treating two clients to dinner and this is what represents Wells as a restaurant. She walked away and came back and asked "Are you friends with the owners?". We were so done with this meal. I couldn't believe it. Then some bald headed man walks up to the table and obviosly hasn't been in the restaurant business long at all. He said we tried to help you but you didn't want us to do anything. I asked him what he was going to do to try to make this situation any better. He said he couldn't do anything and kept talking. It was such a bad experience. Please do not bring even family here. That was horrible. Just horrible. What an embarressment to the town of Wells.
