Just rating the lobster roll here. People have complained that I don't venture down east. I think Perry, Maine is far enough down. The roll was ok. A little heavy on the mayo. There was iceberg lettuce! The meat wasn't that sweet and a little mushy. With pretty good onion rings that came out of a freezer the roll set me back $13.99.

Looking for that place the locals eat at? This is it! After you make a stop in Eastport, have something to eat at the New Friendly. It's like eating at home but better.

Great prices, Great food! We stopped here last year and my husband still talks about the yummy generous portions on their lobster roll!

Excellent our family ate there twice and both times food was fantastic as was the service. Value was also great. Bogh times we were a large party first 14 then 11 people and both times they accomodated us. Fish great. Burgers great. Sides yum. Poutine super.

This restaurant is off Rt. 1 the Coastal Highway of Maine and is worth stopping at for the lobster roll. For $14.99, you get a lobster roll and your choice of 2 sides (potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, mashed potatoes, french fries, etc.). The lobster roll has an insane amount of lobster on it, to the point where I made my own "lobster mashed potatoes". The baked beans were good but not quite sweet enough for my taste. Depending on how you like your lobster roll, I would say there is a little too much mayo on the lobster but overall it was very good and worth the money.
