Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We stopped in for a Large Turkey Oven Grinder to eat while lounging on Willard Beach. To accompany said grinder, we had a small bag of chips and one Pepsi-cola. The Grinder was tasty, stuffed to the max with goodies and the perfect amount to share as a beach-snack. The Pepsi and chips accompanied the Grinder like champions of the sea. (Thank you Pepsi and Frito-Lay for those products, which were reasonably priced.) The Lady who took our order was friendly and the gentleman who assembled our grinder was efficient and wise.* I'd definitely hit up another beach snack, perhaps a pizza next time. *I assume.

"SoPoHoPo," as my friends and family affectionately call it, has been a staple growing up and living in South Portland. This area of sopo is certainly growing and becoming much more hip (Elsmere, Scratch, Willard Scoops, Otto are all relatively recent additions to the area), yet sopohopo keeps true to their no frills neighborhood pizza place vibe. They have super delicious, classic pizza and it's a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. They have booths but no servers- you order your food and seat yourself and one of the lovely staff members will bring it right to your table when its ready, so you get the service but don't have to deal with getting the check and those sorts of things. The staff is definitely a backbone to the shop. The owner is super friendly as is everyone else who works here. While I highly recommend the pizza, I also often go for the Chicken Souvlaki sub, which is surprisingly delicious. The chicken parm sub is another family favorite. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the price. Unfortunately the prices have gone up a bit and seem a bit steep to me. Fortunately, they have daily deals which are awesome. There is a sign right on the counter to notify you of that. Also, the last time I went with three friends we ordered two pizzas and large fries and he ended up giving us all four fountain sodas for free! I highly recommend this pizza joint. Don't be deceived by the gas station location- the inside is great and welcoming, the staff is phenomenal, and the food is delicious! My usual: Veggie pizza, french fries, and fountain soda.

Great grinders ! We stopped to get lunch to take to Portland Head Lighthouse. The staff was very nice. The grinders were really good ! Great Italian and Cheesburger sub. Place was clean, just needs some minor repairs and updates. If not for that I would give it 5 stars for the food and hospitality .

Grew up right near this place and we frequented it most weekends. My parents still do once in a while! This is a great local business. Many of my classmates worked here and the owner is friendly, funny, and always remembers our orders. I don't usually eat in but they have quite a lot of seating available. Great to grab some food to go for the beach! The subs are my favorite.

A locally owned, family run pizza place that consistently turns out delicious, fresh food. How I crave their broccoli pizza fresh out of the oven, so hot it burns your mouth. And not a day goes by that I don't think of their Greek salad and the warm rolls directly from the oven, served with warm butter. It's enough to make me want to make another trip home!

In my opinion, the pizza was kind of bland and not very good. To each their own, though. I'd go with Pizza Joint in South Portland before this place even though PJ is a bit more expensive.
