Melt in your mouth roles with heavenly cinnamon butter, fall off the bone ribs and country music all the time helps to make this a great dinner spot to me. I also am really appreciative of how friendly and on point the staff is. If you have a peanut allergy stay far away. Peanuts everywhere.

Had a terrible experience. They charged me 17.99 for a fatty, greasy and tasteless ribeye that wasn't even a ribeye. I should have taken a picture. It was disgusting. Paid full price, 20something manager tried teling me how steak works. A joke. Terrible chain, eat somewhere else

As far as chain restaurants go, Texas Roadhouse is probably my favorite. Their steaks are always solidly good and their rolls and Italian salad dressing are probably reason enough to go. I also like their country style fried chicken breast and their cherry limeade. Service is always decent and the only negative I'd throw out is that it's pretty loud.

I've been here a few times now and the atmosphere and the employees are fantastic!! The food is incredible and drinks are wonderful as well!! The cinnamon butter is brilliant!!! Everytime I've had steak it's been cooked to perfection!! The peanuts are of course delicious too.

If you are looking for a high end stea house that you might come to expect in Old Port or downtown, then this is not going ot be the place for you. But don't let the fact that it is a chain steakhouse hinder you from partaking in the Texas Roadhouse experience. Every single time that the family and I have been here we have been able to occupy the little person in the family with peanut shells on the floor and acting messy when otherwise kept in check. Also the service has never been an issue her with the restaurant and the staff taking care of us. They have always been friendly and outgoing and fun. This last vist was no exception to the rule in the fact that I had a large garden salad with delicious creamy buttermilk ranch dressing (which my wife and I have been looking for in the grocery stores to compare to but to no avail) and had the double pork chops with mixed veggies on the side (the salad was the other side) and the chops were tasty and very flavorful. The wife had steak tips with a loaded baked sweet potato and she said it was delicious and my son had the kids steak tips and they also were cooked to perfection as we asked for medium well for him. We have always been a fan of the yeast rolls that they have that can be lathered with the tasty cinnamon butter that are unlimited refills and usually the staff is right on top of it to be back for refills of drink and rolls. The main reason for the lacking of 5 stars for a chain restaurant is the fact that the lines are always jam packed because of all of the Wal-Mart folks scurrying over after shopping so you have to hit it at the right time if you don't want to wait for umpteen hours to get in (we have stopped in to see the wait and left various times before) but that also can be a good sign that people like the food unlike a lot of the reviews here on Yelp. If you want a good place to take the kids, a place to get a good steak for a semi-reasonable price and have a country style feel to everything, head over to this place.

Ordered a ribeye got a sirloin tried to tell the waitress in the manager and they both continued to lie to me and say it was a ribeye..... I've had a lot of steaks and I know the difference so !!! I don't really mind the fact that they brought the wrong steak but at least own up to it. Food overall wasn't too bad but the manner of service and not telling the truth doesn't go well with this chain and everywhere else we've been is great with the Texas Roadhouse

We had a very delicious meal. The ribeye and sirloin steaks cook the way we like. The grilled shrimp was full of flavor. We are please as we knew we would be. We enjoyed our dinner. The lemonades were banging.

I've been to Texas Roadhouse a handful of times and have yet to leave disappointed, or without a ton of left overs! They have a great deal where you can choose between 10 entrees for 8.99 if you come in before 6pm on weekdays. I like to take my parents here because there is a big menu and there's always something for everyone. I almost always choose the chicken fritters dinner with the loaded sweet potato and Caesar salad. The free bread and cinnamon butter that you get here is awesome too! I always ask for more so I can stick some in my To Go box for later. The wait staff is always pleasant. Sign up for the text club and you get a coupon for a free appetizer.

I've dined at this restaurant many times and cannot remember ever being disappointed. Always a friendly waitstaff, always excellent food. Of course you cant go wrong with the steak or prime rib, and the salmon is really good as well. There can be quite a wait at the usual times.. weekends/holidays, but they do have call ahead seating.

FOOD: 3.5/4 (5/5 for their dinner rolls with apple cinnamon butter) SERVICE: 4/5 Honestly, I really love their dinner rolls. They are soft, buttery pieces of goodness that are served hot and leaves your taste buds wanting more. Everything else in comparison is just average. More so than not, the steaks are never cooked the way you order them. For example, I like to eat my steaks medium well with a slight pink to them. However, when I get my steak it's always well done and tough to chew. There are times when it has been done right but like I said it doesn't happen too often in my experience. If it wasn't done right, they always ask if they could get you another one - so at that point it's your choice to wait another 15 minutes to get a new steak or not. Recommended: * Peanuts * Mash Potatoes (side) * Rice (side) * Blooming onion (appetizer) * Dinner rolls!! * Ribs - delicious, mostly falling off the bone Not recommended: * Pulled pork - not tender/juicy, not worth the $$ * 50/50 chance that you may not get it cooked the way you want it You can call in advance for reservations. It gets pretty busy during dinner time.

Management really cares here. Although a chain, they work to put out quality food and not phone in the corporate basics. The staff is extremely friendly and overall everything has been consistently above par. Thats probably why they're packed to the gills all the time. Case in point, a few months back when the staff learned it was my first time in the manager came by to say hello and give me a welcome package. Class. When I want a steak this is where I go. My only knock is that they do such a good job it's sometimes hard to get parking let alone get in without a wait. "The place is so busy no one goes there anymore" as.my late uncle would say.

What I learned from my meal here is to not order a giant prime rib, it'll come out in a giant slab which isn't as fun to eat as a delicate slice. Texas Roadhouse is by far my favorite steakhouse, it only gets 3 stars because I like the one back home in California much better :X If it's anyone's first time here, be sure to try their freshly baked bread w/ cinnamon butter! It's delicious and as long as you're hungry, they'll keep bringing you new baskets! I'm a huge fan of their ribeyes, and the filet mignon is pretty good too (but how can that go wrong, right?). Besides the bread, they're known for the peanuts and for the waiters/waitresses doing a dance every hour or so! Although they're probably sick of it, it would've been more enjoyable if they looked like they were having a little bit of fun! Also come early to put down your name, the wait can get pretty long.

The staff were all friendly and attentive. The cuts of meat that they have is pretty extensive and cooked perfectly. I'm not really into the theme restaurants but this one isn't too bad. I probably wouldn't bring a date there but it's fine if you just want to hang out and have a good steak.

We went to Maine and all we did was eat at chain restaurants and visit chain stores? Yeah, oh well. I'm allergic to shellfish, and don't like seafood, so when looking for dining options neat WALMART, this popped up. I've been to Longhorn steakhouse and Outback, but I must say so far this is my favorite. The steak I ordered medium rare, and it came out medium. Oh well, I usually order it medium rare because the cooks usually don't have the balls to cook it bloody. I loved the fresh baked bread and the theme of the place. Our server was in training and she was very nice and attentive. If you're allergic to peanuts, stay away, there's free peanuts for customers and the shells go on the floor.

A super fun place with the nicest staff I've seen in a long while. The manager should be commended for really placing customer service on a high level. The booths are comfortable and the atmosphere "country fun.". I don't normally review chain type restaurants (I assume this is a chain), but it was such a welcome surprise that I felt it critical to let people know about this place. First, I love the bucket of peanuts concept. They give you a huge bucket full of peanuts, and everyone just digs in - the kids love it! Second, the rolls come out - sinful, warm, soft, and glossed with butter. Not a lot of skinny patrons here, but once in a while can't be all bad. Salads came out next, and were tasty, but I like crisper lettuce. Not a big deal. Steaks were flavorful and big - you don't leave here hungry. Sweet potato was large and fresh, and the other sides pretty good as well. The sauce for the ribs was too sweet, but the meat itself was incredible. Overall, for a place like this (you know what I mean), a solid 4 stars.

Gotta get Texan food with my Texan boo! First of all, I LOVE how the hostess grabs a fresh basket of hot, buttered bread as she takes us to our table! GREAT move that all restaurants should implement!! We got two rounds of bread, they give you a bucket of peanuts, and let's see....we got the rattlesnake (bites of jalapeno cheese balls), a smothered steak (that included mushrooms, onions and cheeese), sides of seasoned rice, chili, mashed potatoes, and veggies. The prices were totally reasonable and the service was great!

Texas Roadhouse is fantastic! How can you beat their rolls with cinnamon butter? Even tough the Texas Roadhouse is absolutely delicious I try and eat here sparingly. Everything is covered in Marshmellow, butter, a ton of cheeese or full of sodium. It's exactly what makes it so delicious! I always get smothered chicken it's covered in cheese, bacon and mushrooms and parmesan. See! A heart attack waiting to happen. BUT, OH SO DELICIOUS!! The waitstaff is always so nice here and this is definitely a great place to come out and have dinner...

I don't eat steak much and when I do, I go to Capital Grille and really treat myself. Now, this is probably why I was disappointed in the Rib Eye/Rib combo here. The Rib Eye was cooked perfectly but is was thin and dry. The ribs were fall of the bone texture and had a smokey flavor. The loaded mashed potatoes were way to greasy because of too much butter. I drained it out. The buns are ok, overrated and the sweet butter it comes with was like a dessert fluffy cinnamon spread. I wasn't digging it, with my steak dinner. I feel Outback has a better steak, better buns, in my opinion (comparing to a chain steak joint) The ceasar salad was fine. The service was great! So, I think diners who do not dine out a lot may love this place, as there is less to compare to but we were slightly disappointed (only because of all the hype from people we know). I would skip this and go to Outback, if you are going to go to a chain restaurant for a steak dinner.

Michelle Obama's worst nightmare.. Comfy, cowboy cool environs. You get your own pail o' complimentary Georgia peanuts to shell and eat with gay abandon (in fact the sign on the front door says "Peanut Dust EVERYWHERE". They ain't kidding. I'm on the anal side myself, so I politely discarded my shells in my bread and butter plate. WARNING: do not eat here if you are (even marginally) trying to eat like a responsible adult. Nearly everything on the menu is a heart attack on a plate, particularly the complimentary rolls so many fellow Yelpers mention. They come warm, soft, and SLATHERED in butter, with a side of cinnamon butter just for fun. (I looked up this little morsel on the Daily Plate, and each roll is 227 calories!) The burgers and steak fries, while yummy and well-prepared, are REALLY SALTY. You don't want to know how many calories they have. Really. You don't. Severs are polite and perky, the beer is cold, and the food is good. A place to pig out and have a good time with friends. Just hit the treadmill afterwards.

So I'm not what you'd call a fan of chain restaurants, but I am OBSESSED with this place. To give you an idea, the bf and I once at here every single day of the work week, and I got the exact same thing. Their Grilled Chicken Salad is PERFECTION! I could eat it everyday, and if I had my way I would. Plus the rolls and cinnamon butter they serve are addicting, like seriously, there may be crack in that butter. The only thing that can get kinda annoying is the script the servers have to go by, but I know it's not their fault, company standards and all. Annnnnd I HATE when the service manager comes by, during EVERY meal, to introduce themselves and ask if you want her to ask your waitress to get you anything. It's one of the most aggravating things ever! But I love the food, so that will not stop me!

I normally would not review a chain like this, but since no one has reviewed the Scarborough location (and before I went, I looked on Yelp hoping to find some gem of info before the dinner), I thought it might be helpful. So, the same standard applies here as to the other locations - the waitresses dance, you get complimentary peanuts and can throw the shells on the floor, the rolls are INSANELY good, and the place feels like a redneck barbecue, but in a fun way. Some other things I learned: 1. there are basically no healthy options. Even the salads all have blue cheese crumbles and/or bacon and/or deep fried something on top. There are no vinaigrette dressings, either, only creamy dressing choices. 2. because of point #1 above, I asked the waitress to custom-make something, and she was more than happy to put the order in. I had a salad with just lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion, but then had a nice medium-rare steak sliced up and piled on top. Probably still not too healthy, but hey, bonus points for letting me custom-make my entree. 3. Just stay away from the bread. That stuff is so addictive. Rolls come piping hot, slathered in butter, and with a side of sweet, whipped cinnamon butter. Really, just stay away. They're dangerous. 4. Margaritas, while tasty, aren't strong AT ALL. Very weak and tasted like flavored margarita mix. 5. If you are new to the restaurant, they will bring you over a tray of little sample-sizes of all their side items for you to try before ordering. That is extremely thoughtful and really helpful. 6. Though you can throw the peanut shells on the floor, the waitresses prefer if you use the empty pail instead. I learned this through the following conversation: Waitress: "Here are your complimentary peanuts, and you can throw the shells on the floor." ME (admittedly a bit OCD): "but you brought us an empty pail. Can I throw the shells in there instead?" Waitress: "Of course. In fact, I'd appreciate it if you chose to do that, but it's not required." ME: "it'd make me feel better if I did, so we're going to use the pail." Was it the BEST STEAK EVER? Of course not. Not by a long-shot. But the waitstaff was so friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and the prices were low so low that it doesn't really matter. What mattered was that the steak came out cooked to my specs (med-rare). And it did. I have had way higher-end steakhouses with much higher prices and fewer diners in the dining room screw up the cooking of my steak, so the fact that this place got it right the very first time deserves a nod. Well done, Texas Roadhouse. For what you are, you do it very well.

Went here on MLK day and was surprised to find it was no busier than a normal Monday night. I sat at the bar to watch the B's game and had a great experience. Got a nice 16 oz Sirloin that came with 2 sides for under $20. For that price I wouldn't normally have high hopes for a steak but this one was very good. The bartender Ashley, did a great job even asking me if I was sure my meat wasn't too rare. I told her it was fine since I normally order Medium Rare but like it on the rarer side. Decent beer selection and of course complimentary peanuts. Overall a very pleasant experience and I will definitely go back when business takes me up to Scarborough.

Wasn't impressed with how the hostesses were telling us how their bread was "baked fresh every 5 minutes". That's great, but I didn't ask. It took our server 20 minutes to even take our drink orders and the place wasn't even busy. My friend spilled her drink and not ONE server came over to help. It took them almost 90 minutes to bring our food to us, to a table of 3 girls! The people beside us had arrived 30 minutes after us and got their food before we did! I ordered my steak medium-rare, but it was brought to me so red and raw it was still trying to eat my salad. My friend's serving of "green beans" was clearly NOT green beans. They were lima beans from a can and smelled like an open grave. The prices were sky-high for the quality we were getting. It cost us 2 hours of our time from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Needless to say, I will never be back. Not even for the free peanuts.
