Fun and homey little B&B in Millinocket; feels like you're in the guest room of some friends-of-friends, rather than a customer in a hotel. Sean and Catie have been running this place for about 3 years as of 2014; they provide rooms stocked with spherical plush animals and themed art, plus breakfast tickets for the local Appalachian Trail Café (~2 blocks away; an easy walk if your legs are working, and street parking if they aren't). I actually prefer this to in-house breakfast sometimes; much less fiddling with wake-up times and uneven homemade french toast. We went for the Medieval Room; Launcelot tilted at Sir Tarquine in mellow fantasy-art style in one frame, and there was a knotwork piece called "Cuthbert's Revenge" in another. (Google tells me these are both by Randy Asplund). Other rooms had fishing or moose themes. All were exceedingly well stocked with "squishables," large spherical plush toys. Each room had a TV and DVD player; the toiletries basked was well-stocked with interesting stuff, like my favorite bar shampoo and a few different soaps. Truly stellar WiFi; any time the phrase "half a T1" comes up, you know this isn't regular hotel "Internet." Both Sean and Catie are refugees from high-tech lifestyles, so this is one B&B where the computer always works and the owners could patch a new video device into the TV in their sleep. The location's a nice balance --- an easy walk to the main strip, but light traffic. If you're up for a mellow evening in a relaxing room, check out the Ice Fish Inn --- and consider stacking the plush spheres off to the side.

The owners are very nice. We were greeted at the door with their cute dog. They accommodated us when we had to reschedule, you can tell they are a little new to a bed and breakfast but they did good. Definitely made sure you were comfortable, and had a pretty good movie selection. Would def. come back.
