Had the scallops Michelle. Amazing! Great service and friendly staff. Enjoyed the meal! Stopped here after climbing the Katahdin. Highly recommend it.

Honestly I didn't think they would have good food here, but I was wrong. The food is very good and their burgers are fantastic. I didn't have the chance to get the lobster while I was in town, but a few of the people I was with did and said it was excellent. Everyone was friendly in this very small Maine town.

Overall very nice place. I ate here twice, so that says something. First night I had the blackened scallops over rice. Very yummy with some nice heat. The sauce really sold the dish as it married the scallops with the rice. The second night I had a sausage calzone. I gotta say I was thinking of that calzone all the way down from a very cold, windy, rain-drenched Mt. Katahdin, so it was a welcome sight when it finally arrived. It was good, not the best I've ever had but good. The bread was yummy, but I found the sauce more runny that I prefer. Still, I wasn't too picky at the time. Can't give it a full five stars as the service was kinda slow -- possibly just due to peak season.

Great food, excellent service. We were pleasantly surprised to find this place after a day of whitewater rafting built up a big appetite. The toll house pie was awesome.

This review is for the calzones and beer only. You have to be out of your mind to order any of the other gross food on the menu, but damn the calzones are freaking spectacular. My friend once ordered a bowl of chowdah and it was a bowl of super thick barely viscous white sludge...exactly how the inside of his arteries probably looked after eating it( 'Murica!). But yes, the calzones here are so good your mind will be blown that you are eating this delicious of a calzone in freakin Millinocket of all places. The dough and sauce are great, the veggies end up cooked nicely while still retaining some crispness, there is plenty of cheese, yet the thing is somehow not greasy. They are also reasonably priced and very large, although after climbing Katahdin several times, I always eat 2 and sometimes 3(but that's really an unnecessary amount of food). There are also some Maine beers on tap which is nice. There's another pizza place inside a gas station a little further towards I-95 that is also good, but other than that, this is really the only place I'd eat at in the area.

This is a pretty good place that's reasonably priced. I got the steamers which were a good quantity for only $10. It's worth checking out if you're in the area.

We just took our family there and it was delicious! We had onion rings, clam chowder, pizza and calzones ... Service and food top notch! Two days ago went to Pelletier's across the street ... Our top pick is definately Scootic Inn!!

This place has been in the family for many years. It is clean; the server was efficient and nice; the food was presented quickly and was of good quality. I ordered the cajun-seasoned chicken breast. The chicken was surprisingly moist. It was served with a starch and a vegetable choice. The baked potato was good and served with sealed packets of butter and sour cream in a little bowl. I chose the green salad, as squash is not my favorite vegetable (the veggie choice). The salad was crisp and had a nice variety of lettuce/fresh veggies in it. Prices are very reasonable. The chicken dinner was $10.99. They have lots of fish, pasta, salads, and pizza choices on their menu as well.

passing through town to see someone and stopped in for lunch. Friendly staff and good chowder usually suits me fine. Everything else looked good too so had the Lobster Roll and was not disappointed. Home style cooking with a smile.

You seriously have not been to Milinokcet if you haven't spent time at the Scootic. It use to be the only restaurant in town for dinner (unless you like Subway chicken parmesean), but now that those Pellitiers and their reality TV show, American Loggers, opened a place across the street, it is more like the church, pot-luck crowd. Waitstaff turnover is the buzz over Miller at the bar, and the owner can be sulking in the corner at times as his business dwindles. Let's hope that he can figure out there is more than one way to serve a Cheeseburger and fries and lobster salad. The food is Maine fare, without the catchy names. Vegtables are no where on the menu, and a stick of butter is the chef (cook's) best friend. Strick up a conversation with a local, and eat the free popcorn - those stuck up TV folks across the street don't go free popcorn at the bar. Mainehigh: 3

I'm up here visiting my friend from East Millinocket and he highly recommended to eat here. We go in through the back door and the restaurant is empty. I didn't think anything of it because it's mid summer and the town is literally dead. However, I realized after that the restaurant across the way was not only packed but there was also a waiting list. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were clearly frozen and the cheese wasn't melted inside. For lunch, I ordered the chicken fillet sandwich and my friend ordered the chicken parm. His was okay, but mine was brought out the wrong way at first. Our server apologized and told us while the cook remakes it, she's going to go eat the mistake. The second time my meal was made the right way. However, our drinks were empty when we got the meal and she didn't bother offering to fill them up. We had to interrupt her while she was texting and eating to get refills. Not to mention the flies that kept landing on us while we were sitting there. So overall I give this place 2 stars. 1 for my sandwich (which was good the second time) and 1 for the fun we had trying to kill the flies. My advice: skip this place.
