Had lunch here with friends today. The restaurant has recently opened and is nicely designed. The atmosphere is very laid back. We definitely felt welcome there. There was a decent selection of beer considering the location. The food was good, plentiful and affordable. I read the other review for this restaurant. All I can say to it is that this is not a fancy 5 star restaurant nor do they claim to be. It is the north woods of Maine, you are not going to find much better anywhere around.

This place is smaller than I expected. We arrived with a party of 12 they could not seat all at one table, nor would they put 3 tables together for us :( Call ahead for large parties. Food was well cooked, the sirlion was not a well cut, piece of meat. The appetizers were big, everyone left having had a good meal. JMO the family, town fathers, and local businesses should look to spruce the entire street and make it more of a destination for those of us who have watched the tv show and go for a look. Few of the local businesses were open and looking cared for updated and wanting business.

This joint has ANTLERS on the wall, CHAIN SAWS everywhere, fresh warm BREAD on the table asap, cute waitresses, bathrooms on BOTH floors, The Katahdin chili taco salad hit the spot after a full day of hiking the K-mountain and the burgers were certainly nothing but burgers. Burger = burger you get what you pay for including $1.41 beers on tap. 'Nough said. They are working on fixing the windows so don't worry about that.

You want to get shit-faced in the woods with the local Discovery Channel celebrities- and a few gawking tourists. You found it. They haven't had this many people eating in one place since the football team won the state championship in 80's. The bar tender ladies are nice, but often run ragged (or constantly looking that way), and the kitchen is a the size of a galley on a tugboat. You can find the stars of American Loggers making the rounds, basking in the fame, and telling dirty French-Canadian jokes. Totally worth the people watching, the crafty Mainer-menu and the nice big-bun size portions (except the mac and cheese which was served in a tiny vegtable bowl - and microwaved to a nice dehydtrated crust). Don't expect vegtables though - this ain't no "flat-lander" restaurant. Hint: You may want to eat a chicken parmesan acroos the street at Scootic, during the weekends.... then head over to the upstairs bar at the Loggers and get wrecked with the locals and dance your titties off.

This is a newly renovated restaurant (beautifully done but VERY LOUD) by some family on some reality show about loggers. I was brought here by some friends who have a house in Millinocket. All their dishes have cutesy logging-themed names. Our waitress could not tell me where the beer on the menu was from. Thanks to my phone, turns out they had Casco Bay's Katahdin Red and Atlantic Brewing Company's Maine Logger Lager, among the other usual suspects like Sam Adams, Moosehead (it IS Maine!) and all the macros. Her definition of them was "The Red's one of those strong beers and the Logger Lager is more like a normal beer". Turns out the Red's 5.4% ABV, so, yeah, I guess that's stronger than your average macro lager. She was very nice, but clearly nobody cares about beer or waitress training on beer in the restaurant, or even bothering to help the waitresses remember where the beers come from. Apologies to both Casco Bay and Atlantic Brewing, the beers were both very tasty. We enjoyed them, although the carbonation level seemed a bit low to me. As we were a large party, we got three appetizers to split: the nachos were those tri-colored tortilla chips and were not quite stale. The toppings were absolutely flavorless and the salsa tasted like some of those nastier jarred brands. Not worth eating. The mozzarella sticks were quite generously sized, we split 4 of them among 8 people. They were tasty, but honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up breaded and fried cheese. We also got their version of the ubiquitous Quebecois dish poutine. They had a punny logging-themed name for it. French fries with gravy and cheese. They were decent, although they were bagged and frozen fries. Why not just chop the potatoes? Is it that much work for a trained chef? I mean, it's not that hard for me and I would rate my knife skills at the low end of average. The gravy was a bit too salty. Burgers seemed to be the thing to get there. They had seafood and pasta dishes, but it looked like a burger joint. They were advertised as 8 oz of fine chopped sirloin. This may be true, but my medium burger was well done with char and all, and the well done burgers across the table were burnt charcoal disks, much to the disappointment of one of teenagers at the table. The burgers were tiny, thin, and dwarfed by the rather tasteless buns. Their size would be fine, as I don't really love anything but exceptional burgers, but these were not even decent burgers. The mushrooms on mine were the food service canned and marinated variety. The Swiss cheese was good, but again... hard to mess up cheese. Instead of fries, since we'd just had the poutine, I ordered the veggie, which was green beans. They were freezer burnt and soggy. Really? In July you can't find fresh beans somewhere nearby? These weren't really fit to be in soup, let alone served as a side dish. The lettuce and tomato on the burger were super bland and looked like mid-winter hot-house stuff. Again... it's the middle of July... the farmers are getting their first crops in... get some fresh food! Is this THAT tricky of a concept? I wish the owners had put the time into the food that they put into the renovations. It'll be a long time before I have an opportunity to return to Millinocket, and I can assure you I won't be wasting another meal at this place.

My family visited the Pelletier Loggers Family Restaurant this past weekend while on a rafting trip in Millinocket. All in all, a good experience. It wasn't very busy in the restaurant, despite being a Saturday night, so we were seated straight away. We got a sampler platter of appetizers that was quite tasty, though with our party of 6, we should have gotten two! I had the "Millinocket's Finest Burger" which was a bacon cheeseburger on a fresh roll topped with BBQ sauce, which was tasty. My husband got the meatball sub and was pleased. Everyone else seemed pretty happy with their meals, though my brother's rueben was not quite what the description indicated. He said it was good though. The beer selection was decent, I tried the Geary's "Golden Road Ale" which was delicious - if only I could find more information on it on the web! Apparently it's made for the region specifically and I'm hoping I can find it elsewhere - it was infused with maple and was quite delicious! The service was good, despite what some of the other reviewers have said - but like I mentioned above, it wasn't very busy in there so that may have helped.

Service was excellent. Our poor waitress was from Raleigh NC and very out of her element ;-) We hope she makes it through a New England winter. Highly recommend the Fish and Chips as well as the Lobster Stew.

Honestly, I kind of liked this place. Yeah it's chintzy and feels like a chain, but at least it is something (of which there is not much in Millinocket). The service I had was pretty solid, attentive, always filling my glass of water, ready to bring the check out when I was done and the burger I got was pretty good as well. I mean, it was a cheeseburger with BBQ sauce, it's kind of hard to screw up, but it was tasty, and the onion rings I got with it were pretty good as well. Maybe if this was in a city where there were many other options it would be a 3-star review, but in Millinocket, 4 stars!

Just visited this restaurant with a group of 8. I rated it 3 stars because I liked my "chicken burger" (aka chicken sandwich), but my other friends had a lot of compliants (for one, they didn't seem to know how to properly melt cheese on burgers, nachos or anything else for that matter) and all of them insisted that I rate this a "2". The service is quite poor and some items were forgotten. The attitude of our waitress was also not very good (she was complaining about working too much too lately). The restaurant is extremely clean and has interesting items and articles on the walls. It has an attractive log-interior as well. It's easily the nicest looking place in town. For that reason we'll probably go back every time we are in town. Not the best food in the world, but it gets the job done.

I am visiting a friend in East Millinocket and I had to go here because of the television show on Discovery Channel. The outside of the restaurant is very attractive and when I stopped by for lunch, it was very busy and there was a line out the door. We decided to come for dinner and upon entering, there was a group of four people ahead of us that were standing there talking. We stood waiting for like 20 minutes before anybody even acknowledged us standing there. After finally getting our name down and getting a table shortly after that, we must have waited at least 20 minutes for our server to deliver us any drinks. The hostess gave us water after seating us down and then walked off leaving us menus. Our server finally came over and was able to recommend two appetizers even though it was only her second day. We waited a while for our food, but it was expected after the wait for getting a table and the wait for getting our server. The appetizers were good. I especially liked the mozzarella sticks because they tasted homemade and the potato skins were also good, a little greasy, but good. When my dinner came, the food looked really good but unfortunately the pasta for my baked mac and cheese side and the manicotti was way overcooked. The pasta was mushy and had no flavor in the manicotti. The cheese even lacked flavor in the manicotti, which is hard to do because its ricotta cheese mixed with spices. The menu also advertised baked mac and cheese, however there were no bread crumbs on it and it definitely was not baked. My last problem was the sweet potato fries were warm at best, meanwhile, the mac and cheese was very hot. My friend's taco salad was good though. So overall I give this place 2 stars. 1 for the awesomeness of how the place looked, all themed up and 1 for the appetizers. In the end, stop by for pictures, but don't stay for the food.

Their menu listed on the website was extensive and offered lots of choices. However when we got our menu there was only one steak choice listed. We went there because we saw items on their online menu that were no longer available. Menus had been changed over two months earlier. Very disappointing!!

I mean, it's Millinocket and it automatically gets one star for simply existing. The other three are deserving, at least for my experience. Granted, I had just come out of Baxter and freezing my butt off for three days and sustaining myself on malodextrin and butter, but I enjoyed my meal here. I don't even like cole slaw. but the home made version was great. I got the haddock sandwich (big piece, fresh) with the divine home made onion rings. Also started with the NE clam chowder, which was good and chunky. The decor is very nice, almost out of place with all the other abandoned store fronts on Main Street. It's nice to see them at least trying to inject some life in this town. Millinocket desperately needs it. Place was dead on a Saturday afternoon in January other than what looked like to be a few locals at the bar and Eldon Pelletier (who gave a warm "hello" to us, love that accent). Service was fine and pleasant. We must have looked (or was it smelled) a bit out of place, as she asked "so are you guys crazy winter hikers?" and she seemed fascinated by what crampons and ice axes are. I'd come back.

This place is awful. I have been here multiple times and every time the service is terrible. For one almost every time I have come here they only have one person working as a server and bartender. We sat there once for over twenty minutes and the waitress bartender didn't ask if we wanted menus and pretty much acted as if we weren't there when we finally got to order granted we still had no menus she took everyone's order except for one person and then when he tried to order she told us to wait because she had to go back to the kitchen. The food is not fresh it is all frozen and is not good. The bartender waitress was also extremely unprofessional and was on her phone behind the bar almost the whole time. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Bad food bad service bad people

For sure the place to go after a day of Katahdin. Nice portions, and everything comes out from the kitchen served up perfectly. The burgers are filling and most items off the menu are pretty good, especially if you're hungry.
