Stopped to have lunch on the way to Bar Harbor. My wife loves lobster as much as she loves me I think sometimes. She got the lobster roll and said it was the best she had had on our trip through NS, NB, and ME. I had the haddock wrap and it was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside cooked just perfect. The ff's are made fresh with the skins still on them and they were so good.

Fun little food stand outside of downtown Lubec on the left side of 189N. We didn't get to try their full array, but my husband had to have "salmon on a stick" which wasn't cheap at $6, but he seemed very happy with it. He said it had a light smoky taste and was very fresh. If we had been around longer, I definitely would have stopped by for lunch.

We stopped here to grab a quick lobster roll in September. It appeared to be associated with a local fisherman and was basically a food truck with seafood items. We had our hearts set on a lobster roll and got them at $14.99 each. The lobster was fresh but not a lot of meat was in a very small hot dog roll. For this price, in this town it should have had 50% more meat in a larger roll. Service was okay but nothing stellar. We drove by several times in the 2 days we were here and didn't see another soul stop. My advice is you may want to keep going as well, there is Kippy's down the street and lots of options on Water Street.

Best meal during our recent 7 day Maine trip and we visited a handful of towns and cities and a variety of restaurants, from fine dining to casual. This is an authentic shack in a convenient location on the main road to Lubec where you can enjoy your meal at picnic tables overlooking the water. The proprietor's husband is a lobsterman/ fisherman so everything is fresh off the boat. While we were waiting for our meal we tried a smoked salmon stick which was delicious. The lobster roll was perfect - the roll was not to thick and was expertly grilled with an even distribution of butter. The lobster was so tender and was dressed with a light refreshing sauce. I tried the fried haddock wrap which was dressed with fresh romaine lettuce and a tasty sauce. The fries served with it were perfectly crispy and seasoned. The smoked salmon pasta sauce was equally delicious with crunchy diced veggies. We hope to return here one day, give it a try!

Earthy light-battered fried clams and a generous portion of haddock - with vinegar on the side. Excellent fries. Friendly. You sit on a bench outside. Nice experience all around.
