Went with a group of 9 during a work conference. Owner Bill was very friendly and accommodating. Great appetizers and food. Server Ashley was very friendly and efficient. It happened to be trivia night and we had a great night.

Had wings and beef enchiladas. Not that great. The side of rice was totally inedible. The refried beans were not much better. Good place for beer and that's about it.

The overall business needs help from many points of view. Lighting is minimal bathroom smells, a guy refilled my drink and asked the 4 of us how was our food even though there was no food yet on the table since we just ordered it. So food comes out and i have to say it was great. So if this place was in portland or new york i would have rated it as terrible, but being in Auburn Maine i think it has potential. Hire bette looking servers, clean the bathroom, focus and good luck!!! Also Sarah is pregnant, why is she mopping the floor?

Passing through Lewiston with a hunger and a thirst and my sister and I stopped in here based on the number of cars in the lot. Walked in and were immediately greeted by three smiling (and cute) hostesses/servers. Sat at the bar and bartender was super friendly and helpful. Guinness was chilled the way it's supposed to be. Pull tab happy hour bargain made it a $1 Guinness which is even better. I had gringo burger and sis had the cheesesteak - both were great, nothing fancy but great. Will definitely go back next time I'm passing through Lewiston.

Not great food. First time in the Lewiston location and wasn't super impressed. Much prefer the atmosphere at the Brunswick location. I went on a Wednesday night around 7 and we were the only people in the dining room. The server was friendly and attentive, the food was okay. Black bean and sweet potato burrito was good, bean tacos were good but nothing special and the rice was totally horrible. It tasted like plastic and chemicals. I took two bites and couldn't eat anymore. My fiancé ate all of his but only because he hates wasting food.

Not unhappy coming here. The food was what I expected, the service was very attentive and the company I was with was exceptional. I would not discount this restaurant based on the other reviews. Give it a chance and post your own experiences.

Pedro O'Hara's was, without hyperbole, the single worst restaurant experience of my life. Pedro O'Hara's has been open in Lewiston for more than half a year now, but I had yet to visit. I went on a Thursday night with my parents. We were hoping for some decent Mexican food and a drink or two. We weren't expecting anything fancy (it's Lewiston, after all) -- just decent food. After being seated at a booth (which, I will admit, was comfortable), it was over twenty five minutes before someone took our drink orders. It was another fifteen before the drinks arrived. It was then another FIFTY FIVE minutes (not exaggerating -- believe me, we were checking our watches) before the food arrived. More than once, we almost left. It was a truly ridiculous wait, during which our waitress checked on us only once. We nearly left a number of times, and I wish we had. The food, when it arrived, was terrible. I ordered a fajita wrap, my mother ordered a quesadilla, and my father ordered a steak sandwich (from the "Irish" portion of the menu). Mine came with rice and refried beans, both of which were pretty tasty, although only lukewarm. The actual fajita wrap was awful -- bland, except for the salsa, and INCREDIBLY soggy. Actually, "soggy" describes all of the food. A quesadilla should have a crispy texture -- my mother's was floppy, soggy, and quite literally dripping a thin red fluid (presumably tomato juice from the watery salsa). My fajita wrap was sitting in a quarter-inch deep puddle of the same liquid. My father's steak sandwich was also soggy (hard to say with what, no salsa there) and had a peculiar sour taste. After waiting for a total of nearly 90 minutes, the food was so bad that none of us could even eat half of what was provided. We left very unhappy. Our waitress, who could have made much of this more bearable, seemed like she was probably a nice person -- but she was a terrible waitress. She ignored us the large majority of the time, never offered drink replacements or refills, didn't give us any updates on when our food would be ready. She did seem aware that we weren't thrilled to have been waiting so long -- she blamed it on the kitchen staff and cheerfully told us that two other parties had already walked out in frustration. Were there any good points? Well, my mother's margarita was decent. If you come just for drinks, sit at the bar, and don't expect any service, it's possibly worthwhile. (Although their beer selection was sadly lacking anything interesting. It's strange for a restaurant/bar not to have a single IPA, for example.) As I said, the rice with my meal was pretty good. The complimentary chips and salsa while waiting were bland, but edible. But overall, it was just terrible. I've been to restaurants I wouldn't necessarily recommend to someone. But before Pedro O'Hara's, I'd never been someplace so awful that I felt the need to evangelize against it. No longer! I registered on Yelp specifically to write this review.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
