This is the only good Thai place in the entire Lakes region or Gray area. We've tried the Chinese and Thai places in Windham and Manee Thai is the only one worth going to and worth going out of your way. The Crab Rangoon appetizer is fantastic and the Pad Thai is well worth it. However, the ambiance of the restaurant is not great, so make this a take out stop. We've eaten here about 20 times for take out and it's been good every time.

Decent Thai food, super friendly staff! Had lunch there on our way home from north Maine to CT nothing super special but fresh ingredients and good price.

Pad thai was ok, kind of bland. Better once I added lots of peanut sauce. Spring rolls were mediocre but seriously overpriced. The Thai iced tea is all I get there now. Which is saying a lot because I'm pregnant and a garbage disposal right now and love nearby lol I just expect Thai food to be more flavorful. Not awful overall, just not really good either. But totally grab a Thai iced tea on your way by :)

Usually when you are hungry things taste better, not here. I love Thai food and this is the worst I have ever had. We (2 adults and a 2yr/old) ordered crab rangoons, shrimp wraps, chicken pad Thai, Manhee Thai combo and a couple Thai Iced Teas. The crab rangoons were so so. The shrimp wraps were supposed to be the thin crispy wrap but had a thick breading inside and it completely ruined them. The chicken pad Thai didn't have any flavor and didn't even appear to have the crushed peanuts on it. The Manhee Thai combo has multiple meats and veggies and even pineapple but it had a very plain flavor to it. The sweet & sour sauce had a little spice to it and was different but okay. The Thai Iced Teas were fine. We ended up throwing all the food out and wasting almost $50. Very disappointing. The service has been professional and polite both times I have gone in (once just for Thai Iced Tea).Go to one of Thai Pom's locations in South Portland or Portland if you want good Thai food.

After work one day I was starving and decided to try Manee Thai out as it was on my way home. I stopped in and ordered Mee Pad and it was delicious! It only took 5 minutes to make and it was fairly well portioned. I ended up paying around $8.95. I decided to go again today. This time I checked the online menu first. I saw a luncheon special that had Mee Pad for $6.95 and that includes with crab Rangoon or dumplings. I ordered the Mee Pad and crab Rangoon and specified the luncheon special. When I arrived to pick it up he charged me $9.95.. I explained that I wanted the luncheon special and he told me "the menu changed and the Rangoon was an extra dollar." He then explained that since I didn't know he would just give them to me.... He ended up charging me $8.59.. Hu??! The menu price for luncheon special is $6.95 plus 8% tax should be only an extra .56.. That's over a dollar unaccounted for! I didn't argue as he already thought "I was getting a good deal." I left happy with my food but unhappy with the dishonesty or lack of math skills. I will not return for this reason. I have to assume the business is not doing well and has to cheat money any way they can.. There is also signs charging an extra .50 for sauces- never a good sign. Additionally, they are not open on Sundays anymore....

Recently moved to Gray and was a bit nervous about trying this place....do not let the simple look of the place put you off....food was great, I tried the 5 star spice the first time and was very disappointed. Second visit I explained that I like it spicy and said make it 10 star.....that was all it took, they really brought the pain. Ample portions that I have never finished in one sitting and fortunately the small beer selection has a few Maine micros, not just BMC swill. Give this place a try!

This place is great. Relaxed dine-in and awesome take-out. The staff is always really friendly and we're yet to order an item off the menu that hasn't been enjoyed although we're very partial to the pad thai (soooooo good). We are so happy to have this place in our neighborhood. P.S. plum wine...do it!

One of the few non-pub, non-fast food options in the area. Food was pretty good but be warned: four star "native Thai" spice level is still pretty wimpy for spice lovers. Go for the five star "Show off" level. :)

Love this place. Live in Portland but have camp in Gray. We go to Manee Thai every time we are at camp. All the dishes are great especially the hot basil leaves with chicken. Great customer service.

I ordered Pad Thai and was very disappointed. It was edible, but it was the worst I've eaten. The sauce was watered down and mostly just sweet with a hint of sour. No peanut flavor at all. The appetizer pork dumplings were very small and not at all good.

At last a Thai restaurant worthy of repeat business in this area. Ordered takeout during the first week they opened and the food was awesome! I had eaten at their Scarborough restaurant once prior and the flavors were on par. The wait time was a little longer than anticipated, but they were extremely busy that night, so it was understandable. We ordered the Tom yum soup, app sampler, crispy pad Thai and tofu curry. My soup was missing tomato and I had requested sautéed tofu vs fried, but it came fried. My husband's crispy pad thai was different than he had before at other restaurants. All the noodles were crispy fried vs. some fried over traditional pad thai noodles. This resulted in a smaller than anticipated portion, but he said it still tasted great and luckily we had the extra apps. Would probably go with the traditional pad thai moving forward. We are just thrilled not to have to go out to the Portland area for good Thai takeout.

Great Thai food here; the hotter dishes definitely have more flavor. Service is pretty good, although sometimes it seems like they're in over their head because of the volume of customers they have. However, I see this being a staple of the Gray community for a long time.

Finally a Thai restaurant in the Gray area! The food is as good as it gets around here, but there's also not a great variety in the area.

I really want this new restaurant to succeed so I have Thai food nearby. I had my first visit recently and sadly was disappointed. The location lends itself to takeout only since there are only a few stark tables and a view of the constant traffic out the window. The service was very good and hopefully will allow It to improve. The issue that was most challenging was the food itself. I ordered the Hot Basil, which I often get at other Thai restaurants. I ordered with 1 star of spice but what I got had no spice. I suspect the cook feels locals can't handle any spice so the dish was bland. Also conserving we're the vegetables in the dish which were way to large and weren't carefully cut into smaller pieces. My fellow diner got a breaded chicken dish but you could tell it was not freshly prepared and was rubbery. I hope the owner improves the cooking otherwise this will just be another Chinese restaurant pretending to serve Thai. I will return in a couple weeks and will update this review if things improve.
