I have eaten in here before, the overall food is above average for a Thai restaurant in Maine. There are actually quite a few Thai restaurants in Maine. Take out service is great as well. However the jewel of this place is their Pad Thai and Crispy Pad Thai, which are easily the best I have ever had. Also the service here is amazing.

I come here all of the time. I LOVE EVERYTHING. My handsome boyfriend and I usually order 2 soups, an appetizer for one (huge!) and split a Pad Thai. The Pad Thai is the best we have ever had in our lives and the service is consistently awesome. I dream about this place. I want their Pad Thai right now. RIGHT NOW. I'm going to go get it....

Pretty mediocre Thai, which was disappointing since the items on the menu made it seem like they were offering really authentic Thai cuisine. First problem: the number listed on their takeout menu didn't work. Tried calling 3 or 4 times and then searched for another number on the web. When I asked about this they said " yeah, some people say they can't get through.". You'd think they'd want to address that. I ordered Tom Kha soup, which I love, but it also serves as a measure of the restaurant. Weak, watery, and not much chicken. I ordered the pork with spicy basil sauce, which wasn't too bad, but again, very little pork for the price of the dish. I got it at 3 stars (out of 5), and it seemed a little too hot , but to each their own. My wife ordered Shrimp love scallup, which was pretty bad. She said the garlic sauce was weak, there were hardly any shrimp, and the few vegetables were very coarsely cut and not cooked enough. I don't know what the other Thai options are in Freeport, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this one.

Best Thai food we had in the 3 years we lived in Maine. Loved it. We were regulars for eat in and take out- both were great. Always good service. Our favorites included chu Chee curry, panang curry, pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice. Consistently fresh and perfectly spicy.

Yes I know this is Maine. Guys in plaid shirts, Elmer fudd hats, and LL Bean boots. But you would think some brave thai dude would want to brave the cold freezing winters and open a great thai restaurant in Freeport.....anyone...someone. Didn't think so. Well Thai Garden will have to do. Food is okay....pretty much chinese food with a few pad thai, curries and other "authentic" dishes thrown in. If you have had your fill of lobster rolls, fish and chips, chippino, et al.....Thai Garden will do in a pinch...but don't say I didn't tell ya first.

Simply put: the best Thai food around. I've been coming here for years and I have never had better pad Thai anywhere else. Perfectly juicy, succulent, textured, and bursting with flavor, especially when paired with the shrimp. The drunken noodle is perfectly spicy at two stars. The noodles and the sauces are spot on. The crab Rangoons and wontons are perfectly crunchy. And the prices are reasonable for the exceptional quality of food you are getting. I constantly crave their food and can't wait to go back to treat myself and my friends. Don't miss out! It's a literal hole in the wall restaurant, but it is truly a hidden gem.

Luncheon specials were filling portions. Spiced perfectly. The Thai lotus wine was delicious.

Always love this place! Delicious Veggie Spring Rolls, Tom Yum, and Pad Thai. Very fresh tasting! I have been coming here for years and still consider one of the best.

Not loving the takeout from here, just mediocre to blah at best. If there ever were a time where I asked for my money back, it would be now. Last year we treated our friends here and the food was good, the service was okay and that's fine since he was a newer waiter. But, the takeout was really bad. Maybe we've been spoiled by Li's in Freeport and yes, maybe we were trying to save some $$$ by not getting takeout from Orchid Thai, but long story short, we won't be goinging back here again. The food had no flavor, you don't even need to taste test: please see pics to verify. I ordered the Mee Paad which is $13.95, very reasonable, but it only had one shrimp and the rest was chicken. The chicken would have been 10.50, so I paid $3.45 for a small shrimp? My husband loves Thai and will not go back again, his Chicken Pad Thai was flavorless with a bunch of noodles and little to no chicken or vegetables. The dipping sauce for the crab rangoons was the worst duck sauce ever, super salty and inedible (that's duck sauce, made with sugar). Last note, why do they use lemon as a side, I've only ever had lime, even in Thailand. What the heck Thai Garden? Thai Garden this is us breaking up for good. I am so sorry Li's Chinese Express in Freeport and Orchid Thai in Falmouth, we will never go elsewhere. Goodbye Thai Garden.

Used to be very good for years, maybe new ownership has caused it to slide?? Last 2 times the pad Thai was poor and had a funny smell? The service is good staff is polite. The fresh spring rolls are a safe bet. Will possibly give it 1 more try this summer when on vacation.

For a small town in ME, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Decently good Thai food and friendly service. We ordered the red curry and a noodle dish (I forget the name). Probably the best Thai food you'll find so far north.

Green curry, chicken pad thai, paad pik king are all favorites here. Oddly enough, the soup seems to vary the most in flavor. Friendly service, consistently good, fast on take out.

My friends and I walked out of this place because it was so disgusting.

The food here is good, but they have TWICE given me chicken instead of tofu.

3.5 Stars Strip mall location and slightly tired decor brought this one down a bit, but the service was very friendly, the prices were very reasonable and the food was very good. Thai Garden is a little ways down 101 south of the CHAIN STORE MANIA! MAINia MAInia MAinia Mainia mainia... area of Freeport.

In Freeport, was going to grab a burger and beer. As I drove out of the Holiday Inn Express heading north on US-1, I spied the Thai Garden Sign....past it by as my head turned from burgers to Pad Thai and Spring Rolls....I pulled a U-turn on the park & ride about 1/2 mile towards downtown Freeport. Now for the food...I did order Chicken Spring Rolls with sweet & sour sauce, they were great the sauce was sweet with a little hot bite. For my main course predictable as I may be, I had the Chicken Pad Thai...I cleaned my plate it was quite tasty though a little on the sweet side. My regret was I didn't order a beer with dinner and had a glass of Pinot instead. The Pinot was a little rough on the edges, I prefer a Pinot that is velvety across my palette. across my palet.

The Chicken Pad Thai was delicious, though I found the portion size to be a bit small...I could eat it all in one sitting which I have never been able to do at a Thai place before. Also, I ordered a lemonade to drink, which was $1.50, and it was definitely from a powdered mix. I guess I assumed they would have something a bit nicer for the overall prices and the fact it's a classier restaurant. I'll definitely go back next time I am in Freeport though.

I had pineapple fried rice and tried my friends' food as well--yellow curry and pad thai, all with fried tofu (you get the option of "fresh" or fried, which I guess is nice). All three dishes were... average? Ok? Not bad? Flavor-wise, they were all pretty boring. I didn't care for the way the tofu was prepared... it was like... over fried? Prices were reasonable... mine was about $9 I think, and my friends did the lunch special which was maybe $1 cheaper and included 2 (very small) fried meat dumplings (no vegetarian options, boo). I've had worse, but I've mad much, much better, too. I might go back, but I would expect it to be not great if I did.

Great service and typical menu. I got the drunken noodles at a 2 out of 5 and it was perfectly spicy. Super fast take out and reasonable prices. I'll definitely try this place again when I have meetings in Freeport!

Food was decent - nothing special really. We got take-out and they forgot two salad dressings and we had to go back. They were very apologetic and met us outside with a to-go bag. Staff was extremely friendly.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the state of Maine. Consistently great food that I loooove to eat.

We ordered carry out here one time. While the spring rolls were excellent, my Pad Thai was edible but a bit strange and my husband's dish (I've forgotten what he ordered, but it was supposed to be very spicy) was completely bland with no heat whatsoever. The meat and vegetables were in large chunks with nondescript sauce.

We live close by, and frequent Thai Garden. The staff are very nice, with polite and fast service. They go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. The food is very good, although the menu is typical Thai. They have the best sweet/sour sauce I have tasted, and they will sell a container of it for home cooking. The peanut sauce is also good. If you want your food spicy, tell them so, because otherwise even spicy dishes will be mild.

Don't be fooled by the ugly strip mall exterior or the unmemorable interior. The food here is so good! I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants and I keep coming back to this as my favorite. The pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles are musts. Along with a Thai iced tea. I've been going here for years and I've always had really quick, friendly service. The food is consistently delicious!
