This is my wife's and my first experience staying at Bed & Breakfast. The inn keeper Mark and Nancy made the experience so enjoyable that we considered staying an extra night. Their hospitality was amazing. And Nancy's breakfast was delicious! If you are looking at going to Freeport , I wouldn't look anywhere else but here.

Extremely friendly innkeepers- they knew everyone's names etc. they're very accommodating of special dietary needs - we are vegan and they made some wonderful banana muffins for us. Comfortable beds and everything we needed from our room.

Nancy and Mark made our stay very special. The Inn is located within walking distance to food, shopping and entertainment. Nancy and Mark have made an effort to visit and support the local business's; they were able to direct us easily to areas we would enjoy during our stay. As others have stated, the food is unique and delicious. They hve many stories about their experience with the Inn and from their lives. We were able to relax, and laugh a lot. Looking forward to another trip with a longer stay.

My husband and I haven't stayed in many B&Bs and our previous experiences have only been so-so. We really enjoyed our overnight at the Kendall Tavern and Nancy and Mark made great hosts. When they told us over the phone they could accommodate a gluten free diet we were expecting they would just omit anything with wheat from their already planned menu(especially since this was a last minute trip and we made our reservations with less than 24 hours notice). We were very pleasantly surprised with the gluten free treats Nancy made for us. The peanut butter chocolate chip cookies were amazing! I never would have guessed they were GF. I've been trying to replicate them to no avail. The GF cranberry muffins and coffee cake at breakfast were also delicious and a nice surprise. I wish we could have stayed another night just for the food alone! It's difficult to travel and eat out when you have food allergies, so this extra special touch went a long way for us. We were also very happy that Nancy and Mark had no problem with us bringing our 4 month old baby along. Another B&B in the same area did not seem as happy about that when we called to inquire about rates.

We just loved the Kendall Tavern. There is something very calming and peaceful about this place. Tim was very accommodating and makes you feel like you are visiting an old friend. He even whipped up some scrambled eggs for us to go when we had to leave before breakfast was officially served, complete with juice and fruit. Nice to be right down the street from the downtown shops. Stayed 2 nights, and glad we did.

I highly recommend staying at this inn for it's personalized experience and superb breakfast. Each night, there are freshly baked cookies to snack on after a long day of enjoying your visit to Maine. Close to shopping, but tucked away from the crowds for a quiet stay. The innkeepers are very friendly, warm and welcoming. I've been two times and can't wait to go here again!
