Typical Johnny Rockets experience. Tasty burgers and fries and unlimited diet coke! The waitress was a doll and it served its purpose for a quick bite after LL Bean. It was super fun!

Really 3.5 stars. I like the old school decor, cups, and service. I like even better since there is a little gaming pad that can keep the kids busy. There is a $2 fee for unlimited use which is fine. The burgers were cooked well and assembled neatly. I would come back again.

It's a fun place for lunch or a casual dinner. The milk shakes are always great. The food is pretty good. By far a better option than McDonald's and a good price. The fun retro 50's vibe is a good place for a cute date or fun for kids. They have little jute boxes at the tables and have recently introduced table pay. I like coming and having a walk around town. (:

Small little restaurant tucked in between some outlet stores in Freeport Maine near LL Bean. There was only one waitress and cook but the restaurant was slow even at lunch time. It took a awhile to get our meals and I saw my sweet potato fries seating on the shelf for almost 10 minutes while the rest of our lunch was being prepared. Flavor of the fries was good but they were luke warm at best. I had a chicken club sandwich which was good and loaded with chicken and bacon. My husband had a Philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings which he did not like but I thought was pretty tasty. He had a thick chocolate which he said was good. The waitress was attentive but other staff were behind the counter talking about personal issues which could be heard by most customers. I saw a couple try and enter the restaurant at 11:30 and the door was locked. Employee went right over and let them in but if they had not seen them they would be losing business. Old style juke boxes on the counter and some booths. Not sure if they work or not but very nostalgic. Have been to other Johhny Rocketts where the food was much better.

Great place for a quick burger. I had thd smokehouse burger with sweet potato fries and everything was delicious. Swevice was decent. We didn't get a table with a juke box and didn't get to see the servers dance, which is a little disappointing but we still had a good time and good food!
(4)Kathy R.
Had lunch there today. Waited about 10 minutes for an outside table. Not bad. Went downhill from there. We ordered soda and lunch at the same time. The soda took about 10 minutes to get. It took the burgers at least 40 minutes to get there. And we were starving. My god it's burgers and fries. That's what you do. How about bringing out some of the unlimited fries that you advertise if it's gonna take you 40 minutes to make burgers. The staff was friendly and nice but the amount of time to get lunch was ridiculous
(1)Bryan D.
Good burgers and very nice staff. This is the perfect place for a good burger in town if you don't want to pay $20 for the same burger at the local restaurants
(4)Christopher S.
Fun chain restaurant I like the theme and the menu is decent, the food has been good each time. I have never been able to get the coin operated juke box to work though
(3)Taylor F.
if you want a really good hamburger, look no further. Johnny Rockets is your place. had it for the first time today in freeport while on vacation in maine and was not disappointed. its not the best burger I've ever had- i reserve that for fuddruckers- but this blows away most of the fast food competitors. i like the toppings they choose for you- burgers are much better without ketchup in my opinion. similar to wendys in that respect. i would visit this chain again in my hometown and recommend it to others!
(4)Neal H.
Ten minute wait but counter service was quick and friendly. They advertise unlimited this and that but it was hard to get the waitress attention. Food was good, typical grill food.
(3)Surfing Husk Y.
Truly sorry that I cannot give minus stars. This was one of the worst dining experiences EVER. It took 1 1/2 hours from the time we arrive to when we got our food. When we got it, I found that this location was using Cheese Food on the chili cheese fries and not Cheddar Cheese like every other location I have been too. Trust me, STAY AWAY, you will save your time and money.
(1)Jim D.
I'm normally a fan of Johnny Rockets anyways, but this particular one was the best I've ever been in. All the servers were great, and the girls even did a dance in front of everyone when a particular song came on. The food came fast and was consistently good with what you get from J.R's normally. After spending most of the day in the Freeport shops, this was the perfect place to go for a late afternoon snack/early dinner.
(4)Marco E.
I normally eat organic but sometimes pretend to be ignorant about food. The burger was ok, the cheese was stuck to the wrapper, the bacon was over cooked and fry portion was super small. Shake was ok, I'm glad there is no ingredient listed or I would have hurled. . . . . .
(1)Andrew M.
Terrible service. Server was a clueless blonde who ignored our table throughout our lunch. Food took over 40 minutes for a cheeseburger and a salad. Unacceptable. Food was bland and unappetizing. Summary: Overpriced and poor service. Will never dine here again.
(1)Thomas D.
Typical franchise fair. But even though it was busy, and we were a party of 8 we received good service.
(3)Matthew B.
Disagree that this is the best JR I have been to. This location is crammed into a new section of the outlets in downtown Freeport and is a disarray of poor service and over cooked food. The chicken sandwich was a mess of fat and gristle and the fries were burned. To boot the waitress had the entire outside she was handling and was all over the place. Skip this spot and walk to the Friendly's about 500 feet from this spot. It has to be better service and food.
