L&S Sandwich and Flu Chaser Chicken Soup - My god... the Flu Chaser Chicken Soup will bring life and love back into your life - it is truly divine. Brothy, loads of herbs, seasonings and love. I also had the L&S roast beef sandwich - copious amounts of thin shaved beef on soft bread. Yes, it's love. Very helpful and pleasant staff/owners.

Out if lobster but picked up their "Bessie" sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Nice lady brought our food to our table outside.

If I could afford to go to this place everyday for lunch, I would! The owner is behind the counter 90% of the time, very welcoming and always remembers who you are! The food is excellent - I especially love the BLT with avocado. Bread is always fresh and the soup is homemade. Great little place!

Excellent place for sandwiches or to pick up some gourmet accessories. Cute little building with plenty of jams, sliced meats, and mustards to choose from. Tasty place for a quick sandwich too.

There isn't a review that does this place justice. The pickles are great, the cookies are great, and those are only minor pluses when juxtaposed against the rest of what Leavitt's has to offer. They have one of the nicest sandwiches in town - my personal favorite is the deviled egg salad - and the soups are fantastic. The owners and staff are all friendly too.

I got the Reuben, it was delicious but it was $10 and more of the sandwich was sauerkraut than not! Unfortunately, I probably won't be back to this local sandwich shop.

Neat little place and I had a great Reuben! All their sandwiches are made with Boar's head meats and are pretty affordable--mine was $8.50. They also have an interesting assortment of quality wines and beer from all over, along with some candies I've never seen before. Service was fast and friendly!

Small portions, high prices, and middling cold cuts. Two words: skip it. It's hard to understand the positive reviews here. This isn't even close.

The best lobster roll in an week of hunting them down all over Maine. Not much seating, but great food and foodie items. A great lunch find.

Visting kids at Bowdoin, Bates or Colby? Great stopover between Maine and Logan--5 minutes off I-95. We were returning from parent's weekend at Bates, heading back to Boston. Had the carrot ginger soup, and a Reuben sandwich and a caprese sandwich, one for the flight to Seattle. All five star!! On the way out I noted some Downeast cider, my favorite. I bought out the stock and packed it in my luggage. Terrific and interesting wine collection. I'll be back next time I'm in Maine.

The food is great, very easy to stop by for a sandwich or pick up some desserts if you are in a hurry. The service is great. All of their sandwiches are recommended; the bread is always soft and the produce and meat is fresh and delicious. They also carry drinks and snacks from local brands like Maine Root and Cape Cod Chips. The only downside is limited seating; outside there are a couple tables, same with inside. The food and convenience more than makes up for it, however.
