This little diner is awesome. Friendly staff and quick service. Breakfast was very tasty. Eggs, toast, and home fries are great. And the pancakes are huge and delicious. I think they have cornmeal in them or something like that. It's everything you want a mom and pop diner to be. It has so much character inside and out. License plates from all over the country and some Canadian provinces all over the walls. The sign out front said, "you either like bacon or your wrong." Definitely would go back if we're ever this far north again.

Good food and fun staff. We like coming here for breakfast or lunch. They have a variety of breakfast foods. Everything from bacon and eggs to oatmeal and French toast. Great burgers for lunch and good sandwiches. If you are in the neighborhood you should give them a try.

First off, I think you have to have a sliding scale for stars rating. This is a diner. And as a diner, the food is honest home style cooking, good value and better than you expect. That's 4 stars. 3 stars means average and this doesn't seem like an average diner. I had the hamburger and it was truly excellent. Beautiful char, moist in the middle, proper bun, flavorful toppings. Can't speak for the other items on the menu till I get back again.

This diner has everything you can imagine on menu. I usually try one of the specials which for lunch today was Salisbury steak smothered in onions, green peppers, mushrooms and bacon for $6.99 served with mashed potatoes and corn. Always great standard fare with friendly service. Fish chowder and chicken noodle soup always on menu and great when it's cold and it's old 90% of time I'm working in Maine. Lunch is always served quickly, always tasty and extra friendly service.

Such great service and giant portions for breakfast. We stopped in on the way out of town with four rowdy kids and they were so sweet and accommodating. This will definitely be my breakfast stop whenever I'm in the area.

Stopped by on a day trip midway from Bangor to So Portland and had a quick bite the eat. Only had a burger, the waitress was very friendly and since I was the only one in at the moment, held a good conversation while I ate.

Stumbled across this place with my kids while driving back from a week camping in Acadia. So glad we stopped. The two ladies running the floor were friendly with just the right amount of sass - and the food was quite good too! We were there midmorning for breakfast, and the place filled up quickly with regulars. It's got a great vibe.

My friends and I ate here a couple of weeks ago. We had only been in Maine for two days after driving all the way from Sacramento, CA, and were really impressed with how welcoming and friendly the ladies were. We all enjoyed our food tremendously, and finished off by sharing the highly recommended bread pudding, which was phenomenal. We asked if there was anything we just had to see while we were visiting Maine, and our lovely waitress suggested that we couldn't miss Acadia National Park this time of year. Thank you so much for your suggestion, if you're reading this; it was well worth the hour drive! If I ever make my way back to Fairfield, Maine, a hearty meal at the Flatlanda is on my agenda!
