I don't know what the other two reviewers are talking about. Alright so it's not the fanciest of places compared to some of its restaurant neighbors, but for the food it is fantastic. The gyros is delicious and a huge serving. Yes, slightly pricey but so is everything else around here. The service was extremely friendly and genuine. I think it's a great place to pop in for a snack or lunch. Loved my experience there.

This is a real gem! The cheesesteak sandwiches are just like Philly and their gyros are to die for as are their house made pizzas. If you like good food, and don't mind a casual ambiance, this is a great place to eat or to get a take-out. Watch from across the street as a steady stream of locals go in and out.

This is an amazing place! We had a great lunch.the gyro sandwich was packed with great meat and the view is terrific. The baklava was the best. The service was phenomenal. Fair prices and more than enough to eat. We wish they were in our town.

My friends and family and I come to the Mediterranean Kitchen whenever we're in the Damariscotta area. It's an excellent lunch spot with a large menu full of fresh, delicious options. I get their Greek salad with gyro meat each time and it's excellent. The owner, Nick, is hilarious and has so much personality, so we love supporting his business. You have a view of the water from the deck outside, and it's also a great spot to people watch. Great value, every order comes with plenty of food, and it is consistently delicious.

Nick is AWESOME! Welcomed us right when we walked through the door. Recommended for us to try the lamb gyro. It was DELICIOUS! We also had the baklava and that was yummy too! I saw someone complain about the price but I think the price is more than fair for the amount of lamb and tzatziki he puts on the gyro. He even turned the heater up so we would be more comfortable. Will come back and bring my Greek mom-in-law when she visits. Turns out they are from the same island in Greece!

Short and sweet (poor quality/high price) I had so much hope for this place... I work up here and look for good places to go for lunch. First off no Doner Kebab which I don't understand, any authentic gyro place has one and I'm not sure why they don't, even the food carts in NYC have them. This resulted in a very dry "crusty" lamb. The highlight was the Tzatziki, home made and plenty on the pita, the veggies were fine and seemed fresh. Now the second problem, THE PRICE. A gyro on a paper plate with no French fries should be $6-$7 max, but no they charge almost $10 for just a Gyro! I mean it would be one thing if it was a gyro plate and came with fries and a salad. There is no excuse for this even in a tourist town, especially at lunch. I won't be coming back, my search for a decent gyro continues.

Small place with a simple, Greek inspired menu. Outdoor seating, although the chairs are old plastic ones. The whole place needs a thorough cleaning (workers seem a tad lazy). I would even suggest new furniture - make the place look more upscale, as opposed to "dumpy.". As for food, it is solidly "ok" - not great, but decent. Pizza came out hot and cheesy, with a solid, fresh flavor. Greek salad tasty but not among the better ones I've had. Lettuce was great, sliced right off the head of a lettuce while I watched - big points there. Feta cheese excellent. Chicken was not good, though; Pre-cooked, and they threw it on grill (or microwave) to re-heat it. They should do real Kebob style chicken if they want this to be a real "Greek" restaurant. The salad dressing was flavorful, and veggies fresh. Next time we will try the gyro option, see if it's better. Still, for a quick mediocre snack, don't hesitate to stop in.
