I have been to this restaurant three times for breakfast and once for dinner. Here are my experiences. First time for breakfast we were a party of about 20 that made a reservation. We arrive and find a dark almost night club like seating area. No coffee brewed, and five menus, yep 5. It took nearly a long time to order let alone be fed. Food was good when it was delivered. Again for company breakfast, apparently we did not learn our lesson. This time more menus but still not enough. And long wait which is to be expected and some coffee but not nearly enough. Food good but stay away from the whoppie pies they are previously frozen our just really dry. Now comes dinner. Extremely cold in this place in winter holy cow we ate with our hoodies up. They have since installed a fireplace up front but bring a coat. It was dead in there again and still took forever to get food then the pad Thai noodles are essentially raw claimed they were training a new cook offered something else but who has time to wait another hour. So June gives us 10% off the meal huh? The pad Thai was not edible and she still charged us. My curry dish was tasted but Luke warm at best, I blacklisted Junes at this time, but oh for another company breakfast! Yep same story as always only this time the menus are photo copied white paper in plastic sheet protectors. Well at least they are cheap and there should be plenty right? Nope sorry gonna have to share again, wow. I poured coffee for 20 people because the waitresses were too busy. Although for the most part there was close to enough coffee. Food once again was very good but jeez 2 and a half hours later the last person in our party was served their breakfast, it was now lunch time. I would have expected this place to have been remodeled or closed by now. Bottom line you will wait a long time and May or may not get good food but customer service is not a strong suit.

We were craving Thai and decided to give this place a try over our old standby located on the other side of the river. Upon entering, I quickly noticed the decor to be not reminiscent of a Thai restaurant but by past (failed) dining establishments. Old red booths, wood paneled walls. But as I know that decor does not a great meal make, I didn't mind. We selected a booth, there was only one other party there, and it was tight like a tiger. People must have been smaller back in the day... like the 70s/80s whence I predict the booths were constructed. I first noticed how quiet it was in the place, no music at all. My friend remarked it was like being in church, she felt like she should whisper. Our waitress quickly came over and delivered some water and menus. I ordered my standard go-to, vegetarian pad thai and the sweet potato tempura appetizer for the table. My companions ordered a couple of different curries, the basil friend rice and edamame appetizer. The sweet potato tempura came out first and while it was not a traditional light tempura batter, they were good... but a bit expensive given the portion was not very big. The edamame was good too but they were served warm and without the sea salt that I'm accustomed to. Didn't stop us from eating every last one though. My pad thai portion was huge for $8.95. I ate half and brought some home for lunch the next day. I sampled one of the curries and the basil rice and thought they too were both good, though I liked my pad thai the best. Though the food was definitely tasty, I took away a star because I felt the appetizer prices were a big hefty given portion sizes. I also took away one for the atmosphere... while I can deal with old, red, tight booths... the silence was a bit much. I don't like to hear my friends slurp their curries or chew their sprouts. Crank it up June! I'll be back or call in for takeout next time I'm in the area visiting my pal.

Apparently the food is so bad, no one has even bothered writing a review. Ok, so guess I'll have to write one! My girlfriend and I hit this place about 4 months ago. When we were seated the table height was almost at eye level! The tables and bench like seating is left over from a previous failed restaurant, not a good start. When the waitress finally came over she was rude and chewing gum. After waiting an hour for our food in an empty restaurant, we decided to pay for our ice teas and just walk out. Overall, Horrible dead atmosphere with no music, terrible seating, rude waitress, and no food! Will never go back.

My classmates and I stopped here on our way to Cobscook Bay. We were immediately shown to our table and the waitress poured us water. I also order coffee (it was about 1 o'clock in the afternoon but the coffee was fresh). I ordered the Curry chicken salad and my classmate next to me ordered the chicken fingers with fries. I personally enjoyed the crispy lettuce, fresh tomatoes and the curry flavored chicken. It was a different spin on the regular grilled chicken salad people I always order. The portion size was great as well. I wasn't hungry until 4 hours later. I also nibbled off of my classmates chicken fingers and fries and I liked those as well. The restroom was clean and everyone in the restaurant seemed really nice and it felt homey.

It is unfortunate that the previous reviewer had a bad experience and didn't get a chance to try the food. I think that June's is just starting out, and therefore still figuring things out. I am confident they will work out the kinks. We happen to live nearby, so one Sunday morning decided to give it a try, even though I will admit I was prepared to be underwhelmed. The sign is a bit confusing, I would urge June to pick a specialty and go with it rather than the little bit of everything approach. But I digress..... Our first breakfast was FANTASTIC! I was so surprised. I had the loaded homefries, sauteed with ham, sausage, veggies, and topped with melted cheese and sour cream. Served with two eggs and toast. It was divine. Boyfriend had a delicious and fluffy omelette. We liked it so much we returned the following Sunday with my parents. I wanted to try the benedict, as I consider myself an eggs benedict snob, but I was still dreaming about those homefries, so I had those again. My parents loved their meal. This was the only time however, the service was a little under par. There was a large table that had been seated before us, and it did seem that they got all the attention and the food took a while. Later that week after a day filled with activities and not wanting to cook, we decided to try dinner. We started with Sweet Potato Tempura, which was very yummy, though not a classic tempura batter. The dipping sauce was fantastic. We all felt like burgers, so we all had burgers and fries. And they were delicious. My seven year old who NEVER cleans his plate ate his whole burger and all of his fries. After seeing some of the Thai dishes that were delivered to other tables, my mouth was watering and I promised myself that next time we would sample the Thai cuisine. We have been back one more time since for breakfast and I finally had the benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was perfect, and I am picky. All in all, we have come to love Junes. Whenever we are there, June makes a point to visit each table and check in. She also takes order and delivers food when needed. It is clear this is a true family business, June's daughter is usually our waitress, and what I assume is her son is often seen clearing tables. It seems they are trying hard to make this work and iron out the kinks. We will continue to frequent Junes! One hint in case June is reading this. Don't serve food on cold plates. We have noticed that our food gets cold a little faster than it should due to the cold plates. Easy fix!
