3.5 stars... Smokestack is a new place in Camden, just a short walk from the main street in town. I'm afraid I'm going to have to have a double standard on this place because if this place was in Manhattan I would give them a raving 5 star review. It's mainly because of the prices that I've got to bump them down to 4 stars. The prices are exactly what would would pay if this place was located in NYC but you're in Camden where it's not unreasonable to think the prices should be at least 25-30% less. On the up side they did have a happy hour special of .25 cent wings and $1 off drafts (that are usually about $4) which is more what I expected. The wings (though disappointingly small) were actually fantastic, as were the seasoned fries. The fish sandwich was pretty good as well. Though I would hesitate to order pizza in Maine their brick oven made me think they might actually know what their doing there too. Prices aside, Smokestack frankly amazes me, the owner really must have put a fortune into this place. The logo/branding is top notch and so is the massive interior of this place. Everything from the bar to the bathroom fixtures are high end without coming off fancy or over the top. They have everything I like in a place: a large well stocked bar; a large seating area for those who don't want to sit at the bar (complete with an amazing waterfall view); a full menu; a up-to-date electronic jukebox with all the music you could want; darts; pool; various arcade games; friendly people; an outdoor patio area Its just a shame about those prices but I suppose you have to pay for this beautiful space somehow...

There isn't much to pick from for bars in the Camden area. I've been here several times because I would rather go here than Cuzzy's. The last time I went...the service was sub-par, way too many dudes (who think they are hot shit, but really are just lame), a DJ who was too busy drinking instead of doing his job and there was a fight. Pretty lame. I don't even want to go back. They do have good pizza though. But don't expect much from the crowd that goes there.

Had dinner here by chance because another place we wanted to try in Rockland was closed. Have been here in the past and it was so-so but tonight we had a wonderful time. Food and wait staff were fabulous and they had games to entertain the kids at the table while we waited for our food. So glad to see this place has a new menu, great atmosphere and has decided to make it all that it could be. Will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful selection of beers on tap including imports like Stella Artois and local microbrews like SeaDog and Bar Harbor. Kitchen stays open 30 min later than most of the local spots. After 9:30 on Fri and Sat a lots of the local 20-somethings come in for drinks and pool and to hang out. This place is a nice middle ground between the local blue collar crowd and the super expensive touristy spots. They also have a cocktail on special each night for $4 (the Friday I was there it was a screwdriver).

Stopped at 4 for a beer. Everything looks right. Pool table, dim lights, video games and tv w sports. I order a beer and don't see pretzels or nuts. I ask. Nope. Seriously? A bar without nuts? I guess that sums it up.

Visited this place 3 times during a week I was in Camden. Helpful, friendly service, reasonable prices, good atmosphere. Three large TV's by the bar, extensive beer selection on tap. Awesome pizza, my friend and I crushed two of them today! We'll both be back next time we're around. Highly recommended if you're looking for something that isin't a pricey, trendy wine and seafood restaurant in Camden.

We had occasion to visit twice in one week, One late dinner - had Fish n Chips done right, pulled pork ( Delicious ) and lobster stew - buttery, chock full of lobster. We are Chicagoans and now Mainers so we know good bbcue and lobstah.. The next meal was lunch.. we had the pulled pork again, with piping hot fries and haddock chowder - combine that with your favorite brew ( a great selection of beers on tap ), a football game and great service and that my friends, is an afternoon to remember.

The food was good (really good chicken wings and fried green beans) and the atmosphere was great. But Emma our server was amazing! She was great with our toddler and so attentive throughout our meal.

Well.... I guess I will start with the food, because it was the only thing that even gave this place two stars.. The waitress we had was a girl in her twenties. She seemed pretty nice at first. While she was pouring my glass of water it spilt all over the table and didn't say a thing, and ended up soaking my phone. My brother ordered a the macaroni and cheese and then asked if he could get a side order of fries... Fast forwarding to when we got our meals, my brother got his macaroni and cheese... But no fries. My dad also got the fish and chips, but no slaw. After my dad flagged the waitress down he first asked for the coleslaw, her response was something like this, "oh, did you want some? I mean I could get you some." Seriously? It comes with the damn meal! Her 'deer-in-the-headlights' look did not make things better. My brother also did not get his fries. So my father asked the waitress for some fries as well. Again, she gave us the look and then said "you want fries? Sure I can ask him to make some." This is when I started the timer, I had a feeling right away that this was going to take forever... And indeed it did... In the meantime we looked around the restaurant which was a little busy, and we watched our waitress walk around and talk to other tables.... About ten minutes had passed and we did not see her put in the fries or walk to the kitchen and tell the cooks to make fries. Instead she would grab other orders and bring them to the tables, which is totally her job... I'm not bashing that. At the 15 minute mark she came by and refreshed our drinks and my dad asked about the fries again her response was "uh okay let me go check on those." Fries take at the most 4 minutes in the fryer of you like them crispy.... Why would you check on 4 minute fries? Again, we watched her walk over to the kitchen and grab the order from another table. We immediately knew we were going to be waiting for half an hour for fries, and that we did.. My dad, very unhappy at the moment flagged our waitress down once again and asked for the fries... Her response was the most pathetic excuse. It began with blaming the cook " I'm sorry the cook told me that it would be like an extra two dollars because French fries don't come with the Mac and cheese" My family just stared at her with pure amazement. This waitress knew it was completely her fault but blamed the cook... He ordered fries with his meal knowing it didn't come with it... Why would the cook be concerned if it was an extra two dollars? They make the food and follow the orders. So my brother lost his appetite and was not happy with the Mac and cheese but we got the fries after telling her we didn't care if it was an extra two dollars. The right thing would have been to take the fries off the bill for making us wait like that.... The second issue was our bill... We had a 92 dollar total... Holy crap! Then we found out why... Our waitress charged us 15 dollars for chicken Alfredo.... Wait... We didn't get chicken Alfredo? So we flagged the waitress down and she gave us another wonderful response.. "I don't really know. That's what my manager told me. That's what's she had me do." Again! Blaming others for her mistake. She also said that because my brother wasn't 12 he couldn't get the macaroni for the kids menu price. obviously! But this was macaroni and cheese a 8 dollar dish at best... Chicken Alfredo is expensive, it has meat in it, Mac and cheese does not. So the waitress took 5 dollars off the bill.. Which was nice of her. Overall the food is good. If you want to overpay for your just okay/ good food, this is the place. We have been going here for years and this has always been the issue here...

Great beers and service. The food is also amazing. This is a great place to bring the family during the day and also a great place to gave some drinks without the kiddos in the evening. The food is amazing. The view of the "waterfall" in the back is great as well. If you ever make it there on a Sunday then they also have bottomless.....That's right I said BOTTOMLESS mimosas for only $6

Standard bar food. Prices are fair and it is clean. My biggest problem was the lack of service. We were allowed to seat ourselves but couldn't bc 5 tables that were available needed to be wiped down. When a waitress finally noticed us she got the table clean. However it took 15mins for her to get us drinks, even water. She took our order another 10mins after giving us drinks. However it took 30mins for the food. We almost got up but she arrived in the nick of time.y biggest problem is that it is a tourist town, you know it's going to be busy and as an owner you need to staff. This poor girl was running around all over! As the night went on and people left she was able to get us refills and breath. Food was ok. They do offer one gluten free meals of fish. Burger was undercooked with raw burger inside... yuck! But everyone else's meals were decent.

Food is ok, we make better pizza at home. They lied about pricing on Specials Menu and when we called them on it they could only discount 10%, which still didn't get it to the menu price. Awful.

There isnt a lot of great options for bars in camden anymore. We went here on a saturday evening. It wasnt very busy at all. My bf ordered a burger which he enjoyed and I ordered calamari which were ok (I believe they were frozen) the sweet potato fries were very good. I will say I loved the inside of the restaurant-old building details, waterfall right out the window. And in the front of the restaurant there are a couple of pool tables which were awesome setup. we will go back.

Nice place, standard Americana restaurant fare (burgers and such) with a taste of the local flavor, chowders and seafood, etc. Our party sat at a nice table overlooking this gigantic fake waterfall. We would have preferred to sit outside, but apparently that was reserved for a cocktail area. Hm. Our server was gracious and funny, to the point of trying too hard to win us over with his charm. I ate some sort of BBQ sauce smothered burger, my wife a "cup" of lobster chowder (and by cup I mean regular cereal sized bowl with handles), and our friend the tuna steak with lots of hearty sides. We enjoyed our meal and our beers. The place is nothing to write home about, yet here I am doing just so and giving it a solid four stars.

First I would like to state that I did not eat here. Went here for a few beers and drinks with my girlfriend and her parents. Great selection of beers probably at least 12 on tap probably more. Very friendly and knowledgeable bartender she knew all the beers and about them which is great. Tried a few sips of the mixed drinks my gf ordered they where ok to good, but I will say that it was $4 well drinks so who knows what brand of liquer went in there. Beer was perfect and taps where clean I hate when you get a beer at chains and the taps are dirty making your beer taste gross.
