Warm, tasty, and low key- perfect for dinner. We had the sirloin burger (ground fresh in house- yum!) and the surf and turf (perfectly cooked, not over-spiced). The Zinfandel was a nice pairing. Ceasar salad was crisp, fresh baked wheat bread loaf was warm and amazingly tasty. The waitress was charming when we needed her and unobtrusive when we didn't. A great experience.

I have been going to Otts for years and have always loved it. Just went last night and it was the worst experience I have had dining anywhere . We were told 15 mins for a table and waited over an hour and when we were finally seated, we couldn't get any service. By the time we ordered and got our bread, which I had to ask the hostess for, it had been an hour before our food came out. I had to send my steak back because it was not cooked properly and was almost cold. Our waitress was extremely rude. When I asked her if she could check on our food, she acted as if she had know idea when it would be out. I proceeded to ask her to go check which seemed to irritate her even more. I am so disappointed. I have so many fond memories of Otts growing up here, and now I will never go back. Terrible service, overpriced, and mediocre food.

Nice atmoshpere and a good salad bar. They make their own bread and serve you a loaf of it on a wooden board. Nice touch. Hubby had pork chops and I had fiddleheads and stuff haddock. WHAT IS A FIDDLEHEAD? it is a fern that grows in April and May in Maine. It grows by marshes and rivers. You can eat them but you must clean them first well. They kind of are like a brussel sprout/ asparagus. Mine were sauteed in butter. However, upon reading the gourmet section of the paper, mine could have been much better. Oh well, first time I tried them. Ok I guess. My stuffed haddock was good but could have been warmer. The place was busy and I think we waited a bit too long for a Tuesday night dinner.

My husband and I have been visiting Camden for a couple of years and we have tried many restaurants over the years but I have to say for consistent quality of food - Peter Otts can't be beat. Although the foold is always fabulous - I think they need to work on Service - over the many visits Service has often been slow and inattentive - even though we were eating right at the bar. This most recent visit - was a busy Sunday night of Columbus weekend so we understood it may take a bit longer but when we sat at the bar, the bar area was filthy - still had food and spilled drinks from previous guests and I actually had to ask the bartender for a bar rag and offered to wipe down the bar - She did clean up once we asked. Although there were only a couple of tables and 2 other couples at the bar - service was still lacking and bartended seemed to be a bit chaotic and not very knowledgable when questioned about the menu. As we found previously - We both had the Caesar sald and Grilled Salmon and the food was excellent and we would sacrfice the not so great service to return here again because of the quality of food.

Really good food. We went with a group of 11 and they accommodated us cheerfully. The food and drinks were all perfectly cooked and delicious from the shepherds pie to the salmon. We enjoyed everything. Prices were very fair even for the wine. Nice place.

This was my first visit to Ott's, based on the earlier reviews. It was a little pricey, but not unreasonable compared with the other restaurants I checked out while visiting Camden. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, as was my waitress. I had the wild boar sausage appetizer and sesame encrusted Atlantic salmon with baby asparagus, which was perfectly cooked. I skipped dessert. Although the restaurant was busy, I never felt rushed, and appreciated the fact that my waitress took the time to chat with her customers while providing excellent service. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. I recommend Peter Ott's highly.

Good food, very friendly service, we'd go again next time we're visiting the area. Gets pretty busy after 7:00 pm during the summer tourist season, although by eating around 6:15, we beat the crowd and were seated immediately.
