We recently stayed here thanks to a Groupon and had a great time. The Inn is cute, cozy, intimate and ideally located. I enjoyed spending time in it's historic rooms, but one of the things I loved the most (beside the terrific food and fantastic service) was sitting by the massive fireplace, eating breakfast and looking out on the snow falling, with the Christmas decorations all around. This place is oozing historic New England charm, and if you're looking for a weekend away full of that kind of character, you can't go wrong.

I chose this B&B on a whim when I wanted to get out of town for a night, and from the moment I stepped off the train from Boston and walked across the common to get here, I knew I had made exactly the right choice. My only request was for a king sized bed, and wish fulfilled -- huge room with a view of the common and the ice skaters. Wendy gave me the rundown on Brunswick and a handful of maps and off I tromped in search of adventure. That evening I was greeted by Tom and Eileen, the owners, and Eileen made me a cocktail and a fire, and I chilled out in the sitting room to review my day before going to dinner downtown. Breakfast the next morning was the best I have had the pleasure of devouring at a B&B -- scrambled eggs with goat cheese and spinach and Canadian bacon, fresh fruit, fresh yogurt, fresh granola, and an awesome muffin, too. So good. Enough energy to survive the below zero weather and explore the grounds of beautiful nearby Bowdoin College. What a gorgeous sunny morning it was, too. I can't wait to go back! Everything is walkable here, and this is a great central location. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality. I look forward to coming back. Winter or summer, this is the spot.

Very cute little place, and within the easiest walking distance to both downtown Brunswick and to Bowdoin's campus. My parents liked to stay either here or the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport when they visited. When I moved into college this is also where my family stayed as they helped me haul my stuff. It is a very cute little bed and breakfast with charming owners and pretty and homey rooms and a nice breakfast. A warning to those wanting to stay here: during big times for the College such as graduation, orientation for freshmen, parent's weekend, or certain big sports games, this place books way in advance. Try to get a room early if you want to stay here during a big time.

Hubby and I enjoyed a one-night Travelzoo voucher stay at the Brunswick Inn. Comfy, cozy, lovely town. We were there during a bit of a warm spell in mid-January, so walking the area was delightful.

Third visit, and it won't be our last! Each stay seems to top the previous experience. The Inn has character, comfort and class. It is centrally located to the Bowdoin campus, Maine State Music Theatre, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. During our stay there was an art festival on the green on Saturday and a Farmer's market on Tuesday. We were literally minutes from the beach, and made some side-trips to Boothbay, Portland, Freeport (home of LL Bean) and Kennebunk. The Inn itself is homey; the staff lovely, friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts outstanding. If you are planning a stay in Southern Maine, this is the place to stay!

Great great value. Definitely worth the rate - great location in historic downtown and next to Bowdoin; clean, comfortable, and updated rooms. Very courteous staff. Tavern onsite. I heard a train nearby before bed, but didn't hear any through the night. Would love to stay there again.

Nice facility, great location. Delicious breakfast and has a bar. Shower head was only minor complaint. Would come back again.

My husband and I recently spent a weekend here with a Living Social deal. We will without a doubt be returning! The Inn is gorgeous. Our room was inviting, warm, beautiful, clean, and large. The breakfast was sensational. The owners were lovely and very hospitable. Part of our package included wine and a cheese plate--so nice! The inn is also within walking distance of the Bowdoin campus and downtown Brunswick so we didn't have to drive once from Friday to Sunday. Although we got a great deal via Living Social, my husband and I both agree that we will pay full price to come back for the experience of a warm, comfortable, romantic place to stay. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who would like a place to stay and enjoy a quiet, romantic weekend away. Thank you Brunswick Inn!!

Stayed here earlier this year and loved it! Classic New England inn in a great location. We'll be back for certain.

We have just had the most wonderful experience at the Brunswick Inn! Eileen and Jim Horner are the new owners of the Inn and have a wonderful sense of warmth and hospitality. We started visiting the Inn in 2001 when our daughter was considering applying to Bowdoin, and we returned to the Inn at least once each year to visit her once she became a student there. The Inn became our home away from home. When our daughter and her fiance planned their Bowdoin wedding, we knew that the Brunswick Inn would need to be part of that experience. I learned through the reservation process that the owners we had gotten to know through the years had sold the business, so I was somewhat apprehensive about booking the inn for the wedding party and extended family guests. Once I met Eileen and discussed our plans I was confident that the Inn was still the perfect setting for our guests. She and her entire staff are organized, attentive and completely gracious. We spent one week there and it was exceptional in every way! The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating! Fresh flowers, specially prepared pastries, cocktail reception for all of the out of towners, special lunch on the day of the wedding..... It was like a family reunion with many opportunities to really get to know both the families and close friends of both the bride and the groom. Each of the rooms at the Inn has its own decor. We have stayed in both the main Inn and the newer carriage house. The location, close to the campus, is ideal for Bowdoin visitors. It is walking distance to the campus museums, library, theatre and admissions office. There are several nice restaurants along Maine Avenue. For those wanting to experience a New England town and hospitality the Brunswick Inn is an ideal choice. For shopping enthusiasts, Freeport, is just a 15 minute drive and Brunswick is much less congested.

Wonderful stay over President's weekend. The innkeepers, Eileen and Jim, were great. Attentive, friendly, generous with their time and knowledge of the area. The main building of the inn is right on the town green, a short stroll to the shops on the main street. The green serves as the town's skating rink so there were a few folks skating around even though the weather was unseasonably warm during our stay. We stayed in room #14 which is in the Carriage House, a detached building behind the main building. Cozy, comfy and quiet! The dining room is in the main building and at night doubles as a great lounge/wine bar at night, wood crackling in the fireplace and all. It's open to the public, but still relatively quiet. Breakfast was delicious both days. They even have their own blend of coffee from a local roaster and it is perfect. The front porch of the main inn building looks like a primo spot to chill in a rocker with a cool drink on a warm summer evening (guess we'll have to come back in the summer to confirm this last part:)

I've been fortunate to vist Brunswick many times, and have stayed at a number of hotels and inns in the area. Until now, I had not stayed at the Brunswick Inn. I have found my Brunswick home from now on. It's late afternoon, dark and crisp as autumn leaves fall outside, while I read by a crackling fire in the parlor as the owner's young daughter practices piano upstairs. The ideal combination of a homestyle inn with professional hospitality. Personal, friendly, with little "touches" everywhere. Perfectly located, easy parking. A short, beautiful walk to the Bowdoin campus. Comfortable, spotless and well-appointed rooms. A true New England front porch. Wi-fi. Great shower water pressure (ah, simple gifts). First-class, delicious breakfasts served every morning. An evening tavern open to the public (ridiculously good dirty martini), with many townspeople stopping by. Most of all, a staff of helpful, friendly, local folks who never missed a step. By far, one of the most pleasant and refreshing stays ever. Highly, highly recommend.

The Inn has inherited the chef from Clementines which is no longer in business. Food is fresh here, well presented and the service was fine. Special events and an expanding dining facility make this Inn a restaurant to watch!

This is my mother's review - her Yelp account is too new for her reviews to show up!
