my favorite thing about eating here is the sheer VOLUME of the lunch special. it really is enormous. three hung over friends - and seasoned marathon eaters - barely got through half of the barrage last time. you will probably have leftovers. and want to eat them two hours later. though they may test my physical limits with the ridiculous portions, i appreciate their big menu and attention to detail - the extra fresh vegetables in the wonton soup, a lot of stuff in the fried rice, the good kind of duck sauce on the table, ya dig? make sure you plan a safe place to nap afterwards. the waitstaff is very understanding as well. (:

My boyfriend and I love ordering from this restaurant. Their portions are massive, they have quick and kind service, and the food never disappoints. I think it is the best Chinese food restaurant in the area.

We just moved to Brunswick and were hopeful we'd find a good place for Chinese takeout. Oriental Restaurant, while not creatively named, was very tasty. We had the basics--some pork lo mein and fried rice as well as some mixed veggies. Good portions, nice flavorful chunks of roast pork in the entrees, and very fresh tasting. Yum!

Tried for first time. Had delivered. Food was excellent. Delivered on time, fresh and a great value. Have tried may Chinese restaurants in Maine and this one is in the top five.

Horrid place. No idea how they have stayed open. There is really room for decent Chinese food in the midcoast area.

In honor of my 26th birthday, and for my 200th review, I'm going back to the East Coast... Well, in my mind. In a town like Brunswick, choices for ethnic cuisine were pretty limited. Some coworkers of mine suggested this place for Asian food. It wasn't a Chinese restaurant, or a buffet, which is why I liked it so much. They served Japanese, Korean and Thai food. This was the first place I ever experienced the Drunken Noodle. One of the best "Thai" dishes I have ever had. This is also the place that I tried Thai Iced Tea for the first time. I have a lot of memories from my time in Maine, and coming here for great Thai is one of them. I can only hope that someday I will have the opportunity to go back...

This place is more quantity than quality. I would say for the price, it was a good value because of the sheer amount of food they served. The two reivews I read on yelp claimed "best Chinese in Maine" and also that they served, "Korean, Japanese, and Thai". I would say both of these statements are false. They had Chinese, more Chinese, greasy Chinese appetizers, and a few Phillipino offerings. If you love Chinese, this will probably suit your taste, but overall, it's just an average-ish regular Chinese place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
