When we don't want to drive to Portland for sushi, we come here. The fish tastes fresh and the service is fair. We love the golden banana maki! It's a family friendly restaurant with good food and at this stage in the game that's all we can ask for! The location is perfect and there is always plenty of street parking in downtown Brunswick. I've been here on the weekends and it can get pretty crowded on a Friday or Saturday night, but I've never had to wait too long for a table or seat at the sushi bar.

Mai tai- far from the best I've had. Edamame- personally I would've liked a little more salt. Sushi- super fresh and large portions. Teriyaki chicken- great flavor and tender. The service was good. We will definitely be back!

This is the place where I first tried sushi. It was really good. It was the shrimp tempura maki. The Golden Banana is also really good. Since I became vegan, this place is still there for me. I really love the Idaho and the cucumber/avocado maki. You get the best deal by going during their lunch hours when you can get the 2 roll combo that comes with 2 makis, a small salad, miso soup, and edamame. Definitely try their purple haze sake. It is sooo goood! Also, the eager ninja saketini. The servers and hosts are always very pleasant and helpful and they remember you when you come in. That is very cool.

Tried three different roles. They were all delicious and the gyoza was also delicious. My husband who doesn't really like sushi also enjoyed them all. It was awesome that they were open considering the supposed blizzard we were supposed to get. Took a while to get our order placed but after that the server was very attentive. My husband tried the Angry Asian drink and actually liked it, and he is not one who likes mixed drinks. It was a good experience but it was expensive for the size of the rolls.

Really great food, but service has never been good. Still my go-to place because the service isn't bad enough to deter me.

Hot towel? Why yes, I will have a hot towel. The sushi was banging, we had a soba noodle dish that was extremely fresh and even the soup was good. In retrospect it was all good and obscenely cheap.

Hawaii roll is one of the tastiest rolls I have ever had! :)

Theresa proved she's a master host last night! After our book release party we brought a gang over for great food and drink. She kept her staff late and treated us like family! Treat yourself and try Little Tokyo!

I went to Little Tokyo when they first opened a couple years ago - it's the ONLY time I've ever gone. I was working next door and had watched them through the building process thrilled that, what looked like, a potentially exquisite sushi bar would be in Brunswick. Was it exquisite? No (obviously, if I haven't chosen to go back). Was it good? Yes. The atmosphere was beautiful - it just felt comfortable, a little indie, and it even had a romantic quality to it despite the fact that I was with friends (maybe it's the warm colors it's decorated in or the low lights). But, it felt overcrowded, slightly claustrophobic - as in, I couldn't move much once I was sitting because of the people behind and around me. The food was decent, but I was shocked at how tiny the portions were given the prices. My friend had avocado maki rolls and the garden maki rolls - they were very, very small (the smallest I've ever seen) and rolled very, very tightly. I had the vegetable stirfry noodles and there couldn't have been more than a small handful mounded on my extraordinarily large plate (and I remember it being slightly bland tasting, too). I feel very strongly that I owe it to myself as a foodie, and to Little Tokyo as a now "older" establishment, to come back and re-try it. It's been a couple years and maybe they've finally found their own groove. It doesn't have to be exquisite, but better than "good" would be nice!

service: poor, the women were especially unfriendly; our waiter didn't come to check up on the food atmosphere: cute and fun food: we ordered the salmon teriyaki and the sashimi bento lunches, which comes with miso soup, salad, and edamame. they were all mediocre and small in amount. drinks: we had the taro and coconut bubble tea to-go. as a HUGE lover of bubble tea, i strongly do not recommend you purchase this. they were watery, and the coconut bubble tea was basically pineapple juice. i don't understand why this place is so hyped... it was average and did not stand out.

Stupendous. Top to bottom excellence. Our scorpion bowl was smallish but potent and the rolls we selected didn't produce a bad bite. Service: really good. Our server was quiet, fast, and pleasant. Didn't get a name but he was efficient. Also, you get these warm towels with your water, they smell amazing and start you off on the right foot Food: again, I didn't find a bite I didn't like. We ordered the crazy roll, California, Philadelphia, spicy scallop, and volcano. Each were well-rolled and very tasty, although the Philadelphia was a little cream cheese-heavy for my liking. The edamame we had for an appetizer was salted to perfection and a solid portion for two. Another perk, and an aspect of sushi that does t receive enough attention, was the ginger and wasabi. The ginger was flavorful and crisp, very effective in cleansing the palate. The wasabi actually had a bite too. There is nothing worse than weak wasabi and the type they use clears your sinus, just like it should. General: I would, and will go again. Really strong performance and not much to improve upon. The price was also doable, totaling 65$ for two with one drink, an app, and five rolls.

Pretty standard mid-range Japanese food here. We had a few maki rolls, edamame, miso soup, starter salad, and stir fried soba with beef. The sweet potato maki was a standout, the crunch of the fried sweet potato lovely textural contrast with the rice. The salad a low point. As is so bafflingly common, they choose to serve a salad of bland, out of season vegetables. A single underripe tomato wedge sullenly glares at you from the plate. They have "bento" lunches, but these are not served in a bento box as one might expect. We ordered a dragon roll as well, but the server forgot to put the order in, so that was disappointing.

It can be challenge to find a good sushi spot. Well I found one and it's not too far from home!! I tried bubble tea for the first time and pretty sure I found a new addiction. It's a creamy drink that comes in different flavors (I chose chai) with little tapicio balls at the bottom. Theses have a unique texture and add to the fun with a wide straw that you get to suck up as you drink. We ordeded gyozo as an appetizer, which were cooked perfectly crisp edges and soft centers served with hot mustard and soy sauce. We ordered a few different rolls and they all come served together in this adorable little wooden boat. This was an exciting addition to the experience. The hawaiin roll with sweet potatoe was something new and so delicious. Even though is it bigger around I managed to get in all in one bite. All of the rolls we ordered were delicious, perfectly rolled together and a great medley of flavors. The waitor was engaging, funny, polite, attentive and even made reccommendations for us. I think I'm craving some sushi already.

I'm here with my father for college tours. I am part Japanese and I was very very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We asked for the steak cooked rare and it came well done. The crab in the roll was fake crab and was actually fish. The roll also was supposed to include avocado but instead there was cucumber. The yellowtail was cut so thick and was not how it is supposed to be done. I do not recommend this place to anyone

This is the best sushi restaurant in town! The service is superb and friendly. I make sure to stop here as much as I can when im passing by or in town! It's a very popular place with everyone and it was at full capacity when the school yr started on labor day weekend! Highly reccommend it!

I've had two meals here now, and excited to go back again. Finally, sushi in Brunswick!!! The first meal I wasn't feeling that well, so sadly, while my friends around me dined on an array of fresh looking fantastic sushi, I stuck with white rice and Miso soup. The second time joined a friend for a quick lunch. I had the spicy tuna roll and the Garden roll, which has oshinko, mango, apple, cucumber, and avacado. The spicy tuna roll was one of the best I've ever had. The Garden roll was great also. Can't wait to go back soon and try more. I would give it 5 stars, except the Miso soup and the green tea are both terrible. In fact, the I think they might be the same thing! They both have this fishy taste I just couldn't get past....Also, if you order a meal, the salad it comes with is such a poor excuse for a salad, I feel they would be better off just skipping it, or trying to jazz it up a bit. A few limp lettuce leaves on a plate with an mystery dressing (miso maybe?) Better off to skip the all inclusive meals and order various rolls!

I found this place thanks to yelp while in the area and thought the 2 rolls I had were excellent. I also ordered the fish soup and thought it was so good I ordered a second bowl. The staff is friendly and the menu has everything you could want in a sushi place, plus the decor was top notch and very clean.

The waiter was great! It must've been easy serving such delicious sushi! Everything was clean and all the food was fresh. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I am on a "roll" at finding great places to eat in Brunswick. Little Tokyo has great food and atmosphere all "rolled" into one. I ordered bubble tea for the first time and was surprised how good it was. Ordered multiple types of rolls and was pleased with each one. Great flavors and combinations. I wish I had room and the money to order more but my bank "roll" was getting thin. Next payday I will certainly be "rolling'" back into little Tokyo for another delicious sushi roll.

I really hesitate to give any restaurant one star - how can you possibly expect profitability without any regard to the quality of food? That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the service was solid. The sushi however, was unacceptable to the point of almost being inedible. I ordered toro, salmon, and uni sashimi, and the color and taste was off for all three. The spicy tuna roll was stale. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I like to go here and sit at the bar alone and eat sushi as I watch their slide show of pictures of sushi. Good if you are in the sushi mood. Very Americanized, but definitely a gem of Brunswick.

This restaurant is pretty good. I've been here a few times for dinner and it's always been a good meal. The portions are good. The miso soup is good but the salad is a major disappointment. The dressing is bland and is not a ginger dressing. If you come from a big northeast city, you'll be looking for ginger dressing on the salad and this has a very bland dressing. There are better dressings in Hannaford! The main course is usually quite good, although I felt that there weren't enough shrimp items on the menu other than tempura and sushi. I was hoping to get some non-sushi shrimp, and I don't like tempura, but I didn't see shrimp teriyaki or anything similar. The menu could be expanded. Overall, a decent restaurant but could be better.

I walked in and grabbed a Hawaiian Maki roll and a delicious cocktail and it was awesommmmme:) Like super delicious. I would come back for an actual meal in a half a heartbeat. Right on the main drag. Check it out! Oh if I only lived in Brunswick..

Sashimi and sushi tasted like a refrigerator. Either their fridge needs to be cleaned or the fish was kept in there too long. They call their lunches "bento" but there's no actual bento box or plate; very disappointing. I've enjoyed Japanese food in Japan and this is the furthest from authentic cuisine you can get. If you're into Americanized crap, please enjoy.

The environment is fun - sparkly lights, with a casual, laid back atmosphere - and the rolls were good. Waiter was chatty and nice. Drinks were pretty strong. I'd go back for a casual lunch or dinner if I was in the area.

basic, indelicately sliced sashimi by clearly untrained sushi chef. shan't be duke here.

Good sushi rolls. Enjoyed the Golden Banana Roll. Food was good but unprofessional service from the wait staff. Too much flirting and playing around while customers were waiting to be served.

Hot towels, Melon Sake, and Gyoza....what more could you ask for? Little Tokyo offers solid Japanese food and good quality sushi in a warm, cozy place. Fast, friendly service and decent prices. TIP: try the Cucumber Mint Sake-tini, made with Sake, cucumber, ginger-infused syrup and fresh mint and the Alligator Maki - a shrimp tempura maki with crab & avocado, wrapped with roasted eel - YUM.

Great sushi place in Brunswick, ME. You know when you order a spicy tuna roll and it's all mushy/no crunch/mostly soggy filler - this was the opposite!!! Really great spicy tuna - fresh tempura flakes for just the right amount of crunch and fresh spicy tuna mix. I also got a roll - can't remember the name - that was a California roll topped with spicy tuna. I'm not a fan of the crab stick so I asked if I could get just cucumber/avocado with the spicy tuna topping. They happily did this for me AND added a little extra tuna to the inside of the roll. Highly recommend. Actually - another thing - I'm getting sick of sushi rolls that are cut so big you almost have to use your chopsticks to force them into your mouth. Not the case here - the rolls were perfectly filled and cut into 8 smaller pieces - love! The restaurant is very clean, cute twinkly lights. Extremely friendly staff. Hot towels and iced glass for beer is a nice touch. Yum. And prices were pretty good. Like $50ish for edamame, 2 regular rolls, 2 speciality rolls, soda and two beers.

My wife and I popped in for a quick lunch and left hungry and I'll tell you why. First of all, this isn't Japanese cuisine. It may be Chinese food and even then it's bad Chinese food. The udon was served fried and greasy with bone dry chicken that was just disgusting. The sushi.. The rice was dry, flavorless and falling apart. The fish was flavorless, pale and obviously not prepared by a professional. It really upsets me when I see business taking advantage of people who don't know any better. Unfortunately for Little Tokyo we lived in Japan for many years and this. is. not. Japanese cuisine. It's just bad Chinese food run by Chinese who don't understand what they are doing.

Stellar service with a smile. Started with the Quail egg shooter for some fun, which was fantastic. The tuna tatake was awesome. Every sushi restaurant has a house version and the light sauce was tasty and just spicy enough to be warm and flavorful. Then the Tokyo Yacht for two. Excellent presentation went hand in hand with exquisite flavor. Of course, plenty of sake. There's always a distinct difference when the seafood is fresh. A great dining experience I'll be back for.

We ordered the Dragon Roll and the Volcano. Both were very good and the presentation was very pretty. My husband also ordered the chicken katsu - which was average but he loved the the sauce. The vegetable fried noodles, I ordered buckwheat, was not very flavorful. But.... the dessert was delicious. I don't know what it was called but 4 balls of ice cream wrapped in mochi. Each was a separate flavor: mango, my favorite; green tea, my husband's favorite; strawberry & black bean. Our waitress was great - friendly and accommodating. The owner was in and is extremely friendly. She remembered us even though it had been quite a while since we'd been in.

At first I was thrilled that a sushi restaurant was coming to Brunswick, ME, a place where ethnic food is accepted more than neighboring counties. I suppose it was no surprise to me that on opening weekend the meat and fried appetizers were flying out of the kitchen whereas the sushi chefs looked bored with the lack of orders coming their way; I chose to remedy that. I ordered various maki's and nigiri's, and while some were average, the mackerel was very oily and fresh (a good thing for you sushi novices out there), and the uni nigiri I ordered came with a dab of wasabi underneath freshly cooked rice as to almost pass on the message from the sushi chefs: "Finally, someone orders something other than a california roll" The salmon roll was a miss, reminding me more of the sushi I could get at Hannaford when I don't feel like cooking as opposed to a Japanese Restaurant; The vegetables and rice was unexceptional, and in the loosely packed roll was a 1:3 ratio of salmon to vegetables, very lackluster. The rice was very tightly pressed as I was unable to discern between each grain on my roll, a letdown to the light, airy and fresh uni sushi I had at the same time. As for cooked food the gyozas reminded me of the frozen brand I get for party favors, and I found it rather unexceptional. My mom's chicken was simply fried chicken with a ponzu sauce over greens, as opposed to flavorful, marinated chicken over rice. And the house dressing? It was (bleh) ranch, are you kidding me? If the owner is reading this, make your own ginger dressing, it's quite easy and I promise, the Mainers will like it. Hailing from NYC, this would not last anywhere in a major city, making the 5 star Boston review quite suspect. It appears this place has been sabotaged by the staff as well due to the professional "amateur" photography and suspiciously high number of 5 star reviews. Shame. I recommend going the extra 15 minutes to Miyako in Freeport or making the trek to Portland if you're looking for sushi. I had my hopes up for this place and it was at best, average.

I went here a couple times as was unimpressed, as I had I tried to keep it simple with cucumber/avocado roll and spicy tuna roll, and found both completely underwhelming- dry rice, falling apart, very little flavor and freshness. However... I have since been back many times and, after choosing a bit more adventurously off the menu, found some quite tasty options. The Idaho roll, the tuna tempura roll, and the spider roll are favorites of mine. Have always found the staff to be accommodating and the experience to be pleasant.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I know that even when I read decent reviews of sushi places on Yelp, I tend to take it with a grain of salt (because there are plenty of people on here who think Sticky Rice sushi is good, when it is appalling). Anyway, I read good reviews on here and made my way to Little Tokyo. I went on a Saturday night at about 8:45 and the place was nearly empty, even though it was not due to close for more than an hour and a half. There had just been a big storm, and students weren't back from their break yet, though, so the whole town was pretty quiet during my visit. However, the ambiance was nice. I sat at the bar, and ordered a seaweed salad, a scorpion roll (eel, cucumber, tobiko, shrimp) and a spicy yellowtail roll. The seaweed salad was pretty standard, but good and a decent portion. Both rolls were really good. The quality of the fish was good, and they were swiftly prepared. The bartender that night I think was the owner--Mr Lee--and he and Theresa were super friendly. We chatted for quite some time, and they made recommendations for other local restaurants. I had a really lovely experience and definitely thought the sushi itself was very good.

Little Tokyo has been a go-to restaurant for me. I've ordered every roll on the menu, including all of the specialty rolls. All of them were good, but very few were excellent. The Bowdoin roll was my favorite. I find the basic rolls to be great, and I have no hesitations ordering a "basic" roll. I found that the portions of the rolls to be great. and would then be a good deal for the price. The waitstaff is hit or miss. I've had some good experiences with one server or two. However, one Friday that I went I felt hurried and felt like I was being pushed out because I was eating alone (but by no means slowly). Had this been my first experience to the restaurant, I never would have eaten here again, and is the reason this is a 4-star review, instead of a 5-star. But, all in all, I've enjoyed the quality of service here. Compared to the other sushi restaurant a few doors down, Little Tokyo is better hands down. I haven't been back to that other restaurant since going here.

What a friendly little place! I've only been there for lunch and been satisfied with our meals every time, ever since it opened. Other people on this site have complained about portion sizes - obviously they haven't had the udon bowls which are about the size of a punch bowl, chock full of noodles, veggies and your protein. Much too big for a single person. I ordered the appetizer size shrimp/veggie tempura and the veggie soup, on the assumption that two appetizers=1 meal. The veggie soup is in a small bowl but, again, stuffed with all sorts of veg and mushrooms and the tempura had so much on the plate that I had to share. I love my miso soup but I make that at home now and order the veggie soup at Little Tokyo instead! Rolls are good - and they come in the same size seaweed wrappers as all restaurants use, so I'm not sure what the complaint is. The basic rolls are a bit boring but the more creative ones have all been a hit with us. One of my frequent dining partners likes the noodle/stir fry dish and always asks for extra veggies on it - and always gets them without an extra charge. There's another Japanese place a few doors down that opened a year or so ago. I went there once and - never again. It's Little Tokyo when we're in Brunswick.

I love this place and get take out from here all the time. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh, the miso soup is good the variety of rolls and ingredients are wonderful. My father was stationed in Japan for years and has looked all over for what he calls "decent soba noodles" and he found them here. He always gets the stir fried beef soba noodles, which are my second favorite dish. I recently convinced my mother to try sushi which was so much easier with the variety of types of rolls at Little Tokyo. My favorite roll is the Negi-hama but the garden roll and the Bowdoin are just as good. and the Salmon sashimi is like butter in your mouth! My only criticism is that I love to mix a little wasabi into my soy for dipping but the rolls here are so good it seems like a shame to cover the natural flavor. If you can do apps you have to try the gyoza. They are little pouches of lusciousness. Oh and the avocado salad of so creamy and rich! Did I mention how much I love this place?!

Maybe because only one Japanese restaurant in Brusnwick, so this may have been over rated... I am from Hawaii with Super good sushi restaurants!! such as Kuru Kuru Sushi. If Kuru Kuru moved here they can make a big hit!! Tempra was good, but over price compairing to Kabuki restaurant in Hawaii.... The lobster roll was super expensive and it was vvery hard for me to find the lobster in the roll.

Being one of the very few asian restaurants around town, this place is pretty decent. The stir-fry udon/soba bento is delicious and reasonably priced if you come in for lunch. (I'm not sure about dinner) It comes with soup, salad, and your choice of 3 pieces of a cali roll, cucumber avocado, or spicy tuna. I've gotten the california roll twice but it is definitely not the best/the freshest. ALSO, do not get the bubble tea unless you like it not so sweet. The boba itself was chewy and good, but the milk tea tasted diluted.. Service has always been great! The first time I went, I got free edamame while I waited for the food. Place is very clean, they have unique tables with elaborately etched in pictures. Food could come a little faster, but there is usually a good amount of people when I go.

As far as sushi places go, this one is the best in Maine! Upon arriving, we were seated right away by a friendly hostess. The decor is colorful and the atmosphere is vibrant and full of life. Another thing that impressed me was how clean everything is, this told me I was eating at an establishment that takes pride in presentation....BRING ON THE SUSHI!!! We decided to order the sushi boat for 2 and plum Saki. When the waitress brought the boat over, I couldn't believe the amount that had been laid upon us, just absolutely awesome! Just such colorful, clean, tasty sushi! The plum Saki was served hot and had an amazing kick that really sealed the deal. Overall, friendly staff, great atmosphere and tasty sushi! Little Tokyo way to go! :)

We have eaten here several times and everything has been wonderful. Yes, the young woman who runs Little Tokyo is a doll who comes to your table, all smiles, to be sure everything is as good as you expected. The hot towels before the meal are a treat and the atmosphere is delightful. The entrees come with miso soup, salad and rice. All that ends up being quite a bargain. The teriakis are very good as are the noodle dishes. Do not be afraid of raw fish. All sushi does not have raw fish and their menu will guide you as to the ingredients. Last time we were there, we tried a raw tuna appetizer and it was very good. If Bobby Flay on the Food Network can happily prepare and eat raw tuna, then it must be safe and delicious! Try a shrimp tempura sushi roll. It's a real treat to have the crunchy shrimp in every bite. Check out the pictures and menu on their web site: littletokyomaine.com

OK...first of all for those that don't know, the Restaurant was started for the Daughter of the owner of China Rose in Freeport. She works hard at what she does and takes pride in her work and her staff. Wait staff is friendly, food is alright, I usually had the Bento Box, but was sad that they seem to think that Edamame is considered part of a Bento Box. The other parts of the Bento box are great, well cooked and good portions. The bathrooms are at the very back of the Restaurant and dimly lit. Thats the only fault I saw, but it is what they were stuck with and they make do with what they have. At least they're clean. They know me, so they are pleasant, I can't speak to any ill treatment by others, but can speak to ill treatment of staff by customers on multiple occasions. It's Chinese folks running a japanese Restaurant. and For Brunswick...thats something. The food is good, the staff is friendly and its worth going back again, I have and I will. Its like going home for me.

Went in to have a little lunch. We got the Ika, Sashimi Bento, Avocado Salad and Spider Roll. The Ika was burnt so we were disappointed. Sashimi Bento was okay since it was all sashimi but wasn't worth the $12. You get 8 sashimi pieces and 3 pieces of CA roll for $12. Avocado Salad wasn't much for $7. YOu get about a quarter of an avocado, handful of lettuce and the dressing was plain mayo with some other sauce. Spider was okay. You get about 6 pieces and the softshell crab was pretty good. The host and another employee were eating and drinking in front of the customers. She had a spoon in her mouth most of the time - seating customers with her mouth full. Really unprofessional. Not one thank you came out of their mouth when we left the restaurant. I would never go back here again!

Love the hot towel, love the waitstaff, love the prices! Granted, in a sushi restaurant the choices for vegetarians come limited, but rest assured there are several: vegetable dumplings are a great starter, and I usually order udon noodles with vegetables as my entrée. If you like the taste of sushi but don't want the fish, there are several options for you as well (cucumber, avocado, etc). Always pretty crowded. They take reservations for "larger parties," but I was able to get one for a table of four anyway.

I wanted to like the place more...sure was fancy for a joint in Brunswick. The base salad had a unique creamy dressing. The waitstaff was top notch and very friendly. They had wonderful green tea bubble tea. My issue was with the sushi, which for a coastal town, was just, eh, average. I've had better sushi in Kansas and Arizona, as a random comparison. Maybe it was an off day, though their Tako was fresh and delicious.

You can't beat this restaurant for the money and the outstanding service. The sushi was terrific, and the service was friendly and efficient. We especially enjoyed the Gyozas, seaweed salad, and tuna sashimi. When back in the Brunswick area we will be certain to dine here again!

a friendly sushi place! One of the nicest greetings by hostess and waiters in any chinese or Japanese restaurant we've visited. Fresh authentic sushi. The shumai was delicious -warm and lightly braised. Also the spicy salmon was good. The chicken stir fried with broad noodles was also a delight from the non-sushi part of the menu. The restaurant is nicely decorated and spacious seating allows for comfortable conversations without the place feeling loud. Two big screen TV's showing food up close...what's up with that?

For some reason, the name 'Little Tokyo' made us skeptical of their quality. As usual we checked reviews to make sure the place wasn't a total dive before we made the drive to Brunswick. Obviously the previous reviews didn't scare us away because we set off for some sushi. It is conveniently located right off of Maine St., and I had no trouble finding a place to park on a Saturday evening (curbside). As soon as we got inside I was excited, not just because I couldn't wait for the sushi, but the atmosphere was very inviting. Everything was clean and updated. The service was excellent. It was the first place we have gone to that offered "trainers" for the chop sticks, for anyone that may need them. Also our waiter wasn't afraid to show his sense of humor while still maintaining a professional appearance. Their maki menu wasn't the most plentiful, but it had your basics and a decent selection of specialty rolls. As far as pricing goes, I'd say it was just above average. The food was delicious, and the wasabi wasn't too bad either. However, they were skinnier rolls than those of comparable prices. They were fresh and flavorful and satisfied our sushi craving, so we were happy none the less. I would definitely recommend this place to those in the area, but I cannot say hurry to Brunswick for it wasn't the very best we've had so far.

I'm so thrilled to have Little Tokyo in Brunswick. It has a very reasonably priced menu that offers many different options for sushi eaters, as well as non-sushi eaters. I've sampled quite a few varieties of sushi, and the Volcano Roll sticks out in my mind (crab, scallop, spicy mayo, avocado, and crisp tempura on top = yumm) I've eaten here many times and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

I enjoyed my lunch here. Nice space, friendly and efficient waitstaff. As for the food, I ordered salmon and mackerel nigiri and the B52 roll to start. The fish was extremely fresh tasting, the sushi rice was cooked perfectly and the contrast in textures in the roll were excellent. My folks aren't raw fish fans, but they enjoyed their California roll. My Dad got the teriyaki chicken which came with plain white rice. He said the chicken was great, but the rice and broccoli were a bit bland. My Mom loved her stir fried veggie udon noodle dish and I enjoyed my udon noodle soup with an abundance of shrimp, salmon and chicken. The prices aren't cheap, but are about what you would expect for a good quality Japanese restaurant.

Fish was good. Fresh. Maine crab salad very good. Miso good as well. The simple nigiri was good, too, which is where I should have stopped. The rolls were too convoluted and fell apart, but this reflects my personal preference. Service was 'eh. Will be back-- I think if I'd figured out how to order bento box at lunch, I would have paid much less and been much happier with the value.

Probably the best sushi I ever had. I was so shocked by the quality and service here. I went back 3 days in a row. The best part is the TV's on the wall showing all the different dishes.

I first scuffed at the idea of a Sushi bar in Maine but a few guys from work invited me to come try it out. I quickly changed my opinion of the place when I had the lobster roll it was awesome!!

Great Miso soup and some very good special rolls (Bowdoin, and a new take on the Boston roll). Three stars based on service and a little high price on some of the rolls. Service there that day seemed to be very sluggish, and servers went to tables based on what seemed to be a whim, not based on how long the custumers had been waiting. When getting sushi, it is understood that sometimes food will not get to the table at the same time, but i recieved all of mine close to ten minutes before my wifes. All together good food, little pricey, and sluggish service.

Fantastic quality at a decent price. Typical friendly Maine service as well. Was a bit skeptical about Sushi in Maine until I tried this place. It rivals some of the best sushi places in the Bay Area for sure. Ideal place for locals to enjoy great cuisine even if they live in the middle of no where...and great drop in place for tourist. Kudos Brunswick...you are really stepping it up a notch!

Oh My Goodness! I haven't had this good of sushi in a very long time. I grew up in Brunswick but I now live in Miami. Honestly, this has been the most amazing experience in a very long time. It started out with a not so good waiter, but 5 minutes through the meal the manager came to our table and checked on us. Theresa (the manager) made our night. We are major "Foodies" and we love Sake. She brought us quite a few different sakes, drinks, and conversation. I can honestly say, I will be back EVERY TIME I am in town.

This is one of the best restaurants in Brunswick, which isn't saying a lot, but the fish is fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. Also, they have wheat free tamari, which is great if you are on a gluten free diet. They have great lunch specials.

This was an exceptional find! We were greeted by a beautiful hostess and had the best waitress Angella. She truely was extraordinary because she was so caring and helped me find food that a young girl would like...and was able to help with other recommendations too. The food was great also. The price isn't all that bad either. One recommendation would to have a few samples for newbies to try. Other than that, I can't wait to I'm in the area again!

Wow. First time trying raw sushi, fifth Japanese Restaurant. Amazing. My wife had beef stir fry noodles, was amazing...I had tuna avocado roll, Phillidelphia Roll, and Hamachi Nigiri. All was amazing...especially love the Yellowfin (hamachi). Right next door to Gelato Fiasco, great dessert!
