My family, friends and I have been to Campfire dozens of times and it's consistently been a 5-star experience. They put a lot of effort into their menu and food prep (and frequently updated craft beer selection!), which is truly surprising for an otherwise unassuming roadside restaurant attached to a motel. You can know everything about Campfire Grille from this fact: it's always packed! You'll still get a table, but it's a busy place. All the locals go there after skiing, or many others snowmobile there as a destination. And even on week nights in summer, it's always busy. This is one time when it's definitely worth following the crowd. Go once, and you'll be a regular after that! Oh, and try the Apple Cheddar Turkey Panini while you're there!

Reasonable prices for pretty large portions. Very nice waitress and nice to sit outside on the deck with a view of the lake and backyard! A little dark inside though.

$8 for kids grilled cheese and no drinks included is pretty outrageous. Food overpriced and overrated. Took forever to get simple meals

Cool cute spot. Owner got to wait in our party after a long hike up Pleasant Mountain. Friendly service, nice atmosphere and food good. I will be back.

We went on a Friday night and it was very busy, but we were seated within 15 minutes. Our waitress was nice, but clearly frazzled... Our apps came out within a reasonable amount of time, but within three minutes, our meals arrived and everything barely fit on the table. We had to flag someone down for silverware. Wings were very good. If you wanted bread with your meal, it cost extra. Burger was ok- it tasted and looked like a pre made/shaped burger. Not the flame grilled flavor I was hoping for. Onions were not grilled as shown in the menu. Mac and cheese was excellent. Prices a little high, but it's summer so it was expected. If we go back, it will be during the week when it's not so busy/noisy.

Surprisingly good little place. We ordered the tempura chicken with sweet chille sauce, steak tips, cheese burger and calamari. All were nicely presented with good serving sizes and delicious.

We were coming back from Arcadia National Park heading for North Conway and we were getting hungry and just happen to be near Bridgeport area. We used YELP and came across great reviews for Campfire Grill and we were so glad we did. There is lots to choose from. We had the sirloin tips smothered in peppers and onions with a side of baked beans and corn bread with maple butter. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed :)

Wow! This place was a pleasant surprise! Like another reviewer we weren't expecting much but needed a quick bite and happened to be driving by. The food was great (we had a burger & a turkey sandwich (thick cut turkey!)) & they had Maine Beer Co on tap! We sat at the bar where the service was great and the locals were friendly. The owner obviously takes pride in his food as well as his beer selection. Next time we'll probably plan to stop here...

Came In their 2nd anniversary.... Great beer selection... Lots of good local brews... I had a choc porter (from Maine) and a Brooklyn choc stout. Both delicious. While ordering takeout they setup the show for their party and an ICE LUGE both in front of me... Would have partaked in both (ice luge =dance floor dance party) but preganant wife at home needed food (as did I)... Great proximity to Shawnee peak for après ski.... Owner kicked me down swag... Takeout food took a while, but was good

We were a large party of 7. They did give us a reservation and table was ready when we arrived. It was in the bar room, unfortunately very loud in there. Had appetizer of chips and blt dip. It was very good. Dinner did not include salads or bread. Disappointed with that. I had lobster over fettuccine noodles with a butter -lemon sauce. It had alot of lobster meat and was a large portion. Tasty. Also served at our table was salmon, a lobster roll, a burger, a steak and buffalo Mac and cheese. All large portions and no complaints from the food. service was timely. Just wished dinners included salads and fresh bread.

Service was slow, food was decent and filling. Order the hot loaf of bread with whipped butter!

The food was decent, but for a $23 steak when I ask for medium rare I don't expect it to be medium. Same way with my friends burger. Our waitress, Vanessa was excellent, but almost every other waitress was not smiling and seemed as though they hated their job. When I brought this to the owners attention she started defending the waitresses, which is fine, but also started putting down our waitress that we loved. Will never eat here again with management like that.

The service at the bar is awful, especially when the blonde is working. I went in twice and was totally ignore by her. Had to wait at least 15 minutes for a drink. This happened to me twice. The food though is wonderful, never had a bad meal.

My favorite things about the Campfire are the root beer bbq wings and the drink menu. They change the drink menu seasonally, but always have a fun martini and cocktail list, including the smores martini. Great seasonal draft beers, with local selections features. Really close to where we stay in Bridgton, so we have not had to take advantage of the 'Campfire Coach,' but an offer of a safe ride is always a plus. Don't expect fancy ambiance, just locals and tourists mixing to have fun. Also has a motel attached, but I have no review of the accommodations.

Checked this place out based on Yelp reviews. Atmosphere is very casual, rather noisy. Food was surprisedly good. Had Asian sweet chili and root bear BBQ wings, shrimp plate and macncheese. Tasty. One disappointment was the service. No silverware on table and took a long time to grab someone's attention. Apps came and then within one minute so did our entree. Took another 10 minutes to get ketchup. Waitress was rather frazzled. In fairness, the place was busy....but a few minutes between apps and entree would have been nice. May try this place again, on a less busy night.

Let me preface this review with I have had several pleasant experiences at Campfire Grille. I don't normally write negative reviews but I felt compelled in this case. Stopped for a late lunch with the hubby and a friend. The bartender couldn't have been less engaged or interested in our enjoying our meal. My chicken parm came out burnt and the pasta was so over cooked it was mushy. I sent it back as it was basically inedible, I do understand that it wasn't her fault but she barely acknowledged that I was still waiting for my meal long after my companions finished their meals. I barely ate the second meal as it wasn't much better but I did scrape the breading off the chicken to take it home for the dogs, guess lunch wasn't a total loss. Long story short for me is if the customer service is good I can overlook a bad meal now and again.

Had lunch today. The turkey, apple panini was great. Also had the clam chowder it was excellent
(5)Rachel B.
The food was amazing - we had the buffalo Brussels sprouts appetizer and the sour dough bread to start - both were DELICIOUS. The Brussels sprouts were like crispy buffalo chicken bites, but with Brussels sprouts instead of chicken (that might sound weird... But it's delicious). The bread was warm and crispy (and cheesy!) on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. I had the turkey cheddar apple panini, which was delicious (the maple mayonnaise on it definitely was a huge factor to making it great). My friend got the grilled salmon with sautéed spinach and mashed sweet potatoes and loved it all. I tried some of her sweet potatoes - they were as good as she raved that they were. Come here if you're in the area, I will definitely go back.

Came in with low expectations but left very impressed. Progressive menu with several fun seasonal items. The draught beer selection was great. I had the Chicken Mac n' Cheese which was fantastic. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals as well. If you are in the area this seems to be the best dining option.
(4)Jay S.
Okay for the area. The beer selection is pretty good. The food is average, and pretty certain it is mostly frozen, not fresh food. The mashed potatoes seemed from a package and when we asked if the chowder was made in-house we were told no. It was from a can. Not ideal for the price.

Amazing every person in the place is great, food is Sooo good your missing out if you don't stop by.

I was spending Labor Day weekend nearby & stopped here on Friday evening. There were three empty tables on the back deck. After checking with the hostess if a well behaved road weary dog could eat here I got the green light to be seated. An extremely nice waitress was already wiping down the 8 seater table when I lay by my water dowl to listen to them discuss the appetisers. The house favorite was the home made chips, they came with melted gorgonzola & green onions, I only had the few plain chips which escaped the melted cheese but they were delicious & the humans soon polished them all off. The other app was a lightly battered basket of deep fried brussell sprouts with a buffalo dipping sauce, they raved about them but I did not get to try a single one. Apparently they could make me 'gassy' & the humans think their farts don't stink but that dog farts are horrendous, not very fair, but that's a dog's life, full of contradictions & human hypocricy! The entrees were a 1/2 rack of ribs with baked beans & fried onion strings for the male, (insert hypocrite farting comment here) & Mac n' Cheese with chicken for her. The ribs were extemely tender, slowly cooked but finished on the grill to give them a bit of 'bark' and came with just the right amount of a root beer based barbeque sauce which was surprisingly not as sweet as I'd feared. I didn't try his sides, but he ate them with his usual customary speed, he sometimes reminds me of my early days at the shelter with the communal puppy food bowl & some of the gluttons I was forced to share my dinner with. Her mac n' cheese was superb, a very generous portion with an excellent cheese sauce, with small pieces of breaded chicken throughout. She couldn't finish it & the leftovers were a great late night snack on Saturday night. A bark out to our wonderful waitress, Leanne, she was outstanding, very friendly but knew not to pat my head as a food handler in case it offended other diners. I recommend this restaurant's back patio area & food & staff very highly, 4.5 stars & I certainly hope to come here again, Maine is a great place for dogs!

Pleasantly surprised! Very polite service, comfortable casual atmosphere, and the food was great. The "Deer Chips" are exceptional! I enjoyed the Sunshine Salmon, which was cooked just right, very moist, and not overdone on the maple glaze. The spinach and sweet potatoes that came with it were very tasty and fresh. My husband liked his Pondicherry Salad, but wishes it were a bit larger. My Pear Ginger-tini was delicious. The waitress left the shaker with me so I could finish off the whole thing. Very nice dining experience. We'll go back for sure.

Went at night with family. Pleasantly surprised. This place could easily turn into a dive bar with the amount of locals there, the live music and such but it's not. The food is great and looks just as appetizing. Great lively atmosphere. The place to go if you are looking to have fun up in lonely Maine. I take away a star because of location and because they are edging on bar first then dining. They should try and make the distinction better. Don't go if you don't talk loud.

I learned some things here: * if you put soup on a plate it looks cool. * if you put soup on a plate it helps you stop from burning your mouth * if you put soup on a plate you can change tomato soup into gazpacho * ribs even if cold are nice The service was nice and fast enough. We would go back, but would attempt to coach them to heat and plate food correctly.
(4)Kallie M.
The food was good but the service is horrendous. It took forever to get a table and it wasn't even busy. They lie about their prices (which are way too high) and couldn't be bothered to bring me my to go back, which included half my meal. I gave them two stars only out of generosity.
(2)Scott D.
The food menu has changed a little but the food was good. I had the cod fish sandwich topped with coleslaw. The service was good even though it was busy. They had done nice selection of beers too.
(4)K. P.
Good food. Good beer selection. Great service. I has the ribs and while they were not the very best I've ever had, they were certainly good. I recommend the cornbread!
(4)Jim M.
Great beer, good food, very kid friendly.

I have been here twice and both times it has been very good. The Walden chicken and the buffalo chicken sandwich were very good. I went there on a Sunday during hurricane Irene and they were packed because they were one of the few with power. I still received great service and good food. 1 star deduct if it was located in greater boston. Definitely the best restaurant in the Bridgton, Naples area.

We're vacationing about 2 miles from this place and we'd heard good things, so we tried it. Very, very good! Friendly, big portions, and they make their own marinara sauce and fresh sourdough bread, the latter to order! I had the s'mores martini. Wow. Delicious! And they give you the shaker, so you really end up with 2 martinis, in essence. I had the lazy lobster--flavorful and ample, not too much ritz cracker breading. The Mac n cheese was sinful! Rich, creamy, and a sharp tang. My husband had steak tips, also very flavorful, clearly marinated in something, and a large portion. They have a $12.95 prime rib special on Mondays and we heard there was an hour wait recently. Tuesday was trivia night, and it was filling up quickly. With 2 small kids, we went earlier so had no trouble getting a table. Since we were trying to get to a movie, we didn't stay for the table side s'mores, but the vacation is young...we may be back!

Great pub spot in the woods! Fun for watching games, catching a band, lots of beer choices, game specials and locals.

We came here in June when my husband accidentally overcooked our chorizo on the grill at the cottage so we drove a few minutes to Bridgton. We both ordered the clam chowder and it was delicious! The server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the chicken wrap and it was plentiful! My husband ordered a steak, he was very happy with it and there was a man playing cover songs! It was a busy place!! Our dessert was the smores! Everything was excellent, we were excited to return. However the weekend we did want to return, we called to make reservations and the woman on the other end said there were no reservations left and then I asked if I could walk in and she said "you can try but we have a beach party tonight and I don't know if you should come" which I thought was an awkward response. So I ended up driving to Delaney's in North Conway for dinner.

Terrible service - on a slow night! Food was horribly prepared, dry and overlooked! Owner had no clue ....
