PUT YOUR HANDS UP AND GIVE ME ALL THE BISCUITS!!!! I am obsessed with this place. Despite the fact that it is in seedy Biddeford (message me and I will tell you why I get to call it that), this place is a warm and inviting spot of sunshine. The space is open and airy, but still beckons you to come in, get coffee and enjoy the large windows. I like that the coffee is serve yourself and that they have big thick mugs to enjoy it! There is a large family style table in the middle and smaller tables scattered around the restaurant. The food is heavenly. For the southerners out there: this is not meant to be a replica of southern cooking. Instead, it is more of a hipster-cool but not snobby reinterpretation of the original biscuit and gravy concept. Personally, I'm obsessed with Doc's Cure, which is a biscuit, sausage gravy, an egg, and thick sliced bacon. While cruising for a heart attack is my thing, they also have "healthier" options with salmon. What I really enjoyed is how they attempt to accommodate others with food preferences (read: allergies or vegetarians). While I am not a vegetarian, I appreciate the thought process that goes into welcoming everyone. Every time I go, I get a box of biscuits to take home with me and it is always gone in 2 days by the rest of my family. The staff is super friendly, but it is very sincere. Everyone that I have encountered has sincerely wanted you to enjoy your time and have great personalities. The only drawback is it isn't in Portland (maybe this isn't a drawback as I'm pretty sure I would eat here every day if it was) and that they do close somewhat early for my lazy self. FIVE STARS. GO HERE! IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE!!! (maybe walk here so you can burn off all the calories you eat?)

Really good biscuits nice homemade style. Also love the sausage meat. Their blue berry scones are awesome as well.

I have never written a review before for Yelp based on the experience of others, but I have to confess that I have never tasted the food at Biscuits. I'm a Yankee and biscuits just aren't part of my world. I walked into this joint about three times and walked out again each time, uninspired. But everyone was raving about their biscuits and so I took the opportunity when some North Carolina natives came up for lobster and beach. I surprised them with the pulled-pork biscuit sandwich. This is a monstrous huge item with cole slaw on top of the pulled pork, sandwiched between a monstrous huge biscuit. And it was only like $8 or so, real bargain price. So when we were passing around the "lobster rolls" on the beach, surprise surprise, the Southerners got a real Southern-style treat, and they raved about it! Biscuit not too sweet, not too crumbly, and gi-normous. Pulled pork not too sweet, perfectly cooked, not too fatty. Cole slaw on top I guess is the "real Southern deal", that kind of grosses me out, but hey I'm a Yankee. Then I go their plain biscuits which are crazee cheap and served them instead of bread or potatoes at a lobster bake, again for some visitors from the South. They raved about these biscuits! How can a Yankee make biscuits like a Southerner, that can't be a Yankee making those biscuits, yadda yadda yadda, Southerners do like to talk...

I've been waiting a long time for Biscuits & Company and it was worth the wait. They made breakfast and lunch entrees using their own amazing biscuits and the food is delicious. Everybody is friendly, the restaurant is spotless, and even the coffee is excellent. If you're looking for something different but not at all scary or weird, Biscuits & Company might be what you're looking for. I can see this restaurant becoming a regular stop.

So, so, good. I went with a friend to get breakfast, was pleasantly surprised. Small menu, but what they do, they rock! Loved the atmosphere too! Best biscuit I've ever had. Will definitly be back again.

A true happy place!! Stopped in on the way back from a wedding and it was a fantastic find. The biscuits are outstanding. It was a very welcoming vibe by the staff, very calming atmosphere. Felt like I was in someone's home watching the woman in the back making biscuits. I got a breakfast sandwich and my hubby got biscuits and gravy. We were both very pleased!

This is my favorite place to go for breakfast or lunch, I absolutely love it! I took a couple of my friends here and now they're obsessed too! I'm always craving the cookies, scones, and chicken and biscuit sandwich whenever I come home for the weekend from college. The employees are also very kind and friendly, service is great. The environment is comfortable and hip. Overall fantastic place :)

Great place with a funky atmosphere and biscuit to die for! Our B&B recommended this spot, and we were not disappointed. As veteran of funky spots all over New England, we have high standards, and who would think that downtown Biddeford would have a real gem. my wife and I tried Biscuits several times and were delighted to find it as comfortable as someone's living room, with a casual array of wooden benches and booths and stuffed armchairs, an eclectic mix of patrons, and some very creative breakfast and lunch offerings built around their wonderful biscuits. We are vegetarians (not vegans) and there are a nice selection of egg based dishes that are so creative. these people should franchise into college towns like Cambridge and Greater Boston! .

Fantastic atmosphere, wonderfully flavorful food, great staff, excellent coffee -- everything my group of four had was delicious.

My husband and I just moved Biddeford and are so excited about this little gem. It's busy and happening and they are constantly changing their specials. It's a little slice of upscale breakfast in a upcoming area. Everything is fresh and and delicious. Portions are large so you can split an item if you are in a budget. I would defiantly recommend!

Went to Biscuits & Co. this morning for breakfast and what a delight it was!! The breakfast sandwich was delicious! I could tell there was a lot of love in that sandwich :) The girl at the front counter was quick to throw out suggestions since it was my first time there...and the owner was delightful to talk to. I loved the ambiance...from the excerpt about biscuits on the wall, to the cookbooks on the bookshelf, to the tables and chairs. What a great addition to downtown Biddeford. I can't wait to go back!

This place is great if you want locally resources food and don't made tasty limited offerings. Fresh organic coffee, delicious pastries from scratch and a few sandwiches available. The bacon and home fries are delicious. Atmosphere is hipster. Your stomach will be happy!

Wow - a new specialty restaurant that lives up to the hype! The biscuits and scones are superb....best I have had in Maine ever. They have Moxie - smart of them. The sausage gravy needs a bit more pepper, but they started out making it more peppery and Mainers said it was too spicy...pity, but you gotta do what the customers want here in boonieville. Service is friendly and fast. Nice array of art and diverse furniture. Cannot wait to try out all their menu items.

Yesterday, a large group of us visited Biscuits & Co., and boy, I can't wait to go back!! Where to begin. Well, first, I should say our group consisted of 12, so our organizer called ahead and they were gracious enough to reserve us a large family style table in the center of the shop. This is great as everyone knows - brunch on a Sunday with a large group can be challenging to say the least. When we arrived at the shop, the table was clearly marked and waiting for us. Sitting in the center of the place was great as it afforded me the opportunity to take in the ambiance. This place is cute! So many details from the large word mural defining the biscuits and what makes them unique, to the large menus on chalk board and butcher paper, the shelves with unique to Maine items, and so much more. For ordering, you go to the counter, place your order, pay and then return to your seat. When your food is ready, servers do bring it to your table. Considering our large group, it was very smooth and efficient. And, every order was correct! Way to go! Now, onto the most important part - the food!! The menu was pretty extensive, especially considering almost everything is biscuit based. We were there for brunch on Sunday, so some of the items were not available. But, truly, the selection was still pretty expansive. I ended up ordering the Eggs Benedict Sardou - I am an eggs benedict nut! Love them. And, I often prefer the twist a place offers instead of the traditional. So, I ordered their twist which included a lovely artichoke hearts and spinach sauce instead of the ham (so vegetarian friendly). It was really quite delicious. And, the star really was the biscuit, as it should be! I also have to give a shout out to the home fries - perfectly seasoned, slightly crunchy, just what I like! Couple last thoughts. The owner here is friendly, knowledgable, accommodating, and passionate about local business. What a great lady! And, finally, I can't wait to return and try the Pulled Pork in MOXIE SAUCE on a biscuit!! Gosh, I wish they were close enough to go today for lunch!

Points for adorable-ness and for vegan/veg options! When you walk in the door of Biscuits & Company you walk into a country-kitchen with hipster influence. They have a surprisingly large menu - it's amazing what you can do with a biscuit! The staff that greeted us was very friendly and patient while I figured out my indecisiveness. I went with a biscuit with vegan wild mushroom gravy and an egg. My other half got the biscuit with sausage gravy and an egg. The biscuits were DELICIOUS and huge! I thoroughly enjoyed my biscuit with gravy, but I have to admit I was expecting a creamy gravy, even though it was vegan. The wild mushroom gravy has amazing flavor, and I would order it again, but for whatever reason I did not expect a broth-like gravy. Great flavor, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was a little thicker. The other half really enjoyed her meal, though she said it was not quite warm enough. Flavor was great - but it was not hot hot when it arrived. We also got an iced coffee (yum) and a cookie to go (doubleyum). My wife said it was the best cookie she'd had in a long time. I can't wait to go back and try a breakfast sandwich - of which there are many options! Toward the end of our meal we were approached by the owner who was SUCH a sweetheart! We could tell she put her heart into each biscuit and was really sincere with customers. She takes pride in her new restaurant and was happy to hear feedback. She also recommended things to do after our meal, since we had never been to that part of Biddeford before. Service and atmosphere is a 5+++. Food was very good, but needs to be perfected. I'll make the trip from Portland at least once more to check them out again!

Them biscuits! Mmmmmmm. Love the Pop's Cure, which is basically everything on the breakfast menu in a bowl. Not too much, but plenty filling. Iced coffee is great. Hipster-approved.

It is great. Not the soupy gravy but thick robust with lots of meat. The biscuits were delicious as well. The bacon Mmmmm. Will definitely return.

Oh Biscuits and Company, I really wanted to love you! I wanted to swoon over your biscuits and gravy, I wanted to sing your praises, but it seems that it just wasn't meant to be. I will start by saying that the biscuits here are amazing. They have a great density and the flavors are amazing, but sadly, with everything I ate, all I could taste was the biscuit. I ordered The Dana, a vegetarian sandwich with pesto, roasted garlic and balsamic over roasted tomatoes, mozzarella and mixed greens. Instead of these amazing and potent flavors coming out and complimenting the biscuit all I could taste was the biscuit. My significant other decided to try the Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. When it came out it wasn't even warm. I understood it was a chilly day and the room was a bit cold, but that would of made an steaming plate of this not only comforting but also welcomed with open arms. When I asked him what he thought, I received a simple shoulder shrug and he just said "Okay". When I tried I bite of it I found the same reaction. The gravy was cold and it was lacking flavor. I will say that the coffee was amazing! The significant other couldn't stop raving about it! Oh Biscuits and Co. I hope to try you again, but I don't know how soon I will return.

The space is very cozy, but they really don't understand how to do business well. I've been in twice since they opened and the biscuits were different each time. Both versions were great and well priced, $1.50 for a biscuit the size of a saucer. The disappointing part is the the outrageous charge for butter and jam. Literally a teaspoon of each for $1.50! The baker also doesn't like to serve you how you want something. I asked for the biscuits to be split and toasted, and after describing exactly what I wanted twice, I received a box of biscuits that were split and super heated. So hot in fact that the entire box was soggy in the ten minute drive home. Between the ridulous prices and the staff, I would only go back for takeout biscuits.

Five stars for the ambience, service, and sent from heaven drop biscuits. I am so thankful for the tip off from a pier 77 hostess about this place. The biscuit game in Maine was already pretty solid with St Joe's but I have to say Biscuits and Co has stolen the show. Since early July we have been enjoying an occasional weekend biscuit breakfast here. From the egg sandwiches to the Pops cure (biscuits and sausage gravy) to the wild blueberry muffins, you really cannot go wrong. And I love love love the decor! So try to dine in if you can. Sunday had an extended brunch menu with salads, omelets, and French toast. Just a note - these are not pull apart southern biscuits, they are slightly sweet New England drop biscuits and that should help set your expectations properly.t

Big dense moist biscuits, stacked with really good ham, egg and farm fresh Pineland cheese. This equals a heavenly breakfast sandwich. I also had a super yummy ice coffee. Combined with friendly, quick service and plenty of comfy seating make this downtown Biddeford spot a winner. Next stop, trying their Sunday brunch!

I went to Biscuits & Co. in Biddeford this weekend to try and cure some of my southern food cravings. I figured, what's more southern than biscuits and gravy?. I was extremely disappointed. The biscuits tasted like they were crossed with whole wheat scones, and the gravy came out as if an over-eager chef cared more about the pizzazz and less about the tradition. Over all, it proved that you northerners can take something delicious in its simplicity and over engineer it, till it loses all of what made it a good dish to begin with. Aside from the biscuits the atmosphere was excellent that is the only reason I give them 2 stars.
