Warning: This review pertains only to their Drunken Noodles, which I regularly get for take-out. The servings are huge, they are full of basil and nice, fishy sauce, and they do not scrimp on the shrimp and scallops. It's really well-done and a great value for the money.

Great spot! Love those exotic orange crunchy French fries that were revealed to be carrots, and ofc the super hot "red powder." I recommend the everything, with a side of everything. Heat level 5, with extra red powder. Props to the waitress, seated us by the window at night and lamented the incredible view of pitch-black darkness. Starting off with a laugh is a nice balance to the red powder. I look forward to next time!

We were very pleased by the view, the food, and the attention to detail. The waitress explained that they make their own homemade ice cream on site, and we purchased extra purple sticky rice for the boys. From reading other reviews, it appears that they've had an issue with waitstaff, but we found ours attentive.

Only Thai in town . Used to be a bit spicier when I would order but today's meal was not so spicy. Beautiful view. Tasty curries. Great for groups.

We were on our way home from Acadia to Boston and didn't expect to find quick places to stop and eat on rt 1. But we found Thai! Was a great stop... Had massaman chicken and salmon prik pow. Mass. curry was very delicious (one of the best) and salmon was also tasty. Decor was basic but whatever, great views.

I have been eating at Seng Thai since it opened . The food has always been quite good and the portions were reasonable. However over the last three times I stopped there the portions have shrunk to the point where they are more like an overpriced appetizer. To add insult to injury they now charge extra for rice and they "neglect" to tell you till you get the bill. Their food is not exactly inexpensive and so the miniscule portion size does not make for a good value meal. Forget about trying to share with others as the portions are ridiculously small. Unfortunately it is no longer worth the money to eat there. Also the service is less than great with the waitress disappearing for long stretches in an nearly empty restaurant and water glasses sitting empty.

This is an amazingly wonderful find along a patch of desolate Route 1 on the way to Bar Harbor. The food deserves five stars. The table and chairs need to be replaced. The food is comparable to any fine Thai restaurant in a major city. This restaurant deserves to be a location to which people drive to. The prices are also very reasonable.

I was at the Comfort Inn next door for a week and I ate most of my meals at Seng Thai! My favorites were the papaya salad and the larb! SO GOOD! Chicken cashew nut was decent, but not the best I've had. Seng Thai is worth checking out if you're in Belfast or driving through belfast! Enjoy.

These folks just moved about 6 months ago from a cramped space on one side of Route 1 to a former seafood restaurant on the other side of Route 1, and now they have SPECTACULAR views of the bay. Every seat in the house has a view, and it goes great with the food. Their pad thai and curries are very good, and they taste as "authentic" as anything you would expect from a Thai restaurant in any larger city. They offer customized spiciness from 1-5 stars. This being Maine, a 3 is not very spicy at all. (Unless you're a 10th-generation Mainer, like my mother-in-law, from whom 1 star is quite spicy enough, thankyouverymuch.) We hadn't been in a few years, and we are quite glad that we went back, and will be back again.

My wife and I really wanted to like this place. The menu seemed traditional with offerings like yam pla muk, lard na and som tam. There was some confusion at the onset with where to seat us because of my 2 young kids. We were patient and took a newly created table toward the front of the restaurant away from the view of Penobscot Bay when there could have been ways to make us fit. Oh well- we're here for a taste of Thailand! But alas after being told by a waitress that she'd be back on two separate occasions, my toddlers were getting restless and thirsty as no water had been served to us for at least 15 minutes. It was surreal. While our thirsts weren't quenched we noticed a waitress and the hostess ask the kitchen for water for themselves on two occasions. Each time we hoped they were getting water for our parched kids but boy were we wrong! I lived in Thailand for 6 years and used to be in awe at the passive service at most restaurants. Seng Thai may be more traditional than I even thought. The word "seng" in Thai roughly translates to disappointed. We walked out and gave up hope. Maybe next time! Oceans edge at the comfort inn next door has great pizza, calamari and attentive service.

Amazingly, in a small town like Belfast we have three (!) Thai restaurants. In my opinion, Seng Thai is the best of them. We mostly get takeout, and the food is consistently good. We've probably tried most of the menu with nary a complaint. The owner is very nice and knows how to treat customers well.

This looks like just another scruffy little highway-side local restaurant with no pretentions, but don't miss this gem! It has some of the best Thai cooking to be found anyhere, helped by their use of fresh local ingredients. Try the fresh seaweed salad! Rgelaxed and friendly home-style service.

One of the best Thai resturaunts I've eaten at. Never would have thought this is what I would find. Try the softshelled crab dish. The sesame fish was very tasty. There were always tons of cars in the lot whenever we drove by.
