Price was right, service was ok. Food was somewhere in between. I had the baked mac and cheese, cold in the middle and a little soggy around the outside. It had potential, I'd consider trying it again if I'm back in the area.

Had a few drinks. Loved the atmosphere. We didn't have any food. Bathrooms were clean. Mens bathroom light didn't work and the service was a little slow. Will definitely go back for the full experience!

Love this place. Been going for years, this place is my second home. Great bartenders and servers. Food is great. Breakfast is amazing and worth getting up for. Highly recommend it.

Amazing food and great selection of draft beer. Good bartenders if you looking for a mixed drink. Wait staff is very friendly. Live music Friday nights.

The Reuben sandwich here is stellar! It was piled high with kraut and corned beef. Almost couldn't eat all of it, but I did because I was starving. The service was good even when they were super busy, AND they had kareoke!

The best Irish onion soup! A great place to join your friends for some drinks and a some traditional pub food. I went here several times and was satisfied every time. The food is hot a delicious! The service is also great! I would recommend this place to anyone in the 21+ age group after 9PM! Also a nice place to watch sports if you can snag a seat at the bar!

Like the other reviews, my wife and found the place homey and welcoming. The locals are friendly, the staff attentive. Good selection of beers on tap and the food is very good. I had the Brooklynn's Pastrami; ample portions of meat, topped w/ melted Swiss and a nice spicy brown mustard. My better half had the burger and liked it. We sampled the cashelmole (guac w/ Cashel Bleu Cheese), which comes with homemade pita chips. Great appetizer that goes well with just about any beer selection. This pub is a nice addition to Bath's dining establishments. Definitely recommended.

Great place with nice decor, a good beer selection, delicious pub food, and great service. Enjoyed my Ruben thoroughly.

Very cool place with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Good drinks, good pub fare, nice staff. I went twice in 3 days and would have gone back had my visit to Bath been longer.

Fun place, food fair, atmosphere great. Saturday live music with Chet paired surprisingly well with Final Four Basketball. Server Jennifer was a hoot; pulled up a chair and went over the menu with us. Food was just OK, but everything else made up for it. Will definitely go back.

My god what a great place! It feels so traditional and homey as an Irish Pub should be and never felt like a stranger. Servers all super friendly and patrons also. Didn't eat on this trip but the food looked excellent and heard a lot of local reviews in favor. Great assortment of draft beers which are super cold and something for everyone. Sports screen TV's and happy people make it my kind of place. Only bad thing is I heard the owner is a Jets fan - but I guess I can let that slide

Delicious! I ordered the Irish potato skins with a side of beef chili (gluten free!). My husband got the Ruben which he said was very good but not the best he's ever had. The nutty Irishman coffee was great! Interested decor. They have an Irish American sing along on Sundays!

Great potato skins - I'm a big fan haha! Karaoke night was kinda 'meh'. Probably won't go back for that even though I love me some karaoke. Food is great though!

Had the tayto skins and the pickle chips--both were delish. The mac & cheese with a banger was really good. Hot, cheesy with a crispy top. The bread pudding was fab..ONLY downside was the super annoying mid 50ish woman who was seated at the bar, telling everybody how she wasnt in college anymore but then acting like a drunken college girl. Food and service were both great.

Reuben was so good and and so was the guacamole dip! Macaroni was alright but not necessarily the best ever. Bread pudding was a little dry. Service was friendly. Prices pretty decent. One man band was good. We went around 7 pm. Looked like a cool spot to hang out and have some beers, too.

Awesome food, decent service. I was worried when I first sat down but it was so worth it.

I am a frequent Midcoast Maine visitor and have been to Byrnes several times. Service is always friendly and strong, the food is decent, and drinks are plentiful and delivered quickly. A friend and I walked in last night around 10:30p, aka closing time on a Sunday night in Maine, and the bartender graciously stayed open to grant us a couple of pints of Guinness. I know what it feels like to want to leave at closing time after working a full shift and appreciated the friendly banter and good pour. My only Byrnes critique: in the past I've noticed a lot of Notre Dame kitsch on the walls. If the owner is an alum, that's understandable. If not, how about supporting New England's only real top level college football team, the very Irish rooted Boston College Eagles?

Byrnes is a really nice addition to Bath. Finally, a place to get a beer and converse with friends, without feeling like you need a shower afterward. It's clean, pleasant, with friendly and efficient service. No drug deals taking place in the restrooms, which is a big plus! The menu is great, with wonderful sandwiches and even one or two vegetarian selections. Insanely crowded on St. Patrick's day, but the rest of the time it's easy to get a comfy seat and relax.

Great atmosphere, fun live music on the weekends, and great food. The daily specials are wonderful, the standard menu has lots of inexpensive delicious food, and the staff is friendly. I visit every time I am in Bath!
