The worst french fries in the world! Really! We've been to a lot of other countries! Caught the bartender drinking.. which wasn't a huge deal for us except we couldn't get her attention to order food or more drinks. Atmosphere was fun. Would go back.

I had a Sunfish Beer and Blueberry Beer in Bar Harbor and went to this brewery the same night pumped about the awesome beers I had tasted there. I order a 10 beer flight and everyone one of the beers was flat and the flavors were nothing like the beers we had in Bar Harbor. You are supposed to go to a brewery to taste their very best and they just dropped the ball big time. I told the waiter and he said the lines may just be flat but it didn't sound hopeful that anything would change in the near future and I still paid $11 for the flight. It was a Monday and I was told that beers are better on the weekends?? Huh? I also had a stout on the flight that was replaced with a raspberry beer without any explanation. How about leave it empty and offer me a 6oz beer of my choosing or something for not having their on beer on tap....at the brewery. Half of the people were not happy with their food either and one of my friends was food sick there within the past month. This place seems to deliver a good product to other bars in other towns but can keep up with quality at their own home town place. I've had my last Sea Dog beer. Atlantic Brewery here I come.

We were traveling through and asked our hotel front desk for a recommendation. She suggested this place as it was already 9pm and many other places stop seating at 8. Apparently Sea Dog is a chain but we didn't find that out until later. For a couple of tourists, it looked the part and there was lobster on the menu. We started with fried buffalo chicken macaroni (portion was small and it wasn't very "buffalo-y"), and the fried shrimp appetizer. There were plenty of shrimp and it was very fresh/tasty. I had the lobster bisque, and it was quite delicious. My partner had the lobster roll (pricey at $18 market value) but he said it was money well spent. We each had a beer from their local selection and we were pleased. They even let you sample the beer before committing. Our waitress was very friendly and patient. We were seated indoors overlooking the water (our choice). And overall we had a pleasant experience.

Take out was below average on both quantity of food for price and the fact someone thought a moldy piece of celery leaf somehow was a nice accent. Yuck. Fries were not bad. Love the Owls Head lite beer...pass on the rest.

Salads sound good but do not come as advertised---they substitute cheaper ingredients.

I give this place a four solely based on their food. Calamari was fresh and hand battered. Delicious! Chicken Alfredo and mussels diavolo were also very very good. I give all their beer a "meh" rating except for the vanilla porter. It was the only one out of my ten spot sampler that had any remarkable flavor. The rest were bland and I've tasted better. The area is a bit sketchy after dark too, and I wouldn't walk to my car alone there. If I was the owner, I'd offer to have a doorman walk people out especially ladies.

While visiting in Bangor I was in search for a place that had a early televised baseball game that was being shown on a specific channel. While searching around Yelp I came across Sea Dog Brewing. They claimed to have the most TV's and a wide selection of sports, so I played my hand and got lucky with them carrying the MLB network. And while I was there, I figured... why not try their sampler flight of beers that they say are pretty tasty. Now, I'm relatively a darker beer person, but when I go to a new brewery, I try to give a chance to anything that is recommended to me. Luckily the waitress was pretty willing and understanding that well... simply the 6 beers that I tasted... all tasted like crap. Call me picky, but however you can screw up a porter is beyond me. I had explained to her that I wasn't all too impressed with the selections that were made, and then she poured me 2 new samples. I asked... "What might these be?" She said, "Items that are not on the menu". I sipped one... and I had finally found something that tasted good. While doing some more investigation I had found out it was an imperial stout. With a nice 12% APV... it definitely had a kick to it. The other one was their seasonal Octoberfest beer... which did have a good taste... and I could see myself enjoying a few of those... however the Imperial Stout had my taste buds wanting more. She poured me a glass, and I also ordered up some food. Some New England Clam Chowdaaahhhh. (seriously...wtf?) and some coconut shrimp. The Chowder was decent. Good flavor, however the clams were a little overcooked and beyond rubbery, but the coconut shrimp saved the day. They were as tasty as imagined... especially with the dipping sauce they came with. At the end, my Tigers had just lost the baseball game... I had sampled 8 beers of which 2 I would ever suggest someone else trying... and the food equalized itself out. I will however give props to the waitress for being extra chatty and talking to me about being from Michigan and how things are a little different from life in Maine. So overall? Just as it says....A-Ok...

I'm not sure this place even deserves one star. My boyfriend and I were literally too scared to eat the chicken on his salad; the chicken looked like they boiled it a week ago and had been letting it sit under a warming lamp until someone ordered it. It was an odd gray color. The pickle chips were flaccid and definitely not fried like you would expect fried pickles to be. My Greek Calamari salad was edible but definitely not something you would call "good" or even "not bad." The waitress was not very friendly or attentive...until she brought out the bill and it was tipping time. Lucky for her my bf is an angel and always tips 15%.

The Sea Dog is a great place to go grab a few beers with the guys or sit down and enjoy some bar food (again with a few beers). The decor & ambiance are great. I prefer to sit at the bar. The Blueberry Ale on tap is my favorite beer ever. Depending on when you go it can be quite loud. What else would you expect from a bar though? Can't go wrong at the Sea Dog...

I don't know why I keep coming here? I get take-out here occasionally and they mess up the order every time. They literally leave out parts of the food as advertised. The whole experience is meh. The food looks like it is prepared by an experienced crystal meth user.

Beer great. Food average. My baked stuffed Haddock tasted like it was cooked earlier and then sat in warmer. Staff super friendly

Very unhappy with every aspect of Sea Dog. The beer was bad at best and the food was cold when we received it. I expected more!

Met a friend for dinner, my first two beer choices were unavailable so I settled on my third choice. Friendly and attentive service with a smile. We split two appetizers: fried pickles and the hummus plate. Both were fine. For dessert I got the cheesecake(I've had it before and LOVED the blueberry compote) this time it was just 6 blueberries. Not my best experience at seadog but I'll still go back because I've had better experiences in the past.

The service at this location is to be desired. The food is hit or miss. I used to really like it but as they alter the menu, I can live without it. I don't go as much anymore.

Good view of the river. Alright food. Service is what made me really dislike this place. I had a $29.12 bill, the waitress rounded up on the bill to $30. Paid with a $100 and gives me $70 in tens back. Most professional waitresses would have atleast broke up the change into some $5's and $1's for a tip.

Wow. I don't even know what to say about the pretty awful time my family and I had here tonight. Especially since in the past we've had much better experiences but tonight was pretty awful. 1. Server took our app and drink orders. By the time he came to take our main orders AND bring plates for our apps, we were already finished with our apps and ready for our next round of drinks. We should have ordered about 15 minutes prior. 2. My salad that was a steak and artichoke Mediterranean salad was not the same as it was the last time I ordered a month ago and the steak was freezing cold when it came out. Upon telling the server and him taking it back right away, it came back warmer but was definitely microwaved and the meat was well done (I ordered medium) and very chewy. 3. My family's other items were also cold - how long was our food sitting out before it was brought out? There weren't that many tables filled for the food to take that long. 4. Drinks were fine but we weren't offered any water on arrival. 5. More than one of us is now complaining of stomach issues post dinner, something that has never happened before eating there. I'm well aware that the weather might have made a significant difference tonight but this was just ridiculous. I've had meals here plenty of times and this was just bad. Totally out of character for a place that my family frequents on a regular basis. Quite disappointed.

I see this place has a very mixed bag of reviews. My wife and I had dinner there on a Sunday night and enjoyed ourselves very much. It started out with my wife realizing she had left her phone in the cab we had taken there, but the staff helped us out immensely, phone recovered. The local beers on tap are great, the blueberry was my fave. The food is good not great and the prices fair. I had a crabmeat and havarti sandwich and my wife had the spinach, goat cheese and strawberry salad. We both liked are food, portions aren't huge but not small either. We sat outside on the deck over looking the river, which we both enjoy. Overall we had a good time and would go back.

Late review but better late than never! My first experience here was around St Patrick's Day. I was accompanied by a coworker of mine. Sea Dog was recommended by a lot of the locals there, decided to give this place a world. I ordered the pan blackened chicken wrap with a quinoa salad on the side. I loved the wrap-absolutely delicious! The quinoa salad was good but not something I would order again. Of course, I had to try some of their brews...I had the sea dog pale ale with was good, apricot ale (tasted like liquid candy, I can drink that all day), and the raspberry ale. All beers were pretty good. Bartenders and staff were very hospitable and I know me and my coworker will return next time we're in town.

Shady looking place in a dark location at night. However, the vibe inside is friendly, nothing special. Service was fantastic and food was recommendable.

Had a entree salad which while tasty was very, very small. On a small square plate mostly rice noodles (Asian inspired) and almost no protein-a tablespoon of peanuts?. Yeah for $9 I expected something to eat. I left hungry. I do want to add what I had was good and the dressing very good... just too little for the price. I mean napa cabbage and peanuts don't cost much.

The deck over looking the river is great in summer. The beer is alright. The food is good but nothing special when it comes to bar food. Never had a bad meal but never had anything phenomenal.

The atmosphere here is really great. Love the bar and the moose head on the wall. Great view of the river. But. Most of the beer is disappointing. I ordered a sampler and all but one were flat not including the stout. The flavors were harsh and had a bad finish. Very disappointing for a brew pub. The chili was cold. When I sent it back it was returned in about a minute. Same bowl just microwaved. Seems like it might have been good when it was originally made. Too bad.

Not what I wanted and not that good. I was sent here by a friend for a Maine Lobster. I am not from the area and was told that I needed to have lobster in maine becuase it was simply more fresh and would taste great. When I arrived the restourant had decided that they were going to run a 'concert menu' because there was a concert next them that night and people wanted something they could get quick. "So go to McDonalds", I thought, but did not say. The waitress pointed me to something called a lobster roll and said it was good. So I ordered it. Not good. I understand that my opinion might be biased because I had my taste buds ready for something else, but this was odd. It had a cruch in places like it was connective tissue. Not what I had in mind. I would frankly rather had a Subway Seafood Salad sandwich. So, if that tells you I don't know my lobster roll then so be it. The fries were good. The staff was unattentive and all seemed to be into something else that night. Not the clients. Read my other reviews and you will see I am usually an easy 3 or 4. For place with other good reviews I was suprised. On the bright side... I walked down the river and saw Sting for free. Not a total loss.

Large space with lots of seating and room for groups Nice view of the river Comfy, laid back vibe Decent food (stick to the bar food- don't come to breweries expecting gourmet!) Prices in line with the food quality and portions Clean bar and bathrooms Friendly staff Good beer selection, but home brews are just ok Considering the options in Bangor, this is probably one of the better places to go to, especially if you are under 40!

The food was pretty blah -- low-quality ingredients and overcooked fish. The beer that they had was excellent, but they were out of two of their own varieties that we tried to order (including the monthly special).

I have gone back to this restaurant many times trying to experience what friends tell me again and again. So, this is the review I will give to tell you my overall opinion on this establishment: 1- Service is horrible here. It is in two places. The servers have bigger and better things on their mind then attending to and serving the customers at hand. The very last experience last Thursday was a server who forgot three of the different dietary restrictions that my wife had and then when asked, the server looked at me like he was appalled that I questioned him on salt content. I am usually a very patient patron for the most part and totally understand that sometimes servers/bartenders have a bad day mostly because I have spent a long time in the restaurant business. But, this is a consistent theme at SeaDog. Poor and inattentive service. 2- If the place is packed with the evening crowd and you are looking to get something as simple as a beer (which I rate as very good here) if you are not a hot blonde with skimpy clothes .. the male bartenders will not serve you and if you are not the bartenders friends then they have even looked right past me and behind me when trying to order a drink. It is pretty rough. 3- The food is very good here which I find is part of what keeps them in business. Last trip my wife had a vegetable platter with a portobello mushroom sandwich that she thought was great. I had the pastrami sandwich with fries and it also was very moist and delicious. I had a brown ale that was both cold and refreshing. 4- They have a very large variety for the menu from anything from piping hot lasagna to fried calamari to steamed mussels all the way to a hummus sandwich. If you are looking for variety, then I say go to the SeaDog but go during the day for lunch .. you are more apt to get served better and more efficiently then the lethargic and inattentive evening crew. So, not a one star here because of the food and the beer but the service is a very important piece of return customers but since it plays in small town Bangor, ME .. it limits some of your selections.

I'm just going to give an easy read version of the visit. You can decide for yourself whether these things matter. BTW - this was an off season visit (February) Easy parking & easy to find Entry way had a borderline gymnasium smell Inside things are cheery and open concept Bar looked nice Good view of the river in back TV's are everywhere. Hope you like commercials while you eat Waitress was a Maine-ah. Not a barrel of laughs, but did her job well The food was by all accounts AVERAGE or just OK Draft beer was fresh tasting The prices seemed much higher than the overall quality of the food served PROS: easy access good parking regular guy/girl menu easy for a group CONS: underwhelming food (even for regular Joe menu) price to quality ratio is low My rating would be a 6 out of 10

So we stopped here looking for a good place to eat some bar food on our way up north. The place was packed with people who were going to a concert and it was near impossible to find a seat. First of all, I will give the staff credit.. they were very helpful getting our 7 person party a seat out on the deck. We ordered some nachos to start. They tasted pretty bland and I had one bite and then stayed away. Reminded me of something I could make at home with a bag of tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and a microwave. I ordered a BBQ Burger which the waiter said was the most popular. When the food came I was definitely ready to eat. It probably took a solid hour for our food to come to the table. I was hoping that the quality of the burger would make up for its tardiness. It didn't... The burger was pretty dry and while it did have BBQ sauce on it, that was about all that I could taste in it. I was pretty bummed. As I looked around the table I could see that most of the people at my table were not enjoying their meals either. Overall: Atmosphere - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Food - 2/5 Taste - 1/5 Price - 2/5 Bottom line: Go here for drinks with friends for a lively young atmosphere. Avoid the food

Most of the time I have had good food, and the beer is excellent. Today I had the french onion soup and the Cesar salad with grilled chicken and would NOT recommend. The soup was alright but was overly sweet. The salad was awful, wayyyy too overdressed.. swimming in dressing that tastes like mayo with horseradish in it. Does not taste like Cesar. The croutons were boxed and bland. The chicken was gray, old and tasted like it was boiled. Would not order again. :( Too bad as I was hoping for better.

We stayed in Bangor for 1 night on a recent vacay to the East Coast. It was my mother's birthday. We ate a salmon dish, a blackened chicken wrap, the broiled haddock, and a baked apple. "Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt." It was all delicious. Muchas gracias to our hotel for the reservation. Only spot of bother, a bit hard to find on a rainy night, with the construction cluster going on.

This is as good as it gets in Bangor. I don't know why the ratings are lower than other sub par restaurants in the area... Probably because some people in Maine (most people) aren't used to "good food." The Sea Dog is known for its brew... and they have a great selection of beer! You can also try a sampler tray of seasonal beers, it's very good! Now, to the FOOD: I loved the Cheese Plate. An assortment of cheese, dried fruits, nuts, and BREAD! Good stuff :) I have mentioned before that I have an awkward obsession with Thanksgiving food. Hence... I got the open-face turkey sandwich. A whole Thanksgiving meal in a sandwich: YES, please! Great place! It is refined, with lots of American AND European flavors. A real gem of the Bangor area.

Prices are too high for the area, but you pay for the deck/river view. Their beer is okay, their food hit and miss.

Was stranded in Bangor for a day when my plane had to go down, thought I try some of the local and famous Maine lobster for lunch. I had an amazing steamed lobster with some of the restaurant's own beer, and all for an affordable 25 USD. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Also, read on wikipedia that Bangor is the birth place of the brownie, so I had to try it at Sea Dog. Unfortunately this wasn't the best and I encourage them to improve this given the history of the town!

Stopped in on the drive up to go white water rafting was pretty damn happy to be out of the car and dying for some food. Someone found Sea Dogs on their phone and off we went. The restaurant is pretty large and has a nice bar area, indoor dining area and outdoor deck dining area. We waited a bit in the bar but the bartender was nice and my brothers were playing pool so everyone was happy. A short fifteen minute wait later it was dinner time. We sat inside and they had a guitarist playing which saw nice and it was the perfect level of not too loud where you cant hear yourself think but loud enough to hear and sing along. We started with buffalo wings and fried pickles and both were yummie. I had the garlic burger for dinner and it was a little blander than I though it would be but a decent burger anyways. Everyone enjoyed their food and brews and we headed out back on the road.

Ah America, I love you. Sea Dog represents everything great with America. Great food, amazing sea food, friendly people and good, unique beer. It's pretty amazing that I woke up in Kyrgyzstan and ended up having dinner in Bangor, Maine. But I couldn't have picked a better place for me and my crew. We all ordered the Lobster Platter. We started with the first course, the Clam Chowder. It wasn't bad, filled with plenty of seafood but it was a little watery. I wasn't yet impressed. Then we got to the plate of mussels. A whole giant plate to myself, they were perfect...getting warmer. Next, arrived a whole 3LB lobster that looked like it arrived fresh out of a Red Lobster commercial. Only this one was real, not rubbery...whole and alive just a few minutes prior. It was incredibly tasty and fresh. Finally, they topped off the dinner with fries and a coleslaw along with a beer of our choice from their vast selection. When I got the bill, I expected at least $50-$60. Nope! $35.99!!! Are you kidding me? Enough food to feed a village and a beer and it was less than $40? Yep! Service was friendly and I could see Sea Dog being a lot more popular place on a weekend night. I'll definitely be back.

The food is really good, and so is the beer. I love the atmopshere, but the service could be better! Service is a little slow at times, but they do seem to get very busy. Love going with my friends to catch up and have a beer.

The beer was awful. Luckily, I only had a taste of the pumpkin ale. That tasted like urinal cake. The porter was gross. An hour after drinking it, I still had a bad aftertaste in my mouth. The IPA was passable, but it had no hoppiness or flavor. The stout was actually pretty good. The food was slightly better than the beer. Began with mussels, which were small but briny and well cooked. The aioli squeezed all over them was a bit weird, as were the shaved, deep fried "french fries". One salad was with bland chicken, grapefruit, peas and hard boiled egg over greens; that was kind of odd. The other salad was heavily floured, bland, bland, bland, floury, "calamari" with hard boiled egg, pepperocinis, and olives over some greens. Pass on this one.

The sweet potatoes fries were delicious, but my sandwich was a bit greasy and kept falling apart. Excellent service. The price was a little higher than I expected for its quality, but I'll be coming back for the fries!

the location is great, the name is great, I hear the beer choices are great, but the food is HORRIBLE! I do not like the food at all - everytime I go (probably about 3 or 4 times) the food has been horrible at night time on the weekend it gets really trashy with DJ's - trashy dancing on the random area made into a dance floor the bathroom had HUGE cobwebs that were easily visible and there's really no excuse for a restaurant to have that going on if it is remotely clean

I go there for the bar scene and figured if get some onion rings and lobster Rangoon. The O-rings were room temp and the Rangoon was as if a 12 year made them thinking they were a masterpiece. They were horrible. The sauce was plain and useless. I'm sure certain dishes are good there but it was a big swing and a miss on these two. Bars nice though.

I dont mind this place for a quick meal and some seasonal beer. Being from Bangor this is the go to place for a chill night to meet up with every single person you went to high school with- wheather you like it or not. That is the biggest con- Everyone goes here and you are always bound to run into people that you know. The Pros: Food- not too too bad. Beer- has some good ones. The greek salad with calamari is really good chowder- eh, I have had way better burgers- hit or miss, i think it depends on what you get on it and how generous the cooks in the kitchen are feeling with bacon, etc... alfredo- not the cheesy goodness that I had hopped for but passable. Blueberry beer- I acually like this one Raspberry beer- awesome! They have some great waitstaff I do have to say, and the bartenders are friendly and really do pay attention to who was at the bar first for the most part when serving. Great view and nice outdoor seating in the summer time, the decor inside is pretty cool- old pics of bangor, local sports memoribilia, etc. They usually have a band or DJ on weekends so there is some dancing and hanging around. Great place for groups of friends, but save the first dates for some place else.

I would give zero stars if possible. The food is overpriced and mediocre. You will see your server exactly three times. To take your order, bring your food, and bring the check. I have given this place a couple of tries and both times I was disappointed. Both visits we had excessive waits for our food (30 mins +) and the server was nowhere to be found. Our drinks were never refilled and by the time the food did arrive, it wasn't that great. The prices are ridiculous as well. Go somewhere else and save your time and money.

Sorry guys. I guess I had a bad night here. It was busier than the first visit. I ordered the quesadilla special, chicken and gouda. It took a bit longer than reasonable and when it arrived I popped one bit of chicken in my mouth, and then had to spit it out. Not fully cooked. After that I was turned off and got to inspecting it. Little perfect cubes of pink chicken with seemingly no grill marks. How did they "cook" it exactly? Boiling? Grills are the way to go guys. Blacken that thing up, it adds flavor and authenticity. I was apologetic and told them I NEVER send food back. But, I had to. I didn't eat anything else. The barman told me it would not be on the check. Young, beefy, black hair, goatee, he is there a lot, seems to be a manager of sorts. He is good, but he was not at the bar when I asked for the check and the girl who was, very sweet, but took a solid 5 minutes grappling with the computer to finally present me with a check that did have the quesadilla on it. I complained and she removed it without an issue. Just bad communication. But, not a good night. sorry guys.

While waiting to pick up friends at the airport we stopped in here for a pint & grub. The bartender chris was witty and friendly, the food was fresh but average tasting. I had the fried haddock sammich and my partner in crime had the caesar salad and said it was good but nothing fancy. The sweet potato fries were good. The setting was really cool with a deck overlooking the river & bridge which we walked around after we ate. Friendly staff & laid back atmosphere. I'd go there again just because of the blueberry beer, great setting and friendly staff. I'd try something else to munch on next time though.

You know, I think it all comes down to what you're looking for. This place has a nice bar and the deck sitting/eating/drinking experience in the warm months is definitely a draw. On the downside, the food has been lackluster (at best) since the place reopened back in 2004 (?), something like that anyway. The prices are a little high for the quality of the food and the beer isn't very good. The darker the beer, the better here. The IPA has no hop profile whatsoever. The porter is pretty good, though. The fruit beers are very fruity. Not my thing but if you like really fruity beers, you might appreciate it. Over all, I dig this place once in a while but I always go with low expectations. Best time to go? Summer, on the deck, with copious libations. Highlight is the staff. They have some wonderful servers here; unfortunately good service alone isn't a reason to frequent a restaurant.

Being from Bangor but living in Boston I totally understand how challenging it is to get a good meal out here. Sea Dog is one of the non-chains that has stuck around. The best advice for diners is to order the cheap stuff and keep your expectations low otherwise you will feel pretty disappointed. If not for the beer they'd be out of business. I went with my family today and ordered the balckened haddock sandwich. When it came people literally burst out laughing. The bun was was about 4 inches across and atop it was a piece of haddock the size of a small goldfish. Aside from that on the plate was....nothing. Seriouy for $10 just 2 hours away at Dry Dock the same thing nets you a piece of fish as big as your face. When the waitress asked if I wanted desert I quipped that I was full from the giant haddock sandwich. She admitted that she sent the first one back because it was even smaller. My mom and wife had salads which were good but tiny. They got nachos for an app an they were fine. I ha crab cakes, dry, dry crab cakes. Last time I cam home I got the tuna and had forgotten I don't like their tuna. If you eat tuna steaks often you probably know that fresh and frozen taste much different and the texture of tuna prepared rare from frozen tuna is more like beef than fish. Their tuna is frozen and pretty much a waste of time. As long as Bangor remains a culinary wasteland Sea Dog is just OK but anybody can get good beer to serve, eventually they'll just be another cheesy bar that falls out of favor and closes down unless they take themselves seriously and try to serve good food instead of good enough for Bangor food. Sorry guys, I'd rather cook at home.

The beer is awesome (their 'mug club' is totally worth the price of admission). The food is typically good, but can be inconsistent, particularly the seafood. Great chili and burgers, and they make a mean Reuben.

Nice, large, brewery sports bar. Good staff. Great home brews and icy cold. Ate there twice and food was OK but nothing remarkable. It's a good place to go with a group as they can accommodate and service properly and you can catch your favorite games on the TV's or shoot some pool.

It's difficult to figure what to say about Sea Dog. Overall, I'm really not a fan of this place, but if you're in Bangor, it's hard to avoid. The menu is spastic and overpriced. There are a few standouts: the calamari salad is an especial favorite of mine. But mostly you're going to get poorly prepared, bland, generic food that costs a fortune for what it is. If you must eat here, stick to the simplest options: if you go for something daring, you're going to find out that they can't deliver. Service, on the other hand, is terrific. The servers are professional and do a great job. The bar is my second big gripe. The beer is outstanding and brewed in state. They can make any mixed drinks you want. But the scene here is crazy. The place gets packed to the rafters and it's everything from drunk college kids to drunk retirees. It's loud, it's noisy, and the restaurant is so massive that there's nothing fun or intimate about it to save the day. Eventually fighting your way to the bar just feels like work. I will say that when the porch opens in the summer, this place jumps WAY up in my estimation. Much better out there. This place is so close to being better. Cut the size of the menu by two thirds and focus on what you can handle. Renovate the space to keep it from feeling like a warehouse with a bar in the center. So no, Sea Dog - thanks but no thanks. Unfortunately, options in Bangor are so limited that, as I said, you're almost bound to end up here at some point. An unavoidable shame.

Nice brew house on the river with some really good tasty beer. I sampled 3 brews and my favorite was the summer brew with a hint of citrus. The blackened Haddock was great that came with a kick which was a nice surprise as well as the portion. Nice local laid back vibe with a friendly staff, I will be back on my next trip to Bangor.

We go to the Sea Dog maybe every two weeks.... i used to love this place, and a while ago I did write a good review... I am now about to change my opinion... As the weeks and months go by, the Sea Dog's food seems to go free falling in a downward spiral... What used to be excellent is now ok, and what used to be ok is now downright outragious... We used to order a Pesto Chicken dish and share it with my husband... It was $13.99. In a matter of months, it's not as good anymore as it used to be, and it is now jumped to $19.99. It seems that the prices keep going up and the quality of food keeps going down, and they put less and less on your plate... If you want a place to hang out and drink, it's ok, but I wouldn't recommend you going there to eat... It's turning out to be a culinary trash bin.....

Ate dinner here for work meetings. Large place on the river - very nice outdoor seating. The seafood menu is good, not great, with a decent bar/beer selection. Their own brews are okay to good though, I've not tried them all. Not being an ale fan, I'm not the best reviewer for the beers. The menu was reasonable with a good selection. Food was fairly typical for this type of large, themed brew house restaurant. Table and bar service was attentive. I'll come here again but, not as a first choice.

the beer was really good -- i had the hazlenut porter. but the pallella made my stomach so sore. Service was horrible but only because this place is so popular and busy. Liked the band, too. My husband eats here all the time and really likes it.

A local friend brought me (an out-of-towner) here recently for lunch. It was after a day of hiking in the snow so to be honest I would have enjoyed most anything. But overall: this place had a nice atmosphere, open, airy, nautical-esque but not overdoing it. The black bean soup in a bread bowl was very very tasty. And of course the brew was flavorful and fresh. I doubt Bangor is known for it's cuisine but this is a solid choice for a casual lunch, meet up with friends or family, etc.

I have been here twice since my stay in Bangor. I had the lunch size haddock the first time. Second I had a fish taco and a flight of their many craft beers. The atmosphere on the inside is a lot of wood structuring which is homey and welcoming. I was greeted by many people in the staff and everyone seemed to have a general up beat personality about themselves . The balcony has a great view of the river. They play live music every now and then which makes for a great youthful crowd on the weekends. I recommend this place for anyone that ever has a chance to stop by Bangor for a hour.

We ate here on a Tuesday night as we were traveling for business. We stooped in the brewery around 3 in the afternoon and were there til about 8pm. They have a great selection of microbrews that all were pretty good. My favorite hands down was the Blueberry Wheat Ale, it was definitely the best fruity beer I have ever had! We ordered the lobster for dinner along with the lobster mac and cheese and it was both great! The lobster mac and cheese had a really good flavor, only wish it was a little saucier. The lobster meal was excellent as well. There was plenty of entertainment at the bar as they have trivia on the TV's and also pool tables. Overall a great time!

In a town where the choice of good food can be a mysterious and damning undertaking, here comes Sea Dog. A craft brewery/eatery on the picturesque Bangor waterfront. I have lived all over the country, and have experienced some of the best food and drink at this style restaurant. It's a pretty solid combination and I felt like I knew what to expect. I noticed right away that the prices seemed quite high, especially considering the deep-fried frozen choices. I wrote this off, and figured it was due to "vacationland" prices. I ordered a chicken pasta dish, my wife and her friend a chicken wrap, (with fries on one and a salad for the other) The 4th member of our party went with a simple burger and fries. The time it took to get our food was extremely out of line for what we ordered. The patio was busy, but inside was empty. The servers were very hurried looking and getting drinks/refills in between ordering and receiving our food was hard. My pasta dish had rubbery, flavorless chicken, drowned in a very bad attempt at alfredo sauce (soupy with way too much garlic). The chicken in the wraps was much better, but for all of the chicken and filling, the wraps were very bland tasting, and the wrap itself to the point of stale. The burger was the standout, but with such dismal quality to compare it to, it's no wonder. The fries were nothing short of excellent. I personally will never be going back to Sea Dog for the food. My wife enjoyed their beer. (I am not a beer drinker), so we may be back there again for that, as it seems like a nice place to meet. I couldn't recommend this to anyone.

The beer is the real star. I tend to favor the darker beers, and the porter and the stout definitely filled the bill here. The stout is rich and malty, with a bitter, hoppy kick -- much better than Guinness any day. The porter is complex, well balanced, and delicious, with a malt-forward character that lets you know you're alive. It's probably my favorite. I like the growler program they have. Here's how it works: pay a nominal deposit, get a 1/2 gallon glass jug. Every time you come, bring it in and they'll fill it up with whatever you want. Take it home, put it in the fridge, enjoy beer during the week. When you run out, wash, rinse, repeat. If you ever get sick of it, return the jug and you get your deposit back. 1/2 gallons = 4 pints, so it's pretty reasonable. I think it was about $15 to fill it with stout. The food is kinda hit or miss. I love the fried clams -- whole softbelly clams, not just clam strips. The portions were large, and the clams were fat and sassy, served hot over a bed of french fries. The paella is also good. Nachos were piled high with toppings, but it seemed to be more about quantity than quality (not that there's anything necessarily wrong with that). They call their pizza "grilled pizza" which I don't really understand cause it didn't seem to different from regular pizza. It was perfectly serviceable and reasonably priced, but nothing to write home about. The outdoor seating deck provides awesome views of the mighty Penobscot River as it winds through town. Lots of fun on a beautiful evening to sit, drink beer, and watch the water go by. Service is friendly, but if you're used to the speedy service in Washington or New York restaurants, you'll think it's slow. It's not slow, it's just Maine. The servers are being friendly and chatting with the guests. Be patient, learn to slow down and relax. This is what Maine is like. Summary: this restaurant is on the list of places I bring visitors when they come to Bangor, but I tell them up front that this place is about the beer. There are better places for food.

I was on a gig in Bangor and we came to Sea Dog 3 times in 2 days. We were there for lunch on a Thursday. The lobster roll was pretty good. Sweet potato fries were great. Later that night I had the lobster bisque, quite good. Food in general was very good. Bacon wrapped scallops were fantastic! Yum! We came back that night for a late snack and there was karaoke which was fun. The next night after our show we came as a group of 8 and while Sea Dog was full of people, it was a Friday nite, it didn't feel overcrowded and we got a booth. Several of us had the 5 or 10 beer sampler. Each sample is 4oz. Perfect size for tasting. Apricot and raspberry were quite good. Then there was a band playing and we were in their direct line so it got too loud for us and we left. They also have a back outdoor seating area right on the water which was lovely. It was a little cold and windy so we couldn't sit out there but when it's a little warmer I bet it's wonderful. We all enjoyed it and I recommend!

In Bangor for two days from New York, and we were pointed to the Sea Dog by a local who said it was a good place for local flavor. This place is terrible. The staff is rude. The food is bland and overpriced. And I have to imagine that the positive reviews here are by locals who have few other choices in Bangor to chose from. We waited well over an hour for our table, and it was only after we reminded the hostess that we were waiting did she sit us. This was well after the dinner rush was over and there were plenty of tables available. Then, when my order was completely wrong after waiting close to half an hour for it, the waitress's response to me telling her she's brought me the wrong food was, "OK." Not, "I'm sorry," or "let me correct that," just "OK." This was after we'd already spent an hour at the bar waiting for our table and dealt with the incredibly rude bartenders. If you're visiting Bangor, give this place a pass.

Good beers from their own micro brewery. Usually busy around happy hour. Large, open floor plan with high ceilings and slight maritime feel. Outdoor deck is nice and has views of the river. Food is average, definitely edible, but not Gormet by any means. Very casual and relaxed, but can get noisy.

This place cracks me up. First off, it just feels dingy in here. Second, it's a family restaurant during the day, and an attempt at a bar scene at night. My parents like to go here for dinner, and then 3 hours later I'm screaming drunk in there, funny. Anyway, the food's nothing to get excited about. It's good, but it isn't grand. It's just standard American fare/bar fare. Nothing at all wrong with it, but don't come here for the food. Now what I love is the beer. They have about 12 of their own microbrews on tap. Now that's hard to argue with. I got the 12 beer 'sampler' which has a small glass of each. I love places that do samplers. What better way to get me hooked? The samplers are larger than most restaurants (like Yardhouse.) So you can actually get pretty toasty from it, I even had to have my girlfriend help me with it. The night-scene is hilarious here. This place was packed until last call with beer swilling hormones. When I was visiting on my vacation, I went every night for the entertainment factor alone. But they serve lots of good cold beer in a fun atmosphere with plenty of antics to watch. Be warned: last call in Maine is horribly early, like 2am or something pitiful like that. Fun place, worth a few laughs.

For the longest time, I always avoided Bangor for dining out but a suggestion from a friend put me there awhile back. Since then, I think I've visited at least once while driving through, or camping nearby. I love the beer at Sea Dog, especially their cask conditioned ales. Most often, their IPA is the cask selection, so pretty much drink that while I'm there. I have tried all their beers at one point or another though. Their light beer is a standout for those who have to drive or do not want to get tipsy. At just over 3%, it's a very light beer that has more flavour than a typical macro light beer. Their dark beers, porter and stout, are also standout favourites. Wine and cocktails are also available, but why bother? Fresh beer! Sea Dog has also recently started doing growlers. Inquire within, as I don't know the details. Draught beer is around $4, give or take for what seems to be a 16 or 18 oz pour. Don't hold me to that though! Now that I have the beer out of the way, let's move onto the restaurant. It's huge! One of the biggest places I've been to. The bar itself can hold a couple dozen patrons, at least. Around the bar are high tables that hold even more. Then, the main dining area also has many tables. On top of that, during the summer months the large patio is open. Finally, the place has conference rooms, a ground floor patio, and maybe even other areas open for special events. Staff are plentiful, and very friendly. I typically sit at the bar to watch sports, get good service, and also where the action is. Typically I go during the low afternoon hours but there are always people coming and going. There seems to be a big mix between locals, and out of towners (like myself). I've also noticed that their TVs are in full HD, not stretched SD. This is important for me, but maybe not for everyone. Patrons can also play online trivia. Now, the most important part, the food. I always order a shrimp appetizer. It isn't on the new menu, but a couple other dishes on the menu feature the same shrimp so we can always still get it. I think we normally pay $8.95 or $9.95 for a big bowl of fresh as can be, delicious little Maine Bay shrimp with a light flakey batter. A small bowl of spicy tomato/horseradish cocktail sauce comes with. On my last visit I ordered a half order of chili nachos after seeing another patron with the same order. Fresh tortilla chips, cheese, black olive, jalapenos, chili, pica de gallo, guacamole, and maybe some other toppings. None drowned the nachos, but there were enough toppings for the whole order. Sour cream also comes on top, but we declined that. This was a new order for me but I was very impressed. On most other visits we order pepperoni pizza. This pizza has a light thin crust, charred perfectly, with the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. Add some dried chili flakes, and this is a great beer drinking pizza. The pizza comes to around $10. I haven't ventured far into their extensive menu but I have ordered a burger there before, my girlfriend has ordered the chili, and we went for brunch once when they did that. I haven't had a problem with anything on the menu. I think though, that I've ordered smartly, and I also think that compared to what I've heard, the food quality has improved over the past couple of years. I can suggest this place to anyone who enjoyed craft beer, and a snack to have an excuse to drink more beer to wash down said snack.

A hot spot in Bangor for meeting up with friends or coworkers for drinks and a bite to eat, you can be almost certain you'll find someone you know at the Sea Dog (if you're from the area, that is). On the weekends there is lots of live (and pretty decent) entertainment. As the name suggests, they brew their own beer here, and it's actually pretty darn good! Since they do brew their own here, the selection of other beers is very limited (and they will get pretty offended if you ask for something other than their own-trust me!). The food is okay. I've never had a bad meal here. Their burgers are actually quite good and they have some inventive and yummy salads for lunchtime. I do prefer their appetizers to meals, however. You can't go wrong with the Oven Roasted Nachos!

My mom pretty much hates everywhere. On top of that, she has a food allergy (soy) and has experienced the horrible aftermath of indifferent servers. BUT NOT TODAY! TODAY, was absolutely wonderful. The team here went above and beyond. She had a sesame salmon with beet risotto and they made it fresh for her. Thank you chef, we can tell you love what you do! Apricot ale, blueberry ale, raspberry ale was also pretty nice. We didn't get to try the blueberry pie because it was sold out but that must be a good sign.

My husband and I decided we wanted to have lunch outside on a nice summer day, so we headed to the Sea Dog. We were seated promptly and our server got our drinks. We noticed that the faux leather tablecloth felt sticky due to the hot weather. When she returned with our drinks, she accidentally knocked over the salt and the top popped off. The salt stuck to the tablecloth and couldn't just be brushed away. When she walked away, we assumed she was getting a wet cloth, but the next time we saw her, she was bringing our meal. My husband asked her to clean up the salt, she said "sure", but we didn't see her again until she brought the check. On the topic of our actual meal, it was not very good. I got the Grilled Crab & Havarti Sandwich which was gross. The crab salad was not drained properly and my bread was soaked. My husband's pub burger was decent, but pretty pricey for a burger that didn't taste any better than what other places serve. The worst part of it all is that I messaged the company on Facebook about the tablecloth and salt incident and while my message was seen, it was never responded to. So, instead of leaving a permanent review, I copied and pasted it in the comment sections of their Facebook so it could be addressed. They deleted it. It was rather ridiculous that it was not even acknowledged. We won't be returning - High Tide is right across the river.

SeaDog brews all seem sweet. Tried a 5 variety sampler, none had the body or depth of flavor I am used to. However, their braised Brussels sprouts and cauliflower over field greens was top notch!

Meh sums it up. The beer isn't particularly enjoyable nor is the food. The only good thing it's got going for it is the outdoor seating along the river. So many better choices in Bangor, don't waste your time here.

My server was the best part of the meal. I dread traveling in-state for work - dealing with the tax-exempt part of traveling is not fun. You try arguing with a Dunkin Donuts cashier about being tax exempt with paperwork in hand at 7am and feeling the heat of an angry uncaffinated Mainer's stare on your back from the people in line. It's not fun. Kate was a dream. I had two weird requests - one for the tax-exempt for the meal and my pint of beer to be put on another tab (another work thing, but fear not taxpayer, your money is not going toward my booze) for me to pay for personally. Kate didn't even blink and said, no problem! Amazeballs. I had a lovely seat overlooking the river, and watching all of the ice break up and float down the river while drinking a Sunfish on a 60 degree day.... bliss. My burger was good, met expectations. I wanted to sit for a while a read after my food and beer, and Kate was genuine when she said, "Take your time, I will let you be for a bit if you want." Usually a server will say, take your time, with the undertones of - hey, we need to flip this table and I don't want to be a jerk, but can you go? It was a quieter Tuesday night, so she just let me know I was okay to sit and read, and watch huge chunks of ice float down the river.

The pickle chips were amazing! The lobster would have been better if they would have opened up the main body and got all the grossness out before serving it. Something about the stuff dining out turned me off of the rest of the lobster. The coleslaw and fries were also great. You must try their beers, I am a big fan of their raspberry

Clam chowder that tastes like clams, not just cream. Definitely one of the best chowders i have had on a 10 day trip through New England. Delicious Hazelnut Porter, which i enjoyed immensely on the deck. Great atmosphere and beautiful views on the river.

The Sea Dog has a lot going for it. Prime location next to the Waterfront where you can sit on the patio overlooking the river and listen to the concerts next door with little distortion. Dozens of televisions for watching sports games inside. Buzztime trivia with competitive regulars duking it out. A solid mug club with slightly cheaper beer specials (and a free awesome t-shirt). Oh, and significantly above average food for a bar, including one of the best spinach/artichoke dips I've ever tried. So what's my beef? The service. There's bad, and then there's atrocious. Sea Dog is always understaffed, whether it's a slow Tuesday night or a bustling weekend. Typically there is 1 (one!) bartender serving 20-30 people at the U-shaped wrap-around bar, and the wait staff is usually goofing off somewhere and never paying attention. It blows my mind. When they do come around, the orders are frequently screwed up or even forgotten. Another complaint is that I doubt the lines from the kegs have been cleaned in a while -- the beer has been tasting progressively funky over the past 2-3 weeks (tip: ask for the beer coming from the taps opposite from the front door...or just get something from a bottle). The good news is that these are all fix-able offenses. If Bangor had ANY other decent sports bars (other than Buffalo Wild Wings, which doesn't count), this place would lose a ton of business. Until then, I'll continue to make the trek to the waterfront in hopes of the service getting better -- because on good nights, this place can be a lot of fun.

Cold food. The barbecue chicken was grilled chicken breast. It was not real chicken, nor was there any free floating barbecue sauce. It was lukewarm. The corn cob surfaces were lukewarm too, with cold centers. The potato salad was pretty good. The service was a bit hurried. The view was nice.

OK food, but not worth the price. I stopped here before a concert at the nearby Waterfront Pavillion. I thought eating here before the show would be better than eating at the concert. They have a special, and limited, pre-concert menu. We ordered the large buffalo tenders, a bowl of clam chowder, one beer, and one Pina Colada. The total cost was $40. The large chicken tenders were $18. I was expecting something sizable. It was 10 strips of chicken, all big enough for about 2 bites per piece. They tasted fine, but I was surprised by the gap between the size and the price. The clam chowder was ok (I'm told) and the Pina Colada was lacking any hints of alcohol. It's a nice looking place, and the food was certainly acceptable. But, the ratio of portion to price is too off for my taste. Seeing the food options inside the concert venue, I regretted not just eating at the show, as the food looked good, and were far more reasonable in price than I expected from concert concessions.

We tried this place yesterday...our server was friendly, and the food was good for the most part. My husband and I had the spinach artichoke dip with a sampler of 10 beers which were fantastic (the sea dog summer, blueberry, and apricot beers were my favorites). My meal was just so-so...I had the fisherman's pie, which was good minus the breadcrumbs on top. I will definitely be back but will try the fish and chips next time.

After an amazing evening where we had a great time a a security guy walked up to my friend saying he was disrespectful for no reason. I was standing next to my friend and asked what happened. He was just standing there, next to me. For no good reason he through him out. He and another guy through us both out and when I asked what happened they litterally threw me out. Sounds like a drunken evening but no, this dude was very rude. For no reason. We had a great evening and a great meal but when something like this happens it is very scary! Check your staff please!!

View is nice. The beer is ok. If you are a person who really likes craft beer then I would look elsewhere. If you are new to craft beer you might like their beer as most of it is a bit watered down for lack of a better word. If you find yourself here try the stout or blonde

We were recommended to the Sea Dog by our hotel's front-desk staff when we were in Bangor on an overnight stop recently, and thought we'd give it a try. As we walked in, we found the early-Friday-evening noise level inside the really large and cavernous bar too high for our tastes. Thankfully, the Sea Dog has a large raised and covered deck that we got a table at, overlooking the river and another large restaurant on the other side. Our server was courteous and prompt, but not especially warm or memorable. I'll give her big kudos for coming back after we ordered drinks to tell me that the brown ale tap was malfunctioning and giving me the chance to choose another beer from their brews. I chose the stout, which was a pretty good one. My partner is a big cider fan, and she was disappointed that the one thing they had to try was a pear cider she wasn't a fan of. I had their buffalo chicken sandwich, which was quite good. I see someone else saying the fries are the worst in the world; I didn't find them bad at all. The chicken breast fillet was tasty and nicely spicy with that Franks Red Hot taste to it. My partner had the Waldorf Wrap, which she quite enjoyed. Then we shared a dessert, but I'm damned if I can remember what it was, which doesn't suggest it was the most memorable dessert ever. Is it a place I'd definitely go back to in the future? No. It's quite likely I'd head back there if I were in Bangor again, because the restaurant scene doesn't seem that strong. Would I push people to go there? Not particularly. A nice view, pretty good beer, decent food. Nothing to rave over, and nothing to be particularly disappointed in or disgusted by.

The wait wasn't super long, but they were handing out a lot of buzzers. I was confused when they finally seated us because there did appear to be empty tables. I think the only thing I liked about the meal was their blueberry beer. I wanted to try their fried clams, but they ran out so I ended up with the fried scallops. I guess frying them took away the soft buttery feel of a scallop. It wasn't chewy, but it was a bit firm. The service was also a bit slow. Not so much for the food, but just getting our beers. Sad because I wanted to like it more than I did.

Large menu with many veggie options. The kids are always happy to have choices other than a hot dog. Lots of good beers and a cider. We like the location and the outdoor deck -- and indoors is great in the colder weather. We never hesitate to come here for a casual meal.

(4)Brandon B.
I don't know why I keep coming here? I get take-out here occasionally and they mess up the order every time. They literally leave out parts of the food as advertised. The whole experience is meh. The food looks like it is prepared by an experienced crystal meth user.
(2)Rudy N.
Beer great. Food average. My baked stuffed Haddock tasted like it was cooked earlier and then sat in warmer. Staff super friendly
(3)Jim M.
Very unhappy with every aspect of Sea Dog. The beer was bad at best and the food was cold when we received it. I expected more!
(1)Kelly M.

(3)Chris B.

(4)Chad S.
Shady looking place in a dark location at night. However, the vibe inside is friendly, nothing special. Service was fantastic and food was recommendable.
(3)Jann J.
(1)Charlene W.
The deck over looking the river is great in summer. The beer is alright. The food is good but nothing special when it comes to bar food. Never had a bad meal but never had anything phenomenal.
(3)Blair J.

(2)Lottie S.
(4)Kim J.
Fantastic restaurant! With great gluten free options. Best New England chowda ever!! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. We'll be back!
(5)T N.
The food was pretty blah -- low-quality ingredients and overcooked fish. The beer that they had was excellent, but they were out of two of their own varieties that we tried to order (including the monthly special).
(2)Shane L.

Not a barrel of laughs, but did her job well The food was by all accounts AVERAGE or just OK Draft beer was fresh tasting The prices seemed much higher than the overall quality of the food served PROS: easy access good parking regular guy/girl menu easy for a group CONS: underwhelming food (even for regular Joe menu) price to quality ratio is low My rating would be a 6 out of 10
(3)Susan C.
Excellent lobster bisque!! Great beers and atmosphere :-). Love sitting out on the deck!!!
(5)Colby C.

(4)Scott M.
Great bar. Even learned how to pronounce Bangor from a local. Service was very good. Food was excellent. View and atmosphere of outside seating was very good. Will return when next in Bangor.
(4)Bianca L.
(5)Sarah J.
Prices are too high for the area, but you pay for the deck/river view. Their beer is okay, their food hit and miss.
(3)Mattias C.
(4)Meaghan K.

(5)Wayne T.
Had the seafood stuffed haddock this evening and it was great. The service was outstanding and the setting was perfect. Can't ask for much more?
(4)Tricia M.
I love the Sea Dog!
(5)Lauren C.
The food is really good, and so is the beer. I love the atmopshere, but the service could be better! Service is a little slow at times, but they do seem to get very busy. Love going with my friends to catch up and have a beer.
(4)christian C.
(1)Laura L.
The sweet potatoes fries were delicious, but my sandwich was a bit greasy and kept falling apart. Excellent service. The price was a little higher than I expected for its quality, but I'll be coming back for the fries!
(4)Lauren R.
the location is great, the name is great, I hear the beer choices are great, but the food is HORRIBLE!
(2)Cory M.
(3)Heather V.
Fun atmosphere, great to sit down and chat with friends in the evening. If they have them, the chai white russians are a delicious treat!
(4)Sarah E.
(3)Jeffrey C.
(1)Matt G.
Place is great. Stopped in for lunch, service was quick and friendly. Def seems a place I'd go back to have a few or many beers.
(5)Justin B.

(4)Jerry M.
Just an average restaurant. Lots of good local beers. Service at dinner OK. Service at lunch took way to long.
(2)Dmitry O.
great place to have a drink and have a bite to eat
(4)Jason H.
(2)Mark M.
(1)Mary D.
The beer is awesome (their 'mug club' is totally worth the price of admission). The food is typically good, but can be inconsistent, particularly the seafood. Great chili and burgers, and they make a mean Reuben.
(4)Andrew P.
Seasonal beers. Pumpkin was bland but in a good way. Lobster feast is a pretty good deal, including beer, mussels, chowder, and lobster. Attentive service.
(3)Steve M.
Nice, large, brewery sports bar. Good staff. Great home brews and icy cold. Ate there twice and food was OK but nothing remarkable. It's a good place to go with a group as they can accommodate and service properly and you can catch your favorite games on the TV's or shoot some pool.
(3)Steve B.
(2)Johnny M.
(4)Joan K.
(1)Mark R.
(3)angela s.
the beer was really good -- i had the hazlenut porter. but the pallella made my stomach so sore. Service was horrible but only because this place is so popular and busy. Liked the band, too. My husband eats here all the time and really likes it.
(3)Lindsey F.

Food always good, beer is outstanding, prices on the high side, service on the slow side

Good selection of beers. Great atmosphere to enjoy a game on the big screen with friends

We attended a banquet here. Food was a buffet and it was good. Grilled chicken, salad and rice pilaf. Simple, but prepared well

Very tasty food. Our server Justin was excellent. Really good service... The only complaint would be in the clam pasta. Clams definitely overcooked but the pasta in garlic sauce was delicious.

This place is a fun place to hang out with ok beer that is local brewed with a great out door deck over looking the water. But the food is online with Hooters. Not great and mostly frozen prior.

Went to Sea Dog tonight for dinner on rec from hotel shuttle driver. Pleasant staff, superb lobster and great beer! Nice view on water.

(2)Sara C.

(1)Briit R.
View is nice. The beer is ok. If you are a person who really likes craft beer then I would look elsewhere. If you are new to craft beer you might like their beer as most of it is a bit watered down for lack of a better word. If you find yourself here try the stout or blonde
(3)Bob L.

(3)Kristin W.
Large menu with many veggie options. The kids are always happy to have choices other than a hot dog. Lots of good beers and a cider. We like the location and the outdoor deck -- and indoors is great in the colder weather. We never hesitate to come here for a casual meal.
