Just ate at the Vickery Cafe, for the first time. Unbelievable...my melt was amazing. I would recommend this cute little place to all that travel through Augusta!

Such a friendly staff!! They gave us local recommendations and were so sweet. And that cape cod chicken salad...on point! You have to try it!

I used to work across the street for the Vickery Cafe and have always enjoyed the staff and the food! Their sandwiches and breads are delicious and their soups are amazing! Not to mention their muffins and tasty treats. It's a quaint establishment and can get very busy at peak breakfast and lunch hours. it's recently changed ownership, so there have been some changes. I haven't had lunch yet since the change, but I can tell you their muffins and mini whoopie pies are wonderful, and with a new pain job and minor changes to the decor it's really brightened up! Definitely check this place out!

Just recently discovered this place. Delicious, fresh sandwiches, and the staff is super friendly. The sandwiches come with a little bag of chips and a pickle, and for a pretty decent price too. I've had both hot and cold sandwiches, and have yet to have one I didn't enjoy. Great little place to stop in for lunch. Not sure why WiFi and a homeless man have much to do with a cafe, but to each his own. Great place if you want a yummy sandwich for lunch.

I visited Maine in the off-season. I came in November for business. FYI... nobody goes to Maine in November if they don't live there... or if they're not on business trips. Anyway, this place is crap. They didn't know if wireless internet was available. It wasn't BTW. It was small and didn't have food that looked appetizing. I would have been better off dining at the gas station. The coffee was piss water. Not brewed very well at all. No Splenda and no milk. Only real sugar and half and half. I sat down and tried to connect to the internet to no avail and while I figured out it was worthless to come here, an old crazy man started talking to me. I don't think he bought anything. I actually think he may have been homeless cause he was pushing a little cart of dirty things around. He went right into a story about how he hates computers. He thinks they're either beautiful or the devil. He said someone at the VA hospital pushed a computer button and erased 10 years of medical records and ruined lives because of that person didn't understand technology. Anyway, I didn't have a good experience here. Try it for yourself if you want... but I'd say pass.

Yummy sandwiches & cookies. Many healthy lunch selections. Hours are short at lunch during the week so call first to make sure they are open. Ample parking on water street. Can dine in or outside. Really friendly service!
