I've been to this place many, many times. The first time I went, I thought the menu was a really pleasant surprise! I expected the burgers and wings, which they certainly do have! But they also have rock fish tacos, shrimp lettuce wraps and a really good flat bread pizza they're happy to customize for you. Staff is really friendly. On occasion, I have had to wait a bit on a busy Fri or Sat, but I have never seen the staff not busting their humps to keep up. I've seen the owner himself pitch in several times just to run food and clear dishes. Bartenders do not skimp when mixing drinks and happy hr specials are pretty good. Really diverse crowd- I really like that I can dress up or we can walk in directly from the stable in boots and a dirty shirt and not feel judged. The only negative thing I can say is that their new "deli" menu can be hit or miss... I felt I got a really good corned beef sandwich for the price. I did not feel the same about the chicken or shrimp salad sandwich. But there's still the main menu to choose from!

At first I loved the place. They had some of the best burgers in town. We went there several times for the burgers alone. However somewhere along the line things went downhill, primarily with the service. The last two times we went were highlighted by a drunk racist yelling about Indian people at the bar while the bartender kept serving him and his friends, and another instance where I greeted the bartender as we entered and then was left sitting without service for ten minutes. Walked out and haven't been back because I'm just not feeling it.

I've always enjoyed this little gem. It's on the smaller side, and I can usually always get a seat at the bar.. but they have tables as well. I've never had a problem with their food, noise level, or music selection- and I love the decorations. It feels homey. I have had a bad bar tender once, but she is only human and was probably having a bad week. The only things I will warn about is I guess the kitchen closes at 10 pm? That kinda sucks on a Saturday night. ((Although the bar tenders gave us chips which was great because we were starving.)) And this is not their fault, but cab services do not come out to this place on time, if at all. I had to walk home with my boyfriend because we couldn't get a cab. Luckily for us we only live 3 or 4 miles away.

how can you advertise a pound and a half of colossal wings for $13.99 and serve 8 small & skinny wings ? pot roast fries - where's the beef??. i will never ever give this place the time of day!!!

It depends what you're looking for here if you want some the best crabs around this part of town they certainly have it although at a high price. Find the service a bit spotty and they tend to have too few waitresses for the amount of people at dinner time. I also find the general trees to be a bit pricey for what you get so in summary if you want to grab this is the place to go but I don't know I would recommend it for anything else.

Some folks are comfortable in their skin and know exactly who they are. So it is with the Woodstock Inn. There are bikers here but it sure doesn't seem like a complete biker bar. The staff is friendly, the food exactly like you'd expect for a small neighborhood restaurant in Woodstock, MD, and the bar is excellent. There is no pretense and the customers are friendly. We were there on open mic night and it was fun, relaxed, and the blues band not half bad. If you're looking for the best food in the world, try somewhere else. But if you want a few brews, some good bar food, and a little live music, you could do a whole lot worse. Recommended. Especially if your arrive there on two wheels.

Life is good when you are driving along a two lane road, lined with tall trees, and you find a great place like The Woodstock Inn, in Woodstock, MD. It is more biker bar at night it seems but during the day, locals, delivery drivers, and people passing through seem to like this place. The outside is funky chic and it is located near the railroad tracks and yes, a train passed by. The menu has a nice variety of starters, salads, sandwiches, double decker burgers, and entrees, including pot roast. This is home cooking! I had pretzel sticks topped with crab dip that were so good. I ordered the burger sliders, got four and they were a good size. The meat tasted very fresh. My friend had the crab cake sliders that were lots of crab, little filler. The sandwich of the day was a fried soft shell that looked huge and a nice crispy golden brown. They only offer one kind of dessert each day but it varies. We had a delicious slice of blueberry pie with a perfect crust. This may be off the usual trail for some but worth the drive. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and they worked!

My friend and I came here one Friday afternoon for happy hour. I love driving to random places, so we discovered this spot going through rural Howard County. Great drink specials and a decent free buffet. Also, they have TVs and a pool table. The service was a little questionable, though.

Not impressed. $15 for a cheesesteak wrap and it was ice cold, cheese wasn't even melted. Sent it back, was told that the cook put it in the oven, still ice cold. Won Keno, didn't have enough money to pay me. That's not what ticked me off, it was the fact of standing by the Lottery machine, being looked at by the bartender with no acknowledgment for at least 10 minutes. They were all doing shots with some of the patrons. When finally acknowledged, very rude. Don't think we will be going back. Used to love riding there on our bikes.

I've been going here for many years and have seen a lot of changes. The food has been dissapointing at times possibly due to frequent staffing changes which seems to result in inconsistancies

In the last 5 years this awesome local restaurant has evolved from a greasy-spoon biker bar dive loved only by locals to a really nice, clean, good menu horse and biker bar loved mostly by locals. The location could not be nicer. Nestled along the Patapsco River and surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest- yet only 10 minutes from Rt. 70/Marriottsville Rd. There are always, always a few motorcycles outside, and often some horses tied to one of the two hitching posts. Don't be scared though, this is Howard County. The guys riding Harley's are probably doctors, lawyers, or real estate agents... The food here is excellent for the price. They do wonderful wraps, the chips (which you need to ask for) are amazing, and the burgers are gigantic and prepared to order. The service is usually good, but food delivery tends to be pretty slow. Not the place to eat if you are in a hurry. But it's worth it. I recommend trying the cream of crab soup, the rib wrap with chips, and of course a cold beer. This is a wonderful place to visit with some friends for a Ravens game. Go early. Take a hike along the railroad tracks, the river, or the trail network on the opposite side of the bridge to work up a hunger. Talk to the people riding horses. Watch the deer or blue herons, etc. Then head inside for a leisurely meal of really good food in a great atmosphere. I eat here quite often with my kids. It's nice, check it out.

I had a pre-hike lunch here with a good friend. I left my car in the parking lot for several hours while we wandered in Patapsco State Park, eventually lost, drenched from the rain we cheerfully tried to ignore, and cold enough to consider walking blindly through a dark train tunnel through which we could not see the other side, just to have a safe and secure "trail" back to exactly where we'd left ourselves at the bright and cheery Woodstock Inn. When we arrived back to the inn at dusk as two somnolent, weather worn, not really worse for wear travelers - still too weary to have a beer as planned to celebrate our stamina induced event, we shared a cigarette in aforementioned parking lot and drove our separate ways home. But, my car did not get towed from their parking lot, to my relief, and I add the charm of the Woodstock inn to my memory bank for a colorful connection to our mild misadventure when I have the occasion to drive by.

Classic bar. Great service. Interesting characters. Good music. Average beer menu. The crab cakes are also very good.
